I wish I could give this more than five stars. I arrived at mending fences being open-minded. I had no idea the impact this would have on my life in such a positive way. I came to this looking for help for alcohol and found I really needed the help with mental health care. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the surroundings are so Serene and peaceful. There are no amount of words I could give for the gratitude I have for what this place is giving me back to me in my life. I am truly grateful. To me there is no amount of money that could ever give me what I retained here at mending fences. This place has been absolutely PRICELESS! I highly recommend if there's anyone that needs help, a loved one or friend this would be the place for their healing journey. I finally feel I have my life back.

I went to Mending Fences to get help with my debilitating anxiety. From the time I arrived at the facility I was met with friendly and compassionate staff. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe.
Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging!
From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night!
Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! Just to mention, these people try to accommodate me so that I could continue the program - it amazed me how much effort they put in - thanks 🙏
One last thing the facility and the grounds were beautiful! One last thank you to all the staff, techs , therapists and Doctors who helped me 🙏🙏

Go to new season and I know it'll be the best thing you ever did they just continue to get better the new stuff is awesome The new coordinator He's on top of everything and my new counselor Melanie she just rocks it I don't know how I don't know how she has so much care for her patients and will work so hard for them and I like my last counselor but I've not seen this kind of devotion in a counselor besides Julio which I've discovered to be tremendously a helpful person in my life his groups just make you be able to get through the week and there's more than one reason to go to groups you know but the reason mainly is to stay clean and get clean and I called it a life changer now it's a game changer because it's completely changed the way I play my game and I get scared of change of new stuff but new seasons they've got it covered because they hire good people so no matter who you get you're in good hands. I urge people who are trying to decide to go or not and have that scale tipping just tip it on in all you got to do is just take that baby step and then the next baby step after that and then it won't be so hard I just don't want to hear any more about these deaths or families lives being ruined it's it's sad and it took me a long time to see it from the other side it's new season who got me to the other side Melanie she rocks it and Mr Tim he seems very on top of it very professional like I said I just do put this on here because I hope if anybody's facing their recovery on the reviews do it you know do it for you and do it at new season even if you don't get Melanie all the other counselors are good Julio I know he's an excellent counselor I know all of the counselors are great people

I don't know why people go to places like this when you can go to Dr bellum in dunnellon Florida and get a script of Suboxone total pay maybe $250 for the month for 30 pills that you can literally take a quarter a day so one month last 4 months I heard it's like 20 a day for methadone that doesn't even last 24 hours and you're not getting drug tested every damn day and you're not being treated like a junky

I have been going to the vascular clinic due to chronic venous inefficiency. Yesterday, October 29th 2025, I had surgery to remove a "very bad" vein in my lower right leg. Even though there was a long delay because a pipe had broken in the basement causing electrical issues, everything went exceptionally well. I was treated with kindness and respect the entire time. The nursing staff were all amazing. I can't say enough good things about the anesthesiologist and his assistant. I just wish I could recall their names. They were so good to me and they explained everything they were going to do in great detail. They treated me with great respect. And finally, my surgeon, Dr. Scott Berceli. I could not have possibly been in better hands. He explained the entire procedure and met with my wife while I was in recovery. He explained everything to her as well, including what to do and not do during my recovery period. He is absolutely fantastic. I can not give the entire staff enough praise. From start to finish, it was awesome!

Experienced nurses and doctors, the staff is very helpful. Clean on the inside and out….even amongst construction pathways. Parking can be hectic, valet is nice. I live in Jacksonville and I will drive the hour and a half drive just to come here for care… it. It’s worth the drive. Thank you for serving us.

I graduated the phoenix house in 2019. The program doesn't focus on Just addictions, but the behavior behind addictions. Unfortunately, most of the people that I went with did not make it because they did not want it bad enough. But out of multiple programs that i've been to, this one will have an everlasting impact on me And my life. I sincerely thank the staff for giving me the best fifteen months.I've ever had. I've been sober now for almost seven years.

As soon as I calm down & get hydrated, and comfy and clean in my bed, my experiences at Uf Health Shands Vista have become quite pleasant; as long as I can find people who can understand, trust, and believe me. Multiple trips outside and keeping a healthy diet ; looking forward to the meal, shower, and sleep times ; listening to music, staying busy with writing & drawing, attending every group, and sharing my experiences with people who understand is very beneficial for my mental health. I am a longtime Uf Health & Shands patient, as I am a native Gainesville, Floridian. First, I would just like to mention in the mental health department… some employees, can or will not show empathy , which can make the experience quite disheartening & difficult to find happiness or make healthy progress.Miss ‘Lauren Hertell’ was rude to my mother and I when she visited me . She said loudly and I quote “You’re on your own mama” . And laughed. I was also verbally & physically threatened by a very tall, large fellow who almost reached the ceiling in stance. they didn’t remove him until the next night. I could hardly sleep. There was also a tech who wore a bun that would smirk & laugh at me before she went home for the night. I was put on phone restriction for days for accidentally dialing 911. We had to dial 9-1 before calls and unfortunately, I never received any notifications about any calls, which would have made my day. Now, all the honorable mentions: Huge shoutout to Miss Laura who hunted down an important phone number for me. Hi, Barbie! (Barbara), Britney, Mr ‘Joe’ , Miss Karen, Gabriel, Ben, Laura, Danny, Dorian (Grey) , Tre, Miss Vilma, Miss Mia, Jacqueline, etc.. everybody. Also my sweet nurse who went and found me contact solution when I needed it.Thank you guys; from the techs, housekeepers, doctors, RN’s, and of course Dr Moore and Dr Solomon… By the end of my stay, I can healthily & properfly communicate with the staff and they show me kindness & respect back. It’s just a lonely place if you are alone or don’t have familial support. Thank you all and with all due respect, I hope to never HAVE to see you again.

First the positives: Most of the nurses are incredibly nice, caring and accommodating to requests. My therapist Laura, and the weekday Psychiatrists were great! Unlike other reviews, I had multiple people review my concerns about medication and I had many people discuss the options with me and the concerns that I had. Particularly related to the potential long-term brain effects that I had heard research about increasing your risk of Alzheimer's. Ultimately, the decision was to start with a very low dose, which I was welcome to try and discontinued if I had any unpleasant side effects. It was very much a collaborative, non pressured approach to medication. We had two wireless phones available for 7 am to 10 pm and could provide a list of approved callers. In fact, (I witnessed) if you did not have someone on your list, they would not confirm or deny that you were there, but they would make note of that person's call, share that they had called, and would ask the patient if they were interested in adding that person to their list. They, had some games, puzzles. The negatives, and how they were managed: The intake process was very long, I get the impression it's very difficult for them to determine when the "busy time" for intake will be. Your introduction to your "pod" for a lack of a better term, (definitely has prison vibes) was horrible. Getting a "skin check" which was just short of a strip search was logical, but not comfortable. The fact that it was co-ed was immediately off-putting to me, I didn't know the schedule,
and I didn't Initially feel safe. A nurse should have come to explain the schedule or provided a welcome pamphlet explaining things. The would have been very helpful. I did have a psychology fellow come speak with me which helped put me at ease. I did not get one second of sleep the first night. The prison type bed was extremely uncomfortable. I was near the nurses station and for whatever reason between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. that room was entered or exited at least a hundred times. The loud door was awful. In their defense the kind nurse did offer melatonin but I didn't feel safe so I didn't want it. This caused me to be incredibly anxious, very frustrated, and resistant to opening myself to the process. My door was opened at least 3 times per hour to check on me for safety. I felt a camera would make more sense. However, when I shared my issues, I received a pad for my bed, ear plugs, and melatonin. Then I slept great! I got a lot out of group time, which helped everyone feel more comfortable with each other. The food in one word was "mediocre." I am interested in nutrition so I can definitely say you get plenty of food, and there are some relatively nutritious options but overall it's pretty much hospital food. With a little bit of junk food mixed in. They allow very little outside time which is a bad idea, everyone wanted outside time. The weekend had less scheduled time which left people bored. My therapist managed to scrounge up a note book but many people said the would benefit from journaling. A case manager said she would resolve that issue and agreed saying "we usually have journals." Overall, I think people can choose to get something out of this setting if you understand that most of the things are designed for safety.

It’s hard leaving a review for this, but to any parents out there, I’m super thankful for The Vines and the staff there. Super communicative, if I had any questions they answered them. It was the most stressful and anxiety inducing week of my life having a child in there, but they were kind, helpful, and supportive providing the help my child needed. The nurses and staff went out of their way to get food to accommodate allergies. I’m thankful for the care and therapy received, and most of all that they were safe.

Metamorphosis literally saved my life.
I was court ordered to be at meta through drug court. The rules and 'tattling' is very contradictory to what addicts are used to. The purpose is to learn to hold other accountable for their actions. AA and NA did nothing for me. Bridgehouse did nothing for me. Meta was the only place to recognize what was causing me to use and address that.
I graduated in 2012. I am still clean. Almost 9 years now.
Recovery is different for everyone but hold on to the 'keeping secrets' and 'not snitching' behaviors of my using life wouldn't have helped me get this far.

I didn’t like the process when I first arrived. Holding each other accountable seemed a lot more like snitching or tattling than anything helpful. I felt like many things seemed conflict inducing at first for sure. I soon realized I was being provided a structure to implement better decision making during my time there and with that acquiring tools to take with me after leaving treatment. There’s nothing crazy about anything there in my opinion. The rules are the rules and there are consequences if you break them. They provide everything you need and then some. The staff is wonderful and really care about everyone there whether it’s voluntary or court ordered (majority were voluntary when I left a month ago). I needed to stay longer but had to leave due to circumstances at home that had to be addressed. I’ve been to treatment many times and I feel Meta has given me the very best chance to stay clean.I am a tough critic especially towards things that are stopping me from doing what I want. Meta is different for everyone but personally it’s the first place I would recommend to anyone.

Its a nice facility, medical care is a little messed up but besides that its a wonderful place and campus 😊. They may change you're meds doses or just flat out not give you them a lot of people have left because of that. I am forever grateful to this place. The staff is incredible, they truly care and put their heart and soul in everything they do. Donald was my therapist, Brandy was my case manager; they were both wonderful. The other therapists and case managers that weren’t even mine were a vital part in my recovery. I suggest utilizing all the staff you can, including the BHT’s. They want to help, and they definitely did. The reviews talking about “only an hour a day in the pool,” or the “gym isn’t good enough,” if that’s what you’re taking away with you in your recovery, then good luck. We had groups every day of the week, which is a necessary part in our recovery. They had activities for us every night, so we could build connections while having fun. The pool and the gym were extra gifts when we had the opportunity to use them. I would have loved it without. If you’re considering taking the steps to recovery, 100% recommend.

I was a patient at Lakeview from October 20, 2002, to November 19, 2002. I was there during Lakeview's infancy, when there was only one building, a couple of picnic tables, a basketball hoop and a beat up volleyball net. I can tell you, with great conviction, their program works.
Lakeview gave me the tools I needed to learn how to live a sober life. I still use those tools today, and I have been sober for just over 23 years now. I was forced to go to Lakeview but I'm happy that I did. I finally admitted that I was an addict and I needed help and I need to change my life. At first I did not want to participate or talk with anyone but after a couple days of hearing other people's stories I realize where I was at in my life and where I was going to end up if I continue. During my stay here I follow their program schedule and start going to the group therapy. For some you may think it's dumb, useless, waste of time but if you really just be more open-minded and use what they teach you it will make a big difference in your life. A big plus for me while I was here was the pool and the gym, never really use the pool but it is a very nice pool with a nice view of the pond I'm back to the gym the gym have everything that you need and yes they do have real trainers. You only get access to the pool and gym if you're in the store, php, and IOP if you're in stepping stone you're out of luck.

Peace and Purpose Asheville are always looking to forge relationships with treatment centers and Lakeview's clinical staff are second to none, in my experience. They also have an awesome integration program which involves client exposure to the outside, where they go shopping and are involved with a lot of off-campus activities.
No hesitation recommending it as a great program for family and loved ones.

Heather the counselors and the doctor run a wonderful facility here. They offer freedom from active addiction a promise of renewed hope and a purposeful driven life free from addiction. My stay here a year ago also provided me the opportunity to live in their sober living home. The art, equine, yoga and reki thrapy sessions are incredible. I really liked the bio bed as well as my free time on the patio. 7 Summit Pathways reintroduced me to mindful meditation, grounding techniques and journaling. My counselor Doug was very encouraging. I was able to get a job near to their sober living house in Valrico and protect my anonymity. They had a nice dinner for the holidays and other clients families would join us. The van was always a safe drive and i always felt reassured and comfortable. They offer a native American Wellbriety meeting on Wednesday at 7pm i look forward to returning to again soon. Alot of these examples have helped me as i was able to keep my sponsor and take steps in the 12 step Narcotics Anonymous program. 7 Summit Pathways helped me keep living a productive good and healthy life. I just wanted to say how incredibly helpful and amazing Heather was tonight during a crisis. I reached out at midnight about a family member and was blown away by her kindness, willingness to talk/help, etc. I have worked in the substance abuse field for over 15 years and been a patient as well.
