I am the child of two parents who met at an AA meeting over thirty years ago. My mom and dad split when I was little because my dad was unable to defeat his demons. When I was 9 he overdosed for the final time on heroin. The last time I saw him was in prison. I’ve spent most of my twenties filling that emptiness with different substances such as alcohol, weed, painkillers, adderall, and most recently kratom. My substance abuse was destroying my relationship with my family. I’ve always reached to something hoping to numb the pain of my reality, but currently I’m reaching for a different sort of healing. I’ve been blessed to have been put into Jason’s group. I am attending meetings three days a week and still struggle in my day to day, but I have learned that it’s okay not to always feel okay. Becoming sober has been one of the hardest things I have ever done, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. My performance at work has improved, my friendships are getting better, and I am learning to love myself. My biggest motivation to get healthy is my beautiful family. They deserve a father they can be proud of and I will continue with the program until I know I can trust myself to continue on my own. Everyday presents its own challenges, but it is good knowing that there are people like Jason who care about what happens to me. He challenges the way I think and is one of the main reasons I decided to stick it out with the program. He is truly someone who practices what he preaches, and there is a part of me that doesn’t want to let him down. If you have fallen victim to addiction, I promise that if you give valley hope a chance and buy into the program that you will start to like the person you see in the mirror again. I’ve hated myself for most of my life and have attempted suicide multiple times. For the first time in a long time I feel as though i can see a light at the end of the tunnel. For so long it was only darkness. I always wore a mask in public that was hiding the pain I felt in my heart. I am thankful my wife pushed me towards this program and I really want to continue towards being able to control my life and my impulses. My children deserve to have the father that I was never afforded. I don’t trust many people, but Jason has earned my respect and is ultimately why I decided to continue. I believe with his guidance and the program that valley hope provides that I will be able to stay on the path towards a better and fulfilling life. I’m not perfect and it’s possible I will make mistakes along the road to sobriety, but I do know that I will never let substances control my life again. I truly believe that. It’s okay to ask for help sometimes. Find your reason and realize that we have but one life in this beautiful world. Don’t continue to let those precious moments be stolen by a substance. Happiness comes from within, not from a bottle. If your reading this, know that there is always time to change the path. It isn’t an easy way to travel, but I have to believe that it is worth it. I’m gonna keep working towards long term sobriety for the sake of my family but also for the sake of my soul. Thank you Valley Hope

I haven't personally been a patient here, but I have had several friends complete the inpatient program for substance abuse, and they all seemed to like it. I know you can still smoke cigarettes, but no cell phones the first few weeks and limited if any contact at all with the outside world. It's coed, so that probably helps people when making a decision for an inpatient facility. Especially when we're talking 30+ days or more, detoxing off any and all things good, lol! The entrance to check in is tricky to find too, it's actually on the back side, or really, it might even be the side of the building under an awning. Hit the buzzer, and someone comes to help you get checked in.

I was able to take a loved one to this facility. They have great staff and they really helped with their recovery. Life can be hard, but with facilities like this in Omaha. I wish we had more of these for our loved ones. Thank you Northpoint for helping my family member get better and continue to help them strive in the world with aftercare. It is one day at a time. Words cannot describe how incredible Northpoint is. This isn’t a place you walk into on the greatest day of your life but the community and support you receive is next level. You don’t feel alone. You don’t feel judged - even if you are coming back after previous treatment. The counselors Joe, Joshua and Tammi are amazing. I learned so much from each of them and they changed my life. The nurses take incredible care of you in all aspects of your needs. The recovery techs, Kim, Randy, Tyler, Connor, Brenda, Ruth, Gustavo, Chris and I’m sure others I’m missing - were the kindest, most supportive people. Having someone to talk to, listen, and cheer you on was amazing. Each one of these people deserves a raise. Linnette the clinical director goes above and beyond to ensure you are successful if you want to be and helps give you the tools you need to move forward. I missed so much in this review but Northpoint changed my life and I’m so thankful I found it.

I was at my last time I almost from prescribed by a well known Dr in iowa who caused me to go from fentanyl to heroin and now I'm in recovery . I was prescribed very amount of oxys to get off fentanyl 100 mch patch every other . I convised the Dr my body absorbed it faster then a normal person and that happens to 1 in 200 people would absorb fentanyl faster then then normal the agreed I was to changing every 48 instead of 72 hrs . when I came into baart I was trying to put it off but I couldn't after my last dose of oxys then I had no choice or be deathly ill ask I went into baaet after iso I called the counselor and said I need to make it in the thing scared me was I just using heroin and the only reason I used it was cause to the withdrawal from fentanyl was that seeks out heroin cause there stronger then fentanyl. shows that a person who would do drugs like that unless phacuidicanlg

I’ve been a patient here since 2016. My life is completely different and will continue to be thanks to the offering of medication assisted sobriety. The number one priority is you communicate with your counselor and the Doctor. Once you reach the dose your body needs the real changes begin. No more will you have to just get through the day because you’re sick or spend your entire paycheck to try and get enough to get through another week. The staff is made up of angels. Everyone is there to help us get better and live better. If you’re sick of being sick give the program a try. They only requirements are the desire for a better life and to stop abusing.

Just had carpal tunnel surgery and everyone from the nurse who checked me in to the surgeons and the whole staff in the or was very professional. The OR nurses kept talking to me to make sure i remained calm even though i was, but it was my first time being awake for surgery. Doctor made sure i was comphy and was very professional. This was my first visit. I had interactions with one receptionist two technicians, and one medical doctor. All of them were highly professional in the performance of their duties, displaying great knowledge, and providing a very cordial, welcoming, and reassuring atmosphere. As individuals and part of the overall team, everyone involved was very sincere. I highly recommend OneWorld.

Love this facility people come and go sometimes but the professionalism and kind nature of everyone working there has been a huge reason for my sobriety I love the new management and Tammy is a wonderful counselor. I have been here for about 10 years now and have seen the staff come and go. I will say that yes there are some things that need to be worked on here. But with that being said my family and I are in the process of moving, and chose to stay in the state near this area because of this clinic and the select few employees here who make this clinic what it is. First Susan the nurse has been a blessing, she is always so nice, compassionate, and helpfull by far one of the best nurses I have ever had the pleasure of working with and I feel that she is under appreciated and should be praised for her hard work and care to her patients. Second Leta, a newer counselor who has listened to my constant jabbering and never makes me feel judged and helps in any way she can to make me feel heard and assists in helping me stay on track. Next Daniel a very pleasent person and usually the first person you see for your treatment needs, he always tries to make you feel welcome and helps with whatever you need. And last the new pharmacist he had big shoes to fill when the last pharmacist left, and has been doing an amazing job since. I would say if your looking for an affordable treatment center with these people who I have mentioned caring for you. You should have a successfull transition into a sober life.

I’ve been a patient here since 2016. My life is completely different and will continue to be thanks to the offering of medication assisted sobriety. The number one priority is you communicate with your counselor and the Doctor. Once you reach the dose your body needs the real changes begin. No more will you have to just get through the day because you’re sick or spend your entire paycheck to try and get enough to get through another week. The staff is made up of angels. Everyone is there to help us get better and live better. If you’re sick of being sick give the program a try. They only requirements are the desire for a better life and to stop abusing.

I genuinely could not have had a better experience with Charles Drew Health Center. I was able to get in to see Dr. Kate Scott from UNMC, and she was incredible. She was knowledgeable, kind, thorough, and, most importantly, took the time to actually educate me about my condition. I left my appointment understanding what was going on, what my options were, and why the recommended course of treatment made sense. That kind of care makes a huge difference. Charles Drew itself also really impressed me. Having a pharmacy literally right upstairs from the clinic is a game changer. Being able to leave an appointment and get your medication without having to make another trip across town removes one more barrier to getting the care you need. What stood out to me most, though, is how much Charles Drew truly feels like it exists for the community. Between medical care, pharmacy services, community outreach, education, and the other resources they provide, it feels about as close to a one stop shop for healthcare and support as you can get. There is a real effort being made to make quality healthcare accessible, understandable, and convenient for the people they serve. I would recommend Charles Drew to anyone. My experience from beginning to end was excellent, and I walked away feeling informed, cared for, and genuinely grateful that we have an organization like this serving our community. They aren’t just providing healthcare, they’re showing up for people, and that matters.

I was having about the worst mental health crisis I had ever had. I was transferred here because my hospital didn’t have a bed available for me. They were very caring, knew your name instantly before even meeting you, and did the best they could to reassure you when you needed it. The nurses, techs, doctors, and therapists there were amazing!
