This place saved my life. You get out of treatment what you are willing to put in. I did IOP and now do continuing care here. You meet people from all walks of life and it is that exact thing that helped me understand finally the psychic change necessary to avoid alcohol and grow connections with people.

I am the child of two parents who met at an AA meeting over thirty years ago. My mom and dad split when I was little because my dad was unable to defeat his demons. When I was 9 he overdosed for the final time on heroin. The last time I saw him was in prison. I’ve spent most of my twenties filling that emptiness with different substances such as alcohol, weed, painkillers, adderall, and most recently kratom. My substance abuse was destroying my relationship with my family. I’ve always reached to something hoping to numb the pain of my reality, but currently I’m reaching for a different sort of healing. I’ve been blessed to have been put into Jason’s group. I am attending meetings three days a week and still struggle in my day to day, but I have learned that it’s okay not to always feel okay. Becoming sober has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. My performance at work has improved, my friendships are getting better, and I am learning to love myself. My biggest motivation to get healthy is my beautiful family. They deserve a father they can be proud of and I will continue with the program until I know I can trust myself to continue on my own. Everyday presents its own challenges, but it is good knowing that there are people like Jason who care about what happens to me. He challenges the way I think and is one of the main reasons I decided to stick it out with the program. He is truly someone who practices what he preaches, and there is a part of me that doesn’t want to let him down. If you have fallen victim to addiction, I promise that if you give valley hope a chance and buy into the program that you will start to like the person you see in the mirror again. I’ve hated myself for most of my life and have attempted suicide multiple times. For the first time in a long time I feel as though i can see a light at the end of the tunnel. For so long it was only darkness. I always wore a mask in public that was hiding the pain I felt in my heart. I am thankful my wife pushed me towards this program and I really want to continue towards being able to control my life and my impulses. My children deserve to have the father that I was never afforded. I don’t trust many people, but Jason has earned my respect and is ultimately why I decided to continue. I believe with his guidance and the program that valley hope provides that I will be able to stay on the path towards a better and fulfilling life. I’m not perfect and it’s possible I will make mistakes along the road to sobriety, but I do know that I will never let substances control my life again. I truly believe that. It’s okay to ask for help sometimes. Find your reason and realize that we have but one life in this beautiful world. Don’t continue to let those precious moments be stolen by a substance. Happiness comes from within, not from a bottle. If your reading this, know that there is always time to change the path. It isn’t an easy way to travel, but I have to believe that it is worth it. I’m gonna keep working towards long term sobriety for the sake of my family but also for the sake of my soul. Thank you Valley Hope

The Stephen Center HERO program, located in Omaha, Nebraska, offers addiction treatment for low-income or homeless adults aged 19 and older. They accept several paymen
I haven't personally been a patient here, but I have had several friends complete the inpatient program for substance abuse, and they all seemed to like it. I know you can still smoke cigarettes, but no cell phones the first few weeks and limited if any contact at all with the outside world. It's coed, so that probably helps people when making a decision for an inpatient facility. Especially when we're talking 30+ days or more, detoxing off any and all things good, lol! The entrance to check in is tricky to find too, it's actually on the back side, or really, it might even be the side of the building under an awning. Hit the buzzer, and someone comes to help you get checked in.

I’ve been a patient here since 2016. My life is completely different and will continue to be thanks to the offering of medication assisted sobriety. The number one priority is you communicate with your counselor and the Doctor. Once you reach the dose your body needs the real changes begin. No more will you have to just get through the day because you’re sick or spend your entire paycheck to try and get enough to get through another week. The staff is made up of angels. Everyone is there to help us get better and live better. If you’re sick of being sick give the program a try. They only requirements are the desire for a better life and to stop abusing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (5/10, but rounding up to 5 stars because I’m grateful) Going to the VA for a procedure that requires dropping your trousers usually ranks somewhere between auditing a tax return and dental work without anesthesia. We all know the reputation: bureaucratic gridlock, endless waiting rooms, and the nagging suspicion that your doctor might actually be three raccoons in a trench coat. However, today’s visit to the outpatient surgical team completely shattered expectations. I arrived for a highly specific, one-way, "snip-and-ship" mechanical adjustment. Let’s just say the cargo hold is now permanently closed for business, but the equipment remains operational. The care team was phenomenal. Was it incredibly awkward to have a small committee of federal employees intensely focused on my immediate undercarriage? Absolutely. But the team leaned into the discomfort with a masterclass in tactical humor. Appropriate, well-timed jokes were deployed to distract me from the distinct smell of burning flesh and the realization that my lineage officially ends with my current lineup. They handled the, uh, sensitive logistics with absolute professionalism and a highly appreciated level of wit. If you need some internal plumbing decommissioned, this is the crew to do it. For your sake, I'm not adding photos to this review.

3/2026: firm believer in giving credit too. Womens clinic has worked hard to get me seen and schedule follow-up. And Silver clinic was outstanding! 01/2025 Update: What has happened to the Omaha VA?? Rushed appts, no staff to check you out, residents instead of seasoned docs (so procedures are painful - why are Vets guinea pigs?), and today a pharmacy tech who tells me the only way to ensure I got the right med is to look at the pills..... so the label change shouldn't concern me, the pills are right..... so the pharmacist that I spoke with last year, who corrected the Rx, who had the correct label, that doesn't matter? I'm supposed to know what my new mail center sends and to trust the doc & the pharmacy to send the correct med? I HAD the correct med in Florida, why did it change here? And how the heck would I know what the "right" pill looks like??? I only know the Rx is wrong when I have side effects, so thanks for wasting my time & arguing that it's "correct" when it does not appear to be so. If you'd simply label it properly and send the correct brand..... This on top of trying to use the Community Care Website (as they are in the office so few hours....) and yet there is no way to send a copy of the referral to the doc? I created yet another VA online account and yet it's really not useful beyond general info. If you call the "help" number, it will simply (after numerous prompts) send you to your local VA..... how does that help? Their office is closed! So not really a helpline. And why does the referral I just received not show on my list of referrals? This VA used to set the standard - the docs were caring, the staff engaging and on top of things.... what has changed? Went to the VA for chest xray, and ended up going to urgent care. They were polite, caring, and took care to check things - and to explain the results. No big wait, everyone was kind and staff seemed happy to be there.

I have been here for about 10 years now and have seen the staff come and go. I will say that yes there are some things that need to be worked on here. But with that being said my family and I are in the process of moving, and chose to stay in the state near this area because of this clinic and the select few employees here who make this clinic what it is. First Susan the nurse has been a blessing, she is always so nice, compassionate, and helpfull by far one of the best nurses I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I feel that she is under appreciated and should be praised for her hard work and care to her patients. Second Leta, a newer counselor who has listened to my constant jabbering and never makes me feel judged and helps in any way she can to make me feel heard and assists in helping me stay on track. Next Daniel a very pleasent person and usually the first person you see for your treatment needs, he always tries to make you feel welcome and helps with whatever you need. And last the new pharmacist he had big shoes to fill when the last pharmacist left, and has been doing an amazing job since. I would say if your looking for an affordable treatment center with these people who I have mentioned caring for you. You should have a successfull transition into a sober life.

I've been going to this clinic for about 18 months now and I am incredibly impressed. Their wait room times are fantastic. You are expected to allow 15 minutes to fill out the paper work, but you are generally taken back at or within 5 mins of your appointment time (if you show up the 15 mins early to do your paperwork). They are quick and efficient. They do take their time with the patient and address your concerns, but the amount of BS you have to do with is cut in half compared to any other provider. I have never had a long wait to get a prescription refill or an appointment. My provider recently left the clinic. He was a fantastic provider and the first provider who ever truly listened to me and validated my experiences. However my new provider, Lexie, is amazing. They are very lucky to have her. She also listened to me, trusted my opinions of what was going on, and spoke to me plainly about what options would work, which would not and why. I told her at the beginning I liked being part of the discussion and I was. I recommend this place to friends who have difficulty getting care because not only is it easy to get financial assistance, but you do not have to sacrifice quality of care to do so. In fact, I feel the care is a step up.

I started the IOP class with the mindset that I really didn't need it. I had already gotten so far into my recovery that I thought I was beyond it. I had only had a small time in addiction and I had dealt with other people's addiction problems that I thought I had all the information that I needed. After starting class with the Lovely, Amazing Grace (lol😘) and the rest of the wonderful people that had just started I felt like I belonged, like I was at a second home! I got to open up and realize my still existing problems. Grace taught me an enormous amount of skills, tools and knowledge to help me nearly complete my Recovery Tool Box! Helping me recognize my triggers or early warning signs for cravings, helping me to find dozens of coping skills and techniques and ways to keep moving forward and continuing my journey of sobriety. She made me realize that I can live a whole happy, healthy sober life!! She is the best teacher for a class like this that I could've ever been blessed with!!! 💕💕❤️❤️🫶🫶

I was having about the worst mental health crisis I had ever had. I was transferred here because my hospital didn’t have a bed available for me. They were very caring, knew your name instantly before even meeting you, and did the best they could to reassure you when you needed it. The nurses, techs, doctors, and therapists there were amazing! Thank you for helping me get back to me. I will utilize what I learned there to help myself!

I was at uta Halee in 2021, I got the march 21st and left may 2nd. My experience there was amazing I was in the shelter waiting for a bed at nova treatment community, Mrs Robinson was always there for me when I needed to talk to someone. Mrs collins was always fun to be around, Mrs Philips had a great sense of humor, Mr Harris was absolutely amazing he greeted me with kindness he always made sure I had a smile on my face, when I first got there I slept for 3 days straight and he would peak his head in my room making sure I was okay! Of course I was really shy at first but I made it through my stay. Mrs Jackson and me never got close and Mrs Hawthorne and me always had great conversations she even got to see my comedy personality. Every Wednesday was my favorite day because I got to enjoy the culinary class they had! Sometimes on the weekends they would allow us to use the tv to watch our favorite networks no matter what the movie was it just had to be appropriate. Right was my probation officer dropped me off a fight happened upstairs a girl punched another girl 82 times in just two minutes because they were left with one other staff member, I always had fun there. When you shaved you were supervised to save people from self harm! I did watch a few people runaway and watched someone beat up a deputy. But that told everyone that they needed to be somewhere more intense to straighten themselves up! Overall my stay there was amazing!!!
