This is a great facility and the people I interacted with are even better. Specifically I'd like to mention Sandy and Tiffany.
Sandy was always extremely professional and cordial with me. Always asked how I was and expressed genuine concern for everyone.
To say that Tiffany is an excellent counselor would be an understatement. She takes the extra initiative to help her clients grow. Tiffant listened to all my needs and created a treatment plan tailored to my needs and aligned with the most current clinical methodology. I got sober at Maynord's in March of 2013 thanks to a wonderful program, good food and the support of my family. I'm posting this today because my boss asked me about rehab for his stepson, so I looked Maynord's up to recommend their program. When I looked at the website and saw the pictures, so many (mostly good) memories came flooding back and I smiled. My life now is incredible and it's because I made it through that first tough week when I didn't think I belonged there!
PS...I had never tried biscuits and gravy before my stay and they were pretty good...lol

they dont take the students seriously and refuse to believe genuine requests for mental and emotional help. The directors lie to parents and will do or say anything to keep kids there as long as possible to collect as much money as possible.

Saved my life in 2000. I was the 2nd set of.women to ever go through. Lynn Skaggs, Lynda...Fred cooked and Rod did the TL and Theresa was a counselor there then. I spent some time above the office as for a short time it was TL. Most of the rules were written because of me haha. Anyway, it was like heaven for me. Some women claimed to see angels in the rooms.

I was treated for non epeleptic seizures. With a workbook, individual counseling, and the support of friends I not only have had no seizures in 5 months but I have gotten rid of panic attacks. My family member had an evaluation by her. She was very detailed and the evaluation took about an hour. I think the reason people are giving her bad reviews is because she is a good judge of character and can tell if she is being lied to. Because that’s what she is professionally trained to do. And as far as her “making money off people with substance abuse issues”.....it’s a service, it’s not going to be free. And it shouldn’t be cheap just because you have a drug problem. Take some responsibility for your actions that landed you there in the first place.

Dunno why people are giving her such bad reviews, especially this review: "People dying from drugs. This place and drug programs make money off someone trying to save their lives." Uh yeah, that's how SHE MAKES A LIVING. Sounds like this reviewer has boundary issues and wanted something for nothing. Doesn't work that way, buddy.
I received some good advice from her the one visit I had. Some advice that has helped me make changes that have helped keep me away from booze for awhile. But if you go to her, be prepared for a full assessment/evaluation. She will pull no punches and give a straight report...

I haven't gone here, but I would like to say that the intake specialist I spoke to when I called named Doug is an absolutely amazing man. He not only answered every question I had, but he also gave me sound advice and kind, supportive words that have really helped me in this process. Even after finding out that I would be attending a different facility, he has been there for me with support and help in any way he can and has kept up with me every day to see how things are progressing for me. Absolutely outstanding individual who clearly cares about people and is interested in their wellbeing and not just in getting them into the place he works for. Doug, you are a kind, caring, empathetic soul and have made a big impact on me and my journey through this process. First steps is one of the greatest places you could ever end up for recovery. This place was my home away from home for my stay of 90 days the great staff made me feel so welcomed as soon as I walked through the doors. To the amazing chef Darryn at the oak house cooking 5 star meals to the tech staff some of my favorite were David , Andrea , Jessica , Francisco , Char , and Angie some of the best and attentive staff! This “company” other known as a government funded drug operation, allow their tweaker customers to do drugs right outside of the building. On the lawns of the homes next door. I have to explain to my 5 year old why there’s random tweaks nodding off as we enter our neighborhood. Absolutely zero oversight or enforcing of common courtesy.. such as doing your drugs more than 200 ft from the building and maybe not in a community where families live. They blast music (CONSISTENTLY) at 4 am while picking up their tweak supplies and wake up my 8 month old. Least professional business I’ve encountered. We will be moving as soon as possible thanks to this mini drug cartel.
