My experience at McIntosh trail behavioral Health center was a good one.

I’ve been going to this clinic for over a year now. I think a lot of these reviews are either for the wrong facility or from people who were going through extremely rough times when they left their reviews. I didn’t have a great experience when I first tried to become a patient at this clinic, I knew I needed to establish mental health care somewhere and had just moved to the area. To be perfectly clear, I was not my best self without my meds and took it out on the front desk staff, even though it wasn’t their fault. You CANNOT schedule an appointment to establish care over the phone. You HAVE to get there BEFORE they open on the days that they accept walk-ins. You can call to find out what days they do that or go down and talk to them in person for more information. Treat the staff with respect and you’ll get the same in return. Basic human decency. They operate based on policies, not out of spite or as a way to make your life harder. They have genuinely caring staff and exhibit professionalism during appointments.

Everything was good the people were very nice and very patient with us the staff was just tremendously helpful the food was good I would like to give a special thanks to Miss Brenda she was so sweet.... and to Brandi one of the housekeepers to the security Shawn and to all the RA's thanks for everything I appreciate the kindness THANKS GA RECOVERY

This is a very clean and great facility the nurses are great the tecks are great however the nurse practitioners who are wanna be doctors are horrible especially Jessica she told me that I had an STD which turns out I did not have... The test that she did was negative but she told me it was positive.... and when I was trying to ask her questions about that or ask her questions about my care she could not get off her phone to stop texting long enough to talk to me and I knew she was texting because I could see emojis on her phone she's very racist she doesn't like white people it was the worst experience I've ever had with a nurse practitioner or a doctor but she's not a doctor other than that this facility is amazing

This place saved my life.... The people that work there are very caring and understanding and the truly care its not just about a paycheck they enjoy helping people in the right way... And willing to allow you to grow and don't throw you out like some places do they give you a chance and believe in you and that makes me strive to make it especially for these haters that say untrue stuff on here about new Pointe because they can't get there way so I'm here to state the truth this place deserves a 5 star and they make you feel comfortable and except we are human but progress and practice makes perfection.... It's good to be at a place that has workers that have hearts and want to see all of us make it.... And they allow you to grow and make your own desicions as far as if you think your ready to begin to a point where you are ready to ween yourself because they know that's the only way we as addicts are gonna make it without having to start all over again addiction to herion and pills is a hard thing to over come on your own and it has cured me of my herion addiction it's taken them cravings and the people along with it has gave me the drive to stay with it I haven't ever succeeded at this disease of addiction yet and I've been suffering off and on since I was 13 without any success until now it's been almost a year and I have made so many improvements in my life and I've had people around me who have noticed the difference in me as well I just inspire to do better and better when I never kept the assent I've thus far like I said it's going on a year now and I have no desire to go back to herion thank yall so much I love yall and I hate to see anything bad said about yall because I feel yall are godsent for me as a herion addict yall have helped change my life I love yall more then you know.... I cannot believe there would be one single bad post about these compassionate people but that's how it is your always gonna have that one or two that didn't want to make it and wanted to not get better and wanting to blame someone else for them not trying to do better.....

This place literally saved my life. The staff is AMAZING. This is the first time I've ever opened up to a counselor. It doesn't feel like a doctor's office everyone there makes you feel like family. I travel 90 miles round trip to go there, and wouldn't go anywhere else!!! I HIGHLY recommend New Pointe Treatment Center! The best part, there not judgemental which is awesome as a addict!!

From the moment I entered the building I was greeted with smiles and friendly staff. From the front reception personnel to the nurses and lab workers... everyone helped me and made me feel as though I was their priority #1 veteran/patient. I drive an hour to come here and would recommend that others in need of help to feel at ease coming here. These VA employees care and treat vets like they deserve to be treated. 5 STARS!

There was access to on site psychiatry, housing program, clinicians, social workers, transportation, peer support, group therapy, Substance abuse counseling, NA, Double Trouble in Mental Health and more...self care for employees, team collaboration to ensure clients received the best possible care.

Used to use Dynamic Interventions as a teenager. Can't thank them enough. Would recommend 100%

My experience with Mind & Energy was amazing. Dr. Harp, is such a kind and thoughtful person. I’ve had some pretty rough days lately but she knows exactly how to bring me out and put me back on track. I appreciate her so very much because she takes time to listen and show her concerns.Dr. Harp has a beautiful heart.

Dr Young is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and Tasha Is absolutely THE best! I’m so very thankful to them for being there for me. I’ve been going for over 6 years now and as long as you play nice and jump thru the hoop like a trained animal and is well. If anything the service has gotten better due to another company coming in and buying it. Also the price of the methadone hasn’t change since I started coming idk if that’s normally how it works. But they did make us stop paying for the monthly drug test. I have no problems in here at all.

The place to be to get some help for your kids

This place is so disappointing. I brought my sister here for mental health issues she was suffering with. They had us here for 4 hours just to say they wouldn’t be able to help and to go seek help elsewhere. Please refrain from bringing family here.

After a suicide attempt I spent a week here, and while the staff tries hard they can't defeat an institutional model of care. We can't have visitors, no one to talk with for therapy, can't go outside, can't smoke or listen to music and coffee is hard to get. If you think that would help then think about this: infection control is very low for physically sick people. I'm taking chemotherapy meds that cause low immunity, and no one who was coughing was asked to wear a mask. The nurses did give me a mask upon request. Several of the patients (who were sick or just had injuries) should have been in the emergency room before coming into the lockdown unit, and they didn't get that care. It's bureaucratic and took a week before my meds started to be right, and in the end I was discharged before that was in order. I had to behave in a way that looked good without my meds. It didn't help me to be there. I was in a polite unit for low risk people and if you really have a problem it gets less polite, I imagine. I don't have kids and I'm not in a cult so the activities weren't always helpful; this is simply an outdated model that assumes people all live the same way. They talked about recovery a lot and getting back to work. It was insulting because hey, this is as good as I get and I don't work for anyone but myself. I did learn I love coloring, having a cool roommate and hate daytime television. If you love ❤️ music and information it can be depressing in there. The unit is noisy like a gym (that was nice for some reason) and we could lie down during the day in our rooms (very important). The patients were given socks (no shoes) and everyone wore them all day and then to bed, and brushing my teeth was hard to do for different reasons. Soap was not allowed in the rooms so many people didn't wash their hands before or after using the bathroom. I'm sorry this review is scattered, it's done on my phone and not edited well. In summery it's more like a punishment but their heart is in the right place, really amazing honestly because hospitals want to make $$$. It had good points too, and I have some good memories of feeling alive. The staff really does care and they kept us busy. If I could change one thing I'd bring in a therapist for everyone. Many of the patients went through some really hard things and then had no one to talk to about it in the unit.

I had no hope for my life, my family hated me, I didn't have any friends, I was contemplating suicide. This place saved my life, I'm so thankful!!

I went through this program from may to December of 2011. I learned so much there, from wonderful women who also went through this program and if I ever had a problem again I would be right back there with Ms Linda. If you need help, GO. It's never too late to save yourself!

I've been to almost every treatment center in the state of Georgia and a few in Alabama as well. I was more stubborn than most. However, when things got bad enough and I was willing to change, The Golden Rule taught me how to act like an adult and be responsible. They aren't going to put up with old behavior and I needed a place where I couldn't manipulate my way through. This place is hard work, but it works if you put in effort and give it a chance! Faith without works is dead.

The golden rule is absolutely amazing I definitely recommend it to anyone who is truly wanting to get clean

ASFC has helped me to understand and manage my anxiety. The combination of therapy and medication really makes a difference. My quality of life has greatly improved. I highly recommend ASFC.

Everywhere we tried there is a wait. Turnover is high, but that seems to be the thing these days. Nobody cares about the profession they themselves chose to be in, which is a shame. I can say they try really hard to turn it around. Good follow up and the wait time for the doctor has decreased a lot.
