I am currently working with her and am so appreciative of her patience, willingness to work around my preferences and requests regarding my treatment goals (even when I slip up or it's inconvenient), curiosity about what's going on in my life, and kind, professional demeanor. She also referred me to a DBT program that ended up being much more supportive and a better fit for me than the therapist I was seeing before that. Yes people complain a lot but try going outside the system. I have had nothing but wonderful service at all the military facilities. I was very sick and if it weren't for WR I would not be here. I would think for what you pay for medical care in the military system you would be a lot more thankful. Think of people that don't have this and have to pay a lot and some people cannot even afford medical care. Stop whining and be thankful.

My journey started there. Many great counselors. A couple of them really should find another career, but nobody is perfect. I still believe they do there best.
I urge anyone who is in need of help to call. I am very grateful to them. Addiction is fatal when untreated. The good news is early recovery is temporary as well as painful.

My experience was great since the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted wonderfully. I was taken to the PHP house after checking in and provided a room with ease. I felt welcome the whole time I was there. It all made sense from the morning meetings to the evening meetings. Everything and everyone was there as scheduled and I received all type of recovery care with in minutes of requesting it. The Freedom Center goes above and beyond for acommadations. It has made me a better Anthony and I will forever be greatful to The Freedom Center.
Remember all, just trust the process and take it one day at a time. By the end, the scariest part is going back to the normal life.

I never knew urgent medical care could be provided with so much caring empathy, and investment in the patient's wellbeing.
The last few days I've basically lived at the VHC. My mom had a quadruple bypass. During the procedure my dad had to go to the emergency room for severe chest pains. Every step, every nurse, every doctor, were incredibly invested in the health and well-being of my parents.

I drank everyday for 17 years following my return from service overseas. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive to my needs as well as the others I met in residential treatment. They definitely were able to reach the root of my alcohol addiction and help put forth a plan for my continued success. I am almost 3 months sober and truly haven't felt better in my life. They’re easy to talk to and very friendly and make you feel like you’re talking to one of your closest friend(s) that you can share anything with. Would HIGHLY recommend exploring treatment options with Kolmac if you’re ready to step into your recovery. ❤️🩹 I completed the 90(ish) day IOP program attending online group sessions three times a week for three hours in addition to individual medical appts/medication management and individual treatment plan planning. I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. I am actively transitioning to their continuing care program and look forward to seeing how far I can go with such a strong team behind me. 97 days!!!
