They went out of their way to make my Mom s extended visit comfortable. Mom appreciated some of the staff s humor and detailed explanations. My mother is legally blind and the staff went out of their way to help guide her with meals and walks with lots of detailed verbal cues. I never thought I would review a hospital but I had to do this one. I ve been going to ELIH sporadically since I ve lived in Greenport 20 years ago. And I ve had experiences ranging from bad to okay to good.Unfortunately, this morning, I had to go to the ER again at 3 AM- 9am. Every single staff member, Nurses, doctors, radiology, and reception, they all treated me amazingly. Of course it was a horrible time for me, but they all were nice and receptive and understanding. Normally, I do anything I can to get out of going, which I m sure is what everybody does, but I had to bite the bullet. Probably one of the only times I don t regret that I went.Truly, it was the best experience I ve ever had in the hospital. The ELIH staff deserves all the praise!!!

As with any treatment facility, your recovery depends on the work you put into it. My experience at Phoenix House was extremely helpful for me and overall was a positive experience. It is very easy to get distracted and focus on the downsides of the facility however I was taught (there) about changing my perspective and that made it easy for me to have acceptance and continue focusing on myself. I have been to many treatment centers in the past and have never had a counselor that cared or helped me as much as Michael Robinson did. The facility director Dave S. is great at what he does and from what I witnessed handled any/all issues fairly and promptly. Dave also ran groups which I found to be extremely informative and helpful. Special thanks to the chef Arthur who was extremely accommodating to my unique diet. An even bigger thank you to RSS Rob who in my opinion helped me just as much as Mike and Dave did. I will forever be grateful for my time spent at Phoenix House.

Was a patient here and than at Ronkonkoma years ago. I can't speak for how it is today but if it weren't for them I wouldn't be where I am today. If you don't want help you aren't going to be open to it so you can't fault the facility. But than again it's been about 15years since I was there so I don't know if it's still ran the same. I owe alot to the staff who was there when I was there. Especially londi.

My experience with Turnbridge was excellent. My 15 year old son first entered Woodbury and then the extensive care program in New Haven. In 6 months of rehab at Turnbridge they did a great job and today my son is with me in Argentina already returning to High School and continuing rehab with Argentine addiction specialists. I want to highlight 3 people, who in the order I mention them were very important for the emotional support and understanding of the situation I was going through. Great place to start your recovery journey. The staff made me feel at ease from the very first phone call. The grounds and housing is beautiful creating a relaxing environment. Everyone I met was welcoming and friendly, staff and other patients. I especially enjoyed my art therapy, but there are lots of different treatment options to explore which was great for me. Also I have mobility problems, but everyone was accommodating to make me as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend Wellbridge.

It was great until all the hiring freezes, then they expect veterans to get treated via referral in the community, which could be done better if the VA shared information with them. The care is amazing when they are not overworked and understaffed. They need more specialists and less bureaucratic paper pushers. Also the cafeteria food went downhill and isn't good enough to be charging $9/$10 for a turkey sandwich on white bread or two pieces of fish the size of my thumb. No one really likes that dry ass food anyway unless they are desperate.

Best clinic I ve been to. Clean, quiet, staff is amazing and go above and beyond. Especially Fran, she is so good at her job. Genuinely enjoy coming here and seeing them. My only thing is like to change is update the hours online and the answering service, they take. A little bit to get back to you bc the calls are forwarded first. But other than that I enjoy being a client here. Def. Recommend if you re in the New Haven area or Bridgeport.

It's very convenient to travel here, and the physical therapy is superior to the VAMC in Northport. There is ample parking close to the building.

Ive been going to this location for years. I have always had great service there. The lady in the lab is awesome! My primary care Doctor Kim is great as well! It is a closer drive for me rather than the long trip to Northport. Overall i am grateful for my VA medical benefits. Thanks!

Dental clinic I would say that it is the best I have attended all very friendly, I had the cleaning with Rosemary and it was great very understanding even though I was very nervous.I had an extraction doctor Vesali Meherana and it was the best experience I've had very understanding and good hand I didn't feel pain and everything was fast!

Waited over an hour in line for a Covid test on 12/23/21. Though the wait was long, the entire staff was amazing. From the security crew managing the line outside the building to the clinical folks conducting the test, they were all so very helpful, professional, and courteous. Thanks for your service!

Always had good care and staff are friendly. Only negative thing is they never answer thier phone. Called once while sitting in empty office and yet no one answers. Always goes to VA help line, just seems odd.

I was there approximately 10 year's ago and when i got there ,I had to get used to being there. But turned out that in a month, I started washing pot's in the kitchen to being the head cook at this facility. My time was most spent in the women's building where the main kitchen is located. This program is good for those who want it for themselves. The staff and residents loved the way I cooked. About 150 residents.
