you have to to know what you’re getting into in order to get the most out of this program. It’s long, but I knew that going in and it was something I was personally ready for after years of struggling with addiction. Residence sucked and a lot of the rules and regulations were pretty stupid and petty. Group punishment was a big thing and that didn't really help simulate the "real world". But overall the experience even with the rules held me accountable and kept me sober long enough that I actually wanted to stay sober. Also the emphasis on growing a network really helped.

I washed upon the shore of Maryland Addiction Recovery Center with my life in utter shambles. Having gone to a dozen treatment centers in three years, hopeless and entirely broken would be a sufficient summary, but that would be an understatement. Addiction is not something I foresaw for my otherwise promising life on paper, but it reared its hideous head throughout my early 20s. The prospect of a career, college education, reunited family, sense of community, or merely happy and sober existence felt dead and gone.
As a last-ditch effort, my family and I decided a Long-Term Care facility might give me a shot at the life I always envisioned for myself. While I wasn't sold on the idea, I begrudgingly agreed to make the 250 mile drive to Maryland to embark on the unknown, terrified and uncertain. I remember thinking to myself: "If this doesn't work, I don't know what will".
Without delving into miles of details, this coming February I will celebrate 5 years sober, and I can confidently say that without the dedicated staff, patient-specific care, community-living arrangement, structured environment, vocational program, tough love, and rigorous personal accountability instilled at MARC, I do not know where I would be, or if I would be alive.

This is one of my best experiences in my life honestly I can hear was welcome by everyone like a family we got so close everyone is like family. I was able to change my mindset On a lot of things I more vocally available I feel safe the staff is great my mental is as great as it was when I was obliviously to how hard life could get they make it so comfortable for you to open up because everyone does and no judgement just suggestions and ideas to help change you prospective on every I appreciate this and will never revert to my ways unless I just miss this place too much when I make it lol some nah all jokes aside this is one of the best places I’ve been and it’s for one of the worst reason but once you get here and through that first night you’ll love it

The DBT program within The Resource Group was life changing for me. I learned and practiced skills surrounding emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective interpersonal communication.
If you or a loved one struggle with trauma responses or ineffective emotional regulation skills I would highly recommend this program. I felt supported throughout the entire program, and I made a large progression from the first week. Kat & Ian, my personal group leaders, are extremely supportive and passionate about helping others live their best lives.
Doctors and assistants were super helpful and thorough, wait times were minimal with no real complications. Take advantage of this service on campus!

If you're a student who is going through a rough time or know you have something going on neuro.tically….. (? haha) and haven't gotten in contact with anyone in the area yet, I definitely recommend going here.
I had Sheila Graham for my appointment, she was amazing. The building was beautiful and serene, every employee I came in contact with was supportive, non-judgmental, super friendly. There are some people who work a job to sustain themselves and some people who work a job because that's what they were created to do and the people here in my experience all fell into the latter category. Really great experience.
From the initial phone call all the way to right now, everyone has been polite, helpful.

This place is always clean and smells fresh when I come by. The hallways look nice, and you can tell the staff works hard to keep it that way.
The administrator is easy to talk to, professional, and really seems to care about the residents. The front desk staff are friendly and make you feel welcome right away.
I’m really glad my loved one is here and being cared for by such a good team.

I stayed here for a month and it was a great experience. the staff was extremely helpful and caring. I never felt more tended to. The food was ok it was more the environment that helped relax me. They had the whole place being cleaned and it made me feel comfortable. The therapists were very encouraging and I feel like I couldn't have gotten to this place in my life without them. I appreciate everything that was done for me and how I was treated
I came to maryland recovery after completing a stay at another rehab i was here back in 2022 during the time i was here my father was dieing of cancer and they allowed me to leave more then once to go see him in the hospital and then in hospice the director of the program chris and the clinical staff along with my counselor really showed empathy and support and was there for me during this difficult time in my life my father ended up passing away the day I left MRP ill have 3 years sobriety on October 27th Maryland recovery really built a strong foundation for me and early recovery i would highly recommend this program to all

I've been in 7 short n long term programs in Baltimore City with my wife Amanda. She passed away September 17th 2024 at 33yrs old. I was not just lost, broken hopeless n suicidal but much worse because the love of my life was gone forever. I thought I'd accepted it was the end for me n that there was no God. Being at my worst i found Amanda was still guiding me even when I didn't know it. Today I can say she helped me find MRP n put some of the best people in my life. I am so very grateful for Maryland recovery n the amazing clinical staff Alex,Kim,Doug, Brittany, Crystal, April,Laura, Carrie, Jessica and Stephanie. They not just did their jobs to the highest standard as well as showed me dignity and respect while doing it. They all gave me what I wanted n needed to want to live life again, setting me up for success, giving me a solid foundation like I never had before.
The PSA's Matt, Hayden ,Big Drew, Jeff,Paul, both Lisa's and Nikki literally made me feel like I was not just a person but part of a big "recovery"family that truly cared about me , my needs and wants. They all took the time to get to know me, guide me and shared very helpful personal stories about themselves or someone they knew that has or was going through something like i was. I didn't feel different or alone anymore but part of something bigger. I can honestly say i see things in all of them that id like to see in myself one day as i continue to grow and move forward in life. I see them all as my friends and leaders in recovery and life. Ive done more in the last 30days at MRP than ive done in the last 10 yrs of my life. THANK YOU for helping save my life. If you're struggling with addiction and mental health issues, MRP is the best place to go to for a recovery and set you up for continued success.Just be willing and i swear everything else will fall into place!!!.

Great place, great staff, loving environment this place helped me in so many ways I can’t explain it. If you or anyone you know is struggling with substance abuse I strongly recommend going to this facility.
Program is better than what people tell you. You don’t realize how could you have it until you transfer to a different program. If you looking to get clean and get your life in order and become the best version of yourself. this is the place for you. Staff are down to earth and the counselors are very helpful and the program director is a reflection of the men in treatment. He been where we are at in life and fought like hell to become a better man. But don’t with him because he will call you on your shit. Only problem I have is the food. It’s not the greatest but it’s edible lol you’ll be fine

My name is Reginald Howard I have to say that Gaudenzia help save my life. Understand at the time I was admitted I wasn't in the best space when it came to mind set. I was newly released from jail and I knew in my mind that I had to do something different and I had been court ordered to at least attend a treatment facility. I called and was greeted by a lady that I like to refer as Miss Also Brooks she skillfully navigated me through the process of admission. Additionally I met the staff began the process and was able to work with them as they began supporting me through the recovery process. After observing them I realize that they were sincere about the recovery process and I began to draw from that experience all that I could so my life could be better. Additionally their zeal for life became contagious and my desire to help others was reawaken so I took some advice especially from my counselor who had recognize that I could assist others going through the same ordeal as I. After having a conversation with Mr Guy I was put on a path to further my education and began seeking opportunities in the field. I thank Gaudenzia for opening their doors and helping me help myself.

Let me start with Ms. Ashley who has talked with me and encouraged me through this whole process, She's sweet, kind and has a listening ear for the people. My bf dedicates his life to helping others and pushing those needing to get treatment through Hopes. John is passionate about recovery and his heart is definitely in the right place. Addiction is an epidemic in this country and taking our loved ones daily. Myself losing 2 of my ex's to overdose. I personally have never used. Hopes is most definitely on the correct path to changing lives and the outcome of overcoming addiction.

I like their staff!! My experience with chase brexton was great! I was given a referral for my provider(my provider kept changing) and when their refer me to dr Riley. She was the best doctor and provider i have. And I've been going here for more than a year and also, the facility has multiple location so you can choose what's close to you.

My experience from day one, has been extremely positive. I have had support presently and in the past. All the Staff are very positive, supporting and fight for you, when you might need a little more extra help, due to some mental issues or physical, or emotional. They are there for you 100% . I want to mention My Counselor, Ms. D. Herrera... She is the Best, Most, Supportive, Positive, Strong and Caring Counselor-(Drug).... I have ever had. Dana Rader was my provider when I visited Chase Brexton, Mt.Vernon Center. She was very keen to listen to me. She offered advice and made me feel like all my concerns were addressed during the visit. Services offered were just the way I expected and beyond. Would definitely recommend her.

Serenity Health is a great place. The counselors here are friendly and supportive. If you are looking for help you may want to come here, they have a pretty functional program. They have given me new hope.

CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.
As someone who goes to this place every week, I am happy to say that everyone that is in this organization is so kind and caring; they make me feel welcomed, and they do their best to help me if I am in need.
