Green Mountain Treatment Center saved my life. I was sick and scared when I arrived, but the transformation that occurred for me during the 80 days I spent on the mountain was nothing short of a miracle.
I quickly recognized that hard work on my part needed to be done, or I'd be miserable and missing out on the gifts of the program. Thankfully, there is an incredible staff in place who walked with me through the introspection I had to do and showed me that recovery was possible. I marked 5 months sober yesterday and I truly believe that God removed my alcoholic obsession while I was on the mountain.
Everyone's experience is different and I can only speak of my own, but I personally could not see myself succeeding as I did in any other facility. I'll be thankful to Green Mountain for the rest of my life.

PLEASE SAVE THIS HOSPITAL FROM BEING CLOSED. This is the only hospital where you can be seen and released within a reasonable time frame. The staff are kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have had harrowing experiences at other hospitals. Never this one. I do wish they’d clean up the waiting room a little though.

I was destined to enter the doors at The Granite House and when I arrived my spirit was at its lowest due to my habitual drug and Alcohol relapses. I can wholeheartedly say with conviction that the spirit Of God works through the Amazing human beings who work in this organization. In the beginning I called them staff but before I knew it they were my family. I was so upset that I had to be at TGH but it turned out to be an amazing experience! I needed to be there in the exact time that I was there. This place did a lot for me. My first night there was extremely hard for me and Petra was absolutely amazing ! I wanted to leave , I didn't feel good and she was able to calm me down and keep me there. I felt like she truly cared and wanted to help me get thru my time at the facility and she helped me set up outpatient care so that when I left Mayflower I was all set with good resources. My first impression of Mayflower was an amazing. I felt so comfortable with the staff immediately, they made me feel so welcomed and supportive. The staff was unbelievably knowledgeable in addition. I felt safe and well taken care of. My room was first class with my own TV. The food was cooked by a chef and was unbelievable. I was most impressed with the Director of the program. He did a morning group everyday to address any concerns we may have and to impress how he was there to help the clients. Very professional and comfortable at the same time. 10 out of 10. The best in Massachusetts if not the North East.

I attended NFA 5 years ago. It was my first time getting sober at 22 years old. NFA is where I started my journey. Although I cant speak to how the facility is now, I can speak to what it once way. My case manager Andy was very helpful and he heard me out. The facility itself was very basic, lots of meetings, enough free time for smoke breaks and basketball. The food was pretty good from what I remember. I will say there was a lot of medication, (sometimes meds that I feel like we didn't need but was given anyways). I was in inpatient for 2 weeks and the last two weeks was a house off property where we got phone access and got to make our own meals, which was a great transition. Overall, I would say that my experience was pretty good. I am still sober today...5 years later. I think that to be successful in staying sober you need aftercare, no one stays sober after 30-45 days of inpatient. A sober house afterwards is a necessity. Hope this helps!

I am eternally grateful for Canterbury behavioral health, especially for Jenn Rocha. When I admitted, I was at the lowest point in my life, hopeless, scared, and vulnerable, I had nothing left to give and no hope for the future. Jenn Rocha literally saved my life. If it hadn't been for her holding hope for me when I had none, supporting me, encouraging me, coaching, advocating, cheering me on and pushing me in the ways I needed to be pushed, with love support and encouragement, I would not have stayed and gotten the help I so desperately needed. Everything that could go wrong did, and her support and guidance helped me find a glimmer of hope again. She loved me unconditionally at my lowest, without judgement, when I needed it the most. Her genuine desire to help, and her authenticity gave me the most beautiful gift of learning to trust again. She will be forever in my heart for everything she did for me, and there are no words that are powerful enough to express my gratitude for her and everything she did for me. Yes, the program works if you work it, but it works even better with the compassion of the staff that work at Canterbury. It is truly a blessing to finally have a residential program for mental health in NH. From the top down, the staff genuinely care and want to help, and it is an amazing program. I hope to never need it again, however if I ever do, this is where I will go.

If you are ready to accept help & want to make a positive change in your life you should definitely call them. I go to the Peabody clinic & it has been a great experience. Honestly I had no expectations I think except maybe I was just another number walking through the door & that has been the furthest thing from the truth. Everyone, I mean Everyone has been amazing. They care, I honestly believe that. They want to see you succeed in your recovery. When you walk in they remember you name, they are all very pleasant, which helps me so much going to a place that have a great staff. The security staff always smile & remember peoples names (incredible), the front desk are great, they are welcoming & funny, the nurses are always very pleasant & interact with you. I have the best counselor. She is amazing & so easy to talk to. She has been a rock for me in my recovery, I can’t say enough about her. I have interacted a bit with the head counselor too & she has gone out of her way to help me when she was slammed with work & it’s when I was new to the clinic. I really appreciated that. I just want to mention the director. She has been wonderful wherever I have interacted when her. She has been pleasant, calls me by my name which is impressive to me anyway because I don’t see her much, but she remembers my name just the same. That says a lot to me about the type of person that leads the clinic. As you can tell I am a big fan of the place. They have helped me tremendously in getting over this mountain that I have been struggling with for a decade or so. When I see some of these negative reviews I don’t think it’s how 99.99% of the people going there feel. Most people only write reviews to complain. This clinic has i believe over 600 patients. Honestly if you are having a bad situation where you are not happy it’s most likely because you messed up and are paying the consequences for your own actions. We are in this clinic to begin with because of bad decisions, bad roads we chose to take. The rules won’t change from the day you decide to join to your last day after you complete the program. If you take care of your end of the deal they will live up to their end. Even if you relapse they will be there to pick you back up, encourage you and stick by you as long as it takes. I give a ton of credit & really appreciate the work that these people do. If you want help, call .. they will help you like they have everyone else.

I was a Meta client from October 2024-May/June 2025. The night staff—especially Brooke and Kiana— go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable and heard. They don’t just do their job—they show up with their whole heart. You can feel how much they care, and that kind of compassion truly sticks with you.
The support I’ve received from the staff since day one has been consistent & genuine. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves, and that creates a level of understanding and safety that’s incredibly rare.
The groups are filled with people who are real, kind, and supportive. We all come from different walks of life, but everyone is here for the same reason—and we lift each other up through it. I’ve made real connections and found sober friendships that continue to motivate me daily.

I have struggled with my addiction for 20 years now and I’ve been on and off this clinic for several years. Linda is a miracle worker and one of the sweetest people I know. Laura is also the best! I’ve always had awesome clinicians Jim M. has been great to work with and has always been on point with helping me in every situation I come barreling in with!!! First time in methadone treatment clinic and this place has consistently gone above and beyond anything I expected. Was on suboxone at a different clinic then relapsed for past 2 years til I found this place. Everyone has been supportive and none of them cynical, I feel like it's actually possible to get lasting and helpful treatment here. I don't know what others expect or consider important, but they listen and have been clear with me so I can learn what to expect and work toward short and long term goals. Front desk staff has been especially amazing. Learned quickly not to rely on anecdotes and just talk to them directly

HONESTLY like in reality and completely sober… Emerson mental health facility could use much better showers and the roommate sitch wasn’t 10/10 but they surprisingly did a good job with breakfast/lunch/dinner and the staff I could not imagine working there for reals …overall weirdly 10/10 immersion like feel very much do not recommend actually going there ever

Huge shoutout to this hospital—this was our first time here, and we’re not even from the area. Still, I have to give major credit to the incredible doctor and nurses. We brought in our daughter, who has a severe peanut allergy, and they acted fast. They took her in immediately, gave her the necessary medication right away, and did everything they could to keep her comfortable. Truly grateful for the care we received.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have Emerson merely 10 minutes from our house. I just recently returned from my second emergency visit with my little ones - this one resulted in an admission and was so impressed with the level of skill, compassion, expediency, and attention to detail I found in the support of myself and my young son. It was under an hour from triage to being admitted with oxygen support, a chest x-ray, and lab work being run. We are so lucky to have such an incredible resource so close to home.

I owe all the thanks in the world to Alexandria and the Ascend program. It was exactly a year ago that I was discharged from the program, and I haven’t gone back to that dark space again due to the teaching from this program and keeping in touch with my group members. I am super grateful for all the kindness and support I was able to receive from the ASCEND program led by Alexandria, Vivian and Sheng Mai. They were always communicative in a timely manner and the program has helped me in a dark time. Especially for a woman of color, it was incredible to meet other women of color who had similar experiences who I am still connected to even out of the program. ASCEND is life changing. I highly recommend it. The service was exceptional! 👏

Great, great place for young men to get back on there feet and a fresh start! The whole program is amazing, staff, facility, especially the food with their own chef cooking! Teachers are exceptional and have experience with special education services. I had been involved with several other facilities before our family got to Center point for young men and was very unhappy with what we went thru, but when we got here this place was 100 percent different and I just don't have enough time for all the good things I can say and the changes it has made in my child's life.

Centerpoint changed our lives for the better! Our families experience at Centerpoint was nothing but positive. We were referred to Centerpoint by the Department of Mental Health after 18 ART/CBAT admissions. I have to admit at first I was hesitant as the program is long term and, no one wants their child away from home for that long. After much deliberation and thought we agreed to the admission. It’s not easy to agree to this level of care, often times heart breaking but, we knew our son was suffering and no other treatment seemed to be effective for longer than a few months. It’s hard work and you are asked to participate in weekly family therapy where you have to be open and honest and tackle all of the issue which lead to this level of care. My son, my husband and I committed ourselves to this and boy did it work. It wasn’t easy, it was emotionally challenging and having to drag up things from the past was less than desirable. We learned how to effectively communicate with each other which was the foundation of our son getting better. If you and your child embrace the program it works!
The staff was always very accommodating, kind, caring and well trained. You can tell that they are experts in their field. Each child is different and they made it their mission to learn our sons behaviors and personality so they could make him feel comfortable, safe and that he could trust them.
Since discharge our son has thrived socially, emotionally and academically. He has learned to use the skills that were taught at Centerpoint which has effectively ended the vicious cycle of short term hospitalization. When considering an IRTP I would strongly recommend Centerpoint!!

Can’t say enough good things about this place!! I have accomplished so many things here I thought I never could ! It’s taught me independence how to love myself and be happy again! And how to balance work being a single mom,recovery,self care and most of all to be the best mother I can be!
