Whitesands truly changed my life. I came in broken, lost, and unsure if I could ever get back on the right path. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt supported and cared for in a way I hadn’t in a long time. The staff goes above and beyond, and the entire program gave me the tools and hope I needed to believe in myself again.
I’m especially grateful for Amanda, my Case Manager. She is absolutely amazing—compassionate, understanding, and always willing to go the extra mile. Amanda didn’t just do her job; she truly cared about me as a person. She listened when I needed someone to talk to, encouraged me when I wanted to give up, and reminded me every single day that I was capable of changing my life. She made me feel seen, heard, and valued.
Amanda helped guide me through every step of my treatment and aftercare planning, making sure I felt confident about my next steps once I left. She gave me hope when I didn’t have any left and helped me see that recovery is possible. This facility is incredible. The staff is my favorite part. From Ryan and Mark in admissions, Angel, Jason and Shannon directors on site, my case manager Amanda, and therapist Joel. All incredibly supportive and understand addiction and recovery. The support staff is highly professional as well. Medical staff was very knowledgable. Detox was smooth. The gym and pool are amazing amenities as well as volleyball and other activities. Thank you WhiteSands!

Heather the counselors and the doctor run a wonderful facility here. They offer freedom from active addiction a promise of renewed hope and a purposeful driven life free from addiction. My stay here a year ago also provided me the opportunity to live in their sober living home. The art, equine, yoga and reki thrapy sessions are incredible. I really liked the bio bed as well as my free time on the patio. 7 Summit Pathways reintroduced me to mindful meditation, grounding techniques and journaling. My counselor Doug was very encouraging. I was able to get a job near to their sober living house in Valrico and protect my anonymity. They had a nice dinner for the holidays and other clients families would join us. The van was always a safe drive and i always felt reassured and comfortable. They offer a native American Wellbriety meeting on Wednesday at 7pm i look forward to returning to again soon. Alot of these examples have helped me as i was able to keep my sponsor and take steps in the 12 step Narcotics Anonymous program. 7 Summit Pathways helped me keep living a productive good and healthy life. I just wanted to say how incredibly helpful and amazing Heather was tonight during a crisis. I reached out at midnight about a family member and was blown away by her kindness, willingness to talk/help, etc. I have worked in the substance abuse field for over 15 years and been a patient as well. I know that parts of the system can be broken at times. Heather went above and beyond what I have ever seen anyone do. She really cares and is a true angel.

Where to even start - I’m so grateful and honored - After completing a 10-day inpatient rehab for alcohol, I entered Sophros Recovery’s IOP and OP programs — and I can honestly say it completely turned my life around. I came into the program with a heavy heart, still grieving the losses of my father and younger brother, and burdened by years of personal struggles and past relationship hardships. I've been through 7 or 8 treatment facilities and successfully completed two prior PHP programs. This program has given me the most individual attention, comfortability and feelings towards being cared for properly. I did intensive outpatient with Riverside in the summer of 2024. It was wonderful! The group therapy sessions were aimed at us patients helping one another get through recovery and life as newly sober people. The one on one sessions focused on my personal issues and struggles with recovery. They also do family sessions which help the entire family navigate this new life. I highly recommend Riverside for anyone looking for help.

My aunt has been a patient here for almost 2 weeks. She has been provided excellent care here by the entire clinical, rehab and administrative team. The nurses and CNA's have provided the care and compassion well above our familiy's expectation. We are shocked at how much she has thrived at this facility. Laura, my therapist was awesome. She was very patient with me, I asked so many questions. She helped me to understand my problems and gave me tools for the future. She prepared me for a successful recovery. I've never tried yoga before but I took those classes and I learned how to stretch. I have a handicap with my hip and it really helped me with my pain and flexibility. I highly recommend coalition.

The staff members from Teesha who was just amazing in every way helped me figure out things that would make getting things easier getting back in to real life. She is remarkable. I recently successfully completed treatment at White Sands Treatment Center in Plant City, FL and have a strong desire to share my very positive experience with anyone contemplating getting help. I highly recommend White Sands to anyone looking for the perfect place to reset their lives due to alcoholism and/or drug addiction.
The therapists and facilitators are exceptional as is the educational curriculum. That's only a part of the entire program which combines therapy, in-depth group education and therapy, holistic approaches to healing, a boxing gym with weight training, very comfortable and clean patient rooms, an exceptional staff from management, therapists, behavioral health technicians, housekeeping, culinary staff directed by a highly experienced nutritionist, exceptional medical and nursing personnel, all the way to the smoothie makers in the cafe.
I cannot express in words how grateful I am to every single staff member I came in contact with. Every single person employed by White Sands is compassionate, caring, professional, and have been extensively vetted for their own experience, demeanor, compassion, and dedication to their respective fields. Honestly, I was blown away and they will all hold their special places in my heart for their sincere and honest commitment to assuring me that I was in the safest place on earth to re-commit my recovery after a horrible relapse due to a highly addictive prescription medication.
If you are seeking help of your own, please don't hesitate to give them a call. You will be so grateful you did. They have restored my faith in humanity and I feel like a spiritual and productive human being again. Not the guy that was full of shame and demoralization.
There are only five stars available to give white Sands, but frankly, I give them ten stars! God, please bless everyone at White Sands Treatment Center in Plant City. I love every single one of you... including many patients and the lifelong friends I've made while a patient. I’ve been to a decent amount of treatment programs and this one honestly saved my life! The staff genuinely cares and the groups teach extremely valuable life skills. I remember when I first got to detox and was extremely sick, they would make sure I ate and bring me food straight to my bed. Ad the food is amazing too. They have a coffee and smoothie station and the lady who runs that is the absolute sweetest. Deb was my therapist and really.helped me out with a lot I had going on. I’ve been sober 16 months, which is the longest I’ve ever had and can’t see myself ever going back. I recommend this place to everyone looking to get serious help and turn their life around. So for me the mustard seed was a life saving experience for me,the staff were professional courteous respectful and very helpful
They also had a open door policy where if you had a problem with anything they would address it
They also had a kitchen provided meals for you daily snacks put out at all times
They have a regimented schedule in which is very flexible to the people that had jobs
The living conditions were great
It's communal
And there's a lot of independence
For me it taught me to find out who I am
It taught me how to be responsible. It taught me how to be a functional adult again
And the director there Mrs Linda aka moma bird
She genuinely cares for each client that comes through mustard seed it wasn't just a residential treatment center for me it was my temporarily home
Mrs Linda carried me until I could carry myself for that she will always get the respect from me

This place really helps a lot if you just stick with it and want it for yourself everyone is super nice and compassionate and super helpful, and they are just there that do their job and they're all professionals, and they do very well at the job and they're very kind and they just want to see people do better, that struggle with addiction, but you also have to want it for yourself. The program works. It's definitely a great program. I definitely recommend it if you're struggling with an addiction. It helped me and I helped other people I know friends and family i rate it a 5 star and the staff you guys are awesome work very hard.

Started when I found out I was pregnant. I listened to my counselor and The Pediatrician they had offering classes advice and my baby girl was born full term average weight (7.4) and zero.... im talking not even 1 tremor or score over 4 withdrawal symptoms. I was hesitant going into this procedure as I had never been out under anesthesia. However before and after the procedure the nurses were very kind, reassuring, and knowledgeable. You could tell they really care about their patients and are very patient with them and care about their comfort. The procedure definitely works and basically cuts out the worst 5 days of withdrawal. I would pick this over going to a 5-7 day detox, a day or two after this procedure you basically feel mostly normal, and I was using a large amount and had a hard time reducing use enough before the procedure. If your not using huge amounts, or able to cut down a good amount before the procedure or just using prescription opiates which have no secondary substances in them I’d assume you'd feel basically back to your normal self after a day because I felt 90% normal and had none of that going for me. You can’t expect this to be a magical solution and have no cravings or anything like that after though, its still a mental battle after and you have to work at it by going to meetings and/or working with a therapist after but it does definitely allow you to skip the worst of the physical withdrawals. Overall it was great and id highly recommend this to anyone who has struggled to get off opiates by themselves as it truly gives you a fair shot at getting and staying off opiates and is near painless versus a cold detox.

BoardPrep Recovery really changed my life! I was broken and not in a good place going into treatment. I had a lot thrown at me while in treatment and the staff helped me get through it. I did intensive outpatient with Riverside in the summer of 2024. It was wonderful! The group therapy sessions were aimed at us patients helping one another get through recovery and life as newly sober people. The one on one sessions focused on my personal issues and struggles with recovery. They also do family sessions which help the entire family navigate this new life. I highly recommend Riverside for anyone looking for help.

After 10 days in the hospital including the ICU and PCU for pneumonia and blood infection, it is with great pleasure for me to offer my sincere praise to the Hospital, ICU nurses, PCU nurses, RT specialists, technicians and especially Dr's. Mahoney, Garcia, and Tyagi. Their dedication to determining an antibody treatment that successfully eliminated the threat is incredible and ALL have my eternal gratitude! I live in another state now. I came into this place homeless after having been on a 1 year drinking binge, facing 70 years in two states. Initially, I was only here to "hide-out", and then I began seeing all these people come through who had the hope of sobriety. After staying here for one month, I was sober, had hope and turned myself in, that was the start of my current 9 years of sobriety. This is not a facility that is here to make money, it is hardcore and no frills, but looking back it was the best rehab I ever went to, all these places with millions of dollar budgets should take lessons from Turning Point, I will never forget it.

This is a “no-frills”, last stop for someone who is desperate to make it to tomorrow. If you want sobriety, are out of options and are willing to go to any lengths to get it, Turning Point might work for you. Your success rate is commensurate with the amount of effort you are willing to expend, your ability to follow instructions, and the degree to which you are honest with yourself. This place saved my life.

Typically calling into schedule with the VA will leave me on the phone for hours being transferred around in circles, all the while being spoken to as if you're a lesser human for your service, or they treat you as if your inconveniencing them.
However, today was different, today I called into the NPR VA and spoke with someone who cares. Karen Thieme is everything the VA should want in an employee, someone representing them and servicing their veterans with a passion to listen, understand, and to provide benefits for. Karen has given me new hope and some more "change in my pocket" when it comes to dealing with the VA now. Thank you Karen for such a simple and yet meaningful phone call, all just to schedule my appointments.
I'll be looking forward to my first visit at NPR with my new doctor and team, if it's anything like my first phone call interaction with Karen, I know I'll be taken care of.

Par was a great place overall but when your six months are up you are scrambling to find somewhere to go. They DO NOT help in that area. To be completely honest it was the best rehab I've been to. It's the only one that I've stayed out of trouble since leaving.

This place helped me the 5 months I was there. Of course could use some lessons on withdrawling because I was in detox when I arrived but it had been over a week so they wouldn't start dosing me.
