I absolutely love my experience with valley mental health, they were always so reliable and so patient and understanding. Anytime anyone around me mentions therapy I recommend this place. Nicole and Shelly both always go above and beyond and there’s never been a time where I’ve felt like they haven’t actually cared. I feel like I wouldn’t have graduated highschool if it weren’t for them motivating me and pushing me. 10/10

I have been involved with Valley Behavioral health for a little over 2 years now. When I started treatment for drug addiction I was lost and all over the place as far as mental health and my day to day life in general. Thanks to the staff and a couple therapists, as well as my fellow peers that suffer with the disease of addiction. As a professional in the industry, I had the opportunity to tour this beautiful facility. The staff was very welcoming and provided me with great details about their program as they showed me around the buildings, explaining what they could offer to the adolescents they work with. I loved the "adopt a cat" program and the equine services that they offer to their students. It was clear that their mission was to provide excellent treatment to their clients, aiming to set them up for success upon leaving.

I began Deer Hollow’s outpatient program after completing residential treatment, and it became one of the most meaningful phases of my healing. Outpatient gave me the structure and support I still needed, while also allowing me to start rebuilding my life outside of treatment.
The therapists at Deer Hollow are incredible. They understand trauma on a level I’ve never experienced before, and they know how to create a safe space where you can go deep without feeling overwhelmed or judged. The work we did — especially IFS and the group sessions — helped me continue unraveling the patterns and protective parts that had controlled so much of my life.
What made outpatient so powerful for me was the combination of accountability, connection, and continued therapeutic intensity. I was able to practice real-world coping skills during the week and then bring what came up back into group and individual therapy. It felt like a bridge between treatment and everyday life, and it gave me confidence I didn’t have before.
The community is also something special. Being surrounded by people who understand trauma, who get the ups and downs, and who are all working toward healing made me feel less alone. I built relationships there that still support me today.
Deer Hollow’s outpatient program helped me solidify the progress I made in residential and gave me the tools to live with clarity, stability, and hope. I’m genuinely grateful for the care and compassion I received during this part of my journey.

My adopted daughters started really struggling once they hit their teen years and although they had great therapists at home, this was not sufficient for their struggles. Their life choices were escalating into scary situations and it was hard to consider out of home therapy placement. I'm so thankful I found Youth Cares as they truly care about children and getting to the root cause of their struggles. They taught my daughters really great DBT coping skills that will help them throughout life. My girls were treated with care and respect while in treatment. The therapists and staff are really great and made such a huge difference for our family. I'm so thankful for the online parenting group classes they offer that taught me so much and helped me to be a more effective parent!

I want to speak to all the parents who believe that when our children make mistakes, they can never be the same again. I want you to look at these photos of Roberto, a boy who was programmed to be a champion since the womb but whose adolescence and life experiences led him to make his own decisions, though not always the right ones.
With the help of Youth Care and the full support of my husband, his siblings, and myself, his mother, he was able to find himself again. ♥️ We are also deeply grateful to the other families who were going through the same struggles and, by sharing their stories, helped us support each other.
Thanks to Youth Care’s guidance, our perseverance, and Roberto’s wise decision, he has now been able to change his life or maybe return to the one that was always there since the day he was born.
Is it worth it? Absolutely, more than you can imagine.
Take the step. For us, the greatest gift Youth Care gave us was communication. We didn’t have it at the beginning but we eventually found it and with it came real change.
A piece of advice: when they call you for the enrollment process, ask to attend the therapy sessions, especially the group ones. I miss them deeply.
Today we are happy. Roberto is back to his lifelong sport, back by his own choice after 15 years of life. ♥️

Utah Trauma has made a lasting impact on how I see myself and the way I treat the world. The amount of knowledge I gained from my stay at this treatment center is unreal.
My initial intention when I landed at Utah Trauma was to create a much needed foundation I could grow from. Im writing this 2 weeks into the real world so the afterglow is still very strong from everything I gained from my experience at this house. I expected a very surface level of foundation than what I actually have now. I was more seeking a physical security rather than the emotional structure I now have. I feel more confident shaping my future with the tools I learned at Utah Trauma than I ever planned.
Fully immersing myself into the world of self growth that this place had to offer opened my eyes to more truths about my past than I really imagined. Jumping into an inpatient treatment center has a ton of variables. The way this house is setup makes for so much more actual real world life lessons than the previous program I sat thru. I always felt a true level of compassion from the people that ran Utah Trauma during my stay no matter how hard it was for me to face whatever truth I was being presented.
I couldn't have asked for more from this treatment facility. No matter the drama within the clients there was always a deep level of respect for how each patient felt about what was happening within the culture and I cant emphasize this enough. It's difficult to see passed the emotional lenses when drama is faced head on.
Jeremy had an awesome approach with every person at this facility during my time here.

After my husband tried multiple medications, years of talk therapy, CT scans, MRI’s, and saw countless doctors for different issues- we FINALLY got to the root of it all: his brain.
By addressing the core—his neurological function—we’ve found true healing from his depression, anxiety, ADHD, & addictions. Those painful cycles are over, as this has given us the tools to actually work through them. It’s been a long 7 years watching him suffer & feel disconnected, and now I’m finally seeing my husband be HIMSELF again. That means everything to me.
His quality of life has done a complete 180. He’s able to function optimally! He is healthy- and most importantly he’s happy.

These guys are awesome, if your ready to get clean. If you want to keep getting high, go to the one that rhymes with fart. These guys know their stuff, understand addiction, and will work with you to get you sober. If you want a clinic that doesn't care and will let you do what you want, this isn't the place. I had an experience where they showed me this first hand. The level on one of my tests was out of whack, so they started doing my dose do make sure all was well. Once things were sstraightened or, the stabilized me for the first time ever. Now I'm good without dope. 5 years at fart and nothing, I come here and within a month, I'm stable. This is unlike any other clinic I've been to. No lines around the block, no staff talking down to you. Exactly what I needed.

EDIT: It's been almost a year since my last review & I wanted to update it again. I love this place and & the people. Unfortunately, Jerry, who was the owner, had to sell. I met the new owner & he seemed very nice but omg the new systems they're implementing are just so awful & annoying & frustrating. Before we would come in & Susan, the receptionist, who is so sweet, kind, smart, & efficient, would get us checked in & we could literally be in & out in like 3 minutes for real. Now they make u check in on a tablet & there's a TV where they put your # when you're allowed to go back & see Jeff, (the one who gives u your dose). I hate it for a couple reasons, #1- it slows things down A LOT!!! There is always a wait now & it is no longer in & out. #2- it makes u feel like your at the DMV! Waiting for your # to be called, you're not a person, you're a # & it feels so clinical & impersonal. Now one of the things I do like & really appreciate that they've done is if u miss your counseling apt they give u a week to do a group & if u do u don't have to pay a fine. Which I really appreciate. Last Monday the while morning was going awful & all these things came up & I totally spaced & felt so bad about missing my apt but am so grateful I am able to make it up! I'm also grateful Jerry is still there & I still have him as my counselor, he is a wonderful person who u can tell really cares about everyone & never judges. & I'm also so glad Susan is there & Jeff. Jeff is the nurse who gives u your dose, who is also one of my favorite people there. He is so kind, efficient & I love coming every day & getting to see Susan & Jeff cuz they're such wonderful people & I hope they never leave!!! Diane is another staff member who has been there for years & is such an amazing person. As a matter of fact, all the staff there is amazing & I'm grateful to have such wonderful people to be there & support me in my recovery journey. So even though I really don't like the new system (& talking to others, everyone else hates it too & were kind of hoping they'll do away with it after a while when they see how much it slows things down) I will still continue with, I guess it's called True North now because of the people there.

I know it's cliché, but I'm going to say Recovery Ways saved my life. They showed me the importance and pleasure of being sober. I genuinely felt like the staff actually cared. I feel like I would have been lost without there help. They are the best they walk you through in every detail the skills with you tell you get them down. I felt very scared that I was gonna relapse and end up back at the hospital but they showed me it was possible and having family notice the change is good but I still feel so horrible is still hard to tell if I am ready to finish and move on but I will say that this place makes me feel so safe and I struggle with my employer and you guys were able to get them to understand better the schedule even though I struggle with them for wednesdays cause sometimes I'm not out early enough to make it in time but i am so grateful cause it's been 2 years I was fighting postpartum depression I've been through so much all at once and I tried therapy and it just wasn't working and different medications and nothing and tried cbd oils and nothing and supplements and nothing.everyone is so nice and I feel so safe when I come here and my son used to cry once I pulled him out of the car seat and now I'm like do u want to go play with your friends and he didn't cry this time around which was great. I'd reccomend it especially for my daughter cause I feel down feel like she's going through it and she pulls me with her hopefully one day she will. Thank you all for what you do you guys know how to get the tears out so we're able to heal and feel better and what ever is upsetting us at the moment you guys listen without judging us and I appreciate it

I would recommend Serenity in Riverton to any mom struggling with depression, anxiety, or OCD. All of the therapists there are very caring and want their clients to know how amazing they are and want them to feel better. I participated in the OCD/anxiety IOP, and had a great experience. Being surrounded by other moms who were also struggling was so empowering as we learned coping skills for OCD and how to deal with it head on. The child care that is provided during IOP was wonderful and my child loved going there. Morgan Slade, is one of the therapists there, and I would recommend her to any mom that needs OCD treatment. I have seen many therapists in the past, but from my first consult with Morgan, I could tell she was very caring and compassionate for her clients and wanted them to succeed. Honestly, Serenity helped me get through one of the hardest years and I am so grateful for that. It is an amazing healing center for moms.

Our experience with Copper Hills Youth Center was better than I expected. Our daughter really benefited from her time there and learned better coping skills, more about herself and what helps her. The communication between education, nursing and therapy were all wonderful. The activities and events planning always has great plans for the kids. Our daughter got to enjoy so many outings and things at her time in Utah.

The New Roads program was extremely helpful for our 18yo child. Both the facility and the staff are excellent. We've worked with lots of programs like this and they were by far the most communicative and also took great strides to ensure our whole family was educated in the basics of DBT. Our loved one made tremendous progress in their five months and really liked it there. We highly recommend and should our child need these types of services again, we will go back to New Roads.

New Roads Behavioral Health is by far one of the most clinically sound and cost effective treatment programs in the country if not the world. As a nonprofit RecoverWisely is always looking for affordable treatment centers with an excellent clinical component. They are extremely hard to find. RecoverWisely has sent dozens of people to New Roads throughout the years and have seen nothing but stellar results. The majority of the people that we have referred to New Roads are living independently, working, are sober, mentally healthy, and are on good terms with their family. This treatment center has a true DBT track too. That is rare to find. RecoverWisely definitely recommends this program. We are grateful for the CEO Eric Schmidt and his team. Past client here, I spend almost two months at JMCR and during that time I was able to make so much progress to become the person I always wanted to be. JMCR allowed me to see my strengths and find love for myself, It taught me just how compassionate I really am and the impact that I have on others. Reggie and his team are experts in their field and work tirelessly (with love) to affect positive change in their clients. I remember on one occasion some of the staff were just reflecting on the emotional energy of time and tears started to well in their eyes. They told us how they just want the best for us and truly were expressing just how much they cared. Where other treatment programs might be punitive, JMCR takes a different approach to build you up with respect and compassion to help you find your strengths. Nothing could have helped me more than how JMCR helped me. I will be thankful for it for the rest of my life and I will never forget the people I met along the way! It’s important to note that I tried other treatment centers and they didn’t quite work… GO WITH JMCR you won’t regret it!
