From the moment you arrive at inpatient they do their best to get you in and comfortable. Each day gets easier and there is not one person who couldn't benefit from their MRT program. In outpatient the IOP program and individual counseling teaches and strengthens you by offering a different way to live. The counselors truly care and want to see you succeed. It isn't easy to ask for help and it isn't a sign of weakness. If you're willing to admit you need help, White Sands is the place to turn to. This is not a facility that is here to make money, it is hardcore and no frills, but looking back it was the best rehab I ever went to, all these places with millions of dollar budgets should take lessons from Turning Point, I will never forget it. The facility looks modern and clean and the staff was engaging, kind and nice people. This is the best mental health facility in the entire central western region of the state. As an American I get free top quality health insurance called Medicare A, B & D. The intake staff was very cheerful and engaging and attentive to the patients inside the secure facility. I got my new medicine for behavioral health and I couldn't be more happier with the results. My mood totally changed inside the facility from being completely sour to roaring with joy and comfort and remaining that way throughout my recent mental health journey. I'm usually very happy for about 90% of the time. I preoccupy myself with fun activities like bicycling and basketball but there are certain times that I fall into a hole of anxiety, depression and self doubt around 10% of the time overall but the new medication helps me to balance my mood and I physically feel better after taking my medication. If I ever have another mental health meltdown again I will go directly to this facility for proper healthcare and wellbeing updates. Don't be afraid to ask for help when it comes to mental health. Your mental health is important and you should evaluate yourself honestly and outwardly if ever or whenever you're in doubt ask for help before making a final decision that could end your life prematurely. But is also why I feel need to write our own personal review. My 13 yr old daughter was self harming and agreed willingly to go and seemed eager to get help. So while she was in that space I called around and after calling about 15 people who said either call the cops or bring her to the hospital (neither which I wanted to do because those resources were not needed at that time) I was able to get in touch with this facility. They told me bring her down and they would help her. So I took her there Wednesday morning and she was released Sunday evening. She was able to call me a couple times each day for about 5 minutes each call. Which I believe was helpful for the both of us. The staff also called me in between to keep me up to date with what was happening and I appreciated that as well. I went to a Saturday visitation which went pretty smoothly. I think unfortunately when it comes to mental health we want our loved ones fixed right then and there and unfortunately thats not how it works. My daughter personally loved the therapist. But thought the Dr on zoom was short and not very helpful short of asking her if she felt like harming herself or others. I explained to her with the following analogy that this place was basically like if you broke your arm and they couldn’t cast it right away. They wrap it up splint it and send you somewhere that can cast it up for you. She didn’t have anything bad to say about staff because believe me I asked. Although she was saddened that she had to be there, she was happy that they were able to help her and get the process of healing on the right road. As a parent this has been the most difficult and heartbreaking experience we’ve crossed so far. And I just wanted to share part of our journey in hopes that if there are other families suffering or on the fence that they know they aren’t alone and that this place for at least a short stay wasn’t as bad for us as what the other reviews suggested. Nick Name 2 months ago I think i wrote my review under the wrong hospital but everyone was awesome for the most part. My name is Cameron Atwood and im still taking my medicine by some miracle. I went into this facility so psychotic i didnt know up from down. I had real people help me see the real lies i was telling myself. I thought everybody was the enemy and somehow people like Stephanie (The Goat) and even those who didnt believe what i believed like Peter broke through to me. The chapman there are amazing and i cant complement the Techs more doing gods work. I was nursed back to a stable point not from medicine but from the grace and compassion of the nurses and most of the techs! People like ASH, Sydney, Shy, and Patrick made me feel safe and comfortable in a foreign place. I cannot thank this facility enough and pray everyone gets the grace and compassion they showed me back in 10 fold. I can literally type for hours about how they helped me but my fingers might get tired. Oh and Richard and Gavin got me to trust medicine which im still having a hard time with but without this entire team i believe id still be unstable to this day. Again just to mention Nurse Stephanie is probably the nicest person I've ever met and the first person i fully trusted in Lutz. One of the best rehabs I have been too. I have been to. Therapist Maria is amazing. There is always more than 1 group to choose from and information is broken down in interactive and easy to understand way. Groups are led by very knowledgeable therapist. Staff and nurses amazing as well! Director does not hide behind a door. Beds are comfy, tvs in room , gym and pool. Food isn't bad. They meet you were you are but dont leave u there.

White Sands saved my life in February and continues to do so to this day. If you are looking for help and are finally willing to reach out, there is no better option than White Sands. The staff at White Sands, many of whom are serving others as a way to they themselves stay clean, are absolutely amazing. Their desire is to pick you up, dust you off, and watch you grow. From the moment you arrive at inpatient they do their best to get you in and comfortable. Each day gets easier and there is not one person who couldn't benefit from their MRT program. In outpatient the IOP program and individual counseling teaches and strengthens you by offering a different way to live. The counselors truly care and want to see you succeed. It isn't easy to ask for help and it isn't a sign of weakness. If you're willing to admit you need help, White Sands is the place to turn to.

I absolutely love sophros!! I just moved to Flordia in June 2025. Fresh out of rehab from Pennsylvania. I struggled for 2 months before I got Insurance. Uneducated, craving and not myself. I Googled outpatient recovery centers and first popped up Sophros recovery. I called immediately and set up a appointment. I was accepted right away. I was shy at first and didn't participate in groups. But, I warmed up and I've learned so many great skills that I use daily. Last year 2024 I was hurt by a close family member and was awaiting trial. My therapist and the team helped me be able to open up and tell my story. While gone for a week I had so much support from the team and I did it! My therapist Rajon tells me "I can do hard things" and I did and continue to do so. Andrew helped me realize that sitting in the hurt is the best way to get through it. He also helped me get a wonderful job and establish a community. This facility is amazing! The groups, therapist, and all the staff are wonderful each with their own skills and techniques. It works if you work it. So do the hard things and you will come out successful. Thank you sophros for all the skills, support and understanding. I will forever be grateful for everything you taught me.

My aunt has been a patient here for almost 2 weeks. She has been provided excellent care here by the entire clinical, rehab and administrative team. Laura, my therapist was awesome. She was very patient with me, I asked so many questions. She helped me to understand my problems and gave me tools for the future. She prepared me for a successful recovery. I've never tried yoga before but I took those classes and I learned how to stretch. During my stay at Clean, I found that my life is worth fighting for. The staff really cares enough to allow me to be me and to find myself right where I'm at and not lost somewhere in my past using drugs and drinking alcohol. The staff has bent over backwards in caring for me if it were not for: taking me to meetings, giving me much needed medicine, holding very intelligent and intense individual and group discussions and therapy. I also suffer from PTSD and Clean provides special trauma sessions in treatment for something I have struggled with since being in prison for 7 yrs. I live in another state now. I came into this place homeless after having been on a 1 year drinking binge, facing 70 years in two states. Initially, I was only here to "hide-out", and then I began seeing all these people come through who had the hope of sobriety. After staying here for one month, I was sober, had hope and turned myself in, that was the start of my current 9 years of sobriety. This is not a facility that is here to make money, it is hardcore and no frills, but looking back it was the best rehab I ever went to, all these places with millions of dollar budgets should take lessons from Turning Point, I will never forget it.

This is a “no-frills”, last stop for someone who is desperate to make it to tomorrow. If you want sobriety, are out of options and are willing to go to any lengths to get it, Turning Point might work for you. Your success rate is commensurate with the amount of effort you are willing to expend, your ability to follow instructions, and the degree to which you are honest with yourself. Par was a great place overall but when your six months are up you are scrambling to find somewhere to go. They DO NOT help in that area. To be completely honest it was the best rehab I've been to. It's the only one that I've stayed out of trouble since leaving.

I want to thank North Tampa Behavioral Health. The facility looks modern and clean and the staff was engaging, kind and nice people. This is the best mental health facility in the entire central western region of the state. As an American I get free top quality health insurance called Medicare A, B & D. The intake staff was very cheerful and engaging and attentive to the patients inside the secure facility. I got my new medicine for behavioral health and I couldn't be more happier with the results. My mood totally changed inside the facility from being completely sour to roaring with joy and comfort and remaining that way throughout my recent mental health journey. I'm usually very happy for about 90% of the time. I preoccupy myself with fun activities like bicycling and basketball but there are certain times that I fall into a hole of anxiety, depression and self doubt around 10% of the time overall but the new medication helps me to balance my mood and I physically feel better after taking my medication. If I ever have another mental health meltdown again I will go directly to this facility for proper healthcare and wellbeing updates. Don't be afraid to ask for help when it comes to mental health. Your mental health is important and you should evaluate yourself honestly and outwardly if ever or whenever you're in doubt ask for help before making a final decision that could end your life prematurely. I hope this helps someone who is in need of mental health. Speak outwardly about mental health don't be ashamed. Many people, millions of people remain undiagnosed in positions of grand stature and low stature. Seek help if you need it please. Try your best to look forward towards something new & uncomfortable. All I have to say is that I decided to go into this rehab on my own. Nobody push me to go. I decided to turn myself in willingly and at no point in time was I ever treated disrespectfully or was I scared in anyway I felt totally comfortable and teachers are awesome. The curriculum was amazing and the overall experience was so good that I almost thought about relaxing is this day that’s how good it was and I highly suggest that anybody that wants to say their life do not think twice about it and just go and do it because it will be the best decision you ever made and it will save your life and it’s like no other program there is out there. I wish there was more programs out there like CRC And I can’t say enough good things about it. I wish they would take me back now but I don’t think they will because I’m clean so but don’t ever feel that it’s like any other place because it’s definitely not. It’s there should be definitely more than one of these facilities in the Pasco County area .

The clinic is long overdue and I'm very grateful that the VA has invested in the new facility here in Lakeland because the old facility was a combination of several different buildings. This facility is well-organized and has a lot more services than the old Clinic so we don't have to go to the VA hospital in Tampa for certain things like an a CT scan, the eye doctors are here and more.

I came to visit my nephew and I can truly say my expierence was unforgettable the staff greeted me very kindly but ther was one staff in particular named tierra she did a absolute amazing job with my nephew despite the circumstances she was kind considerate understanding and compassionate when caring for him he told me she was the nicest one there very respectful young lady there should be more people in the world with a attitude and heart like hers if anyone has anyone in there if she still there I would recommend speaking with her 💙

Reading the previous reviews breaks my heart. But is also why I feel need to write our own personal review. My 13 yr old daughter was self harming and agreed willingly to go and seemed eager to get help. So while she was in that space I called around and after calling about 15 people who said either call the cops or bring her to the hospital (neither which I wanted to do because those resources were not needed at that time) I was able to get in touch with this facility. They told me bring her down and they would help her. So I took her there Wednesday morning and she was released Sunday evening. She was able to call me a couple times each day for about 5 minutes each call. Which I believe was helpful for the both of us. The staff also called me in between to keep me up to date with what was happening and I appreciated that as well. I went to a Saturday visitation which went pretty smoothly. I think unfortunately when it comes to mental health we want our loved ones fixed right then and there and unfortunately thats not how it works. My daughter personally loved the therapist. But thought the Dr on zoom was short and not very helpful short of asking her if she felt like harming herself or others. I explained to her with the following analogy that this place was basically like if you broke your arm and they couldn’t cast it right away. They wrap it up splint it and send you somewhere that can cast it up for you. She didn’t have anything bad to say about staff because believe me I asked. Although she was saddened that she had to be there, she was happy that they were able to help her and get the process of healing on the right road. As a parent this has been the most difficult and heartbreaking experience we’ve crossed so far. And I just wanted to share part of our journey in hopes that if there are other families suffering or on the fence that they know they aren’t alone and that this place for at least a short stay wasn’t as bad for us as what the other reviews suggested. May all of us and our loved ones be well, healthy and happy…

I was recently a patient at this facility, and despite the difficult circumstances, I left feeling genuinely cared for by some truly exceptional staff members. Bobbie (nurse) stood out the most. She brought warmth and humanity to what could have been a cold, frightening experience. She talked with us, listened, and even taught me practical tools for redirecting attention away from trauma. Her kindness made a real difference. Kelly (nurse) also deserves recognition. When other staff declined to explain medications in detail, Kelly took the time to answer all my questions patiently and thoroughly. I also witnessed her gently helping another patient untangle and fix her hair when that patient didn’t have the energy to do it herself. That small act of compassion said everything about who she is. Thank you Bobbie and Kelly for reminding patients that they are seen and valued. You made a hard time a little easier.

I think i wrote my review under the wrong hospital but everyone was awesome for the most part. My name is Cameron Atwood and im still taking my medicine by some miracle. I went into this facility so psychotic i didnt know up from down. I had real people help me see the real lies i was telling myself. I thought everybody was the enemy and somehow people like Stephanie (The Goat) and even those who didnt believe what i believed like Peter broke through to me. The chapman there are amazing and i cant complement the Techs more doing gods work. I was nursed back to a stable point not from medicine but from the grace and compassion of the nurses and most of the techs! People like ASH, Sydney, Shy, and Patrick made me feel safe and comfortable in a foreign place. I cannot thank this facility enough and pray everyone gets the grace and compassion they showed me back in 10 fold. I can literally type for hours about how they helped me but my fingers might get tired. Oh and Richard and Gavin got me to trust medicine which im still having a hard time with but without this entire team i believe id still be unstable to this day. Again just to mention Nurse Stephanie is probably the nicest person I've ever met and the first person i fully trusted in Lutz. What I'm trying to say is the People working nursed me back to health not any medicine even though i will admit the drugs helped. Thank you guys for your kindness

Windmoor is a safe place where individuals, like myself, have a platform to discuss common issues surrounding mental illness and addiction. During my treatment I felt understood by both,staff and other patients since we all have similar issues. The staff provided me with outside resources for the specific needs I required post therapy. The therapist are respectful of boundaries and are educated,therefore helpful in understanding individual needs. While I do feel there could be slightly more personalized treatment in terms of diagnosis and individual therapy, otherwise the care and facilities here were great, I met quite a few insightful and sensitive people (both employees and patients), and upon discharge I was given a solid list of resources to follow up on moving forward. All in all, I am very glad that I went and am satisfied with the experience.
