Social recovery center. Man.. my life before social recovery center was pure madness , no hope and lost. I was refered to social recovery center by the rehab I was in, I didn’t know what IOP was , I just knew I needed something to guide me in the right direction. Once I walked in those doors , the smiles followed by a warm welcoming hit me. It was all so new to me. The information I’ve learned about myself from the counselors and what I have to deal with is life saving. Once I heard that information , I couldn’t unknow it. The other stories , struggles or whatever that I heard really stuck with me. The way I’ve identified and realized , damn they have it worse. It feels good to be around people that understand my struggle. The support I’ve recived from my counselors and peers were more support than I’ve ever recived from anyone. I’m still learning everyday and trying to be the best man I can be, Social Recovery Center helped me grow up and opened my eyes, I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone there. Thank you 🙏🏾❤️

I went to RCA three years ago, and I can honestly say they saved my life. When I arrived, I was completely consumed by my addictions and had no idea how to climb out. This place gave me the tools, structure, and support I needed to rebuild myself from the inside out. The staff truly cares. They don’t just treat you, they teach you. I learned coping skills, accountability, and how to face life without numbing everything. They helped me understand my patterns, break them, and replace them with healthier habits. Even now, years later, I still use what I learned there. I walked in broken and walked out with hope, clarity, and a future. If you’re struggling and you’re ready for real change, this is the place that can give you your life back. I’m forever grateful.

The great outweigh the frustrations. The staff in the building are capable, competent, compassionate, patient, and truly wonderful! They helped me unlock so much in my recovery, and I left my 30 day treatment feeling like a truly new man. I feel like Im a version of myself that I didn’t know existed. I have such supreme admiration for the boots on the ground: Marguerite, Kelly, Sheets, and Jeff, to the case managers (shoutout Maggie), to the group leaders like Betty, Scott, Nick, Donald, Kevin, Rob, Ben, to the nursing and RSS staff, the cleaning staff, and kitchen staff. They all contributed in saving my life. The frustrations stem from the negligence at the top levels of this company. There were several situations, and altercations that put the patients hygeine, safety, and ultimately, sobriety in jeopardy due to extreme budget cuts. The “interim ceo” peacocks around the hallways, and when directly adressed by patients with issues about patients concerns, he smugly passes the buck and ignores said issues. If it werent for these frustrations, this place could be the gold standard for recovery. For these reasons, I give the staff a 9 out of 5, and the pencil pushers a resounding 0 out of 5.

East Coast Recovery is amazing! It’s amazing because the people that work there are incredible and they care very much about seeing clients succeed. I initially planned on being at East Coast on a week to week basis, not knowing how it was going to be before I got there. 227 Madison ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CONDUCT from Head Nurse - Door Slammed in My Face. I had a deeply unsettling and unprofessional experience on the 7th Floor. I approached the Head Nurse, Ms. Joseph, at the nurse's station with a simple, respectful question regarding the person I was visiting. The Head Nurse responded with an immediate and hostile display of impatience. They didn't even allow me to finish my sentence before barking, "I'm busy," and slammed the office door shut right in my face. This aggressive and completely unacceptable behavior is a massive failure in professionalism and human decency, especially from someone in a leadership role in patient care. Visitors should not be treated with such contempt. The nurse's hostile reaction speaks volumes about the unit's culture. Management needs to address this specific incident immediately. I am truly shocked by this lack of respect. The facility and employees were very nice. She was the only one that was unprofessional.

Best facility for treatment of Dual Diagnoses and mental health. 10/10 reviews - very receptive, caring, kind, intellectual, capable and grounding staff. I’ve been here just 3 weeks and I can already tell the difference. I’m more grounded, mindful and feel more calm and peaceful. GenPsych teaches you skills to deal with life. CBT, DBT, mindfulness, coping skills and much more. The entire staff is nice, knows exactly what they’re doing and they personalize treatment as much possible. Going to the Livingston GenPsych was one of the best things I have ever done for myself - if not the best thing I have ever done for myself. The therapists there are incredible - Julie, Charlotte, Mike, Kayla, Eric are all fantastic, incredible people who have changed so many lives including my own. They truly care. The office receptionist, Provy, is a queen and a kind, friendly face who instantly makes you feel safe and the security guard, Max, is a gem as well. It is such a great, loving place and it is what you make it. The DBT program saved my life - it is hard, but give yourself up to it. :)

Over the past few years, Hazelden Betty Ford has been a steady anchor in my recovery. The counselors are top notch and, more importantly, genuinely caring—they listen without judgment, remember the details, and offer practical, real-world guidance. Group sizes are small and manageable, so you actually get personal attention. The vibe among patients is supportive and motivated. Most folks are there because they want to be, and that makes a huge difference. I’ve participated in IOP, outpatient groups, individual therapy, DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed work. The DBT class, in particular, was a life changer—the skills are concrete and I use them every day. Over my time at Hazelden, I’ve gained tools to rebuild routines, reduce cravings, improve relationships, and maintain sobriety. Insurance/billing was smooth and handled thoughtfully, which removed a lot of stress. I’m deeply grateful for the compassion and structure here—five stars without hesitation.

I was there November 10 2025 for a kidney stone procedure. It was beyond exceptional. Everyone had their jobs to do and it was done beyond my expectations . I could have easily gone to Mt Sinai or New York Presbyterian. But all my records are with the VA hospital and since I been going to them for about 6 years now I feel very comfortable. After I was sent home two days later I had a setback ,in excruciating pain and literally living two blocks away from NY Presbyterian I chose to go to the VA emergency care. It was 2:30am and 7 minutes later I was on a bed in the Urgent care with meds in my system pain free. I remember all the faces but not the names in the Urgent Care unit. people are constantly thanking me for my service . But God bless them all at the VA. I am now back home resting .

‘Hurt People , Hurt People’. I needed a free therapist and was able to have 5 intake sessions with a pleasant young woman. I benefited from these sessions as it is always rewarding when we analyze and acknowledge what is going on in our lives. So much was happening for me and I was not able to attend all the assigned sessions. Management was not able to communicate in a responsible or mature manner; I wonder maybe they too are prior clients who have graduated but do not have a total grip on their situation and sometimes need help themselves. My very pleasant intake person became insensitive, cold, ‘passive aggressive’ and quite non communicative. I lead the conversation and realized that I was being ‘expelled’. I really don’t know the reason as I do believe she has her own issues and the Leadership is not of a strong foundation with knowledge of servicing a diverse clientele. Such a shame because this has the potential to be a top notch program in a great community. I only wish I was able to find an experienced, strong, qualified leadership that is familiar with diversity and respect. I was feeling hurt as this was the second time I had to deal with leadership’s lack of sensitivity. It should not be just a JOB when people come to you for help. Fix the structure of this place.

I don't know what this place is like now but I can tell you 30 years ago when I was a homeless addict, I came to try and get clean This program works it's not easy but neither is being on the street looking for money to get high. This is the program where you go when you have no friends no family no money and no insurance. It's no frills but it's clean they feed you and you get to learn how to live drug free with other people. I think we should invest in more places like this one. I Felt I had to add this after reading some other reviews yes this place is a very old building part of our job as we got clean was also to do the daily chores of keeping Our house clean. I don't know about some of the other people who were there but I was literally sleeping either on the trains or just in the street somewhere so This place was a step up for me. 🙏🏻 greatful every day.

Since coming to Pyramid Langhorne, and after 40 years of trying to get sober ; I've finally came to believe that I have totally surrendered and stopped fighting. Each day keeps getting better and better. I know that it has to do with my willingness, but the main reason is because of the staff. Im not talking about speaking with or too the actual patient themselves but for the family or loved ones who are active & supporting the patient, this facility won’t update you or give any information regarding the treatment plan even if you ARE the emergency contact. All I wanted was information on the program or how this all works. BUT NONE OF THEM HELP OR GUIDE YOU. They are crap. Update as of 12/3/25 I was called on Sunday by a staff member & told I would be receiving a call from my husband’s counselor the following day. It’s been 2 days since & STILL NOTHING. I’m going to seek legal help regarding this.

Back in 1971, I accompanied a friend of mine who went through TC program in Rehersburg, PA. My friend had an appointment to visit an elderly psychiatrist/counselor (Mr. Eisenberg). After my friend had his appointment, I was beckoned into his office. This so called counselor asked me a number of very intrusive and personal questions. I had no drug nor addiction problems. I didn't ask for so called "counseling". God fearing young man and a firm Christian! Anyone else from early 1970s ever encountered this guy?

was lied to and also lied to the state. was told lies about sons condition and then told the state that he was getting better. Was told that the best days he had there were the days he took adderall. Thanks for denying my son the compensation he needed for tms therapy over lying to the government. You will be hearing from my lawyer now. If you REALLY CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE THEY WILL LIE TO YOU. DO NOT GO HERE

High Focus saved my life. When I first walked in, I was struggling with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, guilt, shame, relationship issues, unhealthy coping strategies, trauma, battling with thoughts of giving up and abandonment – honestly, the list goes on. I felt completely lost and was stuck living in survival mode. But with the help of the caring and supportive staff, I was able to uncover strengths I didn’t even know I had, and rediscover the confident, beautiful person beneath all the pain. If you’re feeling lost or unsure where to turn, walking through those doors could change your life. The program works, but you get out of it what you’re willing to put in. Let it work for you. I miss all the staff and amazing friends I’ve met during my journey.

Dr Brian Hall and his team were amazing. I came in for hernia surgery scheduled for 7:30 am. They were on time, very professional and at the same time very courteous. I was so nervous because it was my first surgery and Im in my 50’s. The anesthesiologist was soo funny, he made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Nurse Sang in recovery was a sweetheart. My surgery was successful and I am very pleased with the whole experience. Dr Hall is very very good. Knowledgeable, relaxed, courteous and professional. I would recommend him to anyone.
