All of the staff there is helpful and as friendly as you are. It is a bit slow when trying to get referrals and appointments to outside practitioners and other VA centers for specialist and coronary tests.

Thank you PRC, I have 402 days clean and sober today because of the excellent treatment that I received from the entire staff. I got the help from Chris my therapist to work on more personal issues with alcohol drugs and mental illness. He also helped me with my family to. I saw a psychiatrist and a doctor. My Experience here is wonderful.I know that the staff cares .. I have gotten a job while here . And I am working on my recovery . The tools you learn while here can take you far. The staff are also great.They keep you busy working on your self. The house managers are real. They don't allow you to go by the wayside. You will be held accountable. If you are working the program of recovery whether mental or SUD , trust me you will see the growth . Those staff who stood out , are all of them ..They go above and beyond to make sure you accomplish your goals. So I give them a Five stars . Cause they are very compassionate. You gotta come here wit a open mind . Liz Yoga groups and Sam art therapy are great. Equine with Ms Cat is therapeutic. Ms Jen Grief group with the candy and heartfelt shares are awesome. The rekie class is flawless. Mary and Megan see to it that we are provided with things to do. Weather it's Softball league ,Gym Passes to work out . Sheile the intake assistant is real as they come . Olivia is a joy to communicate with. And Luke, Neil , and Reggie , Sarah and Timber are all that ... I can’t say enough good things about the VA Hospital in Wilmington, DE, and the care they provided to my stepdad. From the moment he received treatment, the staff showed genuine compassion, patience, and professionalism. They treated him with dignity and respect and made sure he felt cared for every step of the way.
Our family truly appreciated the time, attention, and kindness shown by the doctors, nurses, and entire staff. It meant a lot to know that my stepdad was in the hands of people who genuinely cared about his well-being.

I've been driving my father here, several times a year, for quite some time now.
Staff is always welcoming, the doctors, in any field, always speak with my father like they've been friends for years & making sure he knows exactly what to expect before, during & after his procedure/surgery.
Athough it's a hike from the Atlantic City area, the doctors & staff make the drive worth it every single time. I'm actually here now & although there's a bit of a wait, it's still comforting knowing my father will be in good hands.

Earlier today I realized I was out of medication while traveling. This VA hospital got me exactly what I needed. It took a little time because their travel liaison was out of office so I had to go to their ER, and they were on a different system than my home VA, but I really appreciated their dillagence. Literally saved my brain from imploding on itself and were so patient!

I signed up for outpatient treatment and the staff was very friendly very helpful and my therapistMr. Derek) a good dude, very understanding never looked down on me because of my alcohol and powdered cocaine addiction. Unfortunately, my addictions got the best of me and I relapsed and didn't return.I was so ashamed of myself I didn't want to show my face and went back to boozing and now thankfully I'm finally getting help that I need. I was admitted to Jefferson Hospital suffering from severe alcohol withdrawal syndrome, borderline experiencing auditory hallucinations. I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck.

This was my first (and God-willing, my only rehabilitation Center) and I could not have been more blessed that it was. EVERYTHING was amazing..!! The facility, the staff, the groups, the attentiveness, and most importantly: the care. They truly have angels working in that facility. The bathroom and rooms (the entire place) is impeccable. Howard, Edwin, Jenny, and Sofia do an amazing job at keeping things pristine.
The food is incredible, the kitchen was understaffed while I was there. But we were never lacking anything AND I think I only had the same meal less than twice while I stayed there ( full week of boarding and 30 days in residential). Maybe we missed ice cream for a day or two.. but we could live without it (I gained 10 lbs of weight - HEALTHY weight *cough*- my first week in detox the food was so good)
I had an amazing therapist, Erika. She is a straight shooter, something that a lot of us need to have in these times; where more often than not, we have been lying not only to those around us but to ourselves. However, all the therapist are of the same caliber.. Leigh Ann, Tiffany, Taylor, Michael (he’s another no BS type of therapist and says it how it is, yet in touch with his empathy), Brittany, and Caitlyn. Tiffany and Caitlyn also are the ones involved with running the Trauma Group (if you are interested in that part of recovery). They will more often than not meet you were you are a push you further than you think they can.
The BHT’s are also amazing, and are there to help you.. The trifecta of Kevin’s (there are three and all are amazing! - must be the name 😅). But Kevin, the head of the BHT’s is just a powerhouse that gets it done, then there is Big Kev (who I believe is reaching his 27th year in sobriety at the time I am writing this review) and Afro Kev, which is just a man that works with his heart (and making him laugh just brightened my day). And all the other BHTS (Alex, Aliya, Asyiah, Nala, V) , they really work with empathy at the forefront. There was only one that acted like he had worked at a Correction’s facility before and isn’t obviously in recovery and acts like it, he goes by “Dom”; which I find fitting. (Was not thinking of adding this on the review, but it’s a review; MY review.)
You cannot forget the heart of your medical recovery, the nurses and doctors. Raven was my admitting nurse (one of the last people to see me drunk 😅) was a sweet sweet soul - they all are- . But you had amazing nurses at all times. Gina, Shadia, Ms. Laury, Matt, Phil and Taysha to name a few that stick out in my mind. You are in good hands with them. The doctors were also working tirelessly to get you prescriptions. I got taken care of by Dr. chase and he put in a script for me for a foot cream that I needed. And the supervisors were incredible as well, Melissa and Jenn were phenomenal. They were always super kind and you can tell that they are extremely caring above all! Also, the CEO Heather is amazing, very down to earth and she is the one that ensures that things continue running flawlessly from the top.
And you can’t forget the amazing Peer recovery Specialists, and your recreational and SMART recovery facilitator. Ty and Matt are the peer recovery specialists and they do an AMAZING JOB. Always wearing their heart on their sleeves and will always lend a ear and guide you if you need guidance. And Carolyn, that woman is just so special to me, she does this job because she loves it and you can feel the love behind her work (and her words). She is the perfect person to introduce you to SMART recovery and to bring you activities to do during your Rec time. She got me into diamond painting!
Anyway, I will close off by saying: choosing Recovery village might be the easiest thing you have to do in your recovery! God be with you!

433 days ago I walked into this treatment center scared nervous, but ultimately I had a goal. This place was welcoming. The staff was nice, respectful and intelligent, very compassionate, and patient also, The cooks the counselor’s The Doctors, the day-to-day staff even the janitors were all nice and helpful and respectful. Anyway, the place was always clean. I was always respected. I was able to get the help and treatment that I needed and after let’s say about 25 days day, I was discharged with a treatment plan also with numbers and addresses that I might need help with outside of the treatment center. My appointments was set for me before I left making it Easier for me when I got home I thank everyone there

Food was alright. Accommodated the fact I didn’t eat pork or seafood. Beds are very uncomfortable, but it’s rehab. Most staff were great! If severe get you to the hospital in a timely manner. Had vending machines for snacks and cigarettes.

My review is in regards to the ER here. We arrived around midnight, I had quite the scare. I have never visited a VA facility so my inprocessing/check in took a little long but I was patient and they stayed in communication throughout the process while constantly apologizing for the wait, which I really didn't mind - I never expect to be immediately seen at any ER lol.
Once I was checked in, everybody I dealt with from the nurses to the doctor to the person that conducted my CT scan were so warm and comforting through my issues. I felt instant relief once I was in my room dealing with the medical staff.
I can not stress enough how silly I feel ever feeling hesitant of visiting this facility. I have never been treated so well by medical staff. VA facilities have had a stigma over the years but I can not stress enough how wonderful of an experience I had once I was I checked in.

Was in there Back in 2003, around before Christmas. Place was beautiful and so surreal and peaceful... Helped me appreciate life Can be beautiful to just look at soberly. Psyhs. Good too. Food was awesome too. They even made me hand poured flapjacks for breakfast. And sausage 😋 I am currently Sober thanks to A lot from MALVERN. I HOPE TO REVISIT IT SOMEDAY SOON JUST FOR A GROUP OPEN MEETING 🙏 🙏 🙏
