My experience at New Life Christian Retreat Center was truly memorable. The location is stunning, exuding peace and tranquility. The staff members are warm, helpful, and accommodating without being intrusive. The accommodations are cozy, and spacious. The retreat center has on-property access to the North Anna River and scenic forest trails. I was there for a women's retreat, but would suggest this site for a wedding, family reunion, or just a place to unplug and relax. If you want to get out for a daytrip, the area has plenty of historical attractions, plus the retreat center is not far from Ashland Berry Farm, Lake Anna State Park, and Kings Dominion. My group stayed on the property -- you'll understand why when you see it. Personally, I left feeling rejuvenated and uplifted after my stay at New Life Christian Retreat Center. I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been going here for 6 now. When BHG took over the old clinic, River City, there were growing pains as any company has going through a takeover. Then the pandemic happens during the takeover. Staff was leaving left & right because patients blamed them for literally EVERTHING. The patients refused to see the bigger picture and wanted to blame staff for following the pandemic rules. BHG was the only clinic in RVA excepting new patients during the pandemic because they genuinely want to SAVE LIVES! Somehow so many patients complained about so many new patients holding up lines. Anyway, with all of that being said, I’ve seen staff come & go BUT THE STAFF THEY HAVE NOW IS SO CARING & want nothing but THE best for us!!! Dr. Swainey is so down to earth once you see how much he relates to us, you’ll have so much respect for his compassion to help us that are stuck in this awful cycle. I could write a book on how much I’ve grown to adore the staff & they ALL deserve the absolute best in life. Every single one of them have played a part in my new outlook of life and I owe that to them. <3
I moved into the Avalon house about 8 months ago. It has really become a home to me. There is a lot of women in one home but we all manage to get along rather well. The Avalon house has been a safe , supportive, clean environment. We operate similar to the Oxford model in that we hold one another accountable. Anastasia is a hands on housing manager but she gives you the room you need to be an adult and make the decisions for your recovery that you feel are right. If you follow the rules, and prove to her that you’re trustworthy then she affords you that trust and she is understanding. I truly believe that Avalon is one of the main reasons that I’ve been successful in my recovery thus far.
It’s imperative in early recovery to surround one’s self with like minded people and Avalon is absolutely a home that you will find the resources you need to grow and thrive into the person you want to be. I absolutely suggest this home to anyone that is willing to put in the work to live a sober life. It’s all about what we put into it that determines what we get out of it.

Been living at one of Anastasia's houses for over a year, I came to this place via a treatment center and have stayed since. The structure and supportive environment of the house, its owners and its other tenants have helped me to achieve the longest amount of sober time I've had since I first picked up a bottle.

Avalon is simply the best. The owner, Anastasia, is so genuinely invested in the success of every member in her program. She holds people accountable while also offering grace. My stay in Parham Hospital was enjoyable .
I had an LTHR surgery, so one wouldn’t describe being in the hospital as enjoyable, but everyone treated me wonderful. My nurses Tiffany, Justin and Whitney were attentive to me and they took the best care of me. They made my stay pleasant.

Went in to the ER for a bit of a scare with my pregnancy. Dr. Rachel who saw me is an amazing professional who has impeccable bedside manner and gentleness. I was in and out within 2.5 hours after they figured out the source of the problem, likely due to it being midday. Even so, everyone we came across was helpful and kind. This is what patients will remember forever so please keep it up!
My opthamology tech was very knowledgeable and helpful. She advised me on future appointments and when I'm doing upgrade. She went over and beyond for me. I really enjoyed the appointments at the VA Clinic just don't mind them at all. Thankful they are there for me. Her name is Denise so shout out girl I think you're awesome. Thanks for fixing my right hearing aid I'll try not to break it again LOL

I go to VA 2 Clinic. The staff has always been exceptionally nice and helpful. And the care has been as good as I've received in both the Military system and Civilian. I'd highly recommend this team.
Still in services Sherri, Jess and Diana are my favorites they really take the time and go the extra amount to help you with your recovery . I’ve been to many different Recovery houses and this by far has the most heartfelt sincere team that I’ve ever been with . Anybody that has anything bad to say about them is probably somebody that’s not ready to be in Recovery .

True Recovery changed my life entirely. I could never repay them for lending me the strength and guidance I couldnt find in myself at the time. In just a few short months it was like I transformed into someone I was proud to be. I had more than sobriety, I had recovery. Internaĺly I was as rich as I could be, all while holding a job and paying my own bills for the first time too. I was able to do things for/with my daughter that I'd never done. It was an amazing experience and I recommend True Recovery to anyone. I am living proof that it works.

My therapist Nympha Dalgado at Dominion care is so amazing. I suffer from cancer snd other mental health problems . when I came to Dominion care, my mental health was all over the place. My psychiatrist Mrs. Nympha Dalgado was patient and truly caring . I am the happiest I have ever been. I am able to take control back of my life and I’m just forever grateful this is amazing place . I'm very impressed with their ABA therapy. We are just a few months in and it has already been life-changing. We went from my autistic son being hospitalized constantly due to his behavior which we couldn't control. Now we are able to manage him and we are able to manage him. Still a long ways to go but I'm sure with them we will succeed. Do not hesitate to use them.
Carmen is amazing and really cares about her clients reaching their "life worth living" goals. I spent over 15 yrs of (at the time 21yr old) my life in and out of therapy. She's the only one who truly helped me make any true progress. Wish I had found her sooner.

My counselor NEVER gave up on me, even when I wanted to give up on myself. I recommend this place for sure.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. I was scared initially as I had read the reviews. Everyone was kind and genuine. We saw Jeremy Jones (intake) and Case Manager, Denise Patterson. These two individuals are some of the kindest, most compassionate human beings that I have EVER met in my life. I truly felt that we were in the presence of angels. Thank you Jeremy and Denise for assisting us in our time of great need

I've been a patient since 2001 and this place is the best Henrico county has available! The one star reviews are probably from people who didn't get their way when coming to this agency. So I highly recommend this place to anyone. The staff on all levels of care are exquisite and very kind.

I've been going here for 6months and before that I was at the VA. There's a few differences between them both but most of all I can tell the Care. I have had 2 Counselors which is understandable considering the work load they have. Since the begining I have been happy and impressed how easy they made my transferring. I started just where I left off at the VA.The only thing I don't agree with or understand is when getting an increase u have to pick up for 3days before getting ur tak homes. I can understand this policy when u a starting out. But it doesn't make much sense after that. I can also say when there was a problem with my pick up (ther Mistake) my councler fixed and had all my bottles in 30mins. All I can say is If u work the program it works. Thank you

I love my counselor here at Pinnacle treatment center FCCR Radford. I feely counselor Lauren is amazing she's does everything she can possibly do for. Shes supplies me with wonderful advice, wonderful resources and everything else a counselor should do. My panic attacks got to such a bad point that she gave me her cell phone number in case I need to message or call when I need her. FCCR RADFORD SAVED MY LIFE!!!

This is the only MAT program clinicnive ever been to but they have been amazing. If you are serious about your recovery they most definitely are going to help you. I've had a couple friends go to other clinics and from what was said FCCR is more strict and that's so important. Especially if you are serious about your recovery and do really want to better yourself and your life. The office staff is amazing there. The nurses are wonderful. I've had 3 different counselors due to 2 of them moving on to better their lives, but every counselor I have had has been wonderful. Very helpful. Easy to talk to. Thank you FCCR for being there and helping me better myself and my life. "It works if you work it"

The front receptionist was very nice and helpful with directions. Radiology, specifically mammography staff was great, very friendly and accommodating.
