My fiancé currently does not have insurance and is unemployed at this time. I called Pathways on Monday and asked if they saw patients without insurance and the girl, her name was Ashley I believe, was very helpful and let me know that they do see patients without insurance and walked me through how to get him in. We went to the Department of Labor on Monday and got his income verification, then went to Pathways Tuesday morning early as a walk-in because that’s what you have to do to be seen for free. We got lucky and he was seen within 30 minutes of getting there! Every person that works there was pleasant and friendly. The staff at the front were friendly to every patient that came in, and they actually seemed to enjoy their jobs, and truly care about making sure patients got the help they need. I heard them communicate with people over the phone as well, and they were friendly and helpful. I have a lot of experience with doctor’s offices, and worked in many myself, and it is refreshing to be greeted by friendly, helpful, non- judgmental staff. Thank you SO much for your help today, you have no idea how much it means to me personally, but to my fiancé as well. 🙏🏻

| Embark Behavioral Health - Alpharetta is part of a nationwide network of outpatient centers and residential programs that specialize in mental health issues, including substance use disorders. At their Alpharetta, Georgia, location they serve preteens, teens and young adults ages 12 to 28. They’ve been working with youth for over 25 years. Locate | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Honest rating of overall facility.
This place was genuinely a life changer for me, and I could see that in other kids there as well. I loved almost every therapist there, and most of the kids were friendly. I really liked the adolescent room because it was spacious, and it was always clean. The bathrooms never had any paper towels, but other than that the restrooms were very clean. Honestly, I can't ever remember a time that the facility was dirty or cramped.
Honest rating on each therapist.
Ashley - Ashley is awesome! During my time at Embark, Ashley ran most of our groups. She was so kind, and compassionate. I feel like she genuinely perused this kind of work because it's her passion to help people. She always listened and made sure everybody got a chance to talk. She also is very observant, and checks in if you're not having the best day. Which is really nice sometimes to know somebody notices and cares is comforting.
David - David is also a really cool guy. He ran group often. He can be a little bit rough sometimes, but everybody has different ideas on how to do things. For example, if you were sleeping during therapy, he'd bang on the table, which can be a trigger for some people. He can also be a little bit strict sometimes, for example taking the markers, or popsicle sticks that we're aloud to have with every other therapist. From what I heard he does really well as an individual, or family therapist. Overall, I think he genuinely is passionate about his job, is a good person, and cares a lot about the kids even if it might not seem it sometimes.
Elvin - Awesome dude! Elvin was genuinely so kind and always energetic. I think he wrote prescription medicine, and if you have any problems with that, he gets it resolved very fast. He only did group sometimes for adolescents when I was there, but when he did an amazing job in my opinion. He's genuinely such a cool dude he will talk to you about literally anything, he's an open book and has some pretty cool stories!
Myron - Myron was my individual and family therapist. Genuinely such a cool, funny, nice dude! I really enjoyed my individual therapy sessions with him, and he was the first therapists I felt I ever made progress with. He didn't do group much, so I can't really say if he's good at it, but I'm sure he is! He really cares about his patients.
Jamonica - Jamonica was someone who also did groups quite often. Her energy is so great, and she was soooo kind to me while I was there. She's such a sweet person, and you can really tell how passionate about her job she is. I've also heard she's an amazing individual and family therapist.
Lauren - I rarely ever talked to her. She rarely did group for the adolescents, but some of the other adolescents said she's an amazing individual therapist. I didn't not talk to her for any specific reason; she just didn't do group much and primarily was in her office. I talked to her maybe once or twice, and when I did, she was nice.
Maya - She ran group occasionally and was perfectly fine. She wasn't my personal favorite therapist, but not for any bad reason. I didn't really love the skills she taught, and how she taught them, but nothing against her at all. I'm not sure if she's an individual therapist.
Med management (Dr. Hooper) - Dr. Hooper is super friendly, and really good at finding the right medication fits for you. Php meets with her once every week, while Iop meets with her once every 2 weeks.
Maria - Maria is also a nice lady. I'm honestly not sure what she does, but when I was enrolling, she did the paperwork and stuff. You will also take outcomes, which ask you questions about how you're dealing with anxiety, depression, etc. She has access to those outcomes, so 100% feel free to ask her to take a look at them!
Overall, I think the staff is awesome!
Please check bags better, Embark. The bag checking is honestly a joke. There are people who deal with all kinds of things, and not saying anything would happen but please check better just in case.
Goodbye, Team Embark, I'll miss you guys!

We have been on a mental health journey with our daughter for quite some time. Nothing ever seemed to click, and past PHP programs caused only more harm and trauma with no healing. Since joining the Embark program we can see glimmers of it working. I know that she feels safe here, and has confidence in her care (as do we). We attended a family night and when they say family they clearly include the caregivers and staff along with the patients and their family. I say this because the whole vibe was joy and love. I couldn't be happier (or more relieved) about our choice.

They offer supervised medical treatment to safely manage withdrawal sympt | Treatments Payment Options | I had the privilege of working at Centered Recovery Programs in Roswell, GA, and I cannot say enough good things about my experience there. From the very beginning, I was struck by the authenticity and heart behind the program. Their mindfulness-based approach to recovery is unlike anything I’ve seen—compassionate, effective, science based, and focused on getting to the root of challenges so that real and lasting change is possible.
Working with the owners, Reed and Krista, was an absolute pleasure. They lead with integrity and a true passion for their work, the people they serve, and their employees. Krista is incredibly knowledgeable about the science behind human behavior and has a gift for educating clients in a way that’s fun, easy to connect with, and apply. I learned so much from her and from the program overall. Reed has an extraordinary ability to connect with everyone he meets, making them feel welcome, cared for and seen—whether it’s a casual conversation that makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend, or a deeper exchange that helps people of all ages and backgrounds navigate life’s struggles.
The staff was equally wonderful—supportive, professional, and genuinely caring. And the clients inspired me daily with their vulnerability, courage, and openness. Their testimonies often went beyond addiction, touching on the struggles we all face as human beings. Watching them overcome hardships, form bonds, and grow into healthier, more fulfilled versions of themselves was both powerful and humbling.
It was truly comforting to work in an environment where people care deeply—not only for clients, but for one another’s well-being—and where everything is done with others’ best interests at heart. Being part of Centered Recovery is an experience I feel so grateful to have had, and it will continue to impact me for the rest of my life.
Centered Recovery Programs is more than just a treatment center—it’s a community built on compassion, mindfulness, and transformation. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking real, meaningful recovery.

Very nice facility. Had the opportunity to drop off staff. You pull up to the front gate. I was given a key card to swipe at the right panel with red line. Make sure to pull up to the white line and upon exit you have one option to leave out the same gate.Looking at the panel on the left to push what looks like a white circle, speak with security and it's at the discretion of security to watch you on the camera to pull up to the white line to let you out. Seems like a very acoustic place with the train track, nowhere near 140 decibels per OSHA due to the buffers perpendicular to the front gate. We appreciate your business with your high quality roads.

During the admissions process I searched google far and wide hoping that I would find some actual advice other than the website and all of the vague reviews, now after receiving treatment from VBH I have decided to make this review for anyone who might be looking for advice on a long term facility such as The Village.
For starters you should know that the photos are very outdated, however as you can imagine with mental health facilities money can be kind of tight and there are other things that require attention. the facility is still nice but it's also not the Hampton's so don't walk in expecting it to be a luxury resort, it's also NOT A SUMMER CAMP!! This is something that I feel really needs to be clarified, now even though it's not a summer camp The Village offers many recreational activities that can be earned by maintaining respectful behaviors.
Despite some of the bad reviews the staff are super amazing as long as you are respectful and don't start problems. tip of advice, If you want your treatment to be short and go well don't be disrespectful and maintain good behaviors and if a peer gives you problems DO NOT MAKE IT WORSE. The food is like school lunch food it's not amazing but some of the food is good, typical food favorites consist of chicken nuggets, corn dogs, burgers, chicken tenders, ETC.
Also the first few weeks are going to be rough, mainly because your away from home and it's a huge adjustment, but if you are struggling, the village is SO worth it if you put in the effort to make it worth it!!

Hi! I was asked to leave a review upon our daughter’s discharge. Let me start off by saying, the therapist Lavanya was PHENOMENAL!! She is probably one of the few competent therapists there. I will also add Ms. Jare'asa Turner was amazing and even validated our concerns and issues.
Now for the real review.. This place has been a nightmare. Our daughter has trauma and various issues of her own. She also has her own behavioral issues.
This place has done nothing but encourage bad behaviors, provide ZERO accountability for actions, and more. “Consequences” include almost (but not actually) missing out on fun events, “time outs” on their beds (aka just sit in your bed and don’t talk to anyone), and others. Our daughter physically hurt another patient UNPROVOKED, and she had no consequences (our daughter was 1000% in the wrong and we tried to voice our frustration over no consequences).
This place provides ZERO communication. Unless it came directly from our daughter’s mouth, we didn’t know about things that went on- this includes doctors visits, any incidents or behavioral issues, medication changes, etc.
Our daughter was there from roughly May 15-September 1. Their school operates almost year round, with a few weeks breaks here and there. During the time our daughter was here, they only had a 2 week summer break. Our daughter did not even START schoolwork until almost August. The head over the education department, Teresa Sparks, waited until late July to even request transcripts for our daughter to see what classes she needed. Our daughter got MAYBE a months worth of schoolwork completed in almost 4 months timeframe.

They medically detoxed me and did everything that was promised in a one on one phone call with the owner…twice, because I called back not believing him the first time.
In a couple months I’ll celebrate 2 years of major health gains physically, mentally and spiritually.
I tried all of the traditional avenues and this is the only thing that worked.
Love and strength, ARC!!!

Without hesitation, Accelerated is a 5 star. If you're an adult who is motivated to quit drinking, this place could save your life. The approach is based on scientific research and evidence on what actually works for people with addiction. You have 1:1 therapy for most of the day, have an elimination diet to reset your bodily systems including the right supplements to replenish your health, engage in mindfulness activities like meditation, personal training, and events in nature. You're treated like an adult - you stay in a hotel instead of bunked up with multiple other people, you go to a beautiful home-like setting during the day for 1:1 therapy from excellent master's and PhD level therapists, they don't steal your electronics or force you to do anything you don't want. It's the whole package real deal. It's what's been lacking in alcohol treatment for many years. This isn't the place to force someone to come. They're not going to lock the doors on you, or force you to sit through endless AA meetings. But if you're a somewhat functioning alcoholic and WANT to go, then it could save your life and your future and your relationships.

I chose this location at random back in Aug ‘23 because I had been dealing with what felt like “higher-than-normal” levels of anxiety for a couple of years. I noticed increased irritability, and overthinking many daily tasks and common life events that I never worried about in the past. I had never really been an anxious person. After taking care of and watching my mother pass from early-onset Alzheimers, I knew it would be in my best interest to talk to a specialist. Little did I know that my life would change after speaking with someone for just a few months. Troy taught me how to process my grief in a systematic way that made sense to me. Today was my last session with him, and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. I will forever be an advocate of therapy because of this experience. Thank you Troy!

I have been a patient for almost 4 years. My doctors are Dr Hall and Dr Anderson and have both been great. They have helped me through my terminal cancer diagnosis, my fathers death to cancer and my moms dementia. I've had a lot on my plate and these woman became the friends I needed that I could share all my secrets with. There have been many ups and downs and I've left every appointment feeling cleansed. All of my appoints have been remote from the comfort of my home. They have always been on time and have only had one cancelation. I have never had my meds increased without a lot of thought and conversation about how I'm coping. I really appreciate both of these ladies for helping me through the hardest time of my life.
