My experience met my expectations and being 5. I've been using the partial antagonist medicine for a few years and had great success until my doctors started making it difficult for ne to constantly stay in them and stabilize. That and when you administer the pairtial antagonist you have yo go into the office to see them. This is always a smaller satellite location that you visit with people everywhere and most of them if not all of them aren't anywhere near as sick or hurting like an addict in withdraw. The point to that was you have to see your doctor in person and in full blown withdrawals state when you see the docs. Then they have to determine if your ready for that medicine and make sure that you're such enough to start the meds because of you administer it too soon ot will make the person even more sick!! It's very very difficult to start that med and can be dangerous and discouraging to many people. I was one of them for a while. The staff was amazing and made everything feel very clean, calm, and controlled environment. The structure and attention they give every person makes it a place that not only feels safe but, it's safe. The ladies at the desk are amazing and can confidently say the same for all the staff! I've never been in a place of recovery like this before. You can feel the tenderness and compassion in the atmosphere that naturally provides judgement free area you can feel

The other area clinics do not compare to WMCTC. It's nice and clean like a Dr's office. They do nice things for holidays and always do what's in the patients best interest!

The center is housed in a historic home, giving it a much cozier feel than traditional counseling locations. They offer a comprehensive range of mental health services. The facility is always super clean, contributing to a serene and peaceful environment. Instead of the usual waiting room, you usually go straight to your therapist. This setup makes it easier to feel comfortable, a significant plus when doing therapy. This center is a refreshing change from the more clinical, medical facility-like counseling locations.

Outstanding Service. I had a very personal but yet professional experience with the gentleman whom evaluated me. My circumstance(out of state) specifically had many unexpected "road blocks" (for lack of a better phrase) from before walking into his office up to the last time meeting with him, and when these "Road Blocks" were presented to LLC Behavioral Health Services, I received quick and constant communication along with guidance through the entire process. This place has expressed an extreme amount of willingness to help , an abundance of education, and a tolerable but yet perfect amount of compassion. Would reccomend to anyone whom needs similar services. Thank you.

We were referred to this office by VNA clinic to see a hematologist and we told the front desk people that we're self-pay. Took us to a room after 20min of waiting, wait another 15 minutes, only to be seen a "student doctor" at least that's what he called himself. He kept asking us questions then he'll leave the room and he did this for quite a few times and then ended up giving us otc prescription for iron pills with a wrong first name on the prescription. We asked politely to change it. When we're about to pay, the lady up front named Delilah Murillo (that's the name she wrote on the paper) had us wait OUTSIDE the hallway,by the waiting area, closed the door and told us to pay $160- CASH. She said they don't take card for payment AT ALL. She even suggested to go get cash from a nearby gasoline station. We were dumbfounded, shocked and frustrated but we had no other choice. Went out to get cash and we came back and walked back inside but then she told us again to meet her outside in the hallway, shut the door behind her again and took the cash payment. I demanded a receipt, so she went back inside and gave us a piece of paper and wrote the amount we gave her and then her initial DM. I asked to write her full name, she looked at me and decided to wrote Delilah Murillo. I was just wondering if anybody has the same experience with this. We have to go back there in a month for follow-up but I was having second thought.

I completed 8 days at their outpatient program back in March. The psychiatrist, Doctor McFarren, was absolutely amazing and I wish I could bring her into the outside world with me. She listened to how I was feeling and didn’t resort to putting me on some hard core addictive pill right away. The program was nice as well, they had different classes you could choose from so if something didn’t apply to you, you didn’t have to attend. They also had activity classes which were really nice. Group therapy was great and it was nice to be with other people who understood what you were going through. Micah (my group leader), was absolutely amazing. I’m so thankful for them and how comfortable they made group. The only complaint I have which I put on my outtake form was that the group leader Rachel, really should not be leading classes. She might do better with 1-1 or something like that but every class I had that she led, she was not interactive and acted like it was an inconvenience to be there. I even tried to walk out of one of the classes once I realized she was the instructor. One day when Micah was out, Rachel filled our class and we had multiple new people in group and multiple of them said that they were not coming back the next day. A couple girls and I talked to them and explained Rachel was not our normal counselor and Micah was great so they should come back the next day. Thankfully they did, but when I mentioned how much I was struggling with Rachel, over half of my group agreed and said they didn’t not want to take any of her classes and that they wished they knew who the instructor was before we signed up. Maybe for the future- adding the instructors names to the list would be helpful so we can choose accordingly :) Derrick at the front desk was absolutely amazing as well!! And so is Ethan!! So thankful for most of the team there that made a difficult time in my life, seem not so difficult. I made life time friends from this program and I will forever be thankful for that.

My counselor is really chill and easy to talk to but also has the depths of knowledge to be able to have really substantive conversations basically a respectable amount of street smarts and book smarts and ability to know when to use which. My son was just discharged from here and has nothing but good things to say about Forest View and the care he received while he was there. The first couple days were hard for him to adjust which was expected, but after that everything went very well. I was definitely way more worried than I needed to be. Reading the reviews after he was already there was the worst thing I could’ve possibly done for my own mental health. Definitely don’t believe everything you read on the internet (not saying some of it’s not true). I went to Kent for an ADHD screening. Everywhere else was booked 6 months out, but Kent was able to start the process for me within 2 weeks. The whole process took under a month. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for a smooth and timely process. Dr. Chris Ehle was to the point, kind, and welcoming. The ADHD tester I had, Max, made me feel welcome. He did great at explaining the tests and directions to me, and helped to calm my nerves as I was VERY nervous and not knowing what to expect. I think most of the negative reviews on here are from people who don’t understand the process of ADHD testing, how insurance is billed, or just unhappy they didn’t get the diagnosis (drugs) they wanted. I’d definitely go to this place again. The front desk lady was also very kind and FAXed my results over to my doctor and therapist super quickly. Thank you Kent!

I had a great experience here with my adult adhd assessment. It changed my life. While I was initially actually diagnosed with adhd when I was 11, since my parents chose not to medicate me or what not and hoped I’d “grow out” of it, my adhd went untreated and apparently undocumented. Started seeing a psychiatrist and since we couldn’t track down the documentation, I needed to be retested at 30 years old before we could try certain meds. Sure enough, the adhd combined results spoke for themself. I actually also have anxiety, ocd (pure O), and depression, too. My psychiatrist and I started the med trial and error period, and after 4 months consistently on my two meds (Vyvanse for adhd, Prozac for the others,) I can honestly say my quality of life has increased dramatically. I’m doing better at work and in my personal life. North Kent changed my life!! Also, I went in thinking “what if I don’t actually have adhd,” and I realized well, if I don’t, the test will at least answer that and give me other answers for what’s actually going on. No matter what, you’ll get answers and will have guidance for the next steps. Highly recommend this place.

A very good place to receive low-cost mental healthcare. If you need help, I can honestly urge you to give them a chance. You deserve the chance. I'm pleased to say that there has been many good changes at Oaklawn. I've been going here off and on in the 40+ years since I was in high school (back when it was known as Madison Center), and 99% of the psychiatrists and counselors have always been very good. Though they are not immune from their own confirmation bias. Unfortunately, even though I like most of them, frontline staff has been in the past unsympathetic and cruel. When you're mentally ill, specifically having Major Depressive Disorder, doing anything at all can seem like an impossible task. Just getting out of bed can be terrifying and seem to have no point. And after you had to fight yourself and the world to get there, being required to fight for yourself and the respect everyone deserves, in a place where they're supposed to be there to help people with mental illnesses, is really not just inappropriate but unforgivable. Fortunately, management is approachable, and will listen. At least they have to me, and have thanked me for bringing certain issues to their attention. Even writing me a letter a week or so after we spoke. I don't work there, and I only know the things that I've seen and experienced firsthand, but it seems like a much friendlier place to work, less sterile. Which I'm sure positively affects the frontline staffs attitudes. And though frontline staff can seem clickish, and move to defend themselves as a group when one is criticized by a patient, say by gaslighting that patient, management is aware that that is inappropriate. In the 5 years since my previous review, I only recall one single negative experience. ================ Older Review from 2020: A decent place for low cost psychiatric care. But the front desk staff in the Physicians floor can be extraordinary rude and unsympathetic. Especially if you mention any displeasure with Oaklawn's rules, they seem to take it as a personal insult, and really need to get a job outside of psychiatric care, because they are not suited for it. They are also discouraging when you come to make an appointment, or pick up patient assistance medications, Etc. They often don't know what they're talking about, so don't let them discourage you from what you're trying to do and insist that they pass on messages to the people and doctors you are trying to contact.

I have been going to this clinic on and off for over a decade( like a decade and a half to be honest.)
