Shepherds Shelter & Ross Rehab is a faith based, privately owned addiction treatment facility in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Set on sprawling farmland at the roots of the Appalachian Mountains the facility is surrounded by the tranquility of nature. You’ll find a peaceful, safe haven for your recovery as you live onsite for your treatment. Shepherd
Shepherds Shelter is an amazing program It is life changing to anyone who is willing to accept Christ into their life. I am now approaching 2 years of sobriety after going through this program. It has not only turned everything around in my life I would go as far as saying it saved me from myself and the life I settled for in addiction. I have been working as peer support since completing treatment, and am well on my way to obtaining an associates degree in Human Services. The treatment offered here and God have done many things for me I would never have done for myself. I not only recommend this program to anyone still suffering through active addiction to consider treatment through Shepherds Shelter but I encourage them to take that first step in surrendering to God and welcoming Christ into their lives by reaching out to this facility. Transformation is possible and we do recover...but it all starts with the individual!

I have been connected to this ministry for over 15 years and I have been able to see the consistency to not only minister against the enemy of addiction but they build deep relationship roots of Jesus Christ in the individual. They do not work for a six month program but they work for a life partnership to always be there for the individual even after the program is finished. This ministry has devoted their lives to those that many times the church does not want but the Lord deeply desires! So thankful the Lord showed me this ministry and that is why I partnered with them. -Patrick Lager

Hello my name is Michael and I am family. I remember the first time I said this because it is the way we introduce ourselves at shepherds shelter. To be honest I didn't want to say it and didn't believe it. After 26 years of drug abuse I was anything but family by the world's standard I was Labeled as a drug addict junkie, thief, convict, liar, user and a list of names I'd rather not mention. But as I soon learned from pastor " it's not what people call you that matters it's what you answer to" I'm proud to say that today I am 2 1/2yrs sober a man of God because of the love and mercy that was shown to me through all shepherds shelter staff and especially Pastor and momma. Before coming to Shepherds Shelter I spent almost the last 10yrs of my life sleeping on the street. I seen nights I have literally almost froze to death. Spent 10 years in prisons and jails and seen no kind of hope for anything good I soon found myself back in jail , so I begged for rehab. Honestly my intention was just to get out of jail but that all changed in a Saturday night church service as I hit my knees to pray. I didn't pray some fancy prayer or make any deals I simply submitted I told God I don't know what I'm doing I obviously don't know how to live life please show me. Boy was I in for a game changer. The more I leaned into what was being taught there the more I started to see and feel change in my life. I truly became family and was treated as such. The values and morals that have been instilled in me from shepherds shelter have forever changed not only my life but every life I come in contact with. I am no longer that list of terrible names. I am first and foremost a man of God but I am also a husband a father a son a brother a friend and most of all I AM FAMILY AT SHEPHERDS SHELTER. Today I am someone you ministers the gospel and tries to show the same love and mercy I was shown here. I have my own home a beautiful wife and an awesome relationship with my children. This place saved my life. They not only help during residential but after too. There is no place better to go.

I was admitted to The Chrysalis House in August 2019. I gave birth to my daughter while in treatment. I gained all of the skills and therapy I needed to sustain my recovery. I graduated in February 2020. I have full custody of all three of my children, I have a full time career as a recovery coach where I live now, I attend school full time as a Social Work major, and I am closing on my first home in 11 days. I was able to go from homeless to homeowner with the education I gained through this program. I'm able to be a mother, a student, and an employee rather than a hopeless addict that arrived at their door with two dollar general bags of clothes and hygiene products. I would recommend this program to any mother struggling with addiction. The chrysalis house saved my life and I am incredibly grateful for the healing I received from such a nurturing environment. YOUR LIFE MATTERS!

Absolutely the best choice I ever made for myself. I entered the program in June 2008 graduated August 2009. The transformation my life as well as myself underwent during this period was in short the most profound experience I've ever known. Chrysalis gave me a strong foundation and support that provided a safety net in the event I began to self sabotage all I'd worked so very hard to achieve. What this program offers goes beyond treatment if you're in danger of losing your children they fight with and for you to be with your children and don't stop until you have them there in the program with you. They provide housing, job club, an abundance of resources that are available for just about anything and everything. It doesn't mater who you are, where you're from or how much or how little you have. If you want help with addiction this is the place to help you.

If you want a place to start your recovery journey, this is it. There is no room for the nonsense you will find at other 30 day inpatient facilities. All the staff will help you succeed in any way they can, setting you up for longer term treatment in there sober living program. I have been to other treatments in the past but Ethan health is by far the best. They check all boxes you are looking for in a recovery journey. I owe them for where my life is heading today.

Went to have my blood drawn so I didn't have to drive the hour to Lexington. I was unable to get out so long they canceled the order. The folks at the clinic were amazing, got the order re-input, and helped me while I had a panic attack. My PTSD is very severe, and they did what was best so I could get it done.

I transferred my care from VA Somerset to VA Berea because of convenience. I'm so glad I did! I met with Dr. Bennett for initial patient visit. She took her time going over my medical chart, explained answers I had in great detail. I've always gotten good care at VA Somerset as well as VA Bowling Green, but this care at VA Berea is at the next level!!!👍👍👍

I came through this facility twice. Back in 2022 I did 28 days when that was still apart of the program and completed. I came back Jan 8th, 2023 with the intentions of leaving the next day to go to a sober living because of transportation issues the day before and had no where to go. The staff greeted me with open arms and convinced me that I was right where God intended for me to be, not to mention I had a warrant. Within a week, the case department got my warrant revoked and got me back on the docket with a new court date. So I decided to do the short term again. After a couple of weeks, my brothers in the program had me really take a look at what God was doing for me and how far id come in such a short time and convinced me to sign up for long term. Life finally started to look up for me at this point. I trudged thru, learned to life skills on how to stay sober, and made some life long friends. Now... I get to give back to the program who gave some much to me. Im at their Chaplin Facility working House Management as Lead 2nd Shift Client Support. But God...

I came to Isaiah House main campus in July of 2024 hurt, broken and totally at the end of the road. I have used alcohol and drugs the past 45 years of my life trying to stop on my own lots of times but couldn't do it. When I walked through the doors I was amazed by the staff how they welcomed me. Now 8 months later after they literally loved me back to life I am proud to say that I am sober which my family thought would be impossible and very proud to be a staff member and will graduate in June of the long term program. I found God there which I had never had in my life and the tools they gave me and God's blessings I am alive now and the happiest that I have ever been in my life. If you are struggling as I was I would recommend you call Isaiah House and let us change your life like they have mine.

Look I'm going to keep it 100 right I don't get how anyone that has been there more than once would give any less than five stars. For real this is the first time I've done a review and I did it cuz I seen some haters and I ain't with that especially when I know it's real. All right so I want to highlight a few things and people that should give you a clear picture if you ain't never been there. Angie and Vic stand out to me because they're the first people you see when you get there and they make you feel welcome and they are really on point when it comes to making things happen quickly. I got ADD that one way and I'm terrible with names and I wanted to put everybody in here but I'm about to leave some people out and I apologize. I've been to a few other treatment places and none of them can compare to the service and flexibility along with the way you feel like everybody really has an interest in your well-being. Trish is like a counselor now so it looks like she is in an even better role to personally affect people's lives and it's easy to see that her interest in your success is genuine. I've been going there since 2020 and they've always done their thing but here lately they really on top of their game. If you in a tight spot financially they gon work with you and now there even little things like free snacks and other things. They are involved every area of your life that you feel needs improvement. Mental and physical health services are part of the package and even tho the stigma of substance abuse has been declining they ensure your confidentiality and will help you with your legal matters or parole/probation which is a big deal if you got to deal with the system. There's a couple ladies I wanted to mention just cuz they of important role they play in the whole experience so I'm hoping I can edit this after I see them next week. Angie isn't there all the time but when she is she keeps things moving and I have to give the boss a shout out cuz every time I needed something that he could help with he didn't hesitate to make it happen. What's crazy is that even with all the requirements that you go through to get your meds (which they provide right there on site so you don't even have to go to a pharmacy) they get you in and out of there so much quicker than they used to. If it's your first day going there so I can say is be prepared for a long day and a thorough examination which is necessary to get you started the right way. But after that it's usually pretty quick and easy. Last thing I want to say is how awesome the providers are. They never rush you through and don't judge you or chastise you if you slip up. I've been clean of opiates since 6-17-2013 because of Suboxone and back when I started it was super expensive and hard to get. I'm glad times have changed and a place like Brightview in Fairfield, Ohio exists. 💯

Only complaint I have is each Brightview location should have their own number so when an addict needs to talk to someone they have a number to reach their councler or Dr... I realize it's not ideal to be available 24/7 but it could save someone's life and wouldn't that make it all worthwhile. Thank you Brightview

Brightview has played a significant role in my recovery from opioids. I would be dead if not for this medication. I say, thank the Gods for modern medication 😸😁🌄
