Our pediatrician at the time took a last-minute vacation, and Dr. Sheedy was the doctor who came to Waukesha Memorial Hospital and took care of him.That was pretty much it for me. We left our old pediatrician after that and have been with Dr. Sheedy ever since.He has watched my son grow from a tiny high-risk newborn into this wild 8-year-old boy, and he has watched my daughter grow into almost a teenager. He knows my kids, he talks TO them and not just over them, and he makes them feel safe. As a mom, that means everything to me. He is family friendly, honest, kind, funny, and just real. He never makes you feel dumb for asking questions and never makes you feel rushed. I truly trust him with my kids, and after 8 years I can say that with my whole heart. Having been through the WisHope Step-Down Housing Program and Wis Hope Treatment Program, I can tell you first hand, that this is a program that can change your entire life, if getting sober and improving your life is truly what you are ready for and willing to do. I struggled with the use of heroin/fentanyl/pain pills for 20 years. It wasn't WisHope that made me stop using. It was "Me" that made "Me" stop using. And it is Wis Hope that co-signed every single step I took to NOT get high every day or give in to the cravings that made me doubt everything that I was doing. Wis Hope offered me the support I needed from day to day to make sure I reached the only goal I wanted to achieve. And that was to make sure I hit my pillow every single night sober! I didn't give a damn if I didn't get one thing done on my "To-do-Lists". And then when I was ready to take the next step, Wis Hope was ALWAYS and still is right there behind me supporting me and giving me the strength I need to realize that I am worth way more than I ever gave myself credit for. They helped me find my purpose again. I have so much to be grateful and thankful for every single day. Instead of chasing that next high and wasting my time degrading and de-facing myself, I amhappy and eager in accomplishing my goals to become the best version of myself. So much that because of my determination and focus, I am now an employee for WisHope helping other people reach their goals and helping them to get past the pain and suffering I once knew all to well. I carry well the empathy needed to help others get out the vicious cycle of addiction.

This was not my first treatment, but it was definitely the best! WisHope offered me a different type of treatment using DBT that taught me skills to use in everyday life and on my sober journey. The staff members were compassionate, empathetic and also knowledgeable. Most are in recovery themselves which made their experiences more valuable to the program that helped nurture clients’ recovery process. The one on one therapy was like none I ever had, getting to the root of some of the contributors to my substance abuse. The recovery community is amazing here! I always felt heard, supported and encouraged every step of the way!

I wanted to bring a shout out to nurse Holly. She was amazing and sweet. Everything you want in a nurse when you're in your weakest moments. Dr. Bohr, understanding and a great listener. Jacob, a social worker, welcoming and understanding. Everything you want in a social worker. Shamiya, a sweet tech that listened to me in a weak moment and I felt heard. There are a lot of great staff members there, I wish I knew all their names. From the care team to the lunch team. Thank you everyone. Your work matters. It's the most important work.

Some of the classes were great! The art therapy was amazing. Some of the staff was great. Juliana deserves a raise!! That girl handled some very difficult people over the weekend. Some of the aids were so kind and fun and helpful. Definitely some not so nice or invested staff. They did great with my food allergies. Overall was a helpful stay for mental health but a few employees that may need to be let go.

Dr. Sheedy is seriously one of those doctors I wish there were more of. He is so down to earth, so easy to talk to, and just one of those people who makes you feel comfortable the second you walk in. My daughter is almost 13 and absolutely adores him, and my son is 8 and loves him too.And honestly it is crazy to me that we have been with him for EIGHT YEARS now. He literally came into our lives when my son was born. Hendrix was considered high risk because of the Rh factor issue and there was concern he could possibly need a blood transfusion. Our pediatrician at the time took a last-minute vacation, and Dr. Sheedy was the doctor who came to Waukesha Memorial Hospital and took care of him.That was pretty much it for me. We left our old pediatrician after that and have been with Dr. Sheedy ever since.He has watched my son grow from a tiny high-risk newborn into this wild 8-year-old boy, and he has watched my daughter grow into almost a teenager. He knows my kids, he talks TO them and not just over them, and he makes them feel safe. As a mom, that means everything to me. He is family friendly, honest, kind, funny, and just real. He never makes you feel dumb for asking questions and never makes you feel rushed. I truly trust him with my kids, and after 8 years I can say that with my whole heart. I really wish they made more doctors like Dr. Sheedy. We are so lucky he walked into our lives when he did!

Came in with alot of pain, but was greeted by many friendly faces. Good bed-side manner by all employees. Kept me informed frequently on my progress, and kept comfortable as best that they could. I left with the medications I needed and full instructions what to do when I get home. Follow up appt was scheduled the next day. Great care here if you need help when you to see a doctor.

The ER team was excellent. The nurses and doctors that cared for my mother for 10 days on the third floor were amazing. An Amazing group of caring kind individuals, doing an excellent job in a very difficult environment. No one wants to be in the hospital, but you made it as easy as possible. You even have good food. I was very hesitant for years to start methadone maintenance because of the stygma- none of which were true. This place saved my life. I’ve been coming to Waukesha comprehensive treatment center for more than 2 years. I love coming here . The staff are amazing and they care immensely about their patients. Jeff the director is awesome and goes above and beyond for everyone to help them succeed. After years of feeling scared and numb, this place gave me a sense of safety I hadn’t felt in forever. It was women-only, which helped me open up without fear. The staff understood trauma, really listened without judgement. I started to feel like a mom again, like I mattered. Could’ve used more time on parenting stuff, but it was still powerful. I left feeling stronger, like I actually had a future again.

I came in broken from PTSD and alcohol and wasn't sure this place could help. They surprised me. Had real therapy that went deep, not just surface stuff. EMDR hit hard but helped me sleep again. Talkin with other vets made me feel less alone. Docs knew what they were doing too. Only thing I’d change is more group time. Still, I walked out stronger than I came in. Real thankful for that.

Came here after struggling with pain meds from a work injury. WCS got me set up on Suboxone, which made a big difference. I appreciated being able to stay in touch with my wife and kids throughout, that really kept me grounded. They also helped me start thinking about getting back to work. Not everything was perfect (wait times could be better) but the staff truly care. It’s a solid place if you're serious about getting clean.
