I can think back to when I first walked into the building to receive my intake evaluation, I was visibly upset. My father came with me to offer support. I would be enrolling into their opiate treatment program, I had been struggling with this disease for the last ten years starting when I was 18. Kristy one of the office administrator's, was the person who gave me my intake evaluation. I was treated with complete respect during the entire process, I can remember how patient she was with my father who was truly more upset then I was... Because the years of stress my disease has caused on my entire family. I was then assigned to my counselor, Jim. I wouldn't be doing him justice by trying to explain in a few simple sentences how he has impacted my sobriety this last year. I went from actively using while be enrolled into the program to a person who now today, attends AA, NA meetings regularly. I have service work commitments in the community, I volunteer and maple grove, and other facilities trying to reach out to other struggling addicts. And Jim was instrumental in helping shape this change in my life and I truly Can't express that enough. I did a lot of heavy lifting to help my own self but Jim was there as my spotter and I am happy that I was able to gain the relationship that I have with Jim and many others at RCI. I also attending group, peer counseling with both Dave and lonie. Again both of these people are involved in this field of work to help others and bring about a positive change, which was accomplished in me. I must mention two other names, Po and John, Po also works at the front desk and it was just always nice to walk into the building and be greeted with a smile and a sincere welcome ! John is another counselor who I didn't work with to many times, although I did attend a few groups that he ran and again I thought he insight was awesome and inspiring. So if you are in my same shoes and about to begin this process just trust in God and let the program guide you toward success. God can move mountains but you need to bring a shovel. Joey D 10 years ago Excellent outpatient treatment Center. The ladies at the front desk are extremely helpful. There's a treatment team of Therapist at RCI Whom have been assisting me with change. I struggling with addiction issues and was able to identify areas where my thinking needed to change. I found the group therapy session very educational and informational. The treatment team help me with growth and to become accountable and responsible for my choices . My therapists even talk to my probation officer and kept me out of jail. I highly recommend RCI for your outpatient needs. I have stop smoking marijuana and taking Xanax for over a year thanks to the assistance of RCI. I have moved out of my mommy's house and now live independently as a man and I contribute that to RCI. RCI even made recommendations so that I can get my medical and psychiatric needs Met. This is the place you want to be, if you want to recover. It's clean, classes are phenomenal, nurses, doctors, therapists, milieu techs, med techs, environmental services, everyone is great. Aftercare here is also wonderful. Update: they are wonderful until you need them again. I called yesterday, they were suppose to call back. I haven't been there for 3yrs. I needed help. Today no response. Tried calling back, no response. I had been seeing a therapist after she quit there. She only had terrible things to say about the place that they weren't up to updated treatments. I just want to get better and I would hope they could help. I guess I'm wrong. Renee 3 months ago 4/5 stars, but here's why. I was not an attendee, simply a support person for a friend who decided to cut his stay short, but here is what I can say from being a person limited on the outside. 1.) The amount of ability they give to allow for the family member to contact their loved ones is great! I was astounded by the high allowances of connection they give to those who are admitted. It's a huge plus, which is shocking but greatly appreciated. 2.) Every person there was kind but committed. I got the vibe that they were there to do a job, and do it well, but without being rude. I could tell there was compassion here for the people they take in. 3.) They have rules that are relatively strict, as is true of most rehab facilities. 4.) They were clean, and offered as many amenities as they could given that insurance covers those who stay there. It does feel hospital-ey, but it is owned by a hospital, so no real major un-expectations there. MY ONLY COMPLAINT: the heat and A/C in the building seems to be lacking. It seems the facility is well worn, and could use a re-up. It gets hot in there in the summertime, and I can imagine it would be difficult for me to sleep there. I came in during a crisis, and I left feeling stable, hopeful, and genuinely happy. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with open arms—there’s no judgment, just compassion, warmth, and professionalism. I was part of the face-to-face program at 28 years old, and everything exceeded my expectations. The group therapy sessions were incredibly powerful and gave me tools I didn’t even realize I was missing. My group leader, Kailee, was with me for the majority of the program and is genuinely one of the most bubbly, kindhearted, and knowledgeable souls I’ve ever met. She created a space that was safe, supportive, and uplifting every single day. Niki, my therapist, is truly amazing—so insightful, attentive, and caring. Dominique, the nurse, is an absolute gem—compassionate, patient, and always there when you need her. And Matt, the psychologist, didn’t waste any time helping me find the right medication and support. He took my concerns seriously and acted quickly, which made a world of difference. The staff here truly care. It doesn’t feel like “treatment”—it feels like a community of people who love what they do and want to help you grow and heal. The food was great every day, the atmosphere was calming and structured, and they even gave us breaks for fresh air, which made a huge difference for my mental health. This place gave me a full toolbox to take with me, and for the first time in a long time, I feel ready. But here’s the truth: you get out what you put in. If you show up, participate, and commit to the process, you will see change. This team will support you every step of the way, but you have to meet them there. I was put on the right medication but gained a few pounds. I went through the program being on three different crews. The work therapy program is top notch. In August of 2022 I decided to go off my medication completely. I lost weight but was very manic and went to the Hurley hospital psych ward then back to Rose Hill for a 'tune up'. The Rose Hill psychiatrist got me back on medication and I'm very successful today in the community. I currently have one job that I've held for almost ten years at Genesys Health Club. Unlike the typical, more “hospital like” residential, Rose Hill encourages independence and helping you build skills to use in the real world. My time at Rose Hill, as a resident, has changed my life. I would say the biggest pros are: You get to keep your phone, they don’t stop you from vaping/smoking nicotine, you can have your car there under certain circumstances, you can go out on “day passes” into the community, there are many outings on a weekly basis, you get to go grocery shopping on a weekly basis as well, and you get your own, decently spacious room. I tried riding to and from the gym/ physical therapy building where the business offices and printing press for the magazine journal. It was too hard going up hill but a breeze coming back down to the bridge . Then I had to get off and push it up to the treatment center for women. I really enjoyed my time at this place. However all good times have to end and mine ended . My own experience at Easterseals has only been since early June 2025, but I must express that they do have some wonderful staff here and they've been mostly pleasant and quite helpful in addressing my needs and concerns. My caseworker's been very positive and actually quite responsive when it comes to communication, which truly makes all the difference for me, personally. I feel she genuinely cares. My psychiatrist and therapist also have been great in similar ways. I can't say enough good things about these amazing women! Sure, front end staff seem off or a bit grumpy or just burned out sometimes, but, honestly I can't blame them - I wouldn't be able to deal with the job well myself! It'd annoy the hell out of me dealing with so many people all day. We all get tired of work at times, we're all only human ya know. (I only mentioned this because of the negatory comments I read regarding the initial staff). Lastly, their transportation guys are also awesome! I think what it all comes down to is your own personal attitude, tolerance, and the ability to have compassion and understanding from other perspectives in these type of places when it comes to staff interactions and services in general. I use the Genoa pharmacy there as well, and they've always been great. You get what you give in life or what you put into things folks. It's also good to remember we can't truly control anything outside of ourselves, only what's within us. But, I digress - to each their own. I see some do not share the same experiences we have with Easterseals, but I’ve been in and out with my girls over the years, and between the staff, docs, and therapists, they have all done an amazing job, considering what they too, have to deal with day in and day out. At times my girls had to change therapists in the middle of treatment, but they did an alright job matching them with someone similar. And if they are ready and willing to change, and it’s explained that stuff like this happens, we got through it. It’s hard to keep constant staff on hand all the time, so I understood.
