Went march-april of 2019 fresh out of 6 month jail bid. Couldn't ask for a better group of people all around. I was genuinely accepted and treated with dignity by both residents and staff. 28 days flew by and I was reminded of how |enjoyable life can still be even if you are sober. They let us smoke cigarettes on the patio outside and the food was outstanding and many times restaurant quality. I'll always have fond memories of this place. I can only hope that those that I met there are winning their battle with addiction or at the very least not giving up. They were all good souls that deserve happiness just as much as anyone else.

Granite Recovery is one of the only places around that truly teaches the concepts behind AA and spirituality as a whole. A lot of the program gets lost in translation for various reasons but the staff at Granite recovery truly understand, practice and pass on the message behind the Bigbook to the clients at Granite Recovery. My daughter (age 14) was at Summit Sept-Dec this 2024. It is an excellent program and I highly recommend it!
There is a lot of negative press surrounding these types of programs and we were nervous sending our daughter, but I can assure you that this program is amazing and very professionally run.
The kids and adults gain incredible insight into their old patterns and behaviors. Ultimately, the kids learn how to navigate old and new relationships, how to move forward and how to make healthy, appropriate choices.
The therapist my daughter worked with was incredible and very talented. We met with her once a week as well, so we were kept informed about our daughter's progress. The parent coach that we worked with was also excellent and very professional.
This program is unique because it is more of a hybrid program that offers wilderness therapy combined with education, so the children do not fall behind in school.
Summit is a top notch program and it provided the reset we all needed!

Averte clinical staff are kind, compassionate and responsive. They truly care about the people in need of their services as well as their family members. As soon as I reached out for help, Steve called me within an hour and then was planning a visit within days to assess the situation (which was a 2.5+ hour drive). The team wraps their services around the person in need until they are stable. Amy, the Clinical Program Coordinator even took time from her vacation to talk to me prior to my family members discharge. That kind of support is invaluable during a time of crisis stabilization and the level of support is reassuring for everyone involved. One should never hesitate to reach out for help and if you are lucky, the help will come from Averte.

I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.

I used to visit the St Johnsbury location and I miss those ladies so much.. BUT, the ladies at the Newport location have been so wonderful and welcoming!! Which is why I stick with Savida, at the end of the day, even though it's a much further drive now.. And through the heights in the winter, it can be super tricky.. But it is WORTH IT!! My provider Shauna is THE BEST.. And I sincerely believe that they have been a huge part in my continued sobriety over the last 10 years.. I see so much hate being projected on the reviews here. This place honestly saved my life, This place and people are the Reason why I am off of dope. There are a few things that could change though,One of the crappiest Things Are, When you Finally Make it to the clinic,Sometimes on Saturday there is a Enormous line out the door all the way around the building. Other than that it's an amazing safe place.
Well I forgot one thing. This is my 3rd counselor which I hope they don't keep leaving.

I have read some of the negative reviews on here and the only thing I can say is when your going through detox every bad thing that happens is greatly magnified and things are not always as bad as you think. It’s a detox not day camp. If you are truly being sick and tired of being sick and tired and you want help getting clean and sober I would suggest going to Farnum. This place definitely saved my life. If you are looking for a place that will help in your recovery then please reach out to them. I didn’t get it right the first time so I’ve been there twice over the course of 5 years but both times I’ve been there all of the staff were all very helpful and caring. I think the staff does a great job at New Season Concord, N. H. I constantly hear people talking bad about the clinic, and just putting it down. My thoughts would be that more then likely they probably would never open such a place of there wasn't proof of it working. Or should I say, if the success rate wasn't there. But anyways, in all reality, it honestly is what you make of it. You basically figure out how you want your goal of sobriety to go, with the help needed from the Doctor, Nurses, and the rest of the staff. This place was really able to help me when I had a break down a few years back after my dad died. Its not a bad place if you follow the rules and focus on your treatment. If you don't and act up and fight others or staff you get put in seclusion, then they get out and leave bad ratings on the hospital and staff that tried to help them .

Forgive the lengthy review, but even finding a fraction of what I found here at River Rock could change the trajectory of your life.
I am incredibly grateful for the team at River Rock and the novel, individualized whole human approach they take. They teach a variety of therapeutic modalities that address different aspects of a person. For instance, CBT helped me better cope with my thoughts and reduce negative thinking patterns, while DBT improved my emotional regulation, coping skills, and interpersonal relationships. IFS gave me a deeper understanding of myself, and somatic trauma therapy allowed me to address trauma stored in my body through the autonomic nervous system, helping me reprocess the emotional response tied to it.
Beyond therapy, River Rock emphasizes essential aspects of life, such as evidence-based practices to change habits and improve sleep, nutrition, exercise, adventure-based recovery, breath work, and encourages exposure to outside recovery communities. Their approach is not one-size-fits-all because everyone’s recovery is unique. What I was curious about and what worked for me might not be the same thing that will work for someone else, and the team at River Rock respects and nurtures this individuality. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive and comprehensive environment for my recovery journey.

Got my life together here some people just don’t understand life is not a choice and it’s not guaranteed If u get opportunities in life it can be a hit or miss and they offer a lot of benefits that’s most shelters don’t have and half the kids in there don’t want anything good they just want a spoon in there mouth the whole way I for one learned my first month there how people come and go and typically spend 2 years tops if They can’t find someone to stay with here and there. Overall good service food showers clothing towels basic things any human would need.
