They have had issues with staffing but have always made sure I see the therapist or my doctor for my meds. The nurse has always contacted me back if I have any issues. My child is now seeing them on the children's side. Never had an issue with co-pays or staff. I do have to remind them of my yearly update due to computer program not up to date. They were the second treatment center I went to and they are part of the reason that I just hit 3 years of sobriety last month (July 2026). Like most guys, I was not happy about the idea of being in residential treatment at first. But, looking back now, I can say that I needed Stonewater and being there forced me to get 90 days of sobriety, which allowed me to start thinking clearly again. About halfway through my stay there, I actually started fully participating in groups and trying to use the coping skills they were teaching me. It was not perfect and neither was I, but I can say that I think Stonewater was good for me. Jeff Noles was the first therapist that ever really understood me and that I trusted. I also liked Houston and Farmer. Not every resident is going to get along with every staff member, but they do want the best for you, and I felt safe there every day. I met someone there that I still talk to regularly and consider one of my best friends. The support you get from the other guys in treatment is something you don’t realize has impacted you until you leave. As a Code 3 patient, I understand testing to be biweekly, but I was recently asked to complete another test only five days after my last one on (September4th)..... which means it has not even been a week????? last month was perfect it just seems to do this every other month. Although testing has generally been handled well, I expect I may be asked to test again before the next biweekly date. I will keep a physical calendar to document my testing dates and hope this can be clarified and handled consistently moving forward. At one time I was coming in with an infant and the staff was wonderful enough to keep him occupied long enough for me to do what was needed. I couldn’t ask for a better counselor! The houses are super comfortable and are a recovering addicts dream. This place most definitely helps recovering addicts and alcoholics get the level of care, support, and supervision that they need. This place has helped to slowly integrate me into society and helps to teach you how to live again without drugs and alcohol to function. I love group therapy and getting to talk about my addiction and how far I've come. Don't get me wrong I still struggle. But I still have a long way to go. I've been going to spero health since the end of March and early April. And this now May.
