He said it sounds selfish but he had to do it for himself, but he sees it will relieve my and my wife’s stress and anxiety, give him motivation, help him a good uncle to his new nephew, engage with family and not have to retreat to his bedroom to use. Ms.Shelly and the staff at GVF are AWESOME! That is an understatement if anything. I showed up to this place with broken dreams and yet another relapse after a 15 month program in Mexico. There was something very profound about this whole environment that is presented here. You just feel welcomed and well tooken care of. I wanted to stay so bad. If you are SERIOUS about recovery I highly recommend this place. They mean it when they say they are there for you. I wanted to thank the staff, Erica, Tommy, Jeff, Rick, James, TGia, Dr. Payne, Bailey, ahhhh, and everybody else for believing in me and ensuring they believe in my recovery. I actually finally realized substance isn’t the way to go. The classes and groups and AA meetings both in and OUT of house meant so much. They know what they are doing here and I wish I could say I could go but as I mentioned I’m moving states for personal reasons otherwise I’d stay. This place holds my little heart. I came to Clear earlier this year because of severe depression and entered into its Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The therapists, counselors, and staff were all incredibly supportive, nurturing, and caring. The facility itself is peaceful and homey, further enhancing the whole experience. Because of the dedicated support and care I received at Clear, I am a much happier and focused person who has found new meaning in life. I would recommend the Clear IOP to anyone going through a difficult period of depression. This was the first time I ever did a IOP styled program so I didn't know what to expect and was completely anxious to start. However, I am so glad I did. Tiana, the program director, was incredibly supportive when I did my intake call and the rest of the team clearly reflect the same values. They matched me with the perfect counselor and therapist who helped me grow more resilient and compassionate towards myself/my struggles. They also picked up on behaviors and little things I said that I didn't even realize I did and asked appriopriate follow up questions, which may sound weird to state but to me, this shows how attentive and passionate the team is. Everyone at Clear fostered an environment that allowed us to bond with each other so I came in alone but I left with a new community to embrace. I can't recommend this facility enough! I was in one of the worst times of my life and this place helped nurse me back to physical and mental health. All the nurses and technicians were very kind and respectful to me. Overall the doctors and staff were extremely kind and helpful. I had a substance abuse problem and they were patient with me finding a treatment center. I had a place to go about a week and a half in, but they let me stay there until I was comfortable with going to a specific facility. I ended up going to the first one that would take me but there patience and understanding for me to find a place that I “wanted” to go meant a lot to me. They treated me like a real person and gave me the love and support that I couldn’t give myself at the time. Thanks to the help of this place, others and God, I have been over 120 days sober and am now in a much better position in my life. Judith Nuccio 1 year ago I was sent here as a 5150 and I do have some critiques of this facility: The food is inedible, and you’re not even given a menu the first 24 hours so you gotta just trust whatever they bring you, they say they’ll hold your clothes for 24 hours but you really got to fight to get it back, the logistics aren’t the greatest, there isn’t really anything to do during downtime, and there isn’t a smoking area for people who use nicotine. However I’m willing to set all of that aside because of how INCREDIBLE the staff was. They are both extremely attentive and caring without being patronizing, they constantly ensure your needs a met, they’re extremely fun to to talk to (even the security), and are by far the greatest mental health team I’ve dealt with. I just really hope Cedar Sinai gives this crew the funding and resources they need to really bring positive change in people’s lives. Jacob Salomon 1 year ago
