The Phoenix saved my life, and I'm not exaggerating. At the beginning of my treatment I was suicidal, apathetic, and rating my depression severity as a 9/10. I went through IOP and PHP and by the end (5 months later) I was happier than I'd ever been, reporting no suicidal ideation and rating my depression severity as a 1/10.
Of course - it required self-discipline and hard work on my part, but I couldn't have done it without the amazing staff at the Phoenix. Stacy, Michelle, Jess, Jake, Alisiah, Edward, and Marielle all made recovery easier for me.
Danielle Glover was my individual therapist and she was amazing. very compassionate and understanding and taught me things that changed my life.
If you are seeking treatment for mental health the Phoenix is a GREAT place!

I cannot say enough about how Deer Hollow has changed the trajectory of my life. After years of intense trauma therapy with little progress, I had reached such a low point that our fire department’s mental health team recommended I come to Utah. When I agreed, I had no idea how I was going to get through six weeks of residential treatment—and by week three, I wasn’t sure there would be enough time. Clinicians and admissions worked together to ensure I could continue the work we started with their PHP and IOP programs, which I feel were crucial.
After years of struggling with pain and confusion of trauma, on and off the job, they were able to listen, hold space and help me begin to understand, heal and grow.
Deer Hollow takes a truly holistic approach to wellness, incorporating nutrition support, physical exercise, yoga, and community service alongside group and individual therapy. The structured, intensive schedule helped me build a routine that I still follow today.
An amazing bonus is the ongoing alumni support—weekly online check-ins, group meditation or yoga, and the meaningful connection with peers who continue to walk this journey with me.
I am forever grateful for the amazing clinicians, techs, admissions team, and support staff who have given me a new outlook on life.

I really appreciate every part of this process I have been through with these guys! Mrs. Brown is such an amazing soul. It’s nice to be treated like a person and not a case number. I’m thinking of continuing sessions even after my required ones are done just so I can have that freedom of no judgment or anything when it comes to talking about personal life and feelings. For the people that walk into this place and already have their minds made up about what it’s going to be, of course it’s not going to be good. For those that come into the process with an open mind and positive attitude, I don’t see how this can’t be helpful. But if you’re looking for advice on who to pick if you’re able to go so, Melanie Brown is hands down just amazing.

Pathways has a unique approach to the treatment of mental health and addiction to where I didn't just feel like another client, I felt like part of a family who understood me, staff included. I wish I could single out every staff member there because they all care so much. I do want to give a shout out to one staff member. If it hadn't been for Ally who talked with my daughter for an hour, and then me when we were looking for a treatment center, and the way she took the time to explain to us what Pathways was about without trying to sell something really helped me make a decision that would change my life. So thankyou Pathways!

I wanted to get on here today and leave a genuine review for pathways. I’ve been through a lot of Mental health and recovery programs in my life and to me, this place is different. The dedication to the work that Pathways has to offer its patients and the results I found on my journey with them I’ve spent years at other places trying to get and never received. It’s hard to explain it in better words than this is a place that cares. Anytime I’ve gone there I’ve felt I was surrounded by people who truly understood and knew how to help. If I were to recommend a place to go to for any kind of treatment, whether it be mental health disorders, addiction, recovery, eating disorders etc. I would recommend pathways and the good that comes from there.

Pathway literally changed my life. I had been on drugs for the last 15 years of my life, was in a victim mentality, and had so many undiagnosed issues. I worked through my trauma, did the geniologity tests. I was undiagnosed for the longest time and as soon as I got the results, everything in my life clicked. From that point on everything changed. Tina, as all of the other therapists were amazing. Since leaving the program, I have been employed full time for a year, built a strong connection with my family for almost 2 years (which hasn’t happened since I was 11(, and have been in a lease in an apartment for almost 2 years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM. LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE!!!! FOREVER GRATEFUL!!!!!

I had the best experience here. I loved most of the staff! It had a very homey vibe. They treated me like I was family. Its hard to get sober as it is and the hospitality they showed me was impeccable. The nurses were very kind and took care of me better than the nurses in the hospitals ever did. Very nurturing. I cant say the same for the after care though...it wasn't horrible, but my experience just wasn't great. I could care less about the staff there as well. I don't recommend Chatham or w.e their sober living is called. Otherwise their rehab, 10/10 all around amazing! Highly recommend. Just follow the rules. I know its easier said than done. Getting sober feels like freedom you haven't felt and you almost feel like a kid again. Take advantage of your stay here. Its a great program.

Draper, UT | Deer Hollow – Outpatient in Draper, Utah is a treatment center offering care for adults living with trauma, addiction, and mental health disorders. Their skilled care teams understand how important structure and compassion are when working through challenges. The emphasis on substance use disorder care is clear and the services are designed t | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Deer Hollow didn’t just help me get sober — it helped save my life, my marriage, and the kind of father and man I want to be.
As a United States Marine veteran, husband, and father, I carried years of trauma, pressure, and pain that I thought I had to handle alone. PTSD, addiction, anxiety, and the weight of trying to keep everything together nearly destroyed me. I came into Deer Hollow exhausted spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. What I found here was not judgment — it was brotherhood, compassion, accountability, and real healing.
The staff at Deer Hollow truly understand veterans and first responders. They understand hypervigilance, shame, grief, anger, and what it feels like to come home from war but still feel stuck in survival mode. For the first time in a long time, I felt seen. I felt understood. And most importantly, I felt hope.
Through therapy, recovery work, structure, and genuine connection, Deer Hollow helped me become present again — present for my wife, my daughters, my unborn son, and for myself. It gave me tools to face my trauma instead of running from it. It helped me rebuild my faith, my confidence, and my sense of purpose as a man.
Today I am sober, healing, and becoming the husband and father my family deserves. My relationships are stronger. My mind is clearer. My heart is softer. I still have work to do every day, but Deer Hollow gave me a foundation I never had before.
I will forever be grateful to Deer Hollow for helping me reclaim my life and reminding me that asking for help is not weakness — it’s courage. For any veteran or first responder struggling in silence: you do not have to fight this battle alone.

Going to Recovery Ways was, for me, literally a life-saving experience. I walked in there a total shaking wreck, heavily dependent on alcohol and in the process of dying, with undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues that led to my drinking. I spent 4 days in detox, getting my physical health back and decided to spend 28 days in residential treatment there.
The staff were all experienced, and many of them have been in successful recovery themselves. The treatment I received there was compassionate and effective. I learned things about myself that I had been hiding from my whole life. I was able to heal old traumas and evolve into the person I want to be, rather than the person I accidentally became. I also had FUN and connected with people that will probably be lifelong friends,
After residential treatment I went into their Partial Hospitalization Program and continued to receive education and help in building healthy thoughts and habits. I learned to respond to life, rather than reacting to it. My anxiety and depression melted away, layer by layer as I turned into a more effective and happy version of myself.
Today I am 4 months sober, but I've learned that sobriety is just a side-effect of living the life that I choose. I do not believe that I could have done this without the wonderful humans at Recovery Ways, and all the care and love (and FUN) they shared with me.
Highly recommended. And don't listen to the talk about the food.
My nutritional skills also improved as a result of living there for 60 days. It may not be Club-Med, but that's not the purpose of being there. (They serve a salsa there that is better than I have ever had anywhere else.)

I voluntarily admitted myself to Recovery Ways in September 2023. When I was calling about admissions I was staying in the behavioral unit of St. Marks Hospital, and Recovery Ways made accommodations for one of their team members to pick me up straight from the hospital. In-take was very fast. The staff at Recovery Ways Residential Care (Copper Hills) were very nice and friendly. They were able to make professional connections to each client, including myself. Although they weren't qualified to make treatment plans, diagnosis etc. they offered to have 1:1 discussions with clients if they weren't able to speak to a therapist on-site or on-call. For me, the situation wasn't as dire, or needed medical intervention, but they still talked to me about a struggle I was going through with my family. The occupational therapists are very sweet and insightful. Yes, they do help clients shop for nicotine, or do smoking supply runs every week. But, when I was at Recovery Ways (copper hills) it was clear to me that they weren't going to associate themselves with forcing clients/patients to adhere to strict guidelines but rather held us accountable for our actions. For instance, I was told by therapists and staff members that it is my choice if I want to pick up smoking, but they advised strongly to clients/patients to do their best to not pick up smoking habits as it will stunt our overall recovery from other substances or make it harder to receive successful treatment. The other residents/clients who smoked would also tell me to not start smoking or vaping. My therapist did have me go over my past trauma with her, but it was so she could have a better understanding of my case. The Med Technician who administered my prescriptions to me helped advocate for me to my psychiatrist appointed by Recovery Ways about having ongoing PTSD related night terrors. Because of him, I was able to be put on a sleeping pill and another medication that helps with PTSD night terrors. I went into Recovery Ways experiencing suicidal ideation (and having recently attempted), urges to self-harm, mania and lots of other symptoms/diagnoses. But, at the end of my treatment (after moving to Brunswick) I was able to recover successfully. Two years later and my GAD is in remission, my psychotic symptoms that was diagnosed alongside my Bipolar 1 Disorder is no longer affecting me. I have also stayed with their recommended psychiatrist when I was being discharged from Recovery Ways. And their excursions for physical activity/occupational therapy activities were kind of like surprises but they still gave us a few minutes to get dressed for the activities. Overall, my experience was amazing and every staff in each Recover Ways building were very helpful. I don't know if the chef at Brunswick is still working there, but in 2023 he was an amazing cook and made sure each meal he made satisfied the residents/clients. I'd recommend Recovery Ways for anyone.

Draper, UT | Youth Care Treatment Center is in Draper, Utah. They’re a behavioral and mental health care center for adolescents. They provide residential and partial hospitalization programs for youths ages 11 to 18 who are recovering from addiction and behavioral disorders. They combine psychotherapy with life skills training. Their residential program allow | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Our daughter (now 17) Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, BPD, spent the last 10 months @ YC and had a very positive experience. She made a ton of progress over her time there. The staff were professional and responsive. Our daughter had aggression issues and was non-compliant with treatment and school at the start of her stay. They paired her with an excellent therapist, and she was able to make tremendous progress. We spent our first 5 months constantly wondering when the "other shoe would drop", and it always did, trust me. But over time, she progressed, and soon the environment became a bit too restrictive for her, but her behavior needed to improve in order for her to move to a step-down program. YC recently revamped their treatment program moving to more of a tiered system, whereas before, all kids (no matter their behavior) were grouped into the same houses. Now, they have 3 tiers of houses. One house is reserved for kids that need the most restrictive environment, and basic behavior expectations are required to move to the next level of house(s). Two houses are the middle tier, where there are higher behavioral expectations and thus less restrictive. Finally, there is the top tier house, which has the highest level of expectation, and therefore the least restrictive. Our daughter spent her last month or so in the top tier house, and she reported it as boring and uneventful, as kids behaved well. Their parent support group is weekly, and they have one specific for SUD, and the other for non-SUD (they run back-to-back). The support groups are for both parents with kids in treatment @ YC, and for those with kids that have discharged from YC. Parent days @ YC are well run and informative. They are very emotionally exhausting (in a good way) and both my wife and I found them to be very beneficial. We were very worried about sending our daughter to any residential treatment facility, and honestly, we waited too long to send her, however; here we are moving to La Europa Academy on 4/1/26. Thank you Youth Care for the love and care you and your staff showed to our daughter and family.

Murray, UT | Zion Healing Center provides substance abuse and mental health treatment for adults. You'll find 'em located out in Murray, Utah. They offer intensive outpatient (IOP) services. This track gives you more flexibility if you're able to live at home and continue working or attending school without needing 24/7 supervision. Their holistic methods ad | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Neurolife has some of the best people working there Krystal and Oaklee have been exemplary technicians. Not only do they do great work but they genuinely care. I did TMS and Neurofeedback therapy here. Both have been helpful in different ways and with different goals. While the main things I was directly treated for were depression, anxiety, and insomnia, I truly see how it helped with my autistic symptoms as well as PTSD. Throughout the process I genuinely knew my technicians not only knew what they were doing but genuinely cared about me and that within itself helped me a lot. I could not recommend Neurolife enough.

I just recently received the full treatment for TMS. I couldn't believe the results that I received I went from a score of 16 to 3 and that is very significant little more than 70% improvement. I found that my mind is allowing me to slow down and flow so that I can make better decisions instead of rash decisions in the moment. I've also found that my therapist and my psychiatrist say that I am not on the higher spectrum of depression anymore and I no longer have to be on an antidepressant. I did find out that my anxiety still is an issue but it's not as relevantly in my life as it once was. So anybody out there just wanting some relief and willing to do the work that is required for TMS and the commitment that it requires as well, I highly recommend this for you. I couldn't be happier with my results and as a result of it my quality of life has gone up and my relationships are way better than they used to be. I only wish I had found the sooner but sometimes things come into our lives when they're supposed to and I couldn't be happier. Also a big shout out to Oakley, Krystal, Matt, James who were such an incredible team and worked with me so diligently. Truly an amazing group of people there to help you on your journey.

I recently had a psychiatry intake appointment with Dave Lind. I’ve seen other psychiatrists before, but Dave was the first who I felt like gathered a detailed picture of my overall health, not just my mental health history. He really listened, asked purposeful questions, and addressed my concerns. I appreciated his knowledge and holistic approach to wellness. He took the time to explain why I might be experiencing certain symptoms and offered insight as to things that might help me, in addition to the medication. I came out of my appointment feeling hopeful. I’m very happy to have found a provider who I feel I can trust!

Extremely positive and helpful experience. I was helped through the entire process and was never made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. Just the opposite. The environment provides cohesion with clients and staff making it a smooth process for learning and ultimately putting in the level of work that you want, and/or are capable of. In particular working with Ruth was a truly wonderful process. Ruth's mixture of knowledge, experience and raw interpersonal abilities led, as well as, kept me on the path of personal growth that I didn't even know I was capable of. Ruth's caring and understanding, as well as an uncanny ability to call me out (gently) on my tendencies towards cognitive dysfunction, I will not forget any time soon. Although I believe she would not accept the sentiment, I feel that I owe her a great debt of gratitude. I also am grateful for Amber in her roll as far as making all things in the administrative aspect of my time at Salt Lake Behavioral Health smooth as can be. Amber, in her roll, handled things in a way that I never had to wonder, or worry if it was handled. Amber made sure, on a daily basis, that any need I had was going to be met. She in my opinion is nothing short of a wonder woman. Ultimately, I am so very pleased with all the levels of care and treatment at Salt Lake Behavioral Health that I received. And I will not hesitate to return if a need arises any time in the future.
I highly recommend Salt Lake Behavioral Health, and will do so actively.

I chose this program on my own because I wanted to better my life. I was not court ordered and voluntarily enrolled because I genuinely wanted help and structure.
Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The program seems poorly managed, and communication within the staff is inconsistent. I was discharged twice, supposedly for missed UAs and groups, even though I had clearly communicated with staff about scheduling and compliance.
Another major concern was that I did not receive a therapy session for over 7 weeks, which is unacceptable in a treatment program. At the same time, my insurance was still being billed for services that were never provided. That raises serious ethical and legal concerns.
When I tried to address these issues, the owner, Mike, was very dismissive and often shifted blame onto his employees rather than taking accountability for the program’s management.
I truly went into this program wanting help and willing to do the work. Instead, I experienced disorganization, lack of communication, and services that were not delivered.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that anyone seeking treatment carefully consider other programs before choosing this one.
This business is bad business!!! AVOID at all costs!

James Raburn has truly been the driving force behind some of the biggest positive changes in my life. I wouldn’t be writing this review if I didn’t genuinely believe that I’m in a far better place today because of his guidance, honesty, and support.
Over the past three years, I haven’t always been the easiest patient. It took real patience, consistency, and straightforward conversations to help me get where I am now. James has been there for me at all times — and I mean all times. He doesn’t just go through the motions; he shows up.
If you’re looking for someone who will hold you accountable, call you out when needed, and still make it clear that he truly cares about you as a person, James is that person.
You’ve made a lasting impact on my life, and I’m incredibly grateful.
Thank you James! I think you’re an amazing person and friend!
