They treated us like real people, not just something they were stuck dealing with until their shifts ended like other facilities I was at. Patty or Patti, not sure which. Gave me someone to talk to about what was happening. She's the only reason I knew I could check myself into detox for more than 24hrs and the only reason I saw a path outside of waiting to die. Call them. It's free. This place saved me. They took the time to listen to me, even when I screamed at them because I was having a hard time expressing my emotions and trauma. They never seemed impatient with me and staff would stay with me as long as I needed. They take the time to get to know you and they ask you before putting you on new medications. They took us on fun outings and gave us each our own music player. We even got to pick the music they put on it! They treated us like real people, not just something they were stuck dealing with until their shifts ended like other facilities I was at. I used to try ending my life all the time before going there. After leaving, I never attempted again. Its been two years since I was there and I will always be greatful for everything they had done for me.

Endeavor Place was one of the best ran facilities, thanks to the owner Michele Buer. She always had fun activities planned for the youth such as going to timberwolves games, to state parks, out to eat for pizza, winter activities etc. She believed in work before play and created that type of atmosphere. She was honest, even if she knew you might not like her answer. Her honesty, kindness, and caring provided a positive role model for the youth. The counselors did a great job facilitating groups and meeting with client’s individually.

Structure was the main focus when I went there almost ten years ago. The counselors where what made it work and the backbone behind this place. This place isnt about fun. Its about getting better. Taking for granted that things may have changed significantly since I attended this inpatient treatment center.
