The place was well organized, seemed to be run well and plenty of patient supervision, from the point that my friend made it through the complete admission process, she was able to reach out to myself and her sister, and her mother, and then transition to the Hope house in Springfield. I strongly encourage anyone battling with addiction and / or dual diagnosis as well, to call Carlson for bed availability and go through the program. A lot has changed in this field over the past five years, but most notably over the past two years, and there is help and there is hope, if you know somebody who’s struggling out there, they are somebody’s daughter they are somebody’s son. They could also be somebody’s spouse and they could also be somebody’s parent as well, try to do what you can to help them as long as it’s within your cable tow. God bless. Their food is incredible and you can get seconds too which is helpful when you are starving and coming off alcohol. Every time I relapsed I went there because I knew they would give me another chance. You should go to groups but yes you can sleep if you’re tired. I remember the first time I went there. I was in serious alcohol withdrawal. I had the best sleep after being medicated. Their staff is great too. They saved my life. They wake you up for vitals early but you may need medication. They have punch in the tv room which I drank like no tomorrow. Snacks too. I’ve been there like 7 times and they always treat me great. I wish I could say my name but can’t. My first time there in December 2023 was ok, the staff was kind except for one tech from the adult unit... When I went back last December, I ended up staying for Christmas, and the staff did their best to make us happy with gifts, games, etc. I stayed for almost a month and started becoming myself again with help from my favourite tech and my favorite nurses. This was the first place that actually treated me like a human being while being in a psych facility. Most of the staff were still there from the first time and they had a better understanding with what was going on. I was so happy they remembered what had helped me last time.
