4 stars for detox, 1 for woman's supportive housing. Alot of people are there because they have to be, or they have no place else to go, so it's very chaotic. Not a healthy environment for recovery, in my opinion. The gossip around campus is that the higher ups are only about the money, but I'm not sure if that's true. The counselors are great, but there is not enough of them. Two of the nighttime RA's were awful, gossipy, lazy, cold, and unprofessional.

I have a bit of a story to tell but I want to start it by saying I found Applegate recovery by accident. It was the single best accident of my life I was sober or clean whichever you use and had been since 2016 when I started seeing Applegate in 2018. This place performs miracles. I am living proof. I have a life that I can take part in and enjoy now and Applegate recovery is why I have that luxury. If you're thinking about a place please just call, I am so glad I did. These people truly care about every single patient they know you by name they know your backstory they don't forget your backstory and I will say that the best change I've seen over the years started with Applegate and that is it is a forgiving program that works. Outstanding nursing staff. Really can't elaborate enough about how great they were. Moreover, the actual care and treatment were excellent.
I don't think I saw my assigned doctor a single time during my 3 day stay, but the nursing staff made sure I was in good hands and felt safe.
Decent food considering it's a hospital, although they quite literally got every single meal wrong to varying degrees. For instance, one order had 8 items on it, and only 1 was correct.
The showers are awful and extremely cold.

The recent renovations have turned an already very special home into a beautiful place to live while beginning a new life in sobriety. Please know you literally changed my life several years ago and I wanted to thank you. I moved to this town and had been suffering for 1.5 years because the doc I had refused to change my med that wasn't working. The first visit your docs changed up the med and in 2 weeks I was no longer suffering. So Thank you for caring enough to try something different. I suffered unnecessarily for a year and a half...it's difficult to just find a new doc when you are suffering terrible. Moving to GH town and Charak saved me. When docs don't listen or work to find a solution it's difficult but go somewhere else. Advocate for yourself because 1.5 years of suffering that obviously was not necessary is IMHO criminal. I wish someone would have helped me get a different doc or had told me to keep trying different docs til I found one that cared. Thank you GH office for giving me my life back!

They have doctors and case management, they are getting my son's mother in and helping her where no one else could for months she's even missed an appointment and they still got her in right away, she is an extreme case, but I've never seen someone go so far to help somebody, and I would recommend them to anybody it reminds me of what the Nord center used to be like 20 years ago.

They transport my daughter daily to a adult center. They are so efficient, they contact me nightly to let me know who is picking her up and what time they will be arriving. The drivers will either text or call me 10 minutes ahead to be ready for pickup. Great staff they have, they go beyond the call if duty. My daughter thinks Paul and Leon are the best.

I'm getting deeper into my recovery here they're very helpful with programs and avenues. I couldn't be happier with their care today I'm grateful to completed my previous programs at landmark and legends. They all serve a purpose and I say today it's about the willingness to obtain a sponsor, home group, multiple phone numbers and multiple sponsorship. Build relationships with others in the program because it is a "WE" PROGRAM. I see so much negativity on here, I realize that most have never read the chapter "working with others" and they have no gratitude. Y-Haven keep doing what your doing. It's minor things wrong with the place, but overall great program and thank you for keeping the doors open for me and others. I have heat, water, food, safe place, meetings around me. For others coming into the program of recovery don't look for the negatives, look for ppl who want their recovery like yourself and stick with those ppl. Thanks for the opportunity

Personally, I loved my experience at Matt Talbot for women. Between the food that was good for a treatment center that is just there to get you back on your feet and the lovely RA’s I felt welcomed and at a comfortable place to restart my life. I believe people don’t realize that once you bring yourself into a treatment center you’re giving your life over to the care of people that are just there to help you get sober, but at Matt Talbot they do so much more than that. I got a sense of family friendship and peer support. I want to give a special shout out to the RA’s Ms.Shannon, Ms.Lacie, Ms.Robyn, Ms.Arnetha, Ms.Ashely, Mr.Jerry, Ms.Gloria and more. No matter what time it was, they were there for me when I wanted or Needed something. If it was someone to talk to when I was feeling down or just a pen to write in my journal if it was a volleyball game to play outside or to listen to music on the speaker, they did it with a smile on their face and no hesitation. Not only were the RA’s Delightful And like a family to me, the counselors and group facilitators were also amazing. To name a few Ms.Dorlene was one of the best people to do groups with, my counselor Ms.Jill Was very supportive and a great listener. Ms.Liandre was also great with her groups and a very strong woman who was fair to everyone and gave us candy. Ms.Erin I didn’t work with personally, but she did a good group with Ms.Jill. Same with Mr.Charlie I didn’t personally work with him but he did a good group and was fun to be around. Long story short if your looking for help to get sober In a clean environment with a sense of family And supportMatt Talbot is the place to go.

It was too notch care & its a good place to start your life over & the food was catered/great.. It seems to operate within the bounds of good decent Christian values. I been to a luxury treatment center in Florida & Matt Talbot was even better in multiple ways... I asked a judge to send me there because I said I would leave CBCF whoch is a sham... It's really hot or miss if you use the family center for residents. I had had disappointment early on and then when I went back I got a great doctor who became my PCP for the next 9 months. I have come so far in my journey to better health bc of her yet bc it's a residency program she finished her residency and left a month ago and I have yet to meet my new PCP. I miss my old PCP already as the new one who I've only spoken with through mychart briefly doesn't have a grip on everything we had been doing and the progress we have made. However if you need to get in quickly this place is great and most of the doctors and nurses really seem to care. I am disappointed today though because I had labs scheduled and showed up after work since all of their Google pages stay the lab here is open from 8-8 but if you click on their actual page it says 7-5:30. The clinic would need to update that with Google. Hopefully I will like my new PCP and she will do what's necessary to get my insane labs under control.

I participated in the McIntyre Center's Driver Intervention Program (DIP) recently. The three-day program was directed by a professional rehabilitation specialist, Bill, who was direct, empathetic, and helpful. I was in a class of about thirty others who were found guilty of traffic offenses involving alcohol or drugs. Luckily, none of us were involved in incidents involving fatalities or serious injuries; on the other hand, all of us made serious mistakes -- and that is where Bill's judgment ended -- we made mistakes, we were not pariahs or "bad" people. Featured speakers included an attorney, a high-risk auto-insurance expert, and others who were previously in similar circumstances to what all of us in the program are facing. The DIP was eye-opening and I am grateful to have taken part. Lastly, the accommodations were excellent. - BK
