A lot of people in the mental healthcare system do not understand what it is to be a black man with a mental health condition in this community and I specifically asked for a Doctor Who would understand him, but not take any bullshit and they gave me the utmost perfect doctor ever if you are looking for a real human being who cares enough to listen and figure out the real problem and who actually is so professional at his job professional professionalism is an understatement for him he’s exquisite go see Dr. Sam they take Medicaid insurance and I didn’t know that he would understand my husband as well as he did, but I asked specifically for an African-American male doctor and if that is what you’re looking for who has amazing taste and professionalism. This is your guy like you don’t need to go anywhere else ever again this person cares enough to help my family we are a family of five. My husband is our soul Provider. Our kids are disabled and I homeschool it is a lot on my shoulders to have to deal with my disabled kids and my husband‘s mental health condition and he just took almost all the weight off of them. I have been upset so much I felt like a one, but sanner heads prevailed. 🙂 I was only there for 8 days to detox. If you want to stay for approximately a month. You could do worse. I would have to say the staff is the best part. I had no issues getting anything. The facility is HUGE! They have a nice place to jog or walk. Decent size, clean pool, ample work out area. AA and NA meetings most evenings. In Detox you have a TV in every room. A couple criticisms. The smoking area is a tiny lil afterthought of an area, and you have to wait for certain times to smoke. As you may know there is not a bunch to do in detox, it would be nice to smoke at anytime. Food was great! Be careful, you may get fat. Hope this helped! Oh, one other thing. A small group of workers that seem to get forgotten, Housekeeping crew! They came through every single day and cleaned like they care. I did not feel supported in therapy. Instead, I often felt judged and singled out. Being labeled as “attention seeking” in a clinical setting was not only dismissive, but damaging—especially in a place where people are supposed to feel safe enough to be vulnerable. The overall environment felt unprofessional. There was a lack of respect and, at times, a noticeable tension that made it difficult to trust the staff or the process. Rather than feeling like I was in a space focused on healing, I often felt uncomfortable and on guard. In my opinion, this is not the standard of care people should expect from a residential treatment center. When someone is seeking help, they deserve professionalism, compassion, and a sense of safety—none of which I consistently experienced here. I would not return, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility—especially for women who are early in recovery and need a genuinely supportive environment. The BHT’s, chef Lesa, and supervisor were amazing. This review is more towards clinical and admin staff and their unprofessionalism. I’m choosing to let that part go and focus on what I feel is important to share. What I will say is that there were techs on the floor who truly showed up every day with consistency and heart. There’s one in particular I’m thinking of — I can’t recall his name, it wasn’t the easiest to pronounce — but he carried himself with a level of presence and care that didn’t go unnoticed. The kind of energy you hope to find in a place where people are trying to heal. At the same time, there was an undercurrent that didn’t sit right with me. I experienced what felt like retaliation and a strong sense of control in the dynamics behind the scenes. As someone seeking peace and clarity, that kind of energy can be unsettling. I also noticed a lot of internal tension being spoken about openly around clients. In my view, people in treatment shouldn’t be exposed to staff conflicts or internal issues. That space should feel grounded, safe, and focused on recovery — not influenced by things happening behind the curtain. It’s also worth mentioning that for a place that presents itself in a more holistic light, there seemed to be a strong reliance on medication. That may work for some, but it didn’t align with what I personally expected walking in. I share this not out of anger, but from a place of reflection. Virgina, the Doctors Program Director has been extremely helpful with many diffrent obsticals and she has gone above and beyond to help with everything. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe. Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging! From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night! Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! So finding a doctor has been the biggest hurdle my family’s gone through having my medicine on time losing jobs because of not having my medicine I’ve been scheduled effective since I was 18 and I’ve never found a Doctor Who understood me more. So I called last week to get an appointment with a Doctor Who would be a person who understood my husband. My husband has skiff affective disorder and he is 6 foot nine and he is a mixed black and white man. A lot of people in the mental healthcare system do not understand what it is to be a black man with a mental health condition in this community and I specifically asked for a Doctor Who would understand him, but not take any bullshit and they gave me the utmost perfect doctor ever if you are looking for a real human being who cares enough to listen and figure out the real problem and who actually is so professional at his job professional professionalism is an understatement for him he’s exquisite go see Dr. Sam they take Medicaid insurance and I didn’t know that he would understand my husband as well as he did, but I asked specifically for an African-American male doctor and if that is what you’re looking for who has amazing taste and professionalism. This is your guy like you don’t need to go anywhere else ever again this person cares enough to help my family we are a family of five. My husband is our soul Provider. Our kids are disabled and I homeschool it is a lot on my shoulders to have to deal with my disabled kids and my husband‘s mental health condition and he just took almost all the weight off of them. I’m so happy that I found this doctors office.

My stay was 30 days July-August. Best decision I've ever made and not my first rodeo. Sabal Palms equipped me with everything I needed. An amazing staff! Administration, nursing, BHT's, cooks, therapist's, group sessions, therapy one-on-one's and a great cleaning team! All amazing! There's a swimming pool, water volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, football! Walking/jogging paths in the beautiful woods next to the campus! Meaninful AA meetings every evening, (not mandated, but different leaders coming in each meeting.) The campus is breathtaki ng. I've gained lifelong friends with some awesome peers walking the same path towards the same goal! Sabal Palms is a second to none facility and I highly recommend them!

I was one of the 1st set of girls from Rhode Island. I graduated camp in 1984. One of the best counselors was Pam. The program changed me for the good. I remember meeting the Eckerd's at their beach house. Also they had made a commercial and filmed my group and I. So many canoe, hiking trips.. memories lasting a lifetime. When it comes to negative reviews on this facility, you must take into account the clientele and their state of mind. The staff during my stay was professional and courteous. They seemed overwhelmed at times but that happens with how many chaotic eruptions outside of their control occur. The staff handled moments like that with ease and professionalism. They monitor interpersonal relationships well and separate patients preemptively when needed. I'm horrible with names but the driver Ernie who took me home provided deep and insightful conversation to really tie the whole experience together.

When I review a business, I'm of the belief no one is a 5 star and no one is a one star. I have been upset so much I felt like a one, but sanner heads prevailed. 🙂 I was only there for 8 days to detox. If you want to stay for approximately a month. You could do worse. I would have to say the staff is the best part. I had no issues getting anything. The facility is HUGE! They have a nice place to jog or walk. Decent size, clean pool, ample work out area. AA and NA meetings most evenings. In Detox you have a TV in every room. A couple criticisms. The smoking area is a tiny lil afterthought of an area, and you have to wait for certain times to smoke. As you may know there is not a bunch to do in detox, it would be nice to smoke at anytime. Food was great! Be careful, you may get fat. Hope this helped! Oh, one other thing. A small group of workers that seem to get forgotten, Housekeeping crew! They came through every single day and cleaned like they care. Showers were clean and sanitary, floors swept, windows and tables all good!

As someone who works in the behavioral health field, I feel obligated to be honest: my experience at this treatment center was negative and, at times, felt emotionally unsafe. I did not feel supported in therapy. Instead, I often felt judged and singled out. Being labeled as “attention seeking” in a clinical setting was not only dismissive, but damaging—especially in a place where people are supposed to feel safe enough to be vulnerable. The overall environment felt unprofessional. There was a lack of respect and, at times, a noticeable tension that made it difficult to trust the staff or the process. Rather than feeling like I was in a space focused on healing, I often felt uncomfortable and on guard. In my opinion, this is not the standard of care people should expect from a residential treatment center. When someone is seeking help, they deserve professionalism, compassion, and a sense of safety—none of which I consistently experienced here. I would not return, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility—especially for women who are early in recovery and need a genuinely supportive environment. The BHT’s, chef Lesa, and supervisor were amazing. This review is more towards clinical and admin staff and their unprofessionalism.

I spent some time at this facility, and ultimately I had to leave due to a situation that I’d rather not get into. I’m choosing to let that part go and focus on what I feel is important to share. What I will say is that there were techs on the floor who truly showed up every day with consistency and heart. There’s one in particular I’m thinking of — I can’t recall his name, it wasn’t the easiest to pronounce — but he carried himself with a level of presence and care that didn’t go unnoticed. The kind of energy you hope to find in a place where people are trying to heal. At the same time, there was an undercurrent that didn’t sit right with me. I experienced what felt like retaliation and a strong sense of control in the dynamics behind the scenes. As someone seeking peace and clarity, that kind of energy can be unsettling. I also noticed a lot of internal tension being spoken about openly around clients. In my view, people in treatment shouldn’t be exposed to staff conflicts or internal issues. That space should feel grounded, safe, and focused on recovery — not influenced by things happening behind the curtain. It’s also worth mentioning that for a place that presents itself in a more holistic light, there seemed to be a strong reliance on medication. That may work for some, but it didn’t align with what I personally expected walking in. I share this not out of anger, but from a place of reflection. I hope the environment continues to grow in a way that truly supports the people who walk through those doors looking for something better.

I recently saw Dr. Oliva and her staff and I've seen a lot of Doctors over the years but very few have been as awesome as this. Virgina, the Doctors Program Director has been extremely helpful with many diffrent obsticals and she has gone above and beyond to help with everything. She even helped me out during Thanksgiving while she was with her family on the road. Dr. Oliva has been extremly helpful and isn't just there to call the shots but she listens and wants to hear you out and make sure you're happy with you're quality of care. I have nothing but respect and good things to say about Perspectives and staff. My situation was a little diffrent than most but regardless these people care about you!

I wish I could give this more than five stars. I arrived at mending fences being open-minded. I had no idea the impact this would have on my life in such a positive way. I came to this looking for help for alcohol and found I really needed the help with mental health care. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the surroundings are so Serene and peaceful. There are no amount of words I could give for the gratitude I have for what this place is giving me back to me in my life. I am truly grateful. To me there is no amount of money that could ever give me what I retained here at mending fences. This place has been absolutely PRICELESS! I went to Mending Fences to get help with my debilitating anxiety. From the time I arrived at the facility I was met with friendly and compassionate staff. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe. Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging! From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night! Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! Just to mention, these people try to accommodate me so that I could continue the program - it amazed me how much effort they put in - thanks 🙏 One last thing the facility and the grounds were beautiful! We had a loved one in this residence and it really helped her in her healing journey. I would definetely recommend it. Shelly was a star. It takes insurance much better than other places (like the Guest House) so it is affordable, although it also means that you will end being exposed to a more diverse social-economic population from various backgrounds.

This place has helped me in ways I will forever be thankful for. Anytime I call the women at the front desk answer promptly and are incredibly helpful. They are just as nice and helpful in person as well. The security guard always has a smile on his face and definitely brings a strong sense of safety in the building. Latiere Wallace is a smart caring kind woman who listens and offers multiple possible solutions. She never tries to rush me out of her office and she always makes me feel valid and understood. I really appreciate her and everyone else here. Schena in the pharmacy is another incredibly kind woman who gives courtesy calls when I am due for a refill on my prescription. Very low cost professional mental help. You get what you give of this place and as long as you are respectful to the staff they are the kindest most compassionate group of people. Sometimes the lobby can be a bit rowdy but it’s important to keep in mind everyone is either there for help or there to help. Thank you Baycare.

I've been with Quad County for a long time. I have had amazing Counselors. But the one I have now is her name is Melanie Pease. She is like no other councler. She go's far and beyond her job to help me. Melanie Is the reason my recovery goes smoothly and she trys to achieve and help me with my goals in my treatment. To be honest I thank god for giving me a councler that actually cares about the patient and helps us in our recovery. I believe that new season (Quad County) is a good place for the help we need but having a great councler like Melanie makes life and recovery so much smoother.

Go to new season and I know it'll be the best thing you ever did they just continue to get better the new stuff is awesome The new coordinator He's on top of everything and my new counselor Melanie she just rocks it I don't know how I don't know how she has so much care for her patients and will work so hard for them and I like my last counselor but I've not seen this kind of devotion in a counselor besides Julio which I've discovered to be tremendously a helpful person in my life his groups just make you be able to get through the week and there's more than one reason to go to groups you know but the reason mainly is to stay clean and get clean and I called it a life changer now it's a game changer because it's completely changed the way I play my game and I get scared of change of new stuff but new seasons they've got it covered because they hire good people so no matter who you get you're in good hands. I urge people who are trying to decide to go or not and have that scale tipping just tip it on in all you got to do is just take that baby step and then the next baby step after that and then it won't be so hard I just don't want to hear any more about these deaths or families lives being ruined it's it's sad and it took me a long time to see it from the other side it's new season who got me to the other side Melanie she rocks it and Mr Tim he seems very on top of it very professional like I said I just do put this on here because I hope if anybody's facing their recovery on the reviews do it you know do it for you and do it at new season even if you don't get Melanie all the other counselors are good Julio I know he's an excellent counselor I know all of the counselors are great people

I graduated the phoenix house in 2019. The program doesn't focus on Just addictions, but the behavior behind addictions. Unfortunately, most of the people that I went with did not make it because they did not want it bad enough. But out of multiple programs that i've been to, this one will have an everlasting impact on me And my life. I sincerely thank the staff for giving me the best fifteen months.I've ever had. The doctor, my counselor, the front desk people, the dosing nurse at the first window, the intake guy, and especially Gina have all been amazing. I transferred from elsewhere and this place has been absolutely amazing. Easy to follow rules, genuine help, and no stigma for doing what you can to better your life. Gina is the one who does HIV testing. While there she hooked me up with CAN to treat my Hep C. They actually paid my insurance so I could do the treatment. Gina has a super caring and really has made a huge difference in my life. The hep c was chronic and debilitating to me. I can’t give her and PAR enough praise.
