There's a man named Joey that works there and he is just the light of the building. He is so nice and has an amazing heart and he's genuine not doing it bc it's his job. Joey please never leave because the light in that building will dim very dark. You're the light of the place Joey. I was in a dark place stuck in addiction I could not let go of, I was accepted to this program while being in Fatima hospital in Rhode Island. Once I got to zinnia I was so sad because I had no one y my side no family but I also thought I didn’t belong there. I soon realized that I was in the right place at the right time. I was helped tremendously I was given a therapist a doctor my medications for helping me sleep when I couldn’t as I going through withdrawal of cocaine and marijuana. I met good people there at zinnia I made a lot of friends that became my family. zinnia is a great facility they have great staff great doctors great therapists and great food. They have fresh food made daily for us and it was delicious they also had snacks and a fridge and a kitchen for us to eat during the day the beds were great and there is also a gym and you can also smoke cigarettes and vape too. This place helped me realize that I was an addict and that I needed help before I lost my life completely I highly recommend this place for you brother or sister mom or dad cousin or friend this place makes miracles happen.

The facility overall was excellent. While there are a lot of unnecessary rules — many of which even staff don’t consistently enforce, often for good reason — the experience was still overwhelmingly positive. The exceptions were the two or three “storm-trooper” staff members who seemed more focused on rigid enforcement than on helping patients.
The kitchen staff, however, were absolute standouts. The food was consistently on point, and the team ran things like true professionals. Reagan, Kevin, Marvin, Shannon, Jay, and either Ralph or Phil were cool as ice. These guys should be running the place. They were strict, but always fair. If any of them were giving you a hard time, you probably earned it.
I want to give special recognition to Reagan and Kevin — genuinely two of the most authentic, sincere people I’ve ever met. I read a review saying the staff in recovery didn’t know how to handle addicts, and I STRONGLY disagree. In my experience, the staff members who were in recovery went above and beyond for patients multiple times, even in situations where they risked being reprimanded for helping.
My only real complaint is consistency. Either dial back some of the rules, or have the “storm-trooper” staff follow the lead of the standout team members above — because those guys truly embody what this place should be about.
I also want to shout out Jay one more time. He helped me out in a major way and he really didn’t have. All you guys. Keep doing what you do!

Been on liquid handcuffs for 3+ years finally starting to decrease my dose, this place saved my life they’re awesome and don’t treat you like an addict. My only complaint is they should make it easier for take homes. I don’t understand why they don’t give everyone 1 weeks worth and if the patient messes up then take them off. I feel like if I git take homes right away I could have winged myself off. Because yes Dr’s know a lot and a lot more than me but I know for a fact I know my body better than any doctor. My first experience at this hospital. I went in for the company mandated flu shot. I don’t do well with needles. I looked at the wrong time and these two lovely nurses caught me before passing out. They spent over a half hour with me. Constantly reassessing vitals, got some sugar in me. Elevated my legs to help with blood flow. They kept me laughing with a good sense of humor. Before this program, I was a broken, shell of a person. Five months later, I’ve got relationships with friends and family back. I have ambition, purpose, and I’m hopeful for the future. Between all of the therapists & case managers like Bri and JP, the staff at Ocean State actually cares. In comparison, no other program even comes close. If you’re on the fence about choosing a program or taking that first step to reach out for help, call Ocean State. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
EDIT: I was hired here shortly after completing the program and my opinion of this place has only gotten better since starting to work here almost a year ago.

This is the place if you’re really struggling and need some outside help. The rules are pretty simple. However my big Downside is this is a for profit company. For the 80 or so they get from each patient it should be invested into quality case workers. I’m not saying they are all bad but I’ve been here for about 5 or so years, and I’ve just been given my 7th case worker granted only 5 we’re supposed to be permanent. The case worker I just finally got Is the only one you’ve hired that has personal experience.

My experience at CCBC was welcoming but very little depth in sessions. I felt a lack of support and that my concerns may not have been understood or even unaddressed. I never reached advancement. Overall, this was a step forward, I have more people involved, and now my care has been shifted to more intensive. I'd recommend routine evaluations to ensure consistent effectiveness.

I hear through staff at Pathways and my recovery coach this will be a great resource for my lifestyle. I believe this could be the ticket to attend about the views given. I’m going to try a tour to see the in and out of this place. Can hardly wait to see and experience. This place is fabulous. If your serious about recovery then this is for you. The staff is phenomenal and caring. I had a truly awesome experience there. The food isn't the best but it fills your belly. I can't say enough good things about this place other than there needs to be more places like this. Thank you for taking care of me when I couldn't take care of myself. Eternally grateful to the staff. 10 stars from me!!!

I had ambulatory / outpatient surgery on my knee here last week, and dare I say, it was actually a pleasant experience! Every employee I encountered was professional and polite, from security, to check-in, to nurses and doctors. Staff was very caring and thorough, which is refreshing these days.
Because of my ride situation, I arrived about an hour early, but they accommodated me with no problem. The surgery went smoothly, and the recovery room nurse was excellent. Discharge also went smoothly, and it was easy for my ride to park close to the building, so an attendant could wheel me out to the car. I'd rate them a 10 out of 10.

I never got around to posting a review last May. My apologies to the staff. April 30 I had a severe abdominal attack in the afternoon, lasting about 5 minutes. Everything was fine after that. Later that evening, around 10 p.m. another attack hit, worse than the first one. My wife gave me no choice...ER. Arrived with no pain. After hearing what happened, they immediately got me into a room and set me up for a CT Scan. One hour later I had the scan. Results came back as a severely filled gallbladder (stones) and a blocked bile duct. IT'S in to keep me hydrated and generate a bowel movement. It was a busy night, but there seemed to be a nurse there at all times. They made sure my wife was comfortable. Was Later transferred to ICU. If I thought I had a lot of attention in ER, I was overwhelmed in ICU. Exceptional!!! It was recommended I be transferred to Hartford Hospital due to the severity of the gallstone blockage and bike duct issues. Done..operated on three days later (liver enzymes much too high) when enzymes down. My care at DKH, emergency room and ICU was exceptional. I should have posted this months ago, but I don't normally do reviews. Thank you to the doctors and nurses who went all put that night and into the next evening.

Winsor House has it's perks it one stop shopping for housing utilities including but not limited to phone and internet it not much worse then a boarding house with room and board unless you are on D.I.. Trust funded entitlements (SSI) with only a S.S.I. State Supplement Payments and S.N.A.P. with no Survivors Benefits. In the event of the above it leaves the resident with very little money if they are report the room and board.

I have to share my experience with the Xray department at Fatima. Carolina in scheduling was so accommodating after the frustration I experienced with broken x-ray machines at Landmark Medical. I missed two days of work because of their down machine and only received a phone call just before my appointment. Staff at Fatima went out of their way to make it possible to get my Xray scheduled the same day and not have to miss another day of work. All the staff from the security guard at the front entrance to the Xray staff and Radiologist were friendly and professional. I am hoping this hospital, as most of the others in RI, is not closing.

Although I do not care for the current administration, there is NO better place to rebuild your life! Food, clothing, Counseling and recreation is provided at NO cost! The ARC (rehab part) is spotless. As far as getting stuff for "free" people forget it needs to be picked up, sorted,hung and priced ..Not to mention, do you have any idea how much Garbage they get?? There dump bills are astronomical because so many treat it as a dump! I can also tell you this , 90 percent on every dollar is spent on Charitable causes!! God bless the Salvation army
