This place has been a magical, healing, life changing experience. I have struggled with addiction to serious drugs for over 20 years. I also struggle with mental health. I have been to 11 different treatment facilities. Some of them really good. This place blew them all out of the water. The setting is phenomenal. It’s located on 70+ acres of the most beautiful mountain setting that Mass has to offer. The sunrises are breathtaking. It’s like an enchanted forest. The bunnies and chipmunks and baby dear are adorable and amazing. I stayed in the ‘poets’, these amazing, spacious log cabins with cathedral ceilings. When I walked in the first time I cried in gratitude. The beds are comfy, you have plenty of privacy, and it’s a space I would stay at on vacation. The food is top notch. I don’t think I was served a single bad meal. The head cook, Matt, is so accommodating. It feels like home. You always have the option of a delicious salad bar, leftovers are available until 11 at night. I couldn’t asked to be better taken care of. Most of the RS staff are in recovery which is amazing. They are the most devoted caring staff I have ever had the privilege of knowing. And you do get to know them, their personal struggles and victories, they give you hope that this is possible. They were inspirational. Thank you to all of you: Chris, Justin, Lisa, Owen, Jess, Andrew, Steve, Brandon, Tim, Courtney, Moe, Ryan, Pete, Greg, Alina, Mark, Jamie. I hope I didn’t forget anyone. And of course I can’t forget the RS supervisor, John, who does an amazing job managing an amazing staff. You guys never ignored me, constantly asked how I was doing, and knew me well enough to know when I was down. I didn’t have a single request that wasn’t immediately dealt with in a kind way. Down to wanting printouts of watercolor painting ideas. I got ridiculous. Thank you. The classes were also amazing. We had groups six hours a day including women’s groups and process groups. I really thought that as much treatment as I have received that there was nothing left to learn. This place disabused me of that notion. Sarah’s groups were always fun and informative, plus she’s the best Clinician I’ve ever had. Thank you! Marcus, the family counselor, was like an injection of hope. He also does amazing family sessions. The man is a miracle worker. All of the case managers and clinicians are amazing. My case manager, Kelley, along with Sarah, helped me to set up aftercare that included IOP, a recovery coach, primary care appointments, MAT and psychiatry appointments, they helped my come up with a relapse prevention plan, deleted and block all dangerous contacts on my phone, disable my Facebook account, etc etc. I have never felt so prepared to go back to the real world. The executive director, Colleen, knows every patient by name, knows what your going through, and interacts with everyone on a regular basis. The nursing staff is also top notch. Headed by Kayla, they do a tremendous job. My favorite nurse was Scott but every one of them was endlessly available and truly stupendous. My needs were met in a timely and empathetic way. I was made to be comfortable and I’m so grateful. Then the clients, I don’t know what it is but the quality of client was truly wonderful. Everyone looked out for eachother, everyone was determined to grow and learn as much as possible. We had so much fun playing games, doing karaoke, riding horses, playing corn home and ping pong, hanging out at the fire making s’mores. It was truly like adult summer camp that saved my life and gave me the tools I needed to go out into the world and thrive. I cannot say enough about this place and it’s wonderful people it’s wonderful setting. I am forever grateful in a way I cannot express here.

Some of The counselors there are EXCEPTIONAL. Rob, Mike, and Peter really made a HUGE impact on my recovery. They are true believers in their groups. Sharing their personal coping skills relating to their sobriety which was detrimental in finding my own. True inspirations on how to be sober and stay sober. Great groups and authenticity to their work. They shared from their heart. They kept each and everyone involved and inspired.
Some of the nursing staff were very attentive and helpful as well. Kim, Joe, sue, and Ben were ones that stood out to the most. Kim was caring and truly cared about each patients needs and feelings.
The RSS’s were great as well. Calee, joann, Leslay, and Niana were all great to deal with. Calee went above and beyond for everyone in my unit. She would put the patient first before anything else which was very thoughtful of her in a situation that is not easy for most.
I have been to RCA Danvers and I can say my experience at Westminster was much more therapeutic and beneficial to my recovery.

I appreciate the excellent care that was provided to my family member by the caring staff. The staff made my family member feel comfortable along with activities and the groups that were led and provided by multiple workers . Excellent establishment and also the care coordination that they assisted with in regards to follow up care and post d/c transition was exceptional. This facility should be noted for anyone who has a family struggling or patient seeking assistance with help. I have so many staff members that were so supportive to my family member. Especially whom was Peter Gregory whom per her report did groups and was the Best. Thanks again for making a realistic difference.

Paramount recovery centers has literally saved my life, when it came to recovery I was uncertain and afraid, but ever since the first day I set foot in this place I felt like part of a family and have been led through a powerful process of change! I was on the brink of losing everything due to my addiction, but with the love and care I have received here I've learned how to change my negative thought processes and keep my urges at a far distance! My time at Paramount has been amazing. Since day one I've been given the most amount of support I could ask for. Haley made my intake process smooth and stressless and she's always made herself available when ever I needed anything or just someone to talk to. My Case Manager Nia did all the heavy lifting with obtaining my EBT card and cash assistance. Everyone here made me feel safe, and understood without judgement. I truely feel I can stay sober with the tools I've been given here.

What a life changing experience! I have too many good things to say to list them all here. The buildings and the grounds are new and well maintained. The staff are all wonderful and go above and beyond for every client. I got to see first hand how hard everyone, frome the cleaning staff on up to the directors how hard they work for us and how much they care. The clinical staff are so knowledgeable and caring. I felt like everyone there was working on all my issues with such a drive and the highest level of competency. The recovery specialists do a food job of fostering a positive and safe group culture. I was especially impressed with Katie, who's commitment to the clients was demonstrated daily by her caring, upbeat, positive nature and willingness to go above and beyond for every client, all day, everyday. This is a wonderful detox and treatment center! They will get you sober and give you the tools and resources that you’ll need to stay sober. Kind, caring, knowledgeable people (Case Managers, Recovery Specialists, nurses, food service staff, cleaning staff), nice, clean facilities, good food! Couldn’t ask for more. The folks at NERC truly care about you and your recovery. Special shout-out to Case Managers Sara, Tara, Brittany, Grace and Diana, as well as Recovery Specialists Pam, Gretchen, Danny, Nikki, Nikyrah, Esmeralda, Lauren, and all others whom I haven’t mentioned by name. Rose is an amazing family therapist. There are a lot of great, caring folks working here who truly want to help you! They also offer free, confidential family support through their Magnolia program. I highly recommend New England Recovery Center for detox and Clinical Stabilization Service (CSS).

Unfortunately I have been here a few times, but they were always welcoming and compassionate about it. They have some really great staff. The food is decent for the most part, there is plenty of it. The groups were good over all. Obviously some were more relative than others. Overall I would recommend NERC to a friend or relative.

I came into this program as an older woman, scared and unsure of what to expect. This was my very first time in treatment, and after coming from an inpatient program where I honestly felt like I was treated more like an animal than a person, I didn’t know what I was walking into. From the first day, the staff and clients made me feel welcome and safe. I wasn’t seen as just a diagnosis here, I was seen as a human being. That meant everything to me. The groups were supportive, the staff truly cared, and I felt like my voice mattered. This program gave me hope and reminded me that healing is possible at any age. I attended this IOP for dual diagnosis, and I can’t say enough good things. All the staff were incredible, from the director to the techs. The groups and therapists were supportive and truly helpful. I was there during a time when they were short-staffed, and they never missed a beat always making sure clients’ needs were met. Came off 170 mgs of methadone without any major problems. I slept, ate, and was overall content. Nursing and tech staff made the stay what it should be. I’m not really a taker but sometimes a smile from a random staff would get me out of the funk. They reduced my methadone 10mg a day from 170 until 20mg. I thought I would feel awful at 20 but the only problem I had was high blood pressure and sweating. All symptoms I could deal with. It’s detox! You’re not going to like everything about it!

Especially methadone, in I feel 1000 times better without that crap in my body. I live in NJ, only one place would take my ins. The rest would only detox from methadone of a 30-40mg dose. Sunrise did not rush me and kept their word I wouldn’t receive surprise bills. They even didn’t bill me for things they should have. Shortly before I went there I was on a ventilator. I am Doing the work but this place helped get me across the line. If you complain here it’s your addiction talking. Has your addiction ever been correct with advice? Great place!

I have had an opiate dependence from the age of 18 after a severe accident i have struggled for 25 years i never have had such a pleasant experience with such a professional helpful staff that didnt judge me first time in 20 years there intake almost brought me ro tears i was so grateful completely different than any other dosing clinic and i have used them from mass to California even Tijuana i highly recommend this place and i am so grateful to have luckily picked this clinic in order to avoid everyone i know so i dont have any screw ups in my recovery nothing has ever worked or felt comfortable im amazed by ther professionalism amazing

I've been at Merrick Street for nearly a year, and my experince has been truly amazing. Spectrum staff members are caring, well-educated and passionate about helping each client on an individual basis. The level of care far exceeds that of other programs. I started my 'journey' at Sisters of Providence in Holyoke, and (apart from my clinician -- who was amazing!), it felt like conveyor-belt-style care. Now, that was a 2-hour round-trip commute every morning, but Information about Spectrum (20 minutes away) was hidden from me (despite my inquiries) for months because it was a separate organization and they likely didn't want to lose me as a paycheck -- I mean patient.
Spectrum is the total opposite. It has changed my life. I wasted years fearing a program, and the stigma attached. But I realized-- since I was already dealing with the stigma of having fibromyalgia and chronic pain, it made no difference, and I needed to try -- for me. Since entering, I have met so many incredible people, shared and heard many incredible stories, and in a way, I am proud to be part of something so positive.

They have many services and programs like intensive outpatient treatment, outpatient detoxification, dialectical behavioral therapy, Family Support Services, Parenting Groups, individual groups, family counseling, and dual diagnosis counseling. Just to name a few. Adcare Outpatient substance use treatment allows you to attend rehab programs while still attending to your daily responsibilities. They changed my life. The staff are caring and nonjudgemental. If you're struggling, give Adcare a try.

Spectrum Health Services' PAVE Program, an IPAEP/CBP for domestic violence abusers, is a phenomenal program that helps domestic violence abusers on how to cope and better manage with various techniques on how to deal with anger management issues, violent tendencies and how to have & build better relationships with their partners/victims and all those affected by domestic violence. I highly and fully recommend to all who have been a domestic violence abuser, past or present, to partake in this vital & crucial program. Mike & Faith administer the PAVE Program on a weekly basis. My group sessions are every Wednesday, from 430 to 630 pm for 40 weeks, start to finish. Channing House, which is a Halfway House now operated by Advocates, is probably the most successful men's substance abuse house in Worcester County and probably one of the 5 best or most successful programs in Massachusetts. It is a fully accredited 6 month substance abuse residential program. However, they let me stay for 8 1/2 months because the staff agreed with me that I wasn't ready yet. I've been to well over 25 halfway houses and at least 15 different sober houses...and Channing House is by far the best and most successful program in Worcester County.

Since I started going here about 4 years ago I got a great therapist named Justin Mertz. We hit it off on day one and had a great professional relationship up to his untimely death. I was assigned a new therapist named Lindsay Fox. Her and I hit it off great. Lindsay and I are working hard on my care just like I had with Justin. We do a 50/50 conversation.
