So finding a doctor has been the biggest hurdle my family’s gone through having my medicine on time losing jobs because of not having my medicine I’ve been scheduled effective since I was 18 and I’ve never found a Doctor Who understood me more. Go see Dr. Sam he’s literally the most caring man who really heard me out and listened for the first time ever.

So I called last week to get an appointment with a Doctor Who would be a person who understood my husband. My husband has skiff affective disorder and he is 6 foot nine and he is a mixed black and white man. A lot of people in the mental healthcare system do not understand what it is to be a black man with a mental health condition in this community and I specifically asked for a Doctor Who would understand him, but not take any bullshit and they gave me the utmost perfect doctor ever if you are looking for a real human being who cares enough to listen and figure out the real problem and who actually is so professional at his job professional professionalism is an understatement for him he’s exquisite go see Dr. Sam they take Medicaid insurance and I didn’t know that he would understand my husband as well as he did, but I asked specifically for an African-American male doctor and if that is what you’re looking for who has amazing taste and professionalism. This is your guy like you don’t need to go anywhere else ever again this person cares enough to help my family we are a family of five. My husband is our soul Provider. Our kids are disabled and I homeschool it is a lot on my shoulders to have to deal with my disabled kids and my husband‘s mental health condition and he just took almost all the weight off of them. I’m so happy that I found this doctors office.

I highly recommend the Sabal Palms Recovery Center. It has exceeded my expectations. Sabal Palms is located in Brooksville, Florida. It is a "country" type setting which people from northern states would definitely enjoy. Nature abounds. It is more like a "retreat", rather than just a rehab. Sabal Palms has nice paths around the property, a resort style pool, as well as a tennis court which is also used for half court basketball games. Most importantly, it is a small "retreat" with 20 to 30 clients. All of the patients attend the same group classes. So, you will quickly get to know your classmates. Better yet, all of the staff from the Administrator, Nurses, BHA techs to the Housekeeping and Dining Room staff remember your name. The cooks know what I prefer to drink (green sodas) and what I may not particularly enjoy (sweet potatoes). The food is wonderful! Stephanie's pancakes and French toast are a great way to start the day. Dinner is even better! If you aren't particularly fond of what is being served, you can request something else from a limited menu. I love the egg salad sandwich and the grilled ham and cheese. But, with the menu items you can't go wrong. What impressed me most was the Therapists. As mentioned, it is a small community where everyone knows your name. I learned a lot about myself and addiction in all of the counselors classes/groups. Thanks Nicole, Mackenzie, Bruce, Jelani and Anaiha. I'm also grateful for the nightly AA meetings chaired by local residents who come to lead the meetings. I highly recommend Sabal Palms Recovery Center. It is a great choice for Floridians and an even better "retreat" for out of state folks looking for a tranquil place to better themselves. One piece of advice, bring a few sweatshirts and sweatpants. It does get chilly in sunny Florida! Good Luck in your recovery wherever you choose to go. Sabal Palms should definitely be on your short list. Paul Edward Dowaschinski

I was one of the 1st set of girls from Rhode Island. I graduated camp in 1984. One of the best counselors was Pam. The program changed me for the good. I remember meeting the Eckerd's at their beach house. Also they had made a commercial and filmed my group and I. So many canoe, hiking trips.. memories lasting a lifetime. When it comes to negative reviews on this facility, you must take into account the clientele and their state of mind. The staff during my stay was professional and courteous. They seemed overwhelmed at times but that happens with how many chaotic eruptions outside of their control occur. The staff handled moments like that with ease and professionalism. They monitor interpersonal relationships well and separate patients preemptively when needed. I'm horrible with names but the driver Ernie who took me home provided deep and insightful conversation to really tie the whole experience together.

My experience at Umatilla TRV was mixed, but one person who genuinely stood out to me was Chris Fields, the Financial Manager. Chris was one of the best advocates for clients that I encountered. He was patient, understanding, and willing to actually listen and help when I had concerns. He made an effort to explain things clearly and treated me with respect, which made a real difference during a difficult time. I truly appreciate the way Chris advocates for clients and goes beyond simply doing his job. His compassion, professionalism, and willingness to help definitely deserve recognition. Overall, I’m giving my experience 4.5 stars, with Chris being a major reason for that rating.

Best thing that has happened to me in about 10 years. If you're really ready to get help this is the place to get it. But only if you're ready. Don't waste their time or money. Because if you're not ready I'm sure there's someone else out there who is. So don't take that spot up if you're not serious and ready. Because someone else needs it. Update; It has been about 6 years and still doing great. It's worth it. If your ready make the call and get the help. They make things so much easier. And make it possible. This place has helped me in ways I will forever be thankful for. Anytime I call the women at the front desk answer promptly and are incredibly helpful. They are just as nice and helpful in person as well. The security guard always has a smile on his face and definitely brings a strong sense of safety in the building. Latiere Wallace is a smart caring kind woman who listens and offers multiple possible solutions. She never tries to rush me out of her office and she always makes me feel valid and understood. I really appreciate her and everyone else here. Schena in the pharmacy is another incredibly kind woman who gives courtesy calls when I am due for a refill on my prescription. Very low cost professional mental help. You get what you give of this place and as long as you are respectful to the staff they are the kindest most compassionate group of people. Sometimes the lobby can be a bit rowdy but it’s important to keep in mind everyone is either there for help or there to help. Thank you Baycare.

Getting treatment for PTSD and Trauma is hard to admit to. Going there and being traumatized by outside family members while I was suppose to be healing made the experience even more difficult. My complaints about The Refuge relate to employees clearly not train to care for patients struggling with disorders in mental health. I had a cardiac episode that was barely addressed and if I was lucky, I could see a medical provider once a week even though I understand vitals and voiced for 2 weeks something was wrong. The nurses held an "I know more than you mentality" despite me treating them with patience and respect and having experience in the medical field. The only reason I am giving this place 5 stars is because the therapist themselves and the CEO took my concerns seriously and genuinely cared about healing those who took the program seriously. It kind of seemed like each therapist held a specific personality so clients could learn to both tolerate different personality types, and not let those personalities that they were not compatible with cause them to spiral. Don't get me wrong, there were some therapists and staff members I dreaded dealing with. I quickly realized that if I wanted the program to work and chose to make the sacrifice of prioritizing my healing process. I faced the struggles of being away from my children and having attacks from my closest relatives attempting to sabotage my treatment. The clients there provided support and understanding in a safe environment where I likely would have given up if I wasn't there. I quickly realized that respect towards the staff and accountability to use the tools taught to me was the only way to heal. Sitting around complaining like other clients and expecting to be catered to by complaining about the services would get you no where. I reached a limit with my own therapist but when I started unwrapping buried memories from my childhood, my safe person became Shelley (clinical director) and Stephanie (CEO). You can tell Shelley lives for helping those struggling and Stephanie set the example of leadership that is rare to find these days. Her undercover boss personality to correct the wrongs/complaints about The Refuge often left me wondering when this woman ever went home. The only complaint I submitted pertained to a case manager and Stephanie was immediately on it, as was Shelley. Both made me feel heard when I previously had the habit of shutting down. I left The Refuge feeling like I was worthy of love and being able to love myself. Where I previously protected others, I gained the confidence and tools to protect myself. I never knew trauma was something that could be worked through. I'd always thought it was something I had to carry my whole life and learn to live with. Every business in the world has it's flaws but if you apply yourself while waiting for answers or assistance from therapist and staff members juggling a number of patients, you will progress and leave with something. I left stronger and feeling like a leader. I learned to never judge anyone and even people with a record or past deserve love and grace. People there are seeking help to change and not repeat patterns and I give the utmost respect. Thank you to The Refuge, Stephanie, and Shelley (honorable mention to Jana and Bonnie (who left to chase her dreams)) for restoring my faith in humanity.

The Refuge helped save my life. Just being away from stress helped my depression and anxiety. Certain staff members and clients were part of my healing process. I devoted to eating a healthy diet and started lifting weights again. I've lost 60 lbs and still lift, walk/jog and now I'm walking with a 30 lb rucking backpack. I've been more engaged with my 3 kids and web we've done some really tough hikes. I still have to rise from the ashes because I'm dealing with stuff at home. I'm a hundred and thirty one days sober. I recently saw Dr. Oliva and her staff and I've seen a lot of Doctors over the years but very few have been as awesome as this. Virgina, the Doctors Program Director has been extremely helpful with many diffrent obsticals and she has gone above and beyond to help with everything. She even helped me out during Thanksgiving while she was with her family on the road. Dr. Oliva has been extremly helpful and isn't just there to call the shots but she listens and wants to hear you out and make sure you're happy with you're quality of care. I've been with Quad County for a long time. I have had amazing Counselors. But the one I have now is her name is Melanie Pease. She is like no other councler. She go's far and beyond her job to help me. Melanie Is the reason my recovery goes smoothly and she trys to achieve and help me with my goals in my treatment. To be honest I thank god for giving me a councler that actually cares about the patient and helps us in our recovery. Go to new season and I know it'll be the best thing you ever did they just continue to get better the new stuff is awesome The new coordinator He's on top of everything and my new counselor Melanie she just rocks it I don't know how I don't know how she has so much care for her patients and will work so hard for them and I like my last counselor but I've not seen this kind of devotion in a counselor besides Julio which I've discovered to be tremendously a helpful person in my life his groups just make you be able to get through the week and there's more than one reason to go to groups you know but the reason mainly is to stay clean and get clean and I called it a life changer now it's a game changer because it's completely changed the way I play my game and I get scared of change of new stuff but new seasons they've got it covered because they hire good people so no matter who you get you're in good hands. I urge people who are trying to decide to go or not and have that scale tipping just tip it on in all you got to do is just take that baby step and then the next baby step after that and then it won't be so hard I just don't want to hear any more about these deaths or families lives being ruined it's it's sad and it took me a long time to see it from the other side it's new season who got me to the other side Melanie she rocks it and Mr Tim he seems very on top of it very professional like I said I just do put this on here because I hope if anybody's facing their recovery on the reviews do it you know do it for you and do it at new season even if you don't get Melanie all the other counselors are good Julio I know he's an excellent counselor I know all of the counselors are great people

I came to this looking for help for alcohol and found I really needed the help with mental health care. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the surroundings are so Serene and peaceful. There are no amount of words I could give for the gratitude I have for what this place is giving me back to me in my life. I am truly grateful. To me there is no amount of money that could ever give me what I retained here at mending fences. This place has been absolutely PRICELESS! I went to Mending Fences to get help with my debilitating anxiety. From the time I arrived at the facility I was met with friendly and compassionate staff. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe. Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging! From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night! Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! Just to mention, these people try to accommodate me so that I could continue the program - it amazed me how much effort they put in - thanks 🙏 One last thing the facility and the grounds were beautiful! THE CLEANING/LAUNDRY STAFF ARE ALL GREAT AT THERE JOBS. THE MEDICAL STAFF ARE VERY GOOD AT MAKING YOU FEEL BETTER. JASON WITH ADMISSIONS WAS EXCELLENT AT GETTING INFORMATION I NEEDED. You will not find better anywhere because all the best are working here. From the councilors like Raven, Kassi, Jessica and Evelyn to the wonderful nurses Tina, Chandra, and Mary (they are the best part of my day)who ensure that you not only get what you are prescribed but also that you are feeling your best. Not only will you never be shamed and only encouraged and motivated by staff but they truly are rooting for you. If you want to succeed and feel your best then you should be treated by the best and they are all here. Added bonus is that you can receive full panel blood screening to make sure that you don't just think you are ok but know that you are. I am the hardest stick and worst to draw blood from but Nay is the absolute best vein expert I have ever seen. Aside from being the best at their jobs they are some of the best people you'll meet as well

This place is what you make of it. If you make problems you will have problems. They will treat you with the same respect you have for them. There's no labels, stigmas or biased stereotyping. Privacy is guaranteed so respect fellow attendees privacy as well. Any staff that is any or all of the above will have a very short career at New Seasons. *Hours: 5am-12pm *Walk-ins are welcome *Much more affordable than the alternative *Most insurances accepted

Help me get through my hardest point in my life. Nurse staff is not there for just a check they actually want you to succeed. Always there to answer questions. The head nurse Chandra is amazing at her job. And counselors like Chrissy go beyond there roles. Without out there support wouldn’t know where I would be right now. If I can give them more 5 stars I would. Thanks again to all of the staff at st Pete metro
