Watching a loved one struggle as many in my family has, is heartbreaking. Michael is a miracle & God has put the right people in his path. They introduced me to narcotics anonymous which is a program. I never had tried before and just recently got two years clean. They sent me up for the beginning to stay clean. It is the only place I’ve ever seen where when you get to go to meetings you’ll see the staff there and they treat you like family not a number. I also used to work for the same program, which is ARIA and both experiences were phenomenal. I highly recommend this if you want to change your life it changed mine. However, the rest of the hospital has been beyond exceptional. During covid in 2022, I spent two weeks recovering in the Lex VA hospital and really got to see exceptional care. Last year I spent a total of a month (two weeks each time) in the Lex VA hospital and was reminded why I stay in the Lex VA region. From nursing assistants, nurses, doctors, physical rehabilitation, nutritionist and everyone that took care of me on a daily basis showed beyond exceptional care. My only complaint would be the doctor turnover rate can make it difficult to get comfortable with a doctor. But, the doctors are always above par. The staff is wonderful and always eager to help. The Office is also clean and easy to get to. Terri and TJ have been working there from the start and I would trust them with my life. I'm grateful for a a good place I can trust with my recovery. Truth is I would be just another statistic dead due to overdose! They have taught me how to live again, love myself, and become a productive member of society. With the medication along with the groups and counseling and support from their human resource team. I’ve been able to get back on my feet and any bumps in the road they are always their the help me figure it out.With the groups and counseling have helped me reprogram my brain into a healthier mindset to deal with everyday life situations with out turning to drugs. It doesn’t happen overnight it has taken me years to get where I am, but it works, and that’s why I’ve always came back. I know what I can be using this life changing program.
