Everyone was so kind and accommodating and helped us as a whole family. I really trust the care they got and while I expect we still have work to do we are a lot less lost on where to go from here. Also since ending care with Embark, we have been able to get some guidance (before we left as well but even after) on resources outside of their center. Special gratitude to Lydia, Lee and Cameron. Chris from the front desk and Diana from group were also such kind souls. I wish we didn’t have struggles but at the same time we met the kindest people to help us navigate this phase. And now have skills to cope when things come up again (which they will on some level for sure.) Embark was an amazing experience for our entire family. Our son was enrolled in the eight week PHP this past fall. It was by far the most effective treatment we have ever received. This included individual, group, and family therapy and medication management. The program and staff were fantastic. The staff challenged our son which led to some emotional moments. However, it was during these times when walls were broken down and he was able to grow. Similarly, family therapy challenged us as parents where we also experienced breakthroughs and growth. Throughout the program our son gained greater insight into himself and built confidence. We could see the improvement in him on a daily and weekly basis. He became more comfortable with himself and around others and truly enjoyed attending Embark every day. The progress he made during the program exceeded our expectations. However, what has truly gone beyond our expectations is the impact Embark has had on him since he returned to school. It has been seamless. Jamie Guy 1 month ago I had a great experience and this was my 4th treatment center. It’s not a cookie cutter program and felt very comfortable and welcomed. Since I left I’m still involved with the stuff they do in after care and alumni activities which are great ways to stay connected to a lot of people who truly are still putting in the work to stay sober and a lot of us have become close friends and hang out a few times a week. It’s not uptight like a lot of places which is very helpful in early recovery, the music aspect is great even if you don’t play any instruments, and the housing setup is great as well. The rules are pretty simple. No vaping inside (at the center) and you can’t have your phone during group lol pretty reasonable. Otherwise there’s still a sense of normalcy. Highly recommend to anyone who’s ready to make that 1st big step! I was a bit apprehensive at first and couldn’t be more grateful that I did it. I haven’t felt this good in 20 years! She took her time and was patient with me during my test. Ultra sounds on your legs at least for me hurt very badly. But she took the time to press gently and thoughtfully. I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. They do not offer detox specifically but if you're doing a detox, they are able to support with their varied staff of psychiatrists, PRN, nurses, and psychologists as well as peer support specialists. I wouldn't have made it to today as psychologically intact as I am without them! My issues were: they cannot always accommodate a vegetarian or vegan diet & the nightly bed checks require some disturbance if you're a light sleeper. My experience was the transition has been a fairly seamless one. I think the new company is doing great and everyone has worked together to make a great MAT facility. This clinic has only improved since I've been here. Although it's a very small clinic there is never a wait, I am in and out quickly. My counselor is wondeful and does not have the "treatment burnout," that often happens in MAT settings. All of the counselors are extremely helpful. If you follow the simple rules, this clinic will work for you. I must mention before closing that the front desk ladies are the best!! Having someone smile and ask you how you are doing is thoughtful. Thanks to everyone that makes this place work. If you are considering going to Annandale Comprehensive treatment, go.
