I spent a whole month of May at the (refuge) for severe anxiety, severe depression, and severe DPDR. When I got there, I had lost almost 30 pounds because I couldn’t eat and wasn’t leaving the house. When I left there, I still had work to do, but I was able to function again. My therapist Naomi went out of her way on many occasions to help me,, and my psychiatrist Francis work to help me find the right combination and dosage of medication. I really really enjoyed the art therapy with Kelli and the yoga classes were also great. I am gluten-free and the kitchen stuff also went out of their way to make sure that I had options at every meal. I only give it four stars out of five because nothing is perfect… Some of the classes were a little repetitive, but I still got a lot out of them. If you are struggling with mental health issues and seeing a psychiatrist at home is not enough, I would highly recommend The (refuge).

I went to Mending Fences to get help with my debilitating anxiety. From the time I arrived at the facility I was met with friendly and compassionate staff. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe.
Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging!
From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night!
Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! Just to mention, these people try to accommodate me so that I could continue the program - it amazed me how much effort they put in - thanks 🙏
One last thing the facility and the grounds were beautiful! One last thank you to all the staff, techs , therapists and Doctors who helped me 🙏🙏

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support and guidance I received from Pamela over the past several years. When I first began my journey with her, I was struggling with deep trauma from loss and grief, as well as the complexities of addiction. I felt lost and overwhelmed, unsure of how to move forward.
From our very first session, Pamela created a safe and nurturing environment that allowed me to explore my feelings and experiences without judgment. Her compassionate approach and deep understanding of human emotions helped me confront painful memories and begin to heal. With her expert guidance, I learned to let go of the burdens of my past and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Pamela equipped me with tools and insights that transformed my perspective on life and pain. She taught me that it's possible to rebuild and move forward, no matter how heavy the past may feel. Thanks to her support, I have emerged as a completely different person—stronger, more resilient, and ready to embrace life.
I’m thrilled to share that I have started a new chapter with a loving partner and am in the process of building a new home. I truly feel like I am putting my life back together, and I owe a significant part of this transformation to Pamela.
If you are navigating your own pain and suffering, I wholeheartedly recommend Pamela Hand. Her wisdom, empathy, and dedication to her clients are unparalleled. She has the power to help you find the light at the end of the tunnel and guide you toward a fulfilling life.
Thank you, Pamela, for everything you have done for me!

I do not have many bad things to say about this place. Yes, it is an old building, but the staff and process were not a problem for me.
I was there for 15 days and the last 7 were voluntary.
Yes, the towels are small and the toiletries are basic, but the staff while I was there left the towels out so you could grab as many as you needed (def need at least 2). The snacks were plentiful and of a good variety. The staff were very friendly and caring and felt like they really cared about you getting better.
They also allowed for outside time on the patio or out in the courtyard. We had outside time almost daily, if not daily. The weather was just beautiful each day and a much needed warm up bc they do keep it cold (bring a jacket/sweater if u can). The staff also let you freely go to your room if you were cold, which I've been at a different facility where they did not allow you in your rooms during the day.
They offered music therapy while outside, groups during the week which included a guided medication, a session with the Chaplin and their in-house massage therapist who led us in some light stretching one day on the patio. We also had gym time almost daily where you can play basketball, volleyball, access to yoga mats, and more music.
The most valuable thing for me was them letting us have access to our rooms any time of the day bc I was very cold much of the time and did not have a sweater and the sitting room does stay cold. Also, especially if someone is extra groggy bc of meds, they dont force you to sit thru it in the sitting area like other facilities. This was so valuable to me who is someone who is sensitive to meds and Not a morning person. They also do rounds to every room about every 10 min to keep close watch over the patients, which undoubtedly saves lives.
And they have plenty of everything so do not feel shy about asking for extra. Just "ask and ye shall receive". And I did not get the religious pressure like another review reported.
Going to the cafeteria was the highlight of the day. I thought the food was good and for being there 15 days, they never duplicated a lunch or dinner meal. The variety was amazing. But they do keep it healthy, and rightfully so. So low sodium, low fat, low calorie. No weight gained, no weight lost. Coffee is also available every morning and in the cafeteria at breakfast, which was also a plus.
It is an older facility and the beds are not great, but you can ask for an extra pillow or blanket and they have cleaning staff come thru daily to keep things clean and there were no bugs. I saw them pressure washing the outside areas twice while I was there.
The last thing I will say that was a con was the nurse that dresses in all white. She does not seem to be very useful for anything other than trying to hinder your progress so stear clear of her if you can.
Otherwise, I would recommend this location just as well as any other, if not more so. I gave it 4 stars only bc of the age of the facility (which honestly cant be helped) and the less than stellar toiletries/showering experience (the shower curtain is affixed with velcro so it does come loose easily and water will flood the floor outside, the small towels, and sometimes the hot water will run low and may have only a warm shower).
I am very thankful for the staff here. Thank you to those who go above and beyond, I hope you know who you are.

CRC was life-changing and lifesaving for me, I was a patient there in 2007 and I've been clean and sober for 17 yrs, I was given a chance to learn about myself, my life, my addiction, my behavior and my recovery, and so much more, I'm grateful and thankful for Crc and I will never forget this place,

All I have to say is that I decided to go into this rehab on my own. Nobody push me to go. I decided to turn myself in willingly and at no point in time was I ever treated disrespectfully or was I scared in anyway I felt totally comfortable and teachers are awesome. The curriculum was amazing and the overall experience was so good that I almost thought about relaxing is this day that’s how good it was and I highly suggest that anybody that wants to say their life do not think twice about it and just go and do it because it will be the best decision you ever made and it will save your life and it’s like no other program there is out there. I wish there was more programs out there like CRC And I can’t say enough good things about it. I wish they would take me back now but I don’t think they will because I’m clean so but don’t ever feel that it’s like any other place because it’s definitely not. It’s there should be definitely more than one of these facilities in the Pasco County area .

If you ever are ready to get off the drugs you are on, this is the place that will help you get it done. They truly do care and are really trying to help you. Best thing that has happened to me in about 10 years. If you're really ready to get help this is the place to get it. But only if you're ready. Don't waste their time or money. Because if you're not ready I'm sure there's someone else out there who is. So don't take that spot up if you're not serious and ready. Because someone else needs it.
Update; It has been about 6 years and still doing great. It's worth it. If your ready make the call and get the help. They make things so much easier. And make it possible. They have all the tools U need to succeed this time. Good Luck 👌👍😎

| The Guest House is an upscale drug and alcohol rehab facility located in Silver Springs, Florida. They offer detox, inpatient, and outpatient services to people with substance use disorder. They treat people who suffer from mental health conditions and substance abuse issues at the same time. Home to the famous artesian springs, Silver Springs, Fl | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I want to say Mark at The Guest House Ocala is the best therapist I have ever had in my life. I got more from a session with him, than I did seeing an outside therapist for a month. He helped me heal tremendously, more than I thought was possible. I can tell that he genuinely, truly, cares about his clients and is not just here for paycheck. Mark is my therapy dad.
Chris the clinical intern did amazing work and held up the standards that my therapist Mark gave. I was really able to dig deep into my trauma and heal with Chris's help. He also genuinely cares and was there for me whenever I needed him. Chris is more than a staff member to me, he is a friend.
Amazing culinary recipes from the kitchen staff. The food was always delicious and they did a hell of a job.
Case management was amazing. They set me up for success once I leave here. Valentina in case management supported me throughout my guest house journey and gave me a safe place to vent and be myself. It made me realize that there are still kind people out there who I can trust and rely on during hard times.
OG's,/House Managers were amazing and friendly and were always there for me when I needed them. We all grew very close and I spent majority of my time with them because of how friendly and accepting they were. They are one of the aspects that made my stay here truly remarkable. We shared a lot of laughter together for everyday.
Clinical team was incredible at their jobs. They were always there to help me and the community whenever problems arose. They were always friendly and had an open door policy.
Judy Crane was amazing in every sense of the word. She helped me heal through my traumas and helped me heal the relationships with my wife and my dad. She is a miracle worker.

The veterans medical outpatient facility located in Zephyrhills has a very large and important responsibility of taking care of many many veterans that are disabled retired and the list goes on and on speaking for myself I can only say I am amazed that the staff have always provided myself with the best of medical care and treatment and trust me I have had some serious medical treatment provided on my behalf by the VA and I am so proud to be a Navy veteran and to have served my country honorably and now 49 years have passed by after my first visit to a doctor at the James a Haley veterans hospital in Tampa Florida located on Bruce b downs back in those days that hospital was not as large as this satellite clinic here in Zephyrhills and every time I need to go to Tampa for specialty clinics I am so amazed and proud to be able to say now my country serves me by taking care of my medical needs as they promise upon my horrible discharge in 1975. The growth of the James has become so large and modernized with only the best care provided to our veterans by highly trained doctors and the nursing staff is unmeasurable and I can honestly say I cannot recall one veteran complaining of the care they received and I have met many many veterans from the highest rank to the lowest and not ever been disrespected by another veteran and I am proud to say I have witnessed love and respect when these men and women go beyond being just a neighbor as they jump up to help another veteran that is struggling in a wheelchair a cane or a walker that gets assured no man is ever left behind and always delivered to the proper specialty clinic. Every time I have an appointment I can see the love that leaves me with a feeling of Hope for humanity showing just how great and wonderful it is to be an American in this great United States. Now I am looking forward to watch the process of a new medical facility that will be built here in Zephyrhills just behind the CVS drugstore on Gall Blvd and it is a assuring and worthwhile project to spend federal money as everyone realizes that a military veteran gives up so much of his person so that others may live in freedom and happiness 😊
