My daughter went through the Mountain Valley treatment program for her anxiety. Mountain Valley provides excellent, evidenced based treatment for anxiety and OCD to teens and young adults ages 13-21 in a beautiful, warm setting. The staff: directors, clinicians, and residential staff, are intelligent, skilled, compassionate, and wise. Not only do they provide great treatment in the form of exposure response treatment, CBT, DBT, and ACT; they explore the larger life journey, values, and meaning for each resident. They connect the residents to nature in their beautiful NH setting, and on their farm with animals. They have a wonderful chef and integrate healthy food and life style choices. They have a three phase treatment structure that aligns the treatment process with the idea of a heroic journey, and have ceremonies to mark entering each phase (a fire ceremony and an ice bath ceremony). They foster an atmosphere among the residents that allow them to develop community with others and deep connections. My daughter not only learned the tools to address her anxiety that she will carry forward, she learned to connect with herself and her values, and to tolerate her distress and challenges with courage. In addition, they offer a parent support and education program that allows us to learn about anxiety, supports us, and gives us the tools to parent our children with significant anxiety. They also offer a transitions program for the residents after they leave to bridge the return to their lives at school, home, and in their communities, My daughter’s experience at Mountain Valley was life changing and healing. I recommend it without reservation for kids with severe anxiety and OCD, and am so grateful for her and our experience at Mountain Valley.

Mountain Valley has truly been a lifesaver to our family! It is a special place made up of special people who have both the expertise and the caring hearts to support both their residents and their families during a very difficult time. They were able to turn my daughter’s bright light back on that had been dimmed due to anxiety and depression. They educated her to help her understand what she was going through, gave her coping skills for when she experiences her highs and lows, and helped her to learn strategies and routines that allow her to maintain a healthier lifestyle. They also helped and supported our family to learn what we could do to better support her. In connecting with the other residents and forming incredibly close friendships, for the first time, our daughter didn’t feel alone in what she was going through. The therapists and staff at Mountain Valley are unmatched in the way they care about and connect with the residents. My daughter really trusted them and finally had hope that she could get better. On top of all that, she loved being there and had so much fun in all their activities. I am forever grateful to Mountain Valley!!!!

Every staff member becomes a mentor, every resident becomes a sibling, every animal becomes your new best friend (the sheep are fluffy dogs, the donkeys are so sweet, the chickens are annoying little cutie pies, the rabbits are calm hoppy buddies, and the goats are adorable monkeys). Mountain Valley is a one-of-a-kind “milieu” — it’s truly a family. My friends from MVTC are some of the best people I will ever have the pleasure of meeting. Months could go by without contact, but I know they’re always there for me like nothing’s changed.
The work at Mountain Valley can be difficult, and it’s the most amazingly transformative time of your life. My happy place is Mountain Valley. To know that there is such an incredible place existing so full of empathetic, kind people gives me hope for the future of this world.
Hearing about the troubled teen industry, I’d gone into treatment terrified of abuse, neglect, and more. I feel heartbroken for people who experience those things, and I also feel heartbroken for a suffering teenager who lets those stories stop them from going to Mountain Valley.
It scares me to think of where I would be (if I would even still be here) without the people who saved me at Mountain Valley. The love and joy MVTC brings me is immeasurable, incomparable. I wish everyone in the world could experience Mountain Valley, because being so seen, loved, accepted, heard, and genuine is so rare in this world.
Every single person at Mountain Valley is changing the world. I owe them everything and have so much gratitude for each and every one of them. If you are reading this and considering Mountain Valley, know that treatment is difficult, scary, and not linear. The antrim house helped save my life. the staff are wonderful and go above and beyond to try and help you. There isnt a staff memeber there that i didnt like. The staff were amazing, it was difficult with the forced isolation and strict rules but after a while I realized it was necessary. Forced quiet when I couldn’t quiet myself. Caring and compassionate I needed them and proud to say I’m an Ally (LGBTQIA+)
One suggestion PLEASE ! Have everyone sign a release of info to their PCP right off on the day of discharge. Get the process started because it is a long and broken system to navigate and this will shorten it. It’s the patient who suffers from the 30 days plus process and the communication and paperwork that it takes for the two to talk to each other. It’s just one less thing we have to remember or concentrate on while trying to get back into the world again.

Dr. Kloster has stand by me and supported me through the good and the bad. When I joined Hawthorn over 10 years ago. I was ready to fully commit to the program and do the program the right way. I was on a couple programs a few times and do to me not being ready to give up everything completely. Those other programs failed for me. And let’s be honest it was 99.9% my own fault the programs didn’t work for me. I felt forced into seeking help before I was 100% committed in my mind that I needed help. Dr. Kloster always spoke to me as a father would a son to help show me the errors of my ways and the life I could have if I just keep my head on straight and work the program the way it was designed to help me succeed to the fullest. Dr. Kloster is one of my heroes! Not just for what he has done to help me over the years. But the help he’s giving to the community as a whole. I’m grateful for him because if he was to refuse to help me at that time. I don’t believe I would be here now texting a biography of Dr Kloster. 🤣 I know many more people who feel the very same way about ( Our Good Ol’e Doctor Kloster. He brought the help to this community that we have been sadly been missing in this area. Which left this area so far behind the times, as far as recovery and help for people. The only options were to be sent away to inpatient. That’s not always an option that works for everyone.
I want to give personal Thanks to Dr.’s Kloster, Haughton, McLaughlin, and any other Dr’s I forgot to mention their names. And to all the hard working staff that does everything in their power to make sure that you have everything you need and at a reasonable time.

I think the staff does a great job at New Season Concord, N. H. I constantly hear people talking bad about the clinic, and just putting it down. My thoughts would be that more then likely they probably would never open such a place of there wasn't proof of it working. Or should I say, if the success rate wasn't there. I just got out, I was sicker than I thought. Im going to honestly say I have mixed feelings it really is hit or miss at this hospital. Respectfully I can say they are very short staffed, and extremely overwhelmed. I was in for 2 days found an abcess and pin hole in my intestines they treated me to the best of their ability they were honest but towards the end the vibe was off. And yes they definitely want to make sure you aren't there pill seeking. Not everyone is a junkie and yes i did feel that i was screened for some reason.People like me dont look sick because of high pain tolerances I live in pain. However you have to give credit were it has been earned the unit nursing staff on 1 floor was and is excellent they listen they care.kaylee,shana,serenety,brenda,michelle,levy,CT. So in the end we are in control of ourselves if your sick and you need the ER go because if I need them again I will take my chances. I have been in and out of the hospital frequently in the past few years and am very happy with the Baystate Franklin Medical Ctr. The staff are friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and professional. I know that when I am there, I am in the best place possible, no matter what is happening.
The only drawback I experienced was a very long wait in the ER of three and a half hours. I was unable to sit comfortably due to my injury, and there is no accommodation for that scenario in their waiting room.
I do not hold the center responsible for the wait. It just seems the community has grown larger than what the hospital was originally designed to support.

Savida has great crew of doctors. I have been with Dr kloster for almost 14 years and he is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He is a very caring doctor and always listens to your concerns. The doctors, nurses and office staff are all a wonderful group of people. I fully recommend this office if your looking for support with sobriety. This office has kept me focused and fully supported through many difficult transitions in my personal life. I dont know where I would be if I didnt have the staff at this office fully supporting me. This BHN facility has its ups and downs to it. From May 2018, to current day! I have experienced so much over the years. From being a Co-Ed Detox up until 2022. My last time being in this building in 2021, I'm now a resident of Connections. My caseworker Alex is very reasonable and understanding. The program director Jen is a wonderfully kind and cooperative person. This is a locked facility, where you have to be let on or off the unit. The different paths in recovery are accepted. There is from a structured guidance program here. 3 beds in each room, 3 meals provided daily, and staff (Recovery Specialists & Clinical Counselors) that will provide help/assistance/resources. I've been here in this new program for a week now and have adjusted very well. My future here will be very conducive to my recovery, I also believe that I can and will be very successful.
The downsides here are only, grievance forms aren't responded to timely. Your not allowed to bring food or beverages on to unit. Very

This isn’t a bad long term rehabilitation program if you are looking for a program that is Bible based rather than Bill Wilson’s “big book”, but it’s by no means perfect despite all the 5 star ratings. Granite Recovery might be better for long term sobriety. It has a higher success rate. In all honesty, I did graduate but I probably should have been hospitalized for exhaustion afterward. You have to work really hard here- both physically and emotionally. Keep an open mind but don’t expect a happy ever after- it isn’t for everybody.

I Called New Season & they got me in the very next morning for a intake & my first dosage. Ladd the program director was who I dealt with & he is always very caring , easy to talk to & understands & genuinely cares about how you’re doing. Ladd has helped me with the whole process from getting into New Season to setting up the check in app on my phone they use & also giving me a very big help setting up insurance… The nurses and my counselor Greg have been great also! I’ve had 0 issues & the only thing I would change is the take home policy to include auto take homes on the weekend & snow day take homes… Other than that very GREAT PLACE!
