My psychiatrist recommended Suncloud because I was going through a really tough time in my life. I was hesitant because I was at another treatment facility and didn't have a great experience. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to Suncloud because the staff were all so kind and genuinely cared about helping you. Their process groups can be tough but are so helpful in working through your trauma. It's been a year now since I started treatment and I can confidently say that I learned the skills and created an amazing support group that have helped me be in such a better place. Even after you're out of treatment, they have an awesome alumni group with plenty of opportunities to connect with others that have gone through similar things. I highly recommend Suncloud.

When I came to Symetria I was fairly depressed about my abuse of alcohol. I knew it wasn’t who I truly was and I needed the help to recognize positive ways to help me identify what I was doing that put me into a downward cycle of binge drinking. Through the Intensive Outpatient program coupled with Individual counseling and attending SMART meetings I discovered a clear path to follow to stop what I was doing and move forward in life without alcohol. I’m proud to say I’m coming up on 4 months completely alcohol free and it feels amazing! The staff at Symetria absolutely cares about each individual’s success and they put the person first. I was in a very dark place, but what I found was an organization filled with people who truly care from my counslers Alice and Tori, to my fellow Group members . Even when circumstances were working against me, like my insurance trying to force me to go elsewhere despite the clear progress I was making, the staff never gave up on me. This was my first attempt at asking for help for my alcoholism after 5 decades of drinking. This program is excellent , the counselors are the best at explaining our disease and giving us the tools and knowledge to live a life of sobriety. The manager of Care Addiction is always their to answer any questions or concerns you may have. I definitely suggest this program if you are having issues with addiction to drugs or alcohol. They will sincerely help you and if I can do it there is definite hope for you. I must add the key to becoming sober is listen to the counselors , do what they ask of you and I promise you will be on the road to sobriety! And it is a wonderful feeling and life is awesome!

I choose to take part of the Symetria program voluntarily and it was one of the best decisions of my life! Not only are the staff like family, so are the individuals that pick Symetria too. Now days, customer service is pathetic and people are rude and most push you out the door, but not here. This place has the warm feeling like "The door is always open", and "how can we help you", We are here for you, it doesn't matter the time or the day, we care about you. You're a shining star and a success, not a failure. This place is secure, confidential, clean and has several options to help you along your journey. You are able to volunteer your time, make new friends and can help save a life, change a life and feel proud of who you are. Brian and John from Naperville are excellent group leaders (you are lucky if you get to meet them), and (Chris from Vernon Hills is a great counselor, who will make the time to ensure your needs are met). Symetria creates an environment where people feel safe, supported, and valued. The morning IOP group supported me through the hardest part of my life and I will forever be grateful for the amazing people I met. I think each one of us in the group looked forward to our time together in that healing place. Our counselor Brian is an expert in his field. He led our group through many difficult topics and conversations and did so with enormous compassion. Individual sessions with Brian were always insightful. Brian has a unique way of making each of his clients feel good about themselves. I really enjoyed the program here at Banyan Chicago. The staff here was very helpful with assisting me in my new recovery journey as well as my goals. Being at Banyan has been an absolutely transformative experience to say the least. My recovery journey from where I started before Banyan to where I am now after Banyan has been a complete 360, and I owe it to the staff and the knowledge that Banyan provided me. Amanda, Payton, Maggie, Alexis, and Mike are the best recovery counselors I've ever worked with before, and its been a privilege to work with and learn from such state of the art individuals. I'm actually heartbroken to be leaving this program, because their help has been so impactful. I look forward to going to Banyan Alumi meetings in the future, and I want to say a big thank you to all those who helped me along my journey to recovery.

I see a lot of negative reviews on here and my experience might have been different due to my age (late 30s). I wanted to be at TK. I didn't have someone make the decision for me, although my husband was very supportive. Out of all the staff, there were only 2 I didn't like. Not that they were bad, just a clash with our personalities. I have epilepsy, it's chronic and active. I had to go home to have surgery (a replacement battery for the device that helps control my seizures). I was gone for about 36 hours. The staff was great with my seizures and with my surgery. I thought I was going to need to go back when my husband passed away, but I made it through. A lot of that I can credit TK with for giving me the tools to work with. The only problem I really had was leaving. Leaving was terrifying because that safety net just vanished. That is one thing I think the staff needs to prepare you a bit better for. I've been healthy since leaving. Sure, I still get the feelings/urges on occasion but I created my own safety net. I can control the urges. I'm actually rather proud of myself. PS - If any of the former staff ever reads this "Meany Mo-Mo" you know who you are. Thank you, for all you did. Your patience, your help, and just being there when I needed it. You literally are the best. <3

I must say, during a time when a person is going through an awful situation and trying to get back to normal, it is important to know that there are still people out there who genuinely do the hard work to help others to get back on track. My son has been struggling for years and has been to several rehabs. Some bad some great. He's currently at this one and I have seen such a huge difference in him! He is making healthy plans for the future and is full of hope again! He loves that they get to go outside for basketball and the other clients act like family. I like that it's separated with men on one unit and ladies on the other. Having been through treatments myself, I know this is crucial. My son has nothing but good things to say about this facility and I can definitely see the positive change, as can our family. We thank you 🙏❤️

They have adolescent and adult services for anxiety/depression and dual diagnosis (mental health with addiction to a substance). Their program uses evidence based practices and provides real tools for living a life according to your values despite such issues. I know several students who benefited from the program and was able to meet them directly. Definitely a place to go for help.

I recently stayed here for 10 days starting my ECT treatment. All of the MHAs are spectacular, sweet, funny, respectful. The Nurses were kind and professional. The doctors were knowledgeable and helpful. The beds were decent, and the food was good enough. The phone call ability was nice, and the groups were well informed and positive. Brendan the MHA was awesome and super good to me and made me feel right at home. Dr Ahmari was kind and professional and got me ECT help I need. All the staff was wonderful and I couldn’t be more grateful for my linden oaks care team. Thank you so much to everyone on the Adult/Detox unit for helping me and being so great to me.

I was just there like today and everyone was soo nice and helpful. This place was amazing I was in the A1E unit and it really helped me. The staff was really nice the food was decent and I loved the schedule. The only thing is if you do end up here be ready for a really thin bed that’s as hard as a rock. So thank you linden oaks for helping me and giving me the help I needed and setting up my own PHP for me.

This was my first stay at any mental health facility at the age of 49. I suffered a sudden and unexpected loss and had an attempt which landed me in the ICU for 7 days. Following that I was transferred to Linden Oaks Naperville inpatient. The first day was terrifying and I spent most of it in my room. I just wanted to go home. The next day though and the remaining days, I came to experience the care and support that LO provides its patients every day. There is no judgement or neglect. They are extra quick with bringing you an ice ball or providing requested aromatherapy as well as model magic. I swear I must have gone through tens of those bc I loved them so much for fidgeting. Groups and therapy sessions were of utmost value, each one making me feel more sane and believing I could function again. The thing is though, you have to be willing to learn and be helped in order to gain any valuable skills from the sessions. I know I did and I left the unit feeling empowered and capable of facing reality. Forever thankful patient.
