June 4th 2026 appointment with Amanda Lum was a horrible unprofessional experience. She has no bedside manner. I cried after I left her office. I will NOT be seeing her any longer! Jennifer is the best counselor! Saw her today April 9th! Update.....Today I had an appointment with my new NP Teresa...she replaced Toni...VERY VERY unhappy with her! I had a 15 minute appointment and she only gave me less than 10 minutes! I will be going elsewhere.Very happy with my treatment and with Toni my psychiatric np! I also want to address the appointment I was to have with Jennifer on Thursday October 31 at 9a....it was to be an over the phone appointment. I waited til 9:15 and called the office. I had to leave a message since no one answered. I called back at 9:30a again and left another message. NO one returned my call that day and still hasn't. That's really disappointed me. I really needed to talk to Jennifer that day!! My feelings are hurt. I feel so unimportant. Update ad of now..Saturday November 2nd...I just checked my incoming calls for Thursday and there was a call made to me and it says I declined the call at 9:02a....I did NOT decline any calls and my phone never rang. There must have been something wrong with my connection! I am so sorry this happened but please call me back on Monday November 4th so I can clear things up. Thank you... My Experience at Riverside Recovery Tampa I want to take a moment to give a huge thank-you to the entire team at Riverside Recovery in Tampa. From clinical staff and nurses to the techs and everyone behind the scenes, I have been treated with kindness, respect, patience, and genuine compassion. There are so many people I want to recognize. David, Gerardo, Sequoia, and Jaden have all been amazing and have made me feel supported throughout this process. The entire tech team has been there when I needed them. I especially want to thank my therapist Janet for helping me open up and talk about things I haven't always been able to talk about. My ARPNs have also been phenomenal—passionate, caring, and truly involved in helping me. A special thank-you to Shannon and Lane, the detox coordinators. I've been through detox more times in my life than I care to remember, but this time feels different. There have been moments when I've felt like I wanted to pack up and run away, but something here keeps making me stay. And at the end of the day, I realize that I don't really want to leave. Riverside is showing me that there may be a different way to live. I'm beginning to understand that recovery isn't just about getting through detox—it's about opening up, facing yourself, accepting help, and learning how to build a different life. I'm incredibly grateful for everyone here who has played a part in my journey. Thank you for treating me like a person, not a number, and for continuing to believe in me even when I was struggling to believe in myself. I still have a lot of work to do, but for the first time in a long time, I'm willing to do it. ❤️

The staff were exceptional. Caring, sensitive, and experienced. The facility is beautiful, on the water, with an exceptional pool (ideal for swimming laps!), and a state of the art fitness center, with a marvelous indoor basketball court. Groups encouraged sharing, and the therapists are outstanding! Dining is very, very good. Wonderful experience for my husband, as Riverside gave him a great start on his recovery journey!

Great meetings and interesting classes to guide you through recovery. Lots of tools to help you cope with becoming clean and sober. My therapists really cared about my well being as well as my family’s. Easy going lifestyle with a laid back atmosphere. Food was pretty good with lots of variety, snacks and drinks.

Saved my life. Went for a 90 day inpatient 12 years ago and haven't reentered another rehab since. Built great fundamentals to recovery and kept me long enough to get started. If I had only done 30 days I know I likely would have relapsed . I now am healthy and happy and have a trade skill, which is quite dangerous but I'm always clear of mind and haven't been injured for the entire 8 years I've been practicing my trade.

Honestly can't say enough good things about this place. I learned so much in just 30 days there. My case worker Sammy n my therapist Joel went way out of their way to get me the help I needed. If you apply yourself there you can really retain a lot. There's a bunch of amazing counselors that run groups that you can get a lot out of. An also a great amount of extra circular activities. If you're looking for a place to start your recovery in Southwest Florida. This is the place.

I'm just curious does this work well for opiates like methadone because I am reading about people who were on buprenorphine but methadone has a very long and unpredictable half life and have you had successful patients who were on high doses of methadone and still not have ridiculous cravings post procedure?

I used the ANR Clinic to get off of Opiates that I had been taking for close to 10 years due to a back injury which led to 3 back surgeries. I was really skeptical about the procedure and believing that I would have no cravings afterwards, I did a lot of research and found someone on Facebook that had gone through the procedure and they reaffirmed everything that the ANR Clinic stated. From the first phone call to my intake at the Hospital as well as my aftercare I was treated with care and compassion by each and every member of the ANR Clinic. I had my procedure done on March 24th 2026 and it was the best decision I have ever made, I have never experienced any cravings and each and every day I am feeling one step closer to the man I was before ever taking opiates. I cannot recommend the ANR Clinic enough, if you are struggling like I was take the first step and call them, they will help and guide you every step of the way.

This place really helps a lot if you just stick with it and want it for yourself everyone is super nice and compassionate and super helpful, and they are just there that do their job and they're all professionals, and they do very well at the job and they're very kind and they just want to see people do better, that struggle with addiction, but you also have to want it for yourself. The program works. It's definitely a great program. I definitely recommend it if you're struggling with an addiction. It helped me and I helped other people I know friends and family i rate it a 5 star and the staff you guys are awesome work very hard.

My aunt has been a patient here for almost 2 weeks. She has been provided excellent care here by the entire clinical, rehab and administrative team. The nurses and CNA's have provided the care and compassion well above our familiy's expectation. We are shocked at how much she has thrived at this facility. Laura, my therapist was awesome. She was very patient with me, I asked so many questions. She helped me to understand my problems and gave me tools for the future. She prepared me for a successful recovery. I've never tried yoga before but I took those classes and I learned how to stretch. I have a handicap with my hip and it really helped me with my pain and flexibility. I highly recommend coalition.

Footprints can either go one of two ways. You either feel blessed or you abuse the privileges and coast. Bougie rehab. If you have the money for the “beach houses” (housing fee) you’re in for a great time. Some people, mostly women, get blessed with the beach house if their insurance is good. I got blessed with two weeks at the beach with no money before they sent me to the inland housing which… everything is the same… you just can’t walk the beach whenever you want. Clinical runs the show. It’s actually very fun. There’s two women who carry the burden of PHP but it was so much fun. Silly stuff but like…I’m a persecuting peacock who views addiction as a disease model and I thrive in community. This may not make sense to you but it does to me. They blessed me with free housing for 4 weeks if I did IOP. I was able to move into my own place… yesterday… ten minutes from my job. For me I needed a safe place after PHP to re enter society… Danny at the Largo house had a huge heart and helped shepherd me around to meetings to get plugged in. And the gym. And protein powder. Sergio and I had a great time watching movies and going to meetings! I’ve never done detox to rez to PHP to IOP to “real world” But I did it. And Footprints held my hand until I jumped… And I landed just fine. Jesus is Lord. God Bless Footprints. And action!

When I first walked through the doors of Sophros, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. That rock bottom everyone talks about. I had been to my fair share of rehabs and treatment programs and somehow could not seem to get sobriety to stick. I was hopeless, alone, and scared. But this place changed that, and set my life on a new trajectory I didn’t think was possible. This place is truly one of a kind. I hit the jackpot when I was assigned Shannon as my therapist. You’ll see her mentioned a lot in these reviews, and for very good reason. To bluntly put it, she saved my life. And I’m not being dramatic when I say that. Her wit, compassion, and dedication is one of the main reasons I’ve made it this far. She taught me to not complicate the uncomplicated, to stop trying to outsmart my disease, and get out of my own way. Simple truths, that seemed impossible to grasp. The entire team at Sophros is made up of some of the most caring humans I’ve been blessed to encounter. They didn’t give up on me, especially when I felt like giving up on myself. Shannon, Veronica, Rajon, Laura, Luna, Drew, and everyone else, make this a truly wonderful healing place. I’ve been through PHP, IOP, and hope to continue on with OP when that time comes. Outstanding program! Everyone is very welcoming and supportive. I was fortunate enough to stay in the new housing for the duration of PHP. It’s a good balance of freedom and accountability. As compared to being locked down like other PHPs I had considered. Sophros provided a number of different approaches in sessions to help keep everyone engaged. And my therapist Shannon was top notch. Definitely would recommend.

I have gone to many, many treatment centers in an attempt to adress my alcoholism. Countless. The staff at Sophros is unlike anything Iv'e encountered. They are not just a business, and we are.not just numbers. The individualized attention and care for our wellbeing is by far unmatched. I have the pleasure of having Shannon as my therapist, connecting dots and helping me see things that no other therapist has been able to do. Rayshawn, the senior therapist provides ART, a therapy I knew nothing about but honestly has changed my life in a big way. Tim, in charge of housing here, goes above and beyond for us everyday helping us set.ourselves up for success. Even the techs are amazing, Cam, Jaime and Tyler are always there to help. June 2023, I attended Transformations and had a wonderful and very healing experience. I recently have celebrated 600 days sober from alcohol, which is what I went into rehab for. Board Prep has definitely given me a second chance at the rest of my life again! They helped me to regain my identity and sense of self that I had lost somewhere along my journey. I live in another state now. I came into this place homeless after having been on a 1 year drinking binge, facing 70 years in two states. Initially, I was only here to "hide-out", and then I began seeing all these people come through who had the hope of sobriety. After staying here for one month, I was sober, had hope and turned myself in, that was the start of my current 9 years of sobriety. This is not a facility that is here to make money, it is hardcore and no frills, but looking back it was the best rehab I ever went to, all these places with millions of dollar budgets should take lessons from Turning Point, I will never forget it.

This is a “no-frills”, last stop for someone who is desperate to make it to tomorrow. If you want sobriety, are out of options and are willing to go to any lengths to get it, Turning Point might work for you. Your success rate is commensurate with the amount of effort you are willing to expend, your ability to follow instructions, and the degree to which you are honest with yourself. This place saved my life.
