No program is perfect, but Brett and his team care deeply about helping those with the disease of addiction. They understand for many it takes long term intervention and supervision to give those in most need of help the best chance at a real life. I came to the reprieve in 2019 at age 23, certain I would never see age 30. And I turn 30 this Wednesday and it would not have been possible without A Reprieve for men.

I needed to reconnect with a psychiatrist in the state to update my medication/mix. The experience has been awesome and my previous Rx had definitely run its course. Dr Dano made some tweaks to my medication mix and the results have been great. This place saved my life. When I got here I couldn't walk I couldn't talk I didn't even know who I was anymore let alone anything else. They pushed me to get better.i was initially so angry I just wanted to go home but they made me live again. I'm so grateful for the nurses, the doctors, the therapist and even the people that prepared our meals. I feel better than I've felt in years. I'm so happy and thankful for my time at Willowbrooke. My brother is currently an inpatient here, he's set to discharge soon. The nurses have been so great with updating us everyday. He's able to call us everyday as well, and we can set video calls. He states that the nurses have treated well, and they have group session and they even have a gym where he says he works out. We've def seen improvement so thank you to the nurses for being so kind and working with us.

I started going to the methadone clinic after my daughter was born. I have never been arrested and I figured it would be really hard to be a dad while in active addiction. That was in 2001. I've moved around to different places, Gadsden, Trussville, Tuscaloosa and others. I really loved the people in Tuscaloosa and hated leaving. I had to return to the Oxford area, to help with my mom who was terminal with cancer. When I transferred back to Oxford they were great. I loved the staff. At one point they were down to a skeleton crew, they did the best they could at the time with what they had. They have gotten more staff now and they are wonderful. I don't feel like my number so much. Yes, they are strict on the rules but look at what they deal with. I can manipulate just about anyone as an active addict. We all have that power. It comes with the territory. Thank you everyone at the Oxford,Al clinic.

My fiancé currently does not have insurance and is unemployed at this time. I called Pathways on Monday and asked if they saw patients without insurance and the girl, her name was Ashley I believe, was very helpful and let me know that they do see patients without insurance and walked me through how to get him in. We went to the Department of Labor on Monday and got his income verification, then went to Pathways Tuesday morning early as a walk-in because that’s what you have to do to be seen for free. We got lucky and he was seen within 30 minutes of getting there! Every person that works there was pleasant and friendly. The staff at the front were friendly to every patient that came in, and they actually seemed to enjoy their jobs, and truly care about making sure patients got the help they need. I heard them communicate with people over the phone as well, and they were friendly and helpful. I have a lot of experience with doctor’s offices, and worked in many myself, and it is refreshing to be greeted by friendly, helpful, non- judgmental staff. Thank you SO much for your help today, you have no idea how much it means to me personally, but to my fiancé as well. 🙏🏻

I’ve always had issues transferring to a VA when I move. The staff there not only got me a walk in appointment to mental health, but also got me a intake appointment in like 5 minutes, to make Newnan my main office. Very nice staff and very good with patients

This was my first time using the VA for medical and it was a pleasant experience. I requested an appointment online and was called a couple of days later to confirm the date and time. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The front secretary wasn’t exactly warm, but otherwise everyone was very friendly. Dr. Bigoms and the staff at the eye clinic took their time with me and made me feel like I mattered. That doesn’t happen often in healthcare anymore, unfortunately.

We have been with Tanner for 3 years now and have been through our fair shares of different staff members in that short time. The only and I mean only staff member that I have always been able to count on is Maggie Norton at the Carrollton location.
