Gateway showed me the way to save my life! I'm going to talk about the app. I love it. I have had struggles with having a daily routine my whole life. This app is something I use daily. There have been days when I was struggling that I would just scroll through people's posts and comment on all of them. It would help me get out of my head . I absolutely loved going to the alumni event at Busch stadium. I love that I've got to reconnect with people that I've gone to inpatient with.

This place was all about helping others get to the starting point in your life to see there is life out there without drugs if you want it that bad you can have it . Even though I left there and I relapsed 4 years ago that was my choice that I made because I wasn't ready then . Now I'm thriving ,sober ,have my kids back in my life ,and a new baby girl . This place made a big impact on my life that's why I'm writing this review 4 years later after I left. Some of the staffs inspiring stories and words is what got me to where I am today and I'm very thankful for that. Recovery will only work if u let it and it's hard work but yout have to put in the work to get in life you want to go . Don't give up . I would be lieing if I said recovery is easy but one day u will wake up and realize it gets easier u just got to.want it and put 100% in to get it

Although I have not personally needed their services, I have acquaintances who were very fortunate to have been helped by ARCA. I was also lucky enough to have been invited to the premiere of the movie Antagonist. It really opened my eyes to the work they are doing to try and transform the way addiction is handled and better ways to treat it.

The program is challenging as it should be wild demanding you to be your absolute best. There are no shortcuts and there are no excuses. Howeve, all of this is complimented with a level of care and consideration by staff who understand the human dilemma as they offer their expertise in wisdom to guide you through it. I have using the VA system since 2016, both JB and JC, both are very friendly and helpful, I have never had any problems at either facility. Every request or question sent by Secure messaging has been answered and responded to promptly and with expertise. Absolutely life saving . This is an amazing program ,with amazing people helping rebuild lives from the ground up . I was homeless while pregnant and addicted to shooting drugs . At 5 months pregnant my heart failed and I was rushed to st. Louis, Missouri, all alone ,pregnant and about to die. Due to my condition that I had created via my addiction . I underwent Open heart surgery .I survived 2 months later in the hospital, no one was waiting for me after my discharge from hospital. I was homeless in a city unknown to me and due to have a baby in a few months .Queen of Peace took me in, and was waiting for me when I got there even paid for me an Uber from hospital to cathedral towers. I have God to thank for giving me Queen of Peace . Thank you .

for having no funding they're great for the fact they offer showers, laundry, a chance to earn weekly bis tickets, lunch everyday at noon and a place to charge your phone out the elements but very bias, a little judgemental and if I hear "you can catch more flies using honey than vinegar" again I'm gonna wig out.... I've just gotten my 3rd caseworker and the first 2 were really lazy, lying weirdos and I think it's weird that 1 hit on me (a man) and the other went to work with kids (he was questionable like that)... hope the 3rd don't follow in the weirdness and I don't think they will. fingers crossed.

I love this place, because it helps me love myself. get to know myself. it's really a growing spot people can really grow here( spiritually , mentally and physically) when you're on drugs you know you stuck! now you lie to yourself and you don't even know it. you know they help me recognize my lies in me. the way you think backwards sometimes you know; I used to think they were good and I like them in the matter is that are not good for me and they never had been. it' s taken relationship my friends my kids . They teach me how to gain my dignity back my respect for me and others. how I can be balanced I'm learning not to drink from my lower self but my higher self as like what would your God. It's about being a better person that I was contagious for and keep that going and growing.

I used to be depressed and suicidal, but now I'm only a little depressed and not suicidal at all. Tysm ilysm. And I hope you still have that picture of you. I'm crying rn if you actually respond. 🥰🥰🥰 I really want to go back even though I'm all better. If you have any suicidal thoughts go see a counselor, or go to mercy/ hospital but only if you don't feel safe at home. Don't make suicide into a joke. It's a serious thing. I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible care I received from the ED and maternity staff. I didn’t catch the names of the two young ladies at the front, but they were so kind and went above and beyond to make sure I was directed to the right department. As a high-risk pregnant patient preparing for a trip, I came in seeking reassurance, even though it wasn’t an emergency and they truly advocated for me so I could be seen. That meant more than I can express. Once I was in the maternity ward, I was cared for by Maddy, who was absolutely wonderful. She listened attentively to my concerns, made sure I was comfortable, and treated me with such compassion, it really made me feel like what I was experiencing mattered. Medical student Advika was also very sweet. Even though she was observing, she brought warmth to the room and made the experience more personal, we even shared some laughs, which helped ease my nerves. Then Nurse Practitioner Dr. Alex came in and truly exceeded all expectations. She conducted my exam thoroughly, addressed every concern I had, and completely put my mind at ease. On top of that, she took the time to call me the next day to follow up and wish me a safe trip. That level of care and follow-through is rare and deeply appreciated. This was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hospital. Because of these amazing women, I’m heading into my trip feeling confident, reassured, and at peace. Thank you all for the exceptional care, you made a lasting impact! I know sometimes DePaul Hospital gets a bad reputation, but there are still some positives at this center.

Centerstone has been one of the best providers put into place for me. I entered harris house on january first this year... i didnt know what to expect when i entered. had some anxiety. i was there for 3 weeks, everyone was so compationate about my recovery i was impressed by that. i really like the fact that most all the counselors were former addicts themselves, and they knew what we were going through. ginny was my counselor and i met with her once a week. i have had alot of grief in my family. i lost 3 brothers. one at 22, the other at 37, and my other brother at 63. here at harris house, they gave me some tools to deal with my loss..i started drinking at age 18, until i got married at 30. i was sober for 14 years while married to my wife. well after we divorced i began drinking pretty much every day...well long story short, i had had enough of the damn alcohol and decided to get help. i just am so glad for harris house and how you all helped me...so thanks to you and your staff, i can get my life together sober. thank you so much and please keep helping others.. oh and by the way, the food is great as well...thank you.. signed jeff vance

I've never had a truly long wait nor a bad experience like you hear about in the news. Every one from the valet parking to the social workers at the very back of the building have been helpful, cheerful and provided the best services ive ever experienced. Paije Douglas is absolutely AMAZING!!! I’ve never met anyone who is so devoted to helping people get clean! If you are truly looking to change your life and stop abusing opiates, I highly recommend coming to St Louis Metro Treatment Center and joining the IOP program that she is in charge of. She goes out of her way to get people set up with medical detox and then sober living and/or whatever other arrangements you need in order to be in a safe place so you can start healing! We have a lot of fun in her groups while still learning a lot about our addiction. Thank you Paije, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for helping me get my life right and supporting my recovery! Great place to get help with opioid addiction Mrs. Bell the director is amazing person who truly cares about her patience. The nurses are amazing and listen and the counselors truly care all of them.( It's been three years since I left my first review of MedMark and I still feel it is an accurate review I would like to point out that there's rules that you have to follow when you're in treatment and a lot of people don't follow those rules and when they're held accountable they leave bad reviews. The rules are there to help you not only gets sober but stay sober and I can wholeheartedly say that the director Miss Bell and her staff truly care about each and every patient at that clinic. ..)

I can’t say enough good things about this DUI counseling program. The teachers here truly go above and beyond…George, Troy, and Noel each share real-life stories and situations that make the lessons not only impactful but also relatable. You can tell they genuinely care about the work they do and about helping people learn and grow. Even Shelly, in the office, is kind and very relatable. What stood out to me most is that this program isn’t just for people with a DUI…it’s information that everyone should hear! The way it’s taught makes you reflect, and I honestly believe these lessons could benefit anyone, whether or not they’ve ever made the mistake of driving under the influence. It’s a truly valuable program run by people who care about making a difference.

I Read some of the review and they are definitely true. They do go in smelling like weed. The head person lies to the parents if the child is white. They lied and said my son left the building when he didn't. They threatened to file a police report. My son told the same as someone else posted about them some of the staff being racist towards white kids. This place definitely needs shut down and I would definitely be willing to get together with other parents to take it to court.

These negative comments are no joke. I just hired a lawyer and even after I get my son out of there, I'll be making it a mission to get that facility's doors closed and expose it all. Some staff seem decent, but there is a lot of shady business going on in there, for sure. Us parents should join together and make it happen. If anyone is interested, please contact me.
