In mid May 2025 I had a tumor removed from my left kidney by Dr Elsamra (who is great and I reviewed him separately). This is about the staff during my recovery.
They are fantastic !
Jannella, McKayla, Kim,Sue, Janet, Gloria and Slair are the names I have from the board in my room (#1150) . I'm sure I'm missing a few but everyone took great care of me. Due to the surgery I needed help for getting out of bed, walking and to even have water. Any time I rang the bell / buzzer someone promptly asked my need on the speaker and they came by shortly thereafter to help. Literally they were smiling and compassionate every time from 11:00 PM when I first woke up in the room to noontime when the hospital is quite busy. I am blessed to have been attended to so well by such a great group of professionals ! Thanh you all very much !

As a regular donor at RWJ Somerset, This time I decided to donate platelets. The process was fairly easy and took approximately one hour. Millie Started me off with the standard questionnaire, and then hooked me up to the platelet machine. She was absolutely Wonderful and kept checking on me and asking me if I needed anything snacks juice, water, etc. After a few minutes, the manager Cathy came in to see how everything was going with me and other people that were there donating blood. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming. After that, Dr. Stanford, the director of The lab and blood donation program came in and personally thanked everybody For donating. Thank you to the Staff at RWJ Somerset For making it a pleasant experience. REMEMBER ONE PINT DONATED SAVES UP TO THREE LIVES!!!!
