My stay at The Bluffs in Ohio was truly life-changing. When I first arrived, I was skeptical — I had never been to treatment before and didn’t know what to expect. But from the start, the staff checked on me constantly and made me feel cared for. What I appreciated most is that The Bluffs treats you like an adult. They’re not overbearing or “up your tail” like I’ve heard about other places. You’re given space to grow, reflect, and take ownership of your recovery.
The staff was second to none — caseworkers, therapists, nurses, RCs — all genuinely committed to helping people turn their lives around. Sure, there were one or two with a rough day here and there, but 99% of them were there to make a difference. What really stood out was that many of them are in recovery themselves. They’re not just quoting from textbooks — they’ve lived it, they understand it, and they’re living proof that recovery works.
The amenities made it even better: a pool, gym, cornhole, basketball, art activities, beautiful lake views, and hikes. It’s the perfect place to heal and reconnect with yourself. The most important thing I learned is that this program is what you make of it. You’ll get out of it exactly what you put in.
The people I met there became like family. We started Bible studies, encouraged each other, laughed, cried, and grew together. We went through trials and triumphs side by side. As the Big Book says — “If you want what we have and are willing to go to any lengths to get it,” this is the place for you.
After my stay at The Bluffs, my entire perspective on life, myself, and my relationships changed. I now have the coping skills and foundation to handle whatever comes my way. I will forever be grateful — to Pastor Mike, Dave, and so many others whose names I could list for hours.

This is a wonderful facility! The staff was incredible, since most employees had their own experiences with addiction, wether they themselves were recovered or knew someone who struggled with addiction. Everyone was very personable and made my time at the Bluffs comfortable, even enjoyable which I never would’ve imagined myself thinking before coming. I was very nervous coming in, but I’m glad I chose The Bluffs my first time in an inpatient facility.

This place has been a safe space and staple in my life since around 13 years of age. In my honest opinon they focus more on Family unity and comunication, but I have had a lot of help with PTSD and self-esteem as well as assertivness and anger issues. Things seemed to run more smoothly when I was a child perhaps that is perception or changing of the times? Either way, that is something I would like to return and will myself work on. The atmosphere is very zen compared to before their remodel, the staff is still very friendly to me and/or professional, when problems have accured I have to be the ONE that is reminding them there is a problem, which is fair. I have went a few years inbetween treatments and always been honest with them and they have never done me dirty.

What a blessing it was to come across Operation 6:12! I came through the program in 2017 and graduated. I’ve been to multiple rehabs before and one big difference was the fact that this one brings God into the healing process. After graduation you still have the opportunity to give back and speak life into the guys that are in the program. If it wasn’t for Operation 6:12 teaching me what a close relationship with God is all about I’d still be wrapped in the chains of addiction.

Arrow passage was exactly what I needed being an alcoholic of 35 years. I was admitted into the PHP program which was amazing for my treatment, I was ready to get past the weight of the alcohol destroying everything that I stood for and loved. The counselors, Thomas, Heidi, Bree, Danielle E., Nautica and Joe all made sure that we were actively engaged and understood what our purpose is. I was assigned with my counselor Sam, she is my recovery angel. Sam is all about her clients and challenges them to not only achieve their sobriety but to maintain a lifestyle they can be proud of. She was straight forward, no nonsense, direct but also a compassionate person who listened and guided my treatment with a very clear path. Sam is the ultimate asset for Arrow Passage and compliments her peers very well. I learned honesty is a nonnegotiable virtue and is not waiverable in recovery, so I’ll say this. Everyone on the third floor is incredible !!!!! From therapy to legal advice they go above and beyond to help - I had a very difficult time in my life and was left with NOTHING - received therapy and the advocates attempted court with me since I had nobody and I simply needed someone in my corner.
The second floor on the other hand isn’t really kind and act more like a bother when you have questions.

I'm positive this place saved my life. They have the best staff in the world. You can't find a more caring staff any place. They go above and beyond what is required of them. I learned so much here in just the short 45 days I was here. I have over a year of sobriety, that's something I hadn't achieved in over 20 years. Highly recommend this place!!

I have been going to the Akron VA for 4 years now. I have had nothing but amazing experiences from them. They really care about each and every single veteran that walks in those doors. I live 35 minutes from the clinic but its worth the drive. I would choose the Akron VA over the Canton VA any day.

Spero Health understands!! They will pick you up and guide you out of the dark place that you are in. They will listen without judgment and you will quickly realize that they are not just employees. i don’t normally like the VA, but best VA service i’ve ever had. first blood work appointment and they allowed me to be seen for something that came up on the fly. asked for a benefits book, and was given someone’s personal pamphlet. was taken aback.

I have been going here for 8years and never had an issue and if I ever did the staff where there to help me. Comquest saved my life and I would recommend it to anyone! When getting help there are certian things you have to do and sometimes they are not comfortable for you. With medications i have never had one issue, the doctors are NOT quick to get you off, they always have told me whenever your comfortable, I told them I will be on this for life, they told me no problem. Thank god for this program cause it gave me, my life back and I am able to enjoy my son and wife and have a family and build back what addiction took from me and conquest and its staff where the people there for me.
