It's a combination of all different departments of this program that were very helpful to me along the way into my new journey to a better way of life. At Clinical, Therapists put their heart into making sure to help you unlock what started it all, classes give you knowledge on your mental state, what brings you to your rock bottom or this sick cycle of addiction. Back at housing was surrounding yourself with the people who really want to get help and are not shy to sit down and share their stories with you and relate with you on different levels. Techs are down to earth so it makes it easier for you to vent what's going on with you at the moment but blunt /real enough to help you decompress and snap out of whatever you're going through at that moment. All staff genuinely want you to grow and live life on life terms and become who you were suppose to be without the use of drugs. Heidi is the Bomb! I love her to death, to see her be there for everyone. The heart she has for helping people in this fellowship and newcomers at Comfort is one of a kind! I'm grateful to have her in my life, someone you could look up to, no matter what!

i love my stay here because of how much the staff helps the clients and bond with us and if anyone ever felt down we knew we could reach out. my sweet Andrea’ (spelling?) was the BEST TECH. she loves me like her own and i am forever grateful to her for being there and loving me when i struggles to love myself!

This place is very professional and confidential. I took my teenager daughter for addiction, depression and anxiety. Even though there is not magic solution and you have to work really hard at home, we improved a lot in communication and I learned a lot in the way. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the staff at Jackson South Medical Center for making my scheduled surgery and my entire pre and post-operative experience a positive one. I would especially like to thank the Clinical Resource Management Department, Ms. Yolanda Hochstadt, the registration staff, and the anesthesia team. A very special thank you goes to Dr. Manuel Peñalver, who truly demonstrates genuine care and compassion for his patients and his surgical team. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hospital. The facilities are clean, medical care was provided promptly, and every staff member I encountered was kind, professional, and helpful. During my observation stay in Tower 3, I would like to recognize nurses Elizabeth and Odette, as well as assistants Jorge and Avis, who were all outstanding. I would also like to thank the front desk staff. Although I cannot remember the names of everyone who helped me throughout my stay, I am sincerely grateful to each and every one of them. Everyone was dedicated, efficient, and compassionate at all times. This was my honest experience, and I truly appreciate the excellent care I received. Thank you to everyone at Jackson South Medical Center for making a stressful time much easier and for treating me with such professionalism and kindness.

Since day 1 this place has been the best for my son. The staff is very friendly and super nice 👌. They are definitely interested on his well being. Even when they used to have the small place on the first floor they were very clean and organized. I definitely recommend this place. My son had to change therapist because his first one had to leave this office but we were very pleased with her and we continue to be with his new therapist. I want to say thanks because you guys make the difference.

The staff from the top Ms. Andrea, Oscar, Regina, and Patrick to the therapists Francesca, Maria, and Jaime and all the BHT’s are amazing. Banyan really ares about their clients and it really shows. I'm not Ron Richards I'm Ron Polanski I was at banyan health systemfor 3 months in 2025 I basically just left there the only bad things that I saw was the doctor and the nurse family diagnose pretty much what you had and that's it at least they fire the one nurse when I was there due to not having enough money to pay a few people when I left I'm not going to talk about about this place they kept me there a month extra like I asked all the stuff was good to me they were concerned about things Andrea Zoe Oscar I'm sure my therapist isn't there anymore but I don't want to put his name out there each room had a bathroom everything was clean because we kept them clean they keep you up they keep you doing things 7:00 up until 8:00 at night all these people most of them lives on the streets they don't complain about that if you get what I'm saying anyway addicts want to complain about everything once they get clean do you and only you and stop complaining get out there live life on life's terms and you can make all your decisions and not worry about this that and the other thing do your life first before you put every thing down you are lucky to go to this program at banyan on 59th Street Northwest 1st avenue don't forget that Ronald Polanski checking out have a good day 🙏🙏👍

This is an amazing treatment center for treatment of mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. The staff is compassionate, hardworking, and extremely accommodating. Staff will go above and beyond for their “patients” that are treated like family and recovery is 100% possible if you do your part. I’d totally recommend this place for people who want to improve their lives, make better choices, or simply learn to connect with yourself again. There’s a holistic approach to treatment where you can attend yoga classes, tai-chi lessons, art therapy sessions, group/individual therapy, informative talks/discussions, and music therapy. Overall a great place that can definitely feel intimidating or controlling at first but it all makes sense once you understand that they are only trying to make you feel better.

Dr. Ricart is the best doc ever - I have been seeing him for over 5 years and being under his care is has had a huge impact on the quality of my life. If you are struggling with anxiety or stressful life events, or bad days have become bad weeks or months, I highly recommend Dr. Ricart. He is compassionate and his office is 100% on point. I started here bc the self pay rates were reasonable when I didn't have insurance and continued even after I got commercial insurance bc there really isn't a better doctor in this field in Miami. To address some of the issues mentioned in the other reviews: make your next appointment before you leave and go to there 5040 location if you can. I have had no problem at that locations however the one in Midtown is hard to communicate with.

Aetna is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Miami, with 30 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 27 treatment centers accepting it followed by UnitedHealth Group in 3rd accepted by 25 drug rehabs.

Drug Use in Miami

Miami has the 382nd highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in Miami-Dade county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Miami or Miami-Dade county as a whole.

Drug Related Crime in Miami

In 2023, Miami had the 312th highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 47 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.

Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Miami.
