I signed up for outpatient treatment and the staff was very friendly very helpful and my therapistMr. Derek) a good dude, very understanding never looked down on me because of my alcohol and powdered cocaine addiction. Unfortunately, my addictions got the best of me and I relapsed and didn't return.I was so ashamed of myself I didn't want to show my face and went back to boozing and now thankfully I'm finally getting help that I need. I was admitted to Jefferson Hospital suffering from severe alcohol withdrawal syndrome, borderline experiencing auditory hallucinations. I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck.

My review is in regards to the ER here. We arrived around midnight, I had quite the scare. I have never visited a VA facility so my inprocessing/check in took a little long but I was patient and they stayed in communication throughout the process while constantly apologizing for the wait, which I really didn't mind - I never expect to be immediately seen at any ER lol. Once I was checked in, everybody I dealt with from the nurses to the doctor to the person that conducted my CT scan were so warm and comforting through my issues. I felt instant relief once I was in my room dealing with the medical staff. I can not stress enough how silly I feel ever feeling hesitant of visiting this facility. I have never been treated so well by medical staff. VA facilities have had a stigma over the years but I can not stress enough how wonderful of an experience I had once I was I checked in.

I had a really good experience with Blueview Recovery. I was looking for help with my mental health and wasn’t really sure what to expect, but everyone was really welcoming. Tiffaney was actually my first contact and she made me feel comfortable right away. She was easy to talk to, answered all my questions, and made the whole admission process a lot less stressful than I expected. I really like the holistic side of the program too, especially the mindfulness, yoga, grounding, and wellness activities. I’m glad I reached out to Blueview and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for mental health.

I’m so grateful my cousin found Blueview Recovery. She had been struggling with her mental health and PTSD for a long time, and as her cousin, it was really hard watching her go through it. Since starting the mental health program, I’ve honestly seen such a difference in her. She seems more like herself, has learned ways to cope with her trauma, and is starting to understand her triggers instead of feeling overwhelmed by them. The staff has been incredibly supportive, patient, and empathetic with her, and I can tell she feels safe and comfortable there. Seeing the transformation in her has meant so much to our family. I’m really thankful Blueview was there when she finally decided to reach out for help. ❤️

I used to volunteer services at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the cost for the entire year was 800.00. I would assume it has increased with inflation but the information stating a cost of $12,000 monthly is inaccurate. If you need help you should consider reaching out to Teen Challenge. Lives are transformed at and through Teen Challenge, do not let the inaccurate information about the cost deter you from getting help. Also, I believe they have ways of acquiring financial assistance if needed. If you have a problem and your tired of it and / or you have been to multiple rehabs, this one is different. Don’t go back to what you know doesn’t work. Heart transformation vs’ behavior modification. Anybody can change their behavior for external reasons, like they got fired from their job, fighting with spouse, ect. and they really believe that they’ve stopped., but two months after getting a new job and the coast is clear guess what creeps back out? When there’s a transformed heart, the desires are abolished, not tucked away for later. Hearts are transformed at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the program was12 months. You might think that’s a long time. If you do nothing 5 years will fly by and you will be where you are now, or worse off, or even dead. Make a move now and imagine the endless possibilities that can happen in five years. New friends, new career, new location, clear, productive mind. Don’t wait. Do it today. “Once a man is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old is gone, and the new has begun.” 2 cor 5:17

My mom went here back in April and I just want to thank you guys so much. She’s reached 6 months sober and has such a different view on everything. Till this day, she talks so highly about 2 techs from there; Christian and Michele. She said they showed so much care and compassion and I’m very thankful for them keeping her in a positive place during her time there. Thank you Livengrin. Our family is thriving.

I went to Livengrin 54 years ago, when Joe Potasnik was the director of the place. I've read the reviews, and I'm not surprised by their perspective. When alcoholics walk in to a rehab, they're a mess, and as Joe used to say, "If you're so smart, how come you're here?" Rehab's not an easy place; you have to face a lot of difficult things, and the staff are generally mostly angels in disguise because dealing with a bunch of drunks who are angry, upset, confused, disoriented, and now having to face a very difficult recovery process are not happy people to deal with. So the fact that there's only 5 negative reviews is extraordinary. Few people are as ornery and dissatisfied as alcoholics leaving behind a wake of destruction when they walk into a rehab and are faced with the unknown. Rehab is difficult by definition because of what you're working with. Just remember, you're not going there for a weekend in the country. You're going there to sort out a life that has turned into a disaster and it's not going to be comfortable but it will be effective if you follow the directions. Joe used to say to me, "Richard, shut the hell up and follow the directions. Just do it," and he was right. Next month I celebrate 54 years of sobriety. It's been a long journey but a beautiful one. The best people I've ever met in life I've met in AA. Alcoholics that have recovered, faced their difficulties and gone forward. I'm glad to see that Livengrin is still there. Old Joe would be proud of you.

That lady is awesome (Tonya). These people really care except for the security guards. They are horrible and treat you like 💩.

Saved my life…. All of the counselors that I have had here have been great and truly care about their patients. Dr. Dennis is very kindhearted. Ninety percent of the nurses are very kindhearted as well. I don’t feel as if the security guards are judging me (or anyone for that matter). Certain supervisors could be better. Aside from that, all is well!
