Westley Cain is our maintance man and he is so helpful and kind to the residents. They are great to fix problems in our units. Each Tuesday , Mr Cain go to kings gate and get the residents a plate . Ms. Hayward knocks on each door to give us a plate. They don't have to do this , but they are great and respectful to the residents. I live in the back and sitting on our deck and watching the birds is peaceful. Ms Hayward and Westley Cain work together to make Sierra Gardens one of the best apartment units to live. It is so peaceful to live here and I rate this complex the best among Apartment complexes.in Hamlet and Rockingham. Our secure doors into Sierra Apartments make this complex very safe. She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed. Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run. As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again. A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.". How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? I had some bumps along the way until I met Evie Dillard. She was so helpful to me by giving me extra resources to get ready to exit treatment. I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS. There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need. The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them. You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind! Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers. I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts. Christine, Crystn (sik). The therapy incorporates several modalities, including DBT, CBT, Somatic, and Art. The staff made learning skills accessible, engaging, and actually interesting. I appreciated being challenged and I learned skills I hope to keep for life. Working with the somatic therapist they have at Pasadena was beyond amazing. A once in a lifetime experience that I could not have thought to even ask for. I loved the art therapy as well. There is also processing time two-three times a week with the group, and therapists are always available if you need extra one on one support. I really appreciated that unlike other places, Pasadena does not let any one patient dominate the entire processing time. Staff makes sure that everyone who wants to share has equal time and space, that no triggering details are discussed, and that it is supportive without going on forever or taking time away from skill learning or other groups. Felicia is an incredible therapist. She is knowledgeable, supportive, and great at creating a group environment that feels both safe and accountable. She gives you practical tools and skills while also knowing how to get the group engaged and talking. Gianni was also always welcoming and helpful at the front desk. I really appreciated having an evening option that works for people with 9-to-5 jobs. My only suggestion would be to better accommodate evening participants with dinner or more substantial snack options, similar to the daytime programs. After a full workday, it’s a big commitment to attend several hours of programming, and having food available would make it easier to stay focused and present.
