I am not an alum of Life Skills but I have 9 years clean and sober. I come to the Deerfield Life Skills location a number of times per month to share my experience, strength, and hope in their Thursday “Life after Lifeskills” meeting. It’s an evening meeting that’s been introduced through their Alumni Program where speakers like myself who are in long-term recovery come in and talk with the clients on things that happen in the real world after treatment and how to navigate the transition. I think it’s a great bonus to the programming as it offers a different perspective than the clinical groups and it allows for interaction between clients and alumni, something that was significant in my early recovery. The group rooms here and big and spacious and very comfortable for many people to join. There is a beautiful outdoor area where clients can socialize outside of groups, including a pingpong table, corn hole, pickleball and a nice-sized pool. I have had the pleasure of speaking with two of the techs, Marcia and Mark, on multiple occasions and they are nothing but kind and caring and it’s clear they really take pride in the work that they do! I would highly recommend this place to anyone in need of mental health and/or drug and alcohol treatment.

I could say a million things, but what I will say is this place saved my life. They really care. They get to the root of the problem, they don’t do a quick band aid fix. When I first arrived from Georgia I only intended to stay for residential but I went to php and graduated and I am now in sober living. I am truly thriving. My clinician through treatment was Shifra and no words could describe the role she played in my treatment. I never questioned not once if she cared. She is amazing, along with all the staff they know you by name and they love you. I was scared at first with the unknown of treatment. I felt the care th staff has, even Gus. I learned a lot from his groups. My clinician, Mrs. Deborah, was amazing! She knew what I needed and made sure everyone was taken care of with any issues. I enjoyed my roommates had a blast just hanging out and talking. I couldn’t have asked for a better place. I’m over 5 months sober and can’t wait for my year anniversary because I want to be apart of this program and help others. I would love to build a career here and that’s my goal. Highly recommend!!

i came here two years ago it was my third attempt to get sober and it stuck. in all my worst times music always helped pull me through and although i couldn’t have my phone they gave me an ipod and uploaded my favorite artists and it gave me so much comfort. a lot of the staff are also in recovery so i trusted them and you can tell they actually care and want to see you get better. i love this place very much <3

This place is great made the right choice in going here. Megan was an amazing therapist who pushed me in ways others have not. The facilitators were amazing. Remix with Tyler and Mariah were by far some of the most impactful groups I’ve been apart of. The food was always on point which is always a huge benefit. The entire kitchen staff was amazing. Sarah and Chae not only provided some of the best food I’ve eaten but also were quick to make me feel at home having long talks after the dinner rush to going as far as making me chicken noodle soup when I was sick. The techs were awesome, Sammy is an absolute gangster and Keelie not only severed as the first person most people were welcomed by but one of the cheeriest and happy people that RU is lucky to have as a face of the company. If you or a loved one struggling I can not recommend this place enough. (Also has a nice gym if you are into that)

My time at prevail was very beneficial for me. It allowed me to look at my life from a different perspective. It was about to focusing solely my addiction and the root of the problem. Facilitators and house staff are outstanding professionals in their field and give you the tools to heal if you allow them to help you. You are given task and exercises to exam your and make better decisions going and finding other outlets besides substance abuse. The curriculum can be intense and you have to face things in your past that are hard to deal with. Prevail can help you deal with the issues group sessions and allowing to go to outside meetings where you will find people who have similar stories. Prevail was a great program. Multiple different group facilitators throughout the week kept it unique and engaging. We would go on fun outings once a week and getting to the gym and building connections at meetings rlly aided my recovery. This place and the people at Bright Futures are truly something special. I’ve been through multiple rehab centers, and while each offered something helpful, I always ended up back in the same cycle—drinking, isolating, losing myself. I came to Bright Futures broken, scared, and exhausted—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. It wasn’t just the substance use that nearly destroyed me, it was the lack of hope.
From the very first phone call, I felt like I wasn’t just another intake. I spoke with someone who took the time to listen to my story, answer my questions about detox placement, insurance, and what to expect from PHP. I was skeptical at first. I didn’t believe in myself. But Bright Futures believed in me before I could.
When I arrived at the facility in Boynton Beach, I was immediately welcomed with warmth and zero judgment. I was assigned a case manager, Jennifer, who not only kept my treatment organized but supported me emotionally every step of the way. She helped coordinate everything—from therapy sessions to aftercare planning to helping me talk to my family again.
My primary therapist, Matt, made an enormous impact. He didn’t just run through a script—he took the time to dig deep with me, identify my trauma, and help me develop real coping skills. We worked through things I had buried for years. The group therapy sessions led by Ashley were raw and transformative. She created a safe space where I could share, cry, and most importantly—heal.
Melissa, part of the support staff, always made sure I was okay. Some days I didn’t need therapy—I just needed someone to sit with me or remind me to eat. Carlos, one of the techs in the sober living side, treated me like a human being when I was at my worst. They didn’t just do their jobs—they genuinely cared.
The clinical structure here is solid. I was placed in a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) after detox, then moved into outpatient therapy and continued working on myself while staying in the sober living housing they set me up with. The facility was clean, the food was good, the housing felt safe, and the schedule helped me rebuild my routine.
The best thing about Bright Futures isn’t just the therapy or the services—it’s the people. Everyone from leadership to the cleaning staff seemed committed to helping us succeed. There were no shortcuts. Just honesty, consistency, and compassion.
I left Bright Futures with a recovery plan, coping tools, a support network, and something I hadn’t had in a long time—hope. I still check in with some of the staff. They didn’t just get me sober; they helped me remember who I am and who I want to be.

I want too give a shout to Jimmy, Neicia, Mercedes, ((ALL THE TECHS)) , The Nurses , And Exiting Planning Staff. Amazing Place They Got Me Through My Darkest Days And Showed Nothing But Real Love. The staff, facilities, food, counselors, nurses, housekeeping-literally every part of what I experienced during my stay at BRC exceeded expectations. I needed help and was willing to receive it and accept where I was at in life at that time. I learned so many valuable life skills at this place when I was a teenager, and I know at the time I didn't want to be there, but I mean, what teenager(in my particular position at the time) would want to be away from their friends and family? I went here when I was a teenager and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Addiction is a cunning, lethal enemy and half of the girls I spent my time here with are either sober, or deceased. This program did not keep me sober but it was an experience Im glad I had.

i was a patient here from 2011-2023…saw many changes over that timeframe, all for the better…back in 2011 this place was about as well-funded and well-run as a Haitian refugee boat (no offense to our Haitian brethren…we all want our freedom)…but when i left in 2023 this place was a tightly run ship and i have to believe that much of the credit for that should go to Tina, the program director.
Methadone saved my life. and i’m forever grateful for everyone at this clinic.
