I live in another state now. I came into this place homeless after having been on a 1 year drinking binge, facing 70 years in two states. Initially, I was only here to "hide-out", and then I began seeing all these people come through who had the hope of sobriety. After staying here for one month, I was sober, had hope and turned myself in, that was the start of my current 9 years of sobriety. This is not a facility that is here to make money, it is hardcore and no frills, but looking back it was the best rehab I ever went to, all these places with millions of dollar budgets should take lessons from Turning Point, I will never forget it.

This is a “no-frills”, last stop for someone who is desperate to make it to tomorrow. If you want sobriety, are out of options and are willing to go to any lengths to get it, Turning Point might work for you. Your success rate is commensurate with the amount of effort you are willing to expend, your ability to follow instructions, and the degree to which you are honest with yourself. This place saved my life.

This facility is VERY helpful and sympathetic with low income patients who need a lot of understanding, flexibility and accommodations for scheduling and mental health assistance.
The Suncoast Center's office may not be fancy but it is VERY accommodating when a mental health patient forgets their appointment. You can show up and the staff will work to have someone see you that same day.
If you need a different medication dose or if your prescription has run out, the staff at the facility will work with you so you can get your medication.
Suncoast Center also provides financial assistance programs to low income patients. If you have low income, but don't have any health insurance, Suncoast Center can sign you up for low cost fees (around $10 payments for service appointments).
Suncoast Center also offers free medicine via pharmaceutical company programs for low income patients. For example, certain effective, long acting, anti-psychotic injections are very expensive ($600 to $800 per injection) but if you qualify as low income and fill out the pharmaceutical program paperwork, you can get the effective medication for free.
Suncoast Center provides a lot of helpful information to patients such as, law firms that help patients to get SSI Disability payments and paperwork assistance for patients with severe mental health issues to be removed from jury duty lists.

I have been coming to this center for a while, although there have been some issues with a couple of staff, the good experiences have outweighed the unpleasant ones. The accommodations I've received to feel safe and comfortable are not unnoticed.
Life is too short to be upset at something we can't control and the employees here most of time have no control of the days events. Patience, compassion and kindness go a long way.

42 classes and still didn't get an exit interview.
I was ejected twice from the class and spent two years and $2000 dollars for nothing but a hard time and a hustle.

Absolutely incredible center comprised of staff who actually care. Sally and Alicia went above and beyond from my very first appointment. You're treated with respect and dignity. Neuro has also done everything possible to ensure privacy and efficiency. It's the only clinic/Dr's office that I've ever truly felt comfortable at; which means a lot.
The only aspect I haven't been satisfied with is that the Dr has a "one size fits all," approach when it comes to dosages. Regardless of whether the dosage is actually working for you or not, what your history is, or how long you've been a patient - she's unwilling to consider increases or listen to your rational. That part has been very frustrating and invalidating. Especially considering the monthly cost. I think it's really important to listen/assess patient needs and make reasonable adjustments accordingly. There will always be people who try to take advantage. But that shouldn't impact everyone.
That being said, no center is perfect. I'm very grateful to Sally and Alicia; two absolutely incredible people who put their heart and soul into caring for every patient. I'm happy I found Neuro. It's had a positive impact on my life.

I have been a patient of Neuro Assisted for many years. From the very beginning I was treated with respect. It is a very thorough practice, you are not in and out; the staff although extremely gracious and friendly take their jobs very seriously. It can be costly, since no insurance is accepted at this time - so communicate with them ahead of time. They have always responded to my messages in a timely fashion. Neuro Assisted were and are instrumental on my path to recovery and I am beyond grateful.

Edit: Currently, there is a lack of medical staff, leading to individuals attempting to interpret medical laboratory results without proper training. This practice can result in significant errors and potential legal consequences. For instance, I had my urine sent to the laboratory for verification. Due to dehydration or other factors, my pH screening indicated levels of 9.18, which raised concerns and prompted accusations of tampering with the tests and failing the evaluation. If I were to tamper with the lab results, I would’ve had to use smart water or high alkaline water because toilet water would absolutely not be as basic as the test results would show. So if you logically deduce, the most likely scenario would be that I was just dehydrated or maybe had a UTI. However, the actual results from the laboratory were negative. The laboratory staff lacked the ability to distinguish between accurate and inaccurate interpretations of laboratory work. I have extensive experience working with urologists and interpreting laboratory results, and I can attest to the importance of proper training and expertise in this field.

Absolutely incredible center comprised of staff who actually care. Sally and Alicia went above and beyond from my very first appointment. You're treated with respect and dignity. Neuro has also done everything possible to ensure privacy and efficiency. It's the only clinic/Dr's office that I've ever truly felt comfortable at; which means a lot.
The only aspect I haven't been satisfied with is that the Dr has a "one size fits all," approach when it comes to dosages. Regardless of whether the dosage is actually working for you or not, what your history is, or how long you've been a patient - she's unwilling to consider increases or listen to your rational. That part has been very frustrating and invalidating. Especially considering the monthly cost. I think it's really important to listen/assess patient needs and make reasonable adjustments accordingly. There will always be people who try to take advantage. But that shouldn't impact everyone.
That being said, no center is perfect. I'm very grateful to Sally and Alicia; two absolutely incredible people who put their heart and soul into caring for every patient. I'm happy I found Neuro. It's had a positive impact on my life.

I transferred here just over a month ago from Center for revitalizing psychiatry and I wish I had done it much sooner. The staff here are very attentive and efficient and Dr. Dot was very pleasant as well. They return phone calls and texts within a reasonable time. Very happy to be a patient here now.

Par was a great place overall but when your six months are up you are scrambling to find somewhere to go. They DO NOT help in that area. To be completely honest it was the best rehab I've been to. It's the only one that I've stayed out of trouble since leaving.

How do I begin to write a review about a place that saved my life….no exaggeration! I was supposed to be at another facility, but got to be here. This detox/treatment center is the best of the best. If you want it, you will find it here. The building is so welcoming, the atmosphere is warm, the staff is kind, shares their stories to help you when you need it, groups are very important and focused on each individual. The rooms are big and beautiful! The staff though…I cried when I left. I can’t just name one, they all helped me heal in a way I needed to! So thank you to Shannon, Chloe, Charlotte, Whitney, Mama Susan, Wally, Travis, Natalie, Erin, Jazz, Alex, Spencer, Josh, Vanessa, the nurses at night, and the others!!!! People…the Director of Operations boss…his name is Mike, his dogs name is Charlie, he comes into the facility a few times a week to check on us, how we are, what we need, he knows us by name! Where will you find that??? Go to Still Detox…you won’t regret it, I promise.
Oh, and the food, it’s amazing, but make sure to tell them you don’t want too much chicken. Shannon, the Director, used to be a chef, so she knows good food, it’s catered in, so it’s yummy. If you have a special diet, they accommodate that!!! (This is a picture of myself, Chloe my case manager and Shannon the Director a day before I was leaving, yes I was crying.)

It's difficult to fully articulate the amount of grattitude I have towards Peace Club and the folk directly and inderectly associated with it. Peace club isn't just a place for folks with addictions to dry out get help. At it'sessence place founded out of LOVE. Its a place where in the past and very recent present has been there for me personally. I came here last month because I was having really bad mental health issues that needed to be addressed. I was really nervous and scared to go in for help but the two intake nurses (one was name Kristina I believe) she cared for me and talked to me while I waited for a bed. Going into the unit I was greeted by Jason and he was the ONLY one to call me by the name i wanted, not my full name. Some of the Techs are very nice and some are a bit to much to handle. Dr Brach was great. She listened to me and was willing to hear my story and my trauma. It does get a bit boring in the unit, there was only one group therapy session a day and we get to either go to the gym or outside. You get access to the wireless phones from 9am-10pm but phones get taken during group time. Food wasn’t that bad. Beds were old and mine wasn’t very comfortable but Jason was able to get me an extra blanket to help me even out my bed. Overall I was happy with this place and I HIGHLY recommend if you need help, go here!
