I'm not sure who you spoke to however Highland Rivers Health does accept private pay. They have a sliding scale fee system. They no longer accept commercial insurance. Monday and Wednesday are Open Access days starting at 8 am.. Intakes are done on a first come first serve basis except for individuals who are hospital release or crisis appointments. You need a GA ID, SSA card, of and proof of income. They'll give you time to get proof of income and SSA card.
That staff works really hard to provide the best care possible to all the individuals they serve.

I graduated from this program about 6 months ago. It is the best program in the state. And very very affordable. The facility is a huge house in the Jasper mountains with beautiful scenery all around.

Ronnie and Penny Haynes (they run the place) do a great job of making it a safe place where you can develop a clear and sustainable path to recovery and healing. I met so many good men who changed their lives at Good Shepherd, me included.
Ronnie and Penny treat you like their own family. They will love you even if you don't want to be loved.
Penny is a fantastic counselor who does not force you to heal, but I promise you, she will earn your trust. And then you will want to heal. You will want to open up to Penny so you can get your life back on track.
And Ronnie is like a good father who will fight for you even when you don't have the heart to fight for yourself. Recovery is hard, and it is hard on the people around you too, but Ronnie and Penny will not abandon you. They will be with you every step of the way.
I could go on and on - and probably should - but the point is that the Good Shepherd is a place where you can focus on your own healing in a safe and wonderful place surrounded by good people who truly want you to live your best sober life.
If you are reading this, I'm sure you or a family member is having a tough time. I don't know you but I know God loves you and I love you too, and whatever hardships you are going through in life, I know that you can find help here. I certainly did.

This is a wonderful place for men in need of a safe place to recover from many forms of addiction. The home is huge and welcoming and provides men a place to learn many great things . The counseling is fantastic too. It is a Christ centered ministry, and Pastor Ronnie and Penny are sound Biblical teachers of The Word. They are honest and sincere. And the Lord is blessing this ministry.

Once 2025 hit they became impossible to work with after years of (relatively) smooth sailing. Even ppl like me who come once a month, never missed a day or failed a test are being harassed by staff for rules never previously conveyed or enforced. You'll also be randomly TEXT, not called but TEXT to provide personal information from random telephone numbers by people speaking broken english without warning from the clinic, then reprimanded for refusing to interact or provide your personal info to this random individual/phone number thru text. They'll make you rather quit than deal with them. That's one strategy I guess. Will save me money.
They basically allow you to break rules so that they can cite you when they want to display their "power" over you, it's disgusting.

I definitely have to put my input in about this location. I have been coming to Woodstock for the past few months almost a year and have notice a difference in management which has been amazing but not a difference with the front office personnel. The female at the front desk myself and a few other patients has notice about her. Personally I have saw her let people of her color pass with charging credits to their accounts and when it comes to other colors she won’t let charge. She has personally done it to me and gave me such a hard time to charge. Thank goodness for someone standing behind me who decided to cover my tab which was only $8!!! Her attitude is sooo unprofessional and it’s pretty obvious of the racism with her as well. Hope someone does something about this!!! I rated a 3 star just because of the counselors there. It would be a 5 star if I didn’t feel the racism from front office..

I graduated from the carter treatment center today.
I completed the PHP/IOP program and have 195 days sober now. I will be staying for aftercare to continue to work and focus on my recovery.
This program gave me the accountability and tools to be successful and live a life without drugs and alcohol. I am very grateful for the opportunity to come here and all the staff that was supportive and were a big part in my journey.

After 4 or 5 failed attempts to stop abusing alcohol I wound up at MARR. The day after my 50th birthday. I was extremely upset and disappointed with myself. But something told me that I belonged there. And I made the best decision of my life. To stay there.
I stayed for the mandatory 3 months and then an extra four more.
Not only did I learn to stop drinking and live life without alcohol, but I leather be an adult. To ask for help. And most importantly I learned that I was not alone in my life or my journey.
Wonderful place with great staff. You may not know it or believe it but this place is the BEST chance you have at getting sober and learning how to live a good life. Period.

I wanted to write a review to say how thankful I am to this facility and the incredible team (special shout out to my therapist Angela and Josh )who work here. Upon arrival I was going through it. From the very beginning the staff welcomed me with compassion, respect, and patience. Not only did they provide incredible treatment- they provided me with a family-like support. I felt understood, safe, and valued.
The therapists and facilitators earnestly listened and helped me navigate through the most difficult time of my life . Thanks to them I made progress and built confidence, learned healthier ways to cope, and began to learn how to love myself. I never felt alone, and felt encouraged and cared for each and every step of the way.

I enjoyed the cognitive behavioral treatment and the off campus activities. I really appreciate the workers at this hospital. They are kind, accomodating and respectful. I didn't feel condescended to, nor treated like less of a human being. I felt that the workers set a tone of respect and dignity and support on the unit. The groups were awesome and very well facilitated. I felt like they weren't just there for a paycheck, that they actually cared about doing a good job. I would definitely go back there if I ever need mental health inpatient care.

It was a safe place during my most suicidal years. I really appreciated the ability to isolate in my room, unlike other facilities that lock the rooms during the day. That was a necessity for me as an autistic person, in order to prevent overwhelm and truly feel safe. Therapy groups could be stressful, but I wasn't forced to attend which I really appreciate. When life feels so out of control, small things like that can go a long way

I came to this center after a traumatic experience. These people made me whole again. I cannot say how much this place meant to me the 4 months I was there. Caring nurses, wonderful doctors and a cook who knew how to make hospital food palatable. I cannot recommend this place more!

First of all, if you or a loved one are struggling with addiction of any kind, please know there is hope. My heart goes out to you. Stay strong, stay connected, and never lose faith.
ARP has truly been an angel sent into my life. I feel so blessed that our paths crossed. When I thought my world was ending and I was losing all hope, they stepped in—for both me and my daughter. Now, about five years later, I can honestly say they saved my daughter’s life, and in many ways, they saved my family too.
It’s not magic—it takes hard work—but none of it would have been possible without the people who work there. I may forget some names, but Jeff in particular is a gift from God. He does his job with love, empathy, honesty, a sense of fun, and unwavering dedication.

I was literally in the middle of of miss carrying this would of been my second visit in the same weak when I expressed earlier this week when I came the pain I was in and I was spotting they informed me I was dealing with normal pregnancy stuff just for me to come back 5 days later explaining I’m soaking a adult brief every hour they left me in the lobby for 2 hours and then moved me to a side room to pee and take blood and moved me immediately back to the waiting room I had asked for pain meds they ignored me and gave me nothing I absolutely hate being a black women in need of health care weee so over looked

Mt Sinai was very helpful for my family and our loved one from start to finish. The entire staff was very warm and welcoming. We have been dealing with this for almost 10 years and Mt Sinai actually addressed his underlying issues for the first time ever. The people at sunrise probably saved my life. I had been binge drinking and hiding vodka throughout the house for years before I went there. I had gone to many therapists, AA meetings, etc. Everyone there is going through the same struggle and, therefore, no one is judgemental at all. One therapist in particular went above and beyond, and I can't thank him enough. Christian not only took the time to talk to me hours after he was supposed to leave, but he called all of his colleagues to find the perfect fit for me after my detox. I've always been timid talking in groups, but he found a 15 person women's only rehab facility and it was the perfect fit. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The people at sunrise actually listen to you and truly want what's best for you.

This is a clean clinic and has many great qualities that can very much help your road to sobriety! However,the main issue here is the CONSTANT councilor change! As soon as one gets comfortable with their counselor, they leave. It is such piece of mind to build a relationship with your councilor and the nurses, just so you can have that report and someone that knows you and can be in your corner if ever needed. There are alot of patients that are not there for the right reasons, then there are also alot of patients that ARE there for the right reasons. The constant change certainly does not give one peace of mind. Familiar faces change places. I can not help but think its the higher ups not doing what is necessary to keep them happy in their workplace. Its sad really! Seeing consistency is very important, especially for addicts working on their road to recovery!
Otherwise I do believe this is a good place that has alot to offer addiction recovery for the ones who truly want it!

If the Recovery services that are offered by this center are needed, I can't think of a better place to go! Woodstock treatment center has professional Counselors that are non-judgemental, kind and empathetic, (shout out to Lindsay!) developing a plan of care tailored to the individual's needs so recovery though painful is attainable. As a bonus it is affordable even if you do not have insurance. The only negative is lack of parking.

I have been a client with Georgia hope for a year now via zoom/teams teletherapy. My first therapist was so amazing she was the one. She was the one who inspired me to get my bachelor's degree in Psychology for mental health. Then go for my masters to become an LPC. Well she ended up moving onto another job in April of this year. Then I got my new one end of April. I loved her too but sadly she's going somewhere else too. I see the new one next week. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news. I feel as if that shouldn't be happening as for some people like myself bringing up their trauma every time with a new therapist causes ptsd for weeks.

I had my first appointment today. I could not be more pleased with how much the staff cares about my mental health. From the receptionist, to the nurse, to the nurse practitioner, they were all fantastic, pleasant, informative and really seemed to want to see me get the help I need to live a normal life. There is definitely a process in order to become an established patient, but once you take care of all that this is an amazing organization staffed with individuals who show up to help people in need. My therapist is Gabby and psych is Dr. Hill, both exemplary human beings! They are down to Earth, real people who care. The front desk ladies are soooo kind and the pharmacist greets you with an understanding smile. If you need help, these human beings are here to do just that. Situations can be frustrating in life. Scheduling can be cumbersome at times if you stay busy. But the bottom line is, these people WILL HELP YOU. They saved my life.

The one GREAT thing about the Oakwood VA Medical Clinic is the Department of Veterans Services Representative Pablo Cruz. Pablo Cruz is highly professional, really cares about Veterans and is very knowledgeable of how the VA Disability System works. It's wonderful to know there is someone connected to a VA Medical Facility that can be trusted. I've had so many frustrating experiences at the many VA Medical Facilities I've used since returning from Vietnam in 1970 and for the most part the Oakwood VA Clinic is filled with the same type of personnel you would expect to find at any VA Medical Facility, they're there for a paycheck, not to care for Veterans. A beautiful building with plenty of parking but until the VA Medical personnel can follow the EXAMPLARY Behavior displayed by Pablo Cruz, faith in the VA Medical System will never be restored. The only reason I would use the Oakwood VA Clinic is for seeking assistance from the Department of Veterans Services Representative Pablo Cruz. He is the only reason I'm giving this facility a 5 Star rating, if it weren't for Pablo Cruz, I'd rate this facility what I rate all VA Medical Facilities, ZERO.
