I completed 8 days at their outpatient program back in March. The psychiatrist, Doctor McFarren, was absolutely amazing and I wish I could bring her into the outside world with me. She listened to how I was feeling and didn’t resort to putting me on some hard core addictive pill right away. The program was nice as well, they had different classes you could choose from so if something didn’t apply to you, you didn’t have to attend. They also had activity classes which were really nice. Group therapy was great and it was nice to be with other people who understood what you were going through. Micah (my group leader), was absolutely amazing. I’m so thankful for them and how comfortable they made group. The only complaint I have which I put on my outtake form was that the group leader Rachel, really should not be leading classes. She might do better with 1-1 or something like that but every class I had that she led, she was not interactive and acted like it was an inconvenience to be there. I even tried to walk out of one of the classes once I realized she was the instructor. One day when Micah was out, Rachel filled our class and we had multiple new people in group and multiple of them said that they were not coming back the next day. A couple girls and I talked to them and explained Rachel was not our normal counselor and Micah was great so they should come back the next day. Thankfully they did, but when I mentioned how much I was struggling with Rachel, over half of my group agreed and said they didn’t not want to take any of her classes and that they wished they knew who the instructor was before we signed up. Maybe for the future- adding the instructors names to the list would be helpful so we can choose accordingly :) Derrick at the front desk was absolutely amazing as well!! And so is Ethan!! So thankful for most of the team there that made a difficult time in my life, seem not so difficult. I made life time friends from this program and I will forever be thankful for that.

Minimally helpful (mostly harmful) and they seem to have a stereotypical agency culture of "us against them" and become punishing and bitter if you struggle with treatment. It was impossible to have a collaborative relationship and my mental health improved tremendously after relying on myself and other resources for treatment instead. Things were great until I needed actual therapy and it's hard to recommend therapists that are less helpful than going it alone. Turned me off to therapy for good. I would have chosen self-help books instead of spending a second here if I knew what I know now.

My experience at Skywood inpatient Treatment center in Augusta mi Was wonderful. They have a great program. I took so much out of there in the 30 days I was there. I would like to give a shout out to my PCC Sabrina she was amazing. Also all of the RA’S at Skywood are very friendly and helpful, but there is one especially that made my stay so much more comfortable her name is Mikala. She was amazing always had a smile on her face and said things to make me feel good. I think we all need that when we are in treatment because we are all going through some depression and anxiety. She knew how to make me feel good about myself. I would recommend Skywood to anyone needing help with any type of addiction. 😊

My experience met my expectations and being 5. I've been using the partial antagonist medicine for a few years and had great success until my doctors started making it difficult for ne to constantly stay in them and stabilize. That and when you administer the pairtial antagonist you have yo go into the office to see them. This is always a smaller satellite location that you visit with people everywhere and most of them if not all of them aren't anywhere near as sick or hurting like an addict in withdraw. The point to that was you have to see your doctor in person and in full blown withdrawals state when you see the docs. Then they have to determine if your ready for that medicine and make sure that you're such enough to start the meds because of you administer it too soon ot will make the person even more sick!! It's very very difficult to start that med and can be dangerous and discouraging to many people. I was one of them for a while. The staff was amazing and made everything feel very clean, calm, and controlled environment. The structure and attention they give every person makes it a place that not only feels safe but, it's safe. The ladies at the desk are amazing and can confidently say the same for all the staff! I've never been in a place of recovery like this before. You can feel the tenderness and compassion in the atmosphere that naturally provides judgement free area you can feel

I have been in the child and adolescent unit 3 times now. The two most recent times nurses have tried to get a blood sample against my will MANY times, and when I asked why they needed it, they avoided the question. The reason why I refused was due to the fact I am very sensitive to most pain and I cannot handle needles. A nurse even said she'd forcibly restrain me if I didn't consent to having my blood drawn. The only reason Im giving this 2 stars is because of the good memories I have made with other patients and a tech by the name of Rigo.

A great program with great people i never felt like i was being judged or looked down at all in fact i was surprised by how friendly and kind everyone was and they not only made me feel like they care they proved they do when my partner had a medical issue and the staff handled it compassionately. My counselor is really chill and easy to talk to but also has the depths of knowledge to be able to have really substantive conversations basically a respectable amount of street smarts and book smarts and ability to know when to use which. I leave every appointment feeling really encouraged and hopeful. If anyone is thinking about trying maintenance therapy thia is the place to go you can actually find some hope here

I had 33 broken bones and was told I'd never walk again and that pain meds were going to be something to take daily forever. I haven't taken a pain pill or 15 at a time in the 6 years I have been here. The staff for the most part is great and I never feel looked down upon. The therapist my daughter saw at the Portage location was wonderful. Billing was always an issue - they would say we owed money, so we would pay it, then they could contact us and process a refund because we "overpaid". Otherwise, we were very pleased. However I have been trying to reach them for a week now. Website says they are available 24/7 - however I have called EVERY number on their website repeatedly, as well as the number the "owner" provided in these comments, and there is never an answer or option to leave a message. I also submitted an appointment request form through their website and have not received a response. Not sure what is going on here. UPDATE: apparently this is a cell phone issue - NOT pine rest. Despite using my phone daily and having no issues making calls, for whatever reason, I had to put my cell phone on then off airplane mode and suddenly I was able to make calls to them. Updated my review to correct for this.

I was not a patient here but my father in law who has dementia was for about a month. I would not take my dog to this place. We were in the process of getting guardianship of him and looking for a nursing home. We couldn’t place him in the nursing home until we had guardianship of him and also had trouble due to Covid. As soon as the insurance stopped they were literally going to wheel him to the lobby and told us we had to pick him up. The doctor had the nerve to tell us to step up and take him in our home. We were not equipped to deal with him. He was violent at times. We had to hire an attorney and get Parent protective Services involved in order to get them to back off. The things that would come out of the doctor and nurses mouths were NOT professional at all. If you love your loved one please find help anywhere but here.
