I want to say thank you to one of the ladies at the front desk. We don't have any friends or family near by so we have to go with our two youngest to some of the VA appointments. I appreciate her kindness and patience as my 3 year old girl was having a meltdown. She didn't want to be in the clinic and she didn't want her father to be in the clinic. It was embarrassing but the lady that came to try and help I truly appreciate it. Thank you so much.

I love the attention to detail I get there. They make me feel like family. With all the old service connected stuff going South on my body with age, they show great patience! UPDATE: 3/19/2026 Returned for annual physical and blood work. The bloodwork gals are extremely friendly, organized and fast. Returned for results about a week later. Front check-in desk very nice! Nurse Lindsey M Prater weighed me in and interviewed me and knew I was having a bad morning with problems and made me feel welcomed and calmed my BP down like family. She offered to talk with the shrink but she was better at making me feel human. Not rushing me at all even though they are swamped. Went on to see Amy Lynn Frantz, NP who was very patient and thorough. She takes the patients seriously with great bed-side manner. A great listener. I have to say that with all the cut-backs at the VA this team is on the A list. God bless you kind folks. I pray you get some more help.

2023 is gone! And now I can go into 2024 with a new attitude and a new life mostly thankful for Perspectives 2. I made some dumb decisions last year that I ended up paying the price for. I consider myself smart and well educated but when alcohol does your thinking its a games changer. I ended up in jail with a DUI and court ordered treatment. The blessing in disguise was the court ordered treatement. I went 12 weeks to group thearpy at Perspectives. I was reluctant and not excited about going until I got there. All of us were in the same boat....nervous, shamed, scared about facing the consequences of our poor decisions. Perspectives group sessions were awesome and extremely helpful. They gave you practical suggestions to help with your addictions and how to deal with the pain you caused others and yourself. The staff that ran these sessions were incredible mainly because they truly cared! It was not a job to them but they had compassion for what your were going through in fact most of them faced similiar situations. I "had" to go to these treatments but would easily have volunterred to go after seeing what they had to offer. Great discussions with a staff that emplified compassion to every one in the class. When you know you messed up and are already down on yourself it is comforting to know folks at Perspectives 2 was there to listen, suggest and most of all show they really cared about your well being and getting you on the right track. They continue to follow up with me a year later! Jamie is awesome in her care and concern....Kudos to her and her staff. Thank you Perspectives 2 for showing honest concern and compassion!

This place is wonderful, they were treating pregnant woman back 2015 when myself an others felt we had no hope, NO ONE would touch us. They live & breathe recovery. They're local to the area, An yes a smaller office but don't lack in the resources to help you and the actual drive to do so! An if Dr.Logan doesn't have a book out by now...he should consider doing so! He's one of the most knowledgeable in the state regarding M.A.T-Outpatient Treatment. They accept most insurances (yes, including Medicaid) So don't wait till tmro (again) like I did. Call them!

Since joining groups my life has completely changed the counselor's and group members are very supportive. I never have any issues getting my meds, and there's rewards for attendance in group. My insurance covers all expenses and prescriptions. I would recommend this to anyone struggling with addiction or any other life issues.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience to begin my recovery than Sabal Palms. The group classes go deep into the Psychology of addiction and help you understand the why so that you can address underlying issues that lead to substance abuse. They help provide a framework of healthy behaviors and coping skills. The group and the community you build with fellow residents is truly a family. The food was amazing and abundant, and the nature and scenery provides a serene environment for daily self reflection and mindfulness. I will always be grateful to them and can never thank them enough for what they did. I was apprehensive about going somewhere for 30 days, but it went by in a blink of an eye.

Hospital is clean. Staff is professional. There are many groups, gym, time outside time, etc. Unfortunately when I went voluntarily from an emergency room I had an infection and two prescriptions. I was sent there in a cab from silver springs instead of an ambulance and completely forgot that I had an infection and two prescriptions which I am going to get tomorrow after 10 days. I feel better mentally though

I was one of the 1st set of girls from Rhode Island. I graduated camp in 1984. One of the best counselors was Pam. The program changed me for the good. I remember meeting the Eckerd's at their beach house. Also they had made a commercial and filmed my group and I. So many canoe, hiking trips.. memories lasting a lifetime. I've had a successful life due to the skills I learned at camp. Husband and I recently retired & ready to enjoy our grandchildren. I recommend this program and their core values. My daughter has been part of it for a year, and thanks to Dr. Adkinson, therapist Patricia, and Wendy Conley, the Behavioral Health Network Manager, who work effortlessly as a team in her best interest, her progress has been exceptional. This program is outstanding, and I am immensely grateful for its existence. You have a profound positive impact on children and families. I previously reviewed this practice, and this is to add on to my initial findings. The staff and all personnel working there are truly five star, as I stated previously!!!! However , I injured myself and needed an appointment last Monday. My Dr. Dr London was enjoying a well deserved vacation, and I was asked if I would like to see Dr. Gerard Casale. I agreed and I am here to say after meeting and being examined, I was so happy that Dr. Casale was able to exactly diagnose the problem, and he prescribed the proper medication for the proper time, and the proper strength!!!! It has been a week now, and I’m almost back to normal!!!! Dr. Casale said it would take 7 to 10 days. Being older at 62 years of age, I’ll take the full 10 days. I’m in no hurry!!!!!! Simed medical has done it again!!!!! When my five star Dr. Heather London is on vacation, no problem, as long as I can see my five star Dr Gerard Casale, I am very happy and very well taken care of !!!!! I am so pleased with the Super Dr. Gerard Casale, and there is no practice that I will go to for my primary care other than this Simed medical, because I only allow myself to be treated by the best physicians!!!!!!!! Dr. London and Dr. Casale are the best in the business. Thank you Dr. Casale and, I am so proud and honored to be your patient, and the gratitude I feel for you, and Dr. London, and all the staff is so strong, I am very unique patient, and I am very knowledgeable medically. Because of this I feel I have the credentials to write these reviews. What I have presented to you is actual fact, I have to be examined and treated by ONLY Dr. London or Dr. Casale , because they understand respect and honor the needs of a patient, who is like no other patient. Trust me, I am very different than the majority of our population, and I need to be treated like a very different and special individual!!!! These two doctors are on a scale of one to ten, they are both ten,at treating me correctly and then properly. In Ocala, I had major problems with 2 other practitioners, and now I have finally found a home!!!!!

As someone who works in the behavioral health field, I feel obligated to be honest: my experience at this treatment center was negative and, at times, felt emotionally unsafe. I did not feel supported in therapy. Instead, I often felt judged and singled out. Being labeled as “attention seeking” in a clinical setting was not only dismissive, but damaging—especially in a place where people are supposed to feel safe enough to be vulnerable. The overall environment felt unprofessional. There was a lack of respect and, at times, a noticeable tension that made it difficult to trust the staff or the process. Rather than feeling like I was in a space focused on healing, I often felt uncomfortable and on guard. In my opinion, this is not the standard of care people should expect from a residential treatment center. When someone is seeking help, they deserve professionalism, compassion, and a sense of safety—none of which I consistently experienced here. I would not return, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility—especially for women who are early in recovery and need a genuinely supportive environment. The BHT’s, chef Lesa, and supervisor were amazing. This review is more towards clinical and admin staff and their unprofessionalism.

I spent some time at this facility, and ultimately I had to leave due to a situation that I’d rather not get into. I’m choosing to let that part go and focus on what I feel is important to share. What I will say is that there were techs on the floor who truly showed up every day with consistency and heart. There’s one in particular I’m thinking of — I can’t recall his name, it wasn’t the easiest to pronounce — but he carried himself with a level of presence and care that didn’t go unnoticed. The kind of energy you hope to find in a place where people are trying to heal. At the same time, there was an undercurrent that didn’t sit right with me. I experienced what felt like retaliation and a strong sense of control in the dynamics behind the scenes. As someone seeking peace and clarity, that kind of energy can be unsettling. I also noticed a lot of internal tension being spoken about openly around clients. In my view, people in treatment shouldn’t be exposed to staff conflicts or internal issues. That space should feel grounded, safe, and focused on recovery — not influenced by things happening behind the curtain. It’s also worth mentioning that for a place that presents itself in a more holistic light, there seemed to be a strong reliance on medication. That may work for some, but it didn’t align with what I personally expected walking in. I share this not out of anger, but from a place of reflection. I hope the environment continues to grow in a way that truly supports the people who walk through those doors looking for something better.

My experience at Spring Gardens Recovery was completely transformed because of one person — Amilcar. Calling him a staff member honestly doesn’t do justice to what he is or what he does. He was the foundation that held everything together, the steady presence that made one of the most vulnerable times in my life feel safe, supported, and even hopeful. While others clocked in and out, Amilcar showed up with his whole heart every single day. He cooked meals that felt like comfort when people needed it most, kept the house running flawlessly, cleaned without ever being asked, monitored everything to make sure we were safe, and somehow still found time to check on each of us like we truly mattered. Nothing slipped past him, and no one ever felt invisible when he was around. Rehab is supposed to feel heavy — overwhelming, emotional, and difficult. But because of Amilcar, it didn’t feel institutional or cold. He created an atmosphere that felt alive, human, and genuinely caring. On the hardest days, his presence alone made things feel manageable. He didn’t just maintain the house; he lifted the entire spirit of it. There were moments when giving up would have been easier, but people kept going because Amilcar made you believe you could. That kind of dedication can’t be trained — it comes from someone who truly cares about the people he’s helping. Spring Gardens Recovery may be the facility, but Amilcar is the reason it feels like a place where real healing happens. His impact goes far beyond his role, and I will carry the gratitude for what he did for me for the rest of my life.

I recently saw Dr. Oliva and her staff and I've seen a lot of Doctors over the years but very few have been as awesome as this. Virgina, the Doctors Program Director has been extremely helpful with many diffrent obsticals and she has gone above and beyond to help with everything. She even helped me out during Thanksgiving while she was with her family on the road. Dr. Oliva has been extremly helpful and isn't just there to call the shots but she listens and wants to hear you out and make sure you're happy with you're quality of care. I wish I could give this more than five stars. I arrived at mending fences being open-minded. I had no idea the impact this would have on my life in such a positive way. I came to this looking for help for alcohol and found I really needed the help with mental health care. The staff is absolutely wonderful and the surroundings are so Serene and peaceful. There are no amount of words I could give for the gratitude I have for what this place is giving me back to me in my life. I am truly grateful. To me there is no amount of money that could ever give me what I retained here at mending fences. This place has been absolutely PRICELESS! I highly recommend if there's anyone that needs help, a loved one or friend this would be the place for their healing journey. I finally feel I have my life back.

I went to Mending Fences to get help with my debilitating anxiety. From the time I arrived at the facility I was met with friendly and compassionate staff. The admission process was very professional, very timely and the staff made me feel safe. Concerning the program, Mending Fences focused on a personal track of a healing process designed specifically for me. I was assigned a Therapist (shout-out to Jeremy) who patiently worked with me to guide me through the healing process. Every therapists that led groups were dedicated to making learning different modalities wether - CBT, ART, OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES, EXERCISE AND MUSIC - Fun and engaging! From playing volleyball, shooting basketball hoops, bon fires and even an open mic night! Unfortunately, due to a health issue I had to leave the program - this was very disheartening for me - but the Psychiatrist , therapists and staff made the exiting process a great experience for me! Just to mention, these people try to accommodate me so that I could continue the program - it amazed me how much effort they put in - thanks 🙏 One last thing the facility and the grounds were beautiful! One last thank you to all the staff, techs , therapists and Doctors who helped me 🙏🙏 Rex

SUPER AWESOME PLACE THAT LIVES UP TO THERE WORD TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER THAN WHEN YOU FIRST ARRIVED ALL THE STAFF ARE EXCEPTIONAL AT ALL THE JOBS. JEREMY, MY VETERAN THERIPIST WAS VERY GOOD AT SHOWING ME THE RIGHT ROAD TO RELIEVE MY SYMPTOMS SYMPTOMS OF SOCIAL ANXIETY AND TO BECOME A BETTER PERSON. THE FOOD AND KITCHEN STAFF WAS AWESOME. I don’t have enough words to express how much The Refuge has helped me. After frequenting through over a dozen mental health treatment centers and rehabs, there are only two I would recommend to someone I cared about (or anyone in general). One of those two is The Refuge. I was met there with so much kindness, care and consideration of my wants and needs by every single one of the BHA’s (behavioral health associates) and every one of the Clinical Staff. My personal team consisted of Ellen Mendez, case manager and Caitlin Downer, therapist, and couldn’t have gotten luckier with them. Although Caitlin is leaving the facility because of her physical move, there isn’t one therapist there I have a bad thing to say about and that doesn’t put their all into each clients treatment. Shelley, the clinical director does a great job at managing the program and creating ideal schedules for the clients. She is necessarily stern in order to keep everyone (facilitators included) and the program in check, but cares immensely for all her clients. Everyone there made me feel comfortable and cared for. I could not be happier with my experience there and am forever grateful to The Refuge for all the help I received.

I’m not a patient, I bring family members here, so this is a caregiver’s perspective. Both patients I bring express that they’ve connected well with their therapist and Dr. They are benefiting from services, which are offered on a sliding scale for those without insurance. May be $0 for people with no income and no insurance. I’m grateful these services are available in our community!! If I ever need to, I will go here. And Heather, (front office) you are always so kind and so helpful. We appreciate you so much!
