I came here in 2018 when I was at rock bottom and finally ready for a change and today I can say that it was life changing for me. I've been clean ever since and have rebuilt a happy life down in Florida near the beach. I don't remember names but my counselor was amazing, and there was another really pretty lady in heels who was a Capricorn that was amazing as well. Anyways thank you guys for facilitating one of the most pivotal moments in my life. Will be forever grateful.

Walden has employees who are very dedicated & compassionate where adults in their care are concerned. Thru covid nightmares making a huge hindrance in allowing group meetings for some time, dedicated staff realized the importance of interaction with others who have walked the same nightmare. National shortage of trained help I am sure impacts their jobs, but I sincerely feel Walden's employees work there for the right reason..often saving a person's life. Their satisfaction at times when in the future seeing one of the 'flock' leading a normal, happy life when they run into them in public tells me they are there to make a viable difference. Thanks to all of Walden's angels in disguise for this!

Let's face it every program isn't gonna be 🌈 and ✨ we are there to get clean. Thts the primary purpose. So for me to complain about the food is ridiculous cuz I barely ate b4 I even went in there. And definitely disagree about them leaving u alone while you are in detox they do an assessment every 4 hrs. I couldn't get them to leave me alone all I wanted to do was sleep. But shout out to the nursing staff ⚕️ I loved all of you. My warmest hugs 🤗 to Kimmy Ms. Deb Jennifer Emma Ms. Lisa oh my my my I can't forget Toby and Kim y'all do a heck of a job cleaning us up. Renika do her thing with those dessert 🎂 and Ted those French toast, idk wht u do but keep on doing it and NeNe girl keep putting tht soul in it. Lol 🤣 I miss y'all already. In a nutshell the program gonna be what you put into it. You can have fun while getting clean or be miserable 😖 and still get clean. The choice is yours but it's not my place to blame it on a facility when I need to look at the behaviors I still carried with me. Thanks for having me. Ms. CeCe I'll be back for your I mean MY clothes 😂🥰 Oh yea by far my favorite counselor award goes to Nicole but Sheron u definitely pulled a lot out of me so u lost points for making me feel to much and crying lol. And Troy hands down best House Keeper. And u saw me day one a hot mess and never judged appreciated that. I could go on and on about things I didn't like but today it's about change and everything I didn't like was exactly what I needed to learn and grow in my recover. My experience there was nothing short of life-changing. The staff and clinicians gave me the tools I needed to come back home and face my problems head-on. I learned how to communicate better in my relationships and handle challenges in a healthy way. The environment was supportive, understanding, and full of people who genuinely care about your well-being.

I had a very profound experience while being treated at Alpas. Anamae (Therapist), Devin (Case manager), Brandon (BHT) and Latrice (Nursing) were extremely helpful. Overall everyone on the staff is kind, the food delicious and the accommodations are very comfortable. The gym was an added bonus too.

Truly a life changing experience. Adored my counselor Diamond and the one I worked with later on. Amazing food. The techs really cared as well, one would check on me more often throughout the night because she knew about my paranoia. The talent shows were so fun and the groups are immersive and talkative, not just a lecture. Fantastic experience.

I’ve moved from PG county to Charles recently and let me just say, this is a step up. The only downside would be the lady sitting in the booth that’s in the middle of the lobby. I was literally standing there waiting for her to look up from the computer screen (she never did) until I noticed the sign of where I had to go.
The receptionist for WIC was another story. Very friendly and attentive.

Went here as an adolescent and I'm glad to see it's still there and that mark and his adventure therapy is still a thing. I still remember the course. Thank you for helping me. Though I did sadly relapse a few years later. But I'm clean now and I have over ten years under my belt. Went in to the ER for a bit of a scare with my pregnancy. Dr. Rachel who saw me is an amazing professional who has impeccable bedside manner and gentleness. I was in and out within 2.5 hours after they figured out the source of the problem, likely due to it being midday. Even so, everyone we came across was helpful and kind. This is what patients will remember forever so please keep it up!

I visited Arundel Lodge’s mental health Urgent Care during a mental health/domestic violence crisis where I was unhoused and very unwell. I had been discharged prematurely and without proper treatment by the AAMC ED twice, BWMC ED twice, and Harbor Hospital ED once, even with a ongoing case file from police and Crisis Response, as well as a petition for treatment by an Officer. I was exhausted, sick, diagnosed with ketoacidosis from lack of nutrition and just wanted genuine clinical answers/help and not discrimination. The lovely receptionist immediately treated me with kindness and sympathy when I walked in with my bags, taking them and I back to a room immediately. Dr. Julie Seaman was able to evaluate and prescribe medication for my situation, and for the first time in years, I feel as though I have been prescribed the proper medication regimen for my Bipolar 1. With this care and reassurance, I was able to gather myself and regain control of the situation. Thank you for all you do here at Arundel Lodge. Kindness and compassion goes a long, long way!

I’ve had nothing but a great experience they actually care. Tiffany and Megan the receptionists are the sweetest and have even offered for me to call and just talk, after hours. I love them. Dr. Seamen is a saint and deserves more than she’s recognized for. I’ve been treated with nothing but love and care and it’s super refreshing, Dr. S even referred me to a psychiatrist, Dr. Mary Beth and I’m sure it’ll be as good treatment as ever. It feels amazing longingly be heard/treated and not just pushed medicine.

I just want to share how grateful I am for my experience at Ryan Rehabilitation. Sebastian has been incredibly helpful from the very beginning — patient, supportive, and always willing to answer questions. The whole staff has been kind and understanding, and they’ve truly helped make this process so much less stressful. You can tell they genuinely care and understand that we’re already going through something difficult, and they never add to the pressure. Instead, they do everything they can to support us.
I also want to highlight Mr. Calvin. He is amazing — such a kind, patient man who creates a safe space for everyone while still encouraging us to grow, learn, and move forward. His guidance and compassion mean a lot during a challenging time.

If u guys want the help they will help you. But they are not going to chase after you to give you the help! You have to show that you’re willing to fix your addiction or you’re just basically using this place for housing. I been to this rehab twice and thank god I got the help I needed on my second trip. So stop giving this place a 1star review because your family member got kick out! Do you even understand how hard it is to get kick out of that place? People are rating this facility like they paid out of pocket. Stop disrespecting a good thing!

Edit: I see a lot of negative comments about staff attitudes and I just want to mention that people misconstrued things. What might seem like an attitude is somebody who is not going to deal with being manipulated, etc. Addiction turns us into selfish beings and the staff is aware of that. Kyra for example, may seem rough but she deeply cares for the clients and for their sobriety. I know that she will put you in your place, and sometimes that is appropriate. Please remember, you will not recover if you keep the same mindset you had when you walked in.
I've been here several times unfortunately, but everytime I come back, the medical team, staff, security- EVERYBODY welcomes me back without judgement.
The people who work here are very special people. Ms Kyra, the head- tech is an amazing woman who constantly stands as an influence to women like me on what recovery can look like. Ms Lyn, though she WILL be on you like white on rice if you're messing around, she's still always there to listen and give you advice. Jamal, head of security, is patient and so are the other security guards- which is great because for a lot of people,(including me), we come in there with various levels of mental health issues and sometimes have bad days and lash out.
This facility is ran by people who have been in recovery for years and know first hand how hard it is- especially after relapsing. The counselors are also well equipped with experience and knowledge, the groups are interesting, they allow you to smoke(!) and there's always resources for after care!
I love Avery Road, I think it has its issues but the staff, counselors, security, etc make this place a wonderful and safe place to land after hitting rock bottom. I suggest this place to anybody struggling- you will not be disappointed. Remember- it only works if you work it ❤️
One thing I will admit too, is that sometimes nursing will make mistakes with meds. I have had this happen to me and it is very frustrating. That is the only real issue I have with Avery Road. They have a ton of clients and often only one or two nurses handing out meds. That is a hard job for anybody to keep track of, so I get it. But besides that, I love Avery Road.

On October 11, 2012, I made a vow to never, ever put another drop of alcohol into my mouth. I had, after 22 years of daily hard liquor intoxication, drunk myself into psychosis. I put myself in rehab the next day, and, eight days later, I was awarded a bed in Avery's 28-day in-house program. I had been 100% intoxicant-free for eight days. A Police Officer told me to pause outside the ARTC's entrance, and lay it all down, leave it outside on the sidewalk, go inside, and do exactly what the staff told me to do, and I would be all right. It was such a relief to obey someone for once, instead of fighting, and falsely and stubbornly thinking I knew what was best for myself. I did every worksheet, listened to every word in the excellent classes and did the things that they told me to do. I graduated after 28 days, knowing what I had to do to stay sober. I would never have known how to stay sober after leaving ARTC had the Counselors and Doctors not had taught me about how to live as a sober person, how to deal with cravings and urges to drink, etc. The people at Avery, from door to door, every person who worked there, were in the business of saving lives.
Today, I have been 100% intoxicant-free for twelve years. I have paid off every penny of the debt I incurred during the last two years of the active phase of my alcoholism, and the first year of my sobriety, including my Maryland and Federal Taxes, without begging, borrowing, stealing, or doing anything unethical or illegal. I have gotten back everything I lost: family, health, integrity, self-respect, the loyalty of friends and customers. I am the Sole Proprietor of my own IRS-registered Small Business, and I pay taxes on my income. I am debt-free. I never thought it would be possible, but striving to "do the next RIGHT THING", as my Sponsor used to say, has empowered me to climb out of that hole into which I had drunk myself.
I am FIERCELY SOBER. I owe it all to my Higher Power, and the smart, no nonsense staff at Avery.
I am so very grateful, because for me, quitting alcohol was a life-or-death matter. On the last day of my last binge, the Police made me look into a mirror. My lips and nailbeds were dark grey/blue. They kept me alive by keeping me awake.

I came to Annandale Comprehensive Treatment from another clinic and my transfer was smooth sailing. I have currently been at this location for 6 months. My experience has been great. All of the staff are extremely kind and welcoming. I was amazed to find out the clinic was owned by the same company I had just left, (bc of a move) and in the process of changing over. I can imagine that the transition could be extremely stressful. My experience was the transition has been a fairly seamless one. I think the new company is doing great and everyone has worked together to make a great MAT facility. This clinic has only improved since I've been here. Although it's a very small clinic there is never a wait, I am in and out quickly. My counselor is wondeful and does not have the "treatment burnout," that often happens in MAT settings. All of the counselors are extremely helpful. If you follow the simple rules, this clinic will work for you. I must mention before closing that the front desk ladies are the best!! They decorate the office according to the seasons. It is so welcoming and absolutely the cutest! The fact that they care about a welcoming environment is huge. It's the difference from feeling like you are being punished for making the choices that got you there and people actually caring about your well-being and not treating you like a criminal. Having someone smile and ask you how you are doing is absolutely wonderful. Thanks to everyone that makes this place work. If you are considering going to Annandale Comprehensive treatment, go. If you are serious about getting clean, you will have great people behind you, supporting you and helping as much as possible.
