Mountainside has been amazing in support of our son as well as us as parents throughout this challenging and painful journey of addiction!! In particular, The Sober Coach, Morris, that is working directly w our son and in tandem with us is absolutely amazing in so so many ways. He has and continues to go up and above each and every day!! It takes a Team and we would be lost without Morris!! Our sincere thanks and prayers are with Morris and all the Therapists and Counselors in the Mountainside Community - Tom D

My son has been working with Morris, a Recovery Coach at Mountainside for the past eight months and the experience has been exceptional for us both! Morris truly understands how to support recovery in a real world, day to day way. The coaching goes further than check-ins. It includes accountability, life skills, emotional support, and sometimes honest hard conversations. My son has learned how to manage challenges, make healthier choices and is learning how to stay focused on his long-term goals. The progress he’s made has been remarkable and I credit much of that to the consistent well informed coaching he receives. Not only does Morris provide coaching to my son, his expertise extends to me as well. He is highly responsive and always follows through. Mountainside’s Recovery coaching is more than a service. It feels like it’s a true partnership. As a mom navigating this process, I am grateful for the guidance, structure, the encouragement and situational advice Morris provides. I would recommend their coaching without hesitation to any family who’s looking for meaningful sustained support around sobriety. This has made a significant difference for my family. Early recovery, albeit exciting, can be fragile, and I cannot imagine having gone through this experience without the coaching Morris provides.

Id love to give these guys a 5 but recently I was dropped due to insurance. ( I have medicaid. Which makes me less fortunate then others who pay for there insurance) so after about a year and a half. Outside of that the groups are excellent the facilitators truely care, and the people who are the ones that really make the groups they are great. I thibk due to the telahealth aspect people are more willing to dig into there traumas and passed. I can only hope they 1 day accept medicaid again not only for me but all the other addicts and alcoholics who cant afford insurance to 1 day be able to receive treatment in the same manor I did.

I was a patient at serenity at summit from July 16th to August 13, 2025. I didn't know what to expect I flew from Fayetteville , north carolina and was picked up from the airport by one of the exceptional techs KAMAR Someone I never met before, but you wouldn't know it from our conversation. I told him I was hungry because they wouldn't let the plane land right away he Informed me not to worry that they had food for me as soon as we get to the facility. After I ate, I went to get a quick check-up.And I was soon meet by another tech and was taken to detox on the 3rd floor , he showed me my room , rm 6 and then took me out for a fresh air break , and then it was time for bed. The next morning, I was moved to the 2nd floor for rehab where I met some of the other staff members Amira, Tom ,Lori, who became my case manager, Regina, Dawn and Heber, to name a few, these people made my stay really pleasant I could go to them for anythig and as for the exceptional tecs Al Danett Destiny CHARLIE and little bit. I can't remember her real name. But that's what I called her a special shout out to Akeem for getting me safely to my next destination. I love you guys and we'll never forget you. ❤️ ♥️ 💓

Sunrise cherry hill was a godsend. The nurse Sydney is absolutely the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I went there over a year ago and and she remembered me and made sure my stay there was comfortable. Unfortunately I've stayed at quite a few other facilities and NEVER was treated with such respect and kindness that she treated me with. She deserves a raise lol! On the other hand..I made a very good friend in my time staying there..we kept in touch and we were both struggling. I was trying to be a good girlfriend and put my own health aside waiting waiting for him. I now know know that I need further assistance than just detox . He's not even. Being a decent human being/and/or being nice about it. I tried called the Sterling location 5 times where my friend is. She told me there is in IN FACT beds available but the person on the phone wasnt so friendly..almost demeaning. He said "just because there's beds available doesn't mean there's beds available". I was very confused...almost like he didn't want to help me save my life. And he was just annoyed to be answering the phone. He told me over and over in an annoyed and stern voice as I was in tears to call back at 9am. Im just lucky im not someone who is WAY more fragile and sensitive amd nothing terrible happened 🥺

North Jersey Recovery Center is a private drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation center in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. North Jersey Recovery Center treats adult clients with substance use disorder (SUD) by recognizing and healing the physical, mental, and spiritual harm it has caused. This is a clinical facility with luxury amenities. New Jersey
My journey to recovery did not begin with New Jersey Recovery Center (NJRC). I have struggled with addiction for many years and have been in and out of rehabs and IOPs. I have had both good and bad experiences, often with facilities promising services that never happened or leaving me in the dark about my own recovery plan. In January 2026, I was at my absolute worst and once again in the throes of addiction. As we know, addiction is progressive, and mine had progressed to a place that truly scared me. I had previously been in contact with a staff member from NJRC, and in what felt like my only moment of clarity, I told my husband, “Call NJRC.” From that day forward, they guided me every step of the way. NJRC helped guide me through detox and residential treatment and strongly encouraged me to continue into PHP. I was hesitant, but thankfully I trusted their recommendation. When I arrived, I immediately felt something different. NJRC treated me like a person—not a diagnosis or another client walking through the door. They took the time to know me, understand me, and make me feel like my recovery truly mattered. What makes NJRC so special is that they do what they say they are going to do. They provide weekly individual therapy—and it actually happens. Their peer-centered groups teach coping skills, encourage honest conversations, and provide tools that can actually be used outside of treatment. The staff genuinely care. They listen, they support you, they hold you accountable when you need it, and they celebrate your progress with you. I never felt like I was going through recovery alone. During my time with NJRC, I have formed meaningful friendships, strengthened my relationships with my family, regained my confidence, learned to set boundaries, and discovered my beliefs, values, and purpose. For so many years, I hid behind a mask. NJRC helped me realize that I don't have to anymore. They gave me a safe place to finally figure out who I am. Difficult things still happen, but today I handle them differently. I don't look for a drink anymore. I look for a tool. I feel today. I communicate today. I live life today. Today, I am 228 days sober, and there are not enough words to express my gratitude to NJRC. Every person there has played a part in helping me become the person I am today. They helped me rebuild relationships with my family, rediscover myself, believe in myself again, and understand that recovery isn't simply about not drinking—it's about learning how to live again, happy, joyous, and free. NJRC didn't just help me get sober. They helped me build a life that I want to stay sober for. I will forever be grateful, and I hope that one day I can give back and help someone else the way NJRC has helped me. With gratitude, Jodi B.

This place literally saved my life & that is not an exaggeration by any means. The “rehab” I was at before coming to NJRC seemed like it could have cared less if I lived, relapsed or died. I was in excruciating pain the entire time I was there and just kept getting worse. And I thought NJRC was going to be more of the same. But thank the good lord I was dead wrong. Everyone from the techs in the housing like Alex, Luis, etc.. to the people who run the center - Ritchie, Jeremy, Tommy, etc.. helped me to get well every single day… plus, my Therapist Rachel was a Godsend. She is like the sweetest person on the planet & helped get my life back on track…. to the group facilitators like Phil, Theresa, Jessica, Karen, etc.. who made each and everyday a learning experience.. to the house managers Sue & my man Kenny who is from Queens, NY like myself who made my stay there as comfortable as possible… not to mention people like Courtney, Kiyana, Phyllis(nutritionist), Dr. Cherrie Zapata who all helped in too many ways to count… I could go on & on… I highly recommend this place to anyone who is trying to better their life by giving up drugs & alcohol… God Bless NJRC!…(It would have been nice if someone from NJRC thanked me for my review..😏)

I am a spouse of an individual that just completed a 28 day inpatient treatment plan. To be honest I am not even sure how we ended up with this provider, however it ended up being a true blessing. Not only was my husband taken good care of, I received several calls from his clinician to provide updates regarding his status, but also them checking on how I was doing and asking if I had any questions/concerns. I was also given their contact numbers in case I needed to reach them at any point. My family feels very fortunate that our Husband/father ended up at this facility.

I'm writing this for the creative person who thinks rehab is gonna be all lectures and coping skills worksheets and compliance training...or new agey feel good enabling BS. (because I went through that at another place…and I’m a feisty, rebellious performer, who fell all the way to hell through my addiction.) Moving Mountains is an adventure based program. And that's not just "fun." that’s a major part of the treatment…hiking, skiing, ropes course…Healthy risks…Movement. self Mastery. Making something…learning that I can DO things that make me feel better…They teach you how to deal with crap on the deepest levels, to get it out. So like…in my case…there is less to want to escape. Easier to stay sober. Joy…peace…fun. Stress: life. Tools Sobriety doesn't have to be gray and grim. It can light up your brain as much as getting high did. I mean that…kinda literally. Skydiving…for real…if you do the work…it’s part of the program. At completion. It's not a "creative arts program." BUT: creative work is an option. For me it was a key. A Big key. I had no idea how much my creative shutdown and grief were feeding my addiction…really, almost no idea. I am a singer. And I saw people transform through singing (like me…), guitar, piano, making beats, DJing, poetry, dance, voice work...even building comedy routines. You could literally see someone's eyes and posture shift over days. The staff are Actually client centered. At Moving mountains, that means you're treated like a human being. Not a diagnosis and not a compliance project. They help you remember want you want, connect you to your dreams again. They don't “punish you into right thinking.” That’s still a very common approach, I’ve heard from so many people in recovery meetings. But there are boundaries and clear expectations...because that's what actually leads to an easier, fun life. I was not the easiest client. I had to learn to be patient and respectful…not just to others. To myself. It's also not 12 step only preaching club. Super strong recovery culture...but you're allowed to explore what works for you, (there's even a Zen teacher who comes!) The housing is for real beautiful and in beautiful communities. Not "nice for rehab." Actually nice. It's weird to miss rehab. Like a paradox. But I do. My time at Moving Mountains has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Every team member I met gave me positive energy. All counselors From OT "Over Time" Anthony. Great conversationalist to Daniel provoked though and discussion to Rob Genuine heart and motivational. To Danni. Really cared and listened. To Tyler who was so real. Nicole really was fantastic with Fmla. And Jamie really cares and has an ultimate presense of good. Brian was the lead and it was clear his team respected and trusted him. If you are completely burnt out and not sure what to do. Give these guys a call.. Putting my review in a nutshell,"my mother always told me to "fake it until you make it" and by becoming a rehabilitated human being at,Carnegie Hill Institute, again,I no longer have to fake it. And if there were anyone else I'd thank, besides the Lord, for seeking life' purpose,I thank the generosity of spirit and the way they come from love first and of in their successes at making sure I can regain the trust of others because they trust in me. And without gaining the trust of others,it takes away your will to live.

The reason I’m giving this place a 5-star review is because of the amazing people I met while I was staying there. First, I want to give a big shout-out to a few of the PCCs and staff members who truly made a difference. Stacy—thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and kindness. I truly hope you achieve everything you’re working toward. You would make an incredible counselor. The way you treated us with respect, compassion, and genuine care says so much about your work ethic and your character. Ash and Mike S - thank you for your patience and for always treating us with love, kindness, and respect. You made us feel like human beings, and that means more than you know. Stephan, Johnny, Gary, and Antwo—thank you for everything. The list of people I appreciate could honestly go on. Joe—you’re the man! Thank you for helping me even when you didn’t have to. And to my counselor, James—I’m truly grateful that our paths crossed. Thank you for your guidance and support. To anyone considering coming here: if you’re serious about getting help, staying focused on your goals, and working on your sobriety, you can absolutely succeed here. One thing I learned is that treating others with respect goes a long way. This isn’t a resort, so don’t expect a different meal every day or luxury accommodations. Like any program, there are some downsides, but for me, there were far more positives than negatives. I left with valuable lessons, support, and hope. At the end of the day, recovery starts with you and with the mindset you choose to have. Thank you to everyone who helped me during my stay. I truly appreciate everything you did, and I wish you all nothing but the best.

In these moments of challenge, we were so grateful to discover New Chapter . From the very first moment Chris was welcoming, empathetic and professional. He answered all our questions, showed us the around the areas that were accessible. The kindness , accountability and heart really made a difference for our son. They addressed his challenges on so many different levels and held his accountable but it was done with grace As a Christian we were appreciated the sessions where biblical principles were taught and implemented but you don’t need to be a person of faith . They even had uber pick up’s and drop offs on our work days . Our son is healthier and we’re better as a family thanks to New Chapter . Thank you Jesse , Mike, Tabby and team for you spirit amd work,

Not all Recovery or Rehabilitation Centers are created equal. BlueCrest is a special place where the counselors, clinicians, and the entire staff genuinely care about everyone’s recovery. The recommendations given to each client are specific to their needs and are built with purpose; out of love and care. The accommodations are very comfortable, but not luxurious. Just enough “no-frills” to feel the humility but also safe, clean, and makes you feel at home. Everyone cooks together and comes together as a community in the houses. The groups and content are engaging and can get quite deep; yet also contain the right amount of fun, relaxation, and meditation to sooth the soul. I highly recommend BlueCrest Recovery Center to anyone who is serious about recovery, and wants to stay sober indefinitely!

BlueCrest has been a great choice for my recovery journey. I can’t say enough about how structured and 12 step focused this program has been. The staff, counselors and support has been helpful, compassionate and nonjudgmental. I can tell everyone here has had my best interests at heart since day one. Mike in admissions really set the bar high for the rest of program, and it did not disappoint. My hope has returned, when 2 months ago I had none, and I have gotten my life back one day at a time.

I went to the ER because I was experiencing extreme vertigo and wasn’t sure what was happening. I was dropped at the door and tried to walk in myself but became very dizzy. Two healthcare workers immediately saw that I wasn’t ok and quickly got me a wheelchair. I was escorted to registration and in minutes I was taken in for a EKG. The tech brought me back to waiting area but was waved over to go right to triage station. I was then brought to a curtain type room and within 10 minutes a PA was there gathering all my information as to what happened along with all my symptoms. Within minutes again a nurse came to put in IV and the phlebotomist to draw blood. About 15 minutes later I was escorted to the CT waiting area and taken very quickly to get CTs done. After that I was taken back to CT waiting area and within minutes I was taken back to a curtain room where I was greeted by Dr Pai who gave me another exam and we discussed my results. This was my very first time going to Morristown Memorial Hospital ER and I have to say I was quite impressed. My entire stay was very efficient and every person I interacted with was nothing short of competent and caring. I was transferred to several different places very efficiently and every escort was very friendly and caring. I was back in my car going home in less than 2 1/2 hours. That is truly amazing! Thank you to All of the healthcare professionals!!!

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and technicians at Morristown Medical Center who took care of me during my recent nine-day stay following bypass surgery. Finding myself in a situation requiring heart surgery was scary, overwhelming, and painful. Entrusting your life into the hands of a medical team is a heavy thing, but nearly every single person I encountered went above and beyond to ensure I was well cared for, comfortable, and healing properly. Having stayed in hospitals before, I was struck by how hard this team works together. Despite the inherent chaos and fast pace of a major medical center—where it's easy to see how mistakes can happen—the overwhelming majority of the staff treated me with compassion, respect, and skill. However, I feel a strong obligation to highlight one specific incident shortly after my surgery that hospital management needs to investigate immediately. While I was in my room right after surgery, heavily medicated, semi-conscious, and extremely vulnerable, an older male technician entered alone to perform my daily EKG. Given the compromised state of patients who are fresh out of major surgery and heavily medicated, no technician should ever be left alone in a room with a semi-conscious or unconscious patient without a nurse present. Over the remaining eight days of my stay, I had daily EKGs performed by different technicians—all of whom were polite, respectful, caring, and professional. But this particular individual's behavior and the lack of supervision surrounding him was deeply concerning. I strongly urge Morristown Medical Center’s patient relations and risk management teams to review staffing policies and look into this technician's practices. Allowing unsupervised access to vulnerable, heavily medicated patients is a major liability risk and, more importantly, a safety concern for patients. Despite that singular, disturbing incident, I am truly grateful for the care I received at Morristown Medical Center and the dedicated medical team that helped save and rebuild my life. I hope to never find myself in this position again, but I remain immensely thankful to the many healthcare workers who cared for me with such dedication.
