Embark Behavioral Health (EBH) in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, is a private, outpatient mental health treatment center that’s dedicated to helping adolescents overcome behavioral health challenges. Skeptical? Yes, so were we. We have had the unfortunate opportunity to put our teenager in one of those 'other' PHP places that actually made her worse or not help at all. I came here - just like you - curious and helpless. Embark has a delightful 'home like' feeling not that cold hospital hardness feeling. They have an inviting atmosphere as well as the staff. The staff all knew how to approach our teen and work with her. Medicate her correctly after many questions (again - I was skeptic) but happy to help and answer anything we asked. With Embark, there was a light at the end of the tunnel. A breakthrough if you will. Their PHP was educational with the non-hospital feeling. Our teen will still have their issues, and bad days as we all do. But - it will be easier to face with confidence. You won't be sorry.

Our family is incredibly grateful for the care and support our daughter received through the PHP/IOP program. From the very beginning, we felt a sense of trust in every staff member we encountered—they met our daughter exactly where she was, with compassion, patience, and understanding. The environment was safe, accepting, and truly conducive to healing. Not only did our daughter gain valuable tools that she’ll carry with her into the future, but we as a family felt supported every step of the way. The program’s commitment to family engagement made a meaningful difference, helping us stay involved and informed throughout her journey. Even as she transitioned out of PHP and IOP, the team was there to guide us through next steps and ensure continuity of care. We can’t thank them enough for walking alongside us during such a vulnerable time. Highly recommend to any family seeking thoughtful, comprehensive support.

Embark helped our son out of a dark place. He felt supported and safe to explore his feelings and said that it helped to know that he wasn't alone. We would recommend this program to anyone with similar struggles.

By far the best staff who cares for everyone that comes through the program . Still allows smoking cigarettes and you can purchase them in the vending machines . When I needed help I would come to malvern king rd and also willow groove . If you want to get your life back on track please consider this place !!!!

I recently completed treatment at malvern (king road location) the facility is decent , they seem to keep it very clean and so do most of the patients . I gave a solid 4 stars because of these factors: the grounds are nice they provide a decent sized walking trailer , they have outdoor games and activities that everyone who is able can get involved, they have decent sitting areas . The food was okay, some days the meal choices were odd, like grilled cheese and Italian wedding soup for lunch then burgers with tomato soup for dinner , alas it was still tasty. The staff were great ,they all seemed to actually give a damn , and I cant tell you how many positive things they say throughout the day.( Lynnwood, doreen,Justin, Evan, Katie, Kristie, Jen, Matt, Charles, Shaun) my small list of people who made my stay worth while . Along with my counselor Maddie putting in the extra 10 percent to make me comfortable during my time there. The negative factors, there isn't much curriculum, I think the patients would benefit from more book work , I have done tc program in state prison and while there was a lot of book work it helped me greatly understand myself more and learn how to practice healthy coping skills and positive self talk , even how to adjust my core beliefs. All that from having to do some book work . In malvern most of the groups are just open floor discussions, not much is done to help people change the negative self talk they impose , or better yet give them a solution to there problem . I have several years sober before I relapsed and I would often re read my books from TC. SO a more structured tc like programming there may be very beneficial. Further more there is a lot of favoritism going on within the facility which seems to cause push back with patients and there is also alot of fornication taking place which is often lot ho several times before the individuals are removed from the program. Maybe using the advantage of several facilities, and further separation by age would be best. It seems the younger individuals are more interested in the sex acts then the older ones. But all in all the place wasnt bad id love to apply for a job there to also help people and even help make the place better one day . My advice is if you go , your small group is the best group to share in . -Zach

This place was great for me and I think it would be great for anyone who does it for the right reasons. They say we'll find whatever we're looking for and if you're looking for a good environment for treatment this is the place for you. The clinical staff was great. My therapist challenged me and I grew from it. The techs were hit and miss but anywhere I went I feel like its the same. When ppl care about their jobs and put their hearts in it, it really does make a difference in the lives of those struggling. The team at Recovery Village cared enough to do whatever they could to accommodate anyone and everyone. If you want recovery you have to work at it and this place provides the tools to make it just a little bit easier to accomplish. Thank you for myself and those you helped, it truly does make a difference

I am pleased to give this 5-star review of MRC. I attended PHP and IOP, and had individual counseling twice a week. The counselors are excellent. They encourage a lot of participation in the groups. The topics are relevant to recovery- stress management, 12 steps, nutrition, body-mind connection, gratitude, and a lot more. Weekly yoga is offered and it doesn't matter what level you are. I was supported and cared for all the way through the process of outpatient recovery.

The Manor has thoughtful staff and a comprehensive mental health treatment program utilizing groups and counselors along with outside psychiatrists and therapists. My son recently completed a 12-month treatment program at the Manor of Hope and his recovery from substance use issues is nothing short of miraculous due largely in part to the care he received at the Manor from Steve Killelea and his staff of highly skilled counselors. Every parent's nightmare is watching your kid battle the demons that mental illness and drugs unleash on them. Long care treatment facilities like the Manor work better to treat addiction than the short-term, for-profit institutions that fail more often than not to help those suffering from these illnesses. My current relationship with my son is night and day as Steve has helped to guide him into adulthood. Steve not only helped my son but counseled my wife and I on how to deal with my boy as he transitions back to family life. I am profoundly grateful and thankful to have crossed paths with Steve and the Manor of Hope and highly recommend the long-term care and treatment programs that the Manor can offer to those suffering from addiction and mental illness.

The Manor of Hope is making a huge difference in our son’s life. We were desperate and needed help for our son, who is on the autistic spectrum. Steve took our son under his wing, and now he is learning how to live independently, slowly but surely. We did not think an independent life would be possible for him. Steve and our son’s mentor, along with the other staff are teaching him skills that will last a lifetime. He recently was hired for a part-time job and is enrolled in a college course. The professionals that Steve have connected our son with, such as his psychiatrist and therapist, are excellent. The Manor of Hope has so many opportunities. Our son is learning how to cook through a weekly culinary class. He is taking care of a garden, and has a personal trainer and is working out on a regular basis He is always busy which is great for him. He also has structure. They take him on day trips and excursions. Our son is enjoying life and is happy. We are so thankful we have found Steve and the Manor of Hope. We were at the end of a very dark path and didn’t know where to turn. Our son’s life is now full, and he is growing and maturing every day. He is respectful towards us and is learning boundaries. All things we couldn’t have achieved when he was home. He needs the Manor of Hope and he is also grateful for his time there.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Two Therapists Who Helped Me Rebuild My Life: Marisela Hurtado (IOP) & Jiahao R. (PHP) When I first entered treatment, I was in one of the darkest and most fragile places I’d ever been. I was battling severe depression, overwhelming anxiety, constant panic attacks, and I could barely sleep two hours a night. Even moving around, taking showers or getting through the day without crying felt impossible. I was exhausted, scared, and losing hope. Then I met Marisela Hurtado in IOP and Jiahao R. in PHP—two people who became lifelines when I needed them most. They each played a powerful role in my healing. With a level of compassion and patience that was truly extraordinary, they created safe, steady spaces where I could finally open up about everything I was carrying. They listened to me, supported me, and guided me through emotions I didn’t even know how to express. They helped me feel seen, understood, and never once judged me for the weight I was under. Marisela and Jiahao didn’t just give me tools—they gave me hope. Marisela will treat and care for you like you are her family. They helped me work through my panic attacks, manage my anxiety, and slowly rebuild my strength. Their kindness, dedication, and belief in me were exactly what I needed during a time when I didn’t believe in myself at all. Because of their care, I’m sleeping better. My mind feels clearer. My anxiety is more manageable. I’m moving through life again instead of just surviving it. Marisela Hurtado and Jiahao R. are the second kind—exceptional, compassionate, and deeply committed to helping people heal. They are changes the lives of people in a positive way.

Patricia left, Ms Green left, I have no therapist, NO DOCTOR, NO MEDS. I Called yesterday, no call back. This is why people leave, quit, and give up on themselves. Update: the office manager worked with me and assigned me a new therapist who I've been with for almost a year now. I also was able to get a new psychiatrist who listened to my concerns and was able to prescribe me the proper medication. He listened to why I was smoking medical Marijuana and I stopped smoking once he put me on the right meds. I haven't smoked in almost two years. You just need the right doctors ☺️

If you’re looking for a safe, clean, and educated environment to give birth at then I highly recommend Holy Redeemer! We couldn’t believe how excellent most of the staff was from the morning shift to the night shift. Nurse’s Tracy and Stephanie were our nurses when we first got all checked in and moved with such haste to get my partner ready for delivery. They also both had great personable skills! We then had our night nurse Sheila whom we had the pleasure of delivering our beautiful daughter with Doctor Hamedi. I can’t say enough great things about those two and the assisting nurses! Nurse Sheila was very nurturing through out the whole process and made us feel like she was our own family, she’s a beautiful human being! Doctor Hamedi was a natural all star delivering the baby and coached my partner through out the whole process of pushing along side nurse Sheila. Lord knows I don’t know the feeling! After we got to meet this precious daughter of ours we were then transferred to the maternity ward and met with nurse Masie in the middle of the night. Nurse Masie was also just so so outstanding! She was such a down to Earth nurse that listened to our concerns and was able to respect our wishes but also informed us of the risks of our decisions. We were concerned about giving our daughter the vitamin K shot because we were concerned about the pain and the repercussions of it along the line. NEVER in my 4 years of having my other daughter has a nurse ever been able to administer a shot without making the poor baby scream bloody murder but man she absolutely shot it literally! Not one peep, she did it so swiftly and effectively; huge props for that! I will say that I’m so ecstatic to see these types of people still being the back bone of our society and introducing new life onto this Earth. All the staff exceeded my expectations and I wouldn’t choose anywhere else to deliver my next child. Thank you from my family to all yours!
