I was here for almost a month earlier this year and my overall experience was very poor. I spoke to the therapist, Dr. Bull, one time for no more than 10 minutes when I first got there, and then never again even when requested multiple times (and even though they claim to offer therapy). I have never been on medication in my life and they had me on so many different types of medication (without me even talking to a doctor/psychiatrist) I was overly drugged the entire time I could barely function. On top of that changes to medication was made almost daily without any warning/explanation. Giving you no time to adjust to the new meds/dosage. The environment was very disorganized and the staff was very unprofessional and didn’t seem to be trained for any scenario/task whatsoever. It felt like they just hired a bunch of random volunteers to run the place. Basic questions/concerns about my care/care team, or just basic daily needs were disregarded and ignored most of the time. They were more focused on control than anything. Rules, whether or not you had access to basic items, and daily structure changed depending on who was working and their mood. I understand that places like this usually aren’t a comfortable setting but the lack of structure and professionalism made it unnecessarily overwhelming. Please do better and actually help people like you claim you want to do.

A family member recently completed the recovery program at Country Road Recovery Center, and I cannot say enough good things about them. He had dealt with addiction for many years. In terms of being in the program, he recently said "It was the best things I've ever done and I wish I had done it sooner". When he completed the program, they helped him with placement in a sober living house and arranged for his attendance in an intensive outpatient program. They care about their patients. Our family highly recommends Country Road for addiction treatment.

This was probably one of the best places I went to. I was really struggling with mental health issues and other problems and they really made me feel safe and validated. We got to see and visit our parents on the weekends and they had a vending machine so they could bring us snacks. Our parents could bring us bedding and shower products. We got to wear our own clothes and shoes. We had groups and lessons we did everyday and we're able to go outside most of time and play basketball. The food wasn't too bad and was mostly like school food and on holidays we got really good food and the staff would bring in the food they made which was really good. They really helped me when I was struggling and the staff and people I met along the way were so nice to me. They really outdid themselves and understood that we're just kids struggling and trying to better ourselves. I was able to go on pass and visit my family for a day outside of the place which was nice because I hadn't seen them in a long time. The groups and lessons they taught us really helped me be able to ground myself and cope a lot better than before. Ms. Mary really helped me with my issues and was able to get me out of there in a month. This place is one of the better mental hospitals and if your going to send your kid to one you should look at your options and this one would probably be the best choice to choose from.

Valley Hope has changed my life. I went from isolation in a motel room doing drugs, to being a productive citizen. I’ve been sober 54 days today and a huge part is because of Valley Hope. Sincerely thankful for all of the staff, from the nurses, to the kitchen to the custodial; everyone cares and gave me hope! Attending the Valley was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This review is for the adult unit. My stay here was an overwhelmingly positive experience. I was treated respectfully by staff the whole time, and came away with useful, practical tools to improve my mental health going forward. A few of the staff are absolutely exceptional and it's clear they were put on earth to do this job- Mr. Tracy, Ms. Melissa, Mr. Dan, and Ms. Dee Dee included. I received just as much help from the other patients as well, many of whom were caring and empathetic. It will be a great source of comfort in the future to know that this place is available should I ever need help again, I would not hesitate to go back. With that being said, your stay is absolutely what you make of it- to be truly successful you need to be proactive and actively participate in your own recovery.

We tried over 50 facilities for this patient and Brookhaven is the only one who could treat brain injury, mental health issues AND was willing to work with Medicaid. The case manager was very helpful and caring. Unfortunately Medicaid would not fund but I’m so grateful for the help!

I took my grandson H S & K today for counciling. He has some anger issues, responsibility problems and a few other personality quirks (normal teenager) that has gotten him into trouble.
This was his 2nd visit and so far he seems to be okay with it. I don't get to go with him but I understand that. I believe his parents are on the right track.

I graduated on June 18th 2025. Yes the program is tough & many don't understand the process of all the rules but sometimes tough love and structure is needed. The staff are amazing people who really do care. They represent love and you see God working through them to help all the ladies! It's not an easy job or calling but God uses them to transform life's. Most of these life's are in some type of trouble or turmoil! And Freedom House helped me set my focus back to where it needed to be & relieved me of my troubles! So thank you all & I love you all for everything you've done & are still doing!

I came into the program completely defeated I was very bad on drugs with no hope and just empty inside I knew I had to change or I was going to die or be in prison and never be apart of my kids life. Since being at Freedom House I’m no longer bound by addiction and I’m able to be a positive safe mom for my children and since completing the program I stayed to serve at Freedom House as an intern and God has truly changed my life and my destination here! This program is the best place if you want to truly be set free! ✝️

I was a student at Freedom House almost 5 years ago , and I returned to do restoration after completion. Freedom House saved my life. The Holy Spirit is in that house. There is peace unspeakable there and true love from the staff. I learned how to become a women after God's own heart while I was there. I will never forget my time at Freedom House Adult and Teen Challenge.

They are always quick to help with any issues rather issues transportation or payments even mental health services. I have been fortunate to have a great therapist to help me work through my problems and hold me accountable. With Thanksgiving coming up, it made me think about last year.How they took their own time and money to make a dinner for all the patients. I've been to the location on Harvard. It's good for what it is. If you're in crisis, or you have an addiction issue go to Harvard Avenue. If you are dual diagnosis or you have just mental health I 110% recommend this location. Everybody here is absolutely wonderful. However, I don't have children so I cannot attest to a family going here. However, if you are just an adult and you are married without children or your children are grown. Go here, it is absolutely wonderful. There's an intake coordinator named Marianne. She is great! I went there today. I've been having a very hard time the last couple of weeks with my mental health. I used to abuse substances and I haven't in almost 4 years but I've been having a very hard time recently with mental health and they got me through it the last couple of days. I might have have ended up in the psych ward for the first time in many years if it wasn't for this place. So again I cannot attest to the children part of their title. But as far as families. They are solid at this place. They care.

I graduated on June 18th 2025. Yes the program is tough & many don't understand the process of all the rules but sometimes tough love and structure is needed. The staff are amazing people who really do care. They represent love and you see God working through them to help all the ladies! It's not an easy job or calling but God uses them to transform life's. Most of these life's are in some type of trouble or turmoil! And Freedom House helped me set my focus back to where it needed to be & relieved me of my troubles! So thank you all & I love you all for everything you've done & are still doing!

We took our toddler son here to see Dr. Hutchison. We were INSANELY impressed. The facility was child friendly from the moment you walked in the door. From the waiting room, to the hallways, and even in the private room. There were multiple different types of toys, books, and puzzles. The rooms were decorated for a child to learn and play in, while also being very clean and comfortable for parents. Amazing equipment and even a pediatric style table, so you don’t have to worry about your kiddo rolling off a tall table. We have LOVED seeing Dr. Hutchison since our little one was born, but wow, this move to the PFC has showed how bright she can really shine as a doctor, and a human! She’s a parent. She’s gets it. On top of it all she is insanely smart and trustworthy. She even gave my little one a coin to get a prize and complimented his behavior, but we all know that facility was designed to help children thrive. Love Dr. Herring, Seth, nurses and staff. They sent my referral fast to my orthopedic surgeon. Needed to make another appointment to see Dr. Herring and the her nurse along with the front desk girls were so nice and understanding. I go and see them next week!!

The staff at this location genuinely care about your healing process. They cater your care to your specific needs in both group and private one on one sessions. You can let them know daily about subjects you would like to discuss in future groups. You assess your self daily so you and the staff can track your progress. Aimee, Valencia Christina and Ali are excellent in each of their specific areas of expertise. Then there is Dr. Bobby who is highly skilled in this field as well.

I love that place. It's expensive, but so is drug addiction. We need more places like that in the river valley. I don't understand why we don't have them. If you were like me and looking for a miracle this is the place. If you want your sobriety you have to try. The staff there is super nice and willing to help you in any way they can.
