I usually detest going to the ER room .. Maybe because it was the time of day but this time wasn’t bad at all. I was in so much pain .. I feel they treated me fast and with care .. The only issue was the person who was registering .. She seemed quite insensitive by talking very loud and rushing my answers expecting me to answer right away when it was obvious that I was in a lot of pain .. Everyone else was quite caring. It was at 11:00 am . This could be a factor in the smoothness. Thank you staff.

I am rating this place based on donating items. The staff was very grateful and helpful. There were men that were staying there that came out and helped to unload items from my truck. This place is so amazing they help so many people with food jobs and shelter. On Christmas they also have a dinner for your family and a raffle for a bike. So kids can have a chance to have a bike for Christmas under the tree. I don't know of anywhere else that does this for the kids in our community so we appreciate it so much.

This is the best place in the Triad to get help. The staff are super nice, the counselors are the best and I was treated with respect from day one. The rooms are very comfortable and we had fruit, cookies, coffee, purified water and even doughnuts. Cone Health Behavioral Health Center is a rehab center in Greensboro, North Carolina. It’s more than a rehab for addiction recovery. It’s also inpatient so you get an intensive level
I have seen so many negative reviews about this place. However, my experience during my son Yahki admission was truly a blessing and excellent. I have to say some of the customer service reps can be insensitive 😑 which is the first form of contract to get through to the nurses, Provider, or your love ones Care-Team. It first, there insensitiveness was annoying to me, but then, I began to look at things differently. There lack of insensitivity, give me a determination to show them how much I care about my son and his Mental health. And if this meant calling a 100 times until I got through to speak to his nurse or his provider, then I qould. Although, I did not call a hundred time, but I did called and show up at Cone Health Behavioral Hospital until I was able to speak to several nurses, staffs, a Doctor, (Provider), and the Manager who were more then caring and help during his time at the hospital. Thanks you all so very Much. May God continue to blessed your entire team for what you all do daily for our love ones. Special thanks to Agee, Tina, Elizabeth, Dr.P, Laura, Mike who goes by the name ( slick ), Ayesha, and several others that I have forgotten your names. Thanks so much for your prayers and for taking care of my Yahki. I appreciate all that your you all do. Thanks also to the customer service reps for teaching me that persistence and determination brings about positive results if I / we truly looking to seek a positive outcome in life.

I’m seeing a lot of bad reviews about this facility, but i wanted to share my experience; and maybe bring some things to light for people who are thinking about seeking help for their children here. I was admitted in the adolescent unit in march of 2024. I have severe anxiety, so i was terrified of being away from home and staying somewhere else. Little did i know i had absolutely nothing to be worried about. I got treated with a lot of respect here. The food was wonderful, the place was kept very clean, and everyone was very kind to me. The group felt very supportive of one another, and it was a great environment. The nurses were some of my favorite people, especially nurse sheila. She was very supportive of my personal situation at the time, she always made a point to ask me how i was doing and take a second to focus on me. Even during medicine, which is sort of fast paced for the nurses. There were some annoying parts at some points obviously, a certain nurse kept leaving our doors open all night for checks, and the light was bright in the hallway. that’s the worst thing i experienced here. It was really good for someone like me. Again, this is my personal experience in march of 2024. I don’t know how it has changed since, but this place and the people really left a mark on me. it was a great experience overall.

I have been a patient for many years and I really like Crossroads. I have a good counselor, the nurses are great and you can get in and out pretty fast since they started having three nurses every day. There are some things I dont like about it, but all in all, I have worked my program and have a very stable life, thanks to the methadone program. If you come in and quit using, do what you are asked to do and follow the rules, you will get takehomes in no time and actually not have to have everything revolve around the clinic. It works if you work it!!

First I want to say I went up there of my own free will, I had no court dates no probation nothing, and honestly if it wasn’t for my counselor Christine I would not have given this review!! She was the only in there that was actually understanding and would do anything to help you stay clean!! The director Les only cared about the rules no matter how out dated or ridiculous they were!! If it wasn’t for Christine helping me out and changing her schedule those rules would’ve cost me my job which Les seemed to not care about!! The other staff was very nice but you could tell they were tired of those out dated rules as well!!

If you are serious about your recovery and want a team of people to support you then this is an amazing place to help you get your life together. Most of the staff are in recovery themselves so they know all to well how real the struggles are. If you're not too serious about your recovery then they will still help push you towards sobriety but you get what you put into it (as in many things in life). I know this place has probably saved my life. More than once. I will forever be grateful and highly suggest Freedom House to anyone struggling with their own addiction and/or mental health issues.

I am a 2018 graduate, on May 18th I will be 2 years sober after being in addiction for 11 years. Before coming to Freedom House my children told my mom that they didn’t want to live with me anymore and so my mom took them firom me (Thank God!!). My life was useless and I was on a quick one way street to death!! My heart was soo heavy and I literally had no hope left - I felt so worthless and carried so much shame!! It makes me cry thinking about it - But Praise GOD!!! I have been redeemed and my life has been completely transformed in a way I cannot describe — Not only is the chain of addiction broken but the chains of shame and worthlessness are gone as well!!! I now have strong, growing relationship with my children and a job that allows me to take care of my kids independently! I can’t fully describe the amount of freedom I have received from Christ through Freedom House!! They were my only hope and boy did they come through!!! <3

Since my son receives therapy and medication management here, I’m here on a weekly basis. The main entrance is on the right side of the buildings. When you walk in, there is the main waiting room with the receptionist area to check in. There are a few books and magazines to dad while waiting. Children’s artwork decorate the walls in addition to the required documents that need to be posted. There is an additional waiting room in another straight to the back when you walk in. That is the best waiting room if you’re there for medication management, which is virtual. The receptionist, Jill, is super friendly! Wait times for scheduled appointments can vary. Overall, not bad.

I absolutely love my therapist. She has made it easy for me to open up to, which is usually pretty hard for me to do. I'm so very thankful for her.

My psychological testing was with Timothy Gordon. He is far and above what I expected to meet. As I have had lifelong mental health problems, and little solutions. Tim is an incredible communicator and observes an individual at their personal core with grace and speed. He expedites his services efficiently and always has a plan for you. Tim's ability to comprehend behavior in a complete and accurate report helps "Me" to understand myself and gives me hope that someone "Does" in fact hear my voice. Tim is the best and brightest in psychological understanding as he takes his own personal path with you. My sincerest graditude Tim.

I am so grateful to Insight for helping my son, and helping our whole family. Stephanie and Mike have changed our lives forever for the better. It’s a real gift to be relatable to young people and be able to guide them to a life of integrity. My son was completely lost before coming to Insight. He has been living a sober life and working a twelve step program and has a relationship with God. I can see that he is working through his issues and learning to deal with daily life as it is. Our family is changing and growing, and I see him for the brave person he is. He has a strong support system and plenty of sober friends to have fun with. The Insight Program is forever in my heart.

In light of a number of reviewers that have decided to detail their experience in ways that proclaim their victimhood, I'd like to preface my review by saying that the Insight Program is a voluntary program. Meaning that the recipient of the service must consent to any services provided and that he/she/they has the option to relieve themselves of said service at any given time. For any newcomers brought here by word of mouth, referral, or perhaps a desperate search for hope, I'd like to caution you from extracting truth from reviews that presume the contrary. You'll find a common theme in reviews such as these: unsubstantiated blame and an absolute shamelessness to be seen as the victim. While these words might appear to come from a place of bitterness and resentment, I assure you it's the opposite. Many of those reviewers, and their beneficiaries, represent some of my first friends when I was lucky enough to join the program. I was 18, trying my hand at college, struggling to maintain a romantic relationship, overwhelmed by life outside of home and pretending that taking Xanax and synthetic opiates for breakfast was normal (among other peculiar justifications). I had struggled with drugs and alcohol abuse prior to this, but I hadn't yet experienced loneliness and stress to this extent. Shortly after my second semester at school I overdosed and was sent to a behavioral health unit. My parents were as supportive and afraid as they were distraught. After deciding to return to Greensboro, my mom, the hero in this story, reached out to an old friend who was a parent involved in the parent group of the program. My first 2 months of IOP services were unbearable. I won't parrot my resentful friends and suggest it was because of the staff, the hours, the meetings, the suggestions or some form of unholy, sadistic indoctrination of cult-like ideology; my level of misery was in direct proportion to my unwillingness to take responsibility for the man I chose to be and the life I chose to create. The more it was "your" fault, the worse I felt. With that being said, not only do I understand the place from which the malice found in these negative reviews was born, I was another couple years of victimization and unwillingness to confront my reality from writing my own hate-filled review. Today I have 8 years sober, approaching 9. My experience with Insight has been absolutely wonderful in every way. It would be naïve to suggest that I was incapable of getting sober anywhere else, but from where I stand now, I have a very difficult time imagining anywhere better than the Insight Program. Here are a few things I'm lucky enough to have in my life today that I wouldn't have without my recovery. I have an absolutely incredible relationship with my parents that I thought was never possible (mostly thanks to the Parent Program at Insight). I laugh a lot. I have goals and aspirations. I have a group of friends that I would do anything for, and I know the feeling is mutual. I'm still learning how to budget... I haven't sincerely considered taking a drink or using a drug in a very, very long time. And I genuinely love my life today. However, I don't want to create the impression that this has been "easy" or that as soon as I got sober my problems melted away. I have plenty of feelings that I still respond poorly to, I have a host of character traits that aren't pretty when brought to the light of day, sometimes I let fear dictate my actions and I still need help. The quality of my recovery, and lack thereof, is 100% up to me and the results aren't without work. However, what's abundantly clear to me is that the work is worth it. I'm eternally grateful for all of the people at Insight who made my experience so wonderful.
