This place will change your life if you want to change your life. I've unfortunately been through this environment more than one time. This place gives you the tools and resources to have at your disposal in the 'Real' world. Staff is very caring. The environment is mostly clean. Also, the hospital food here is pretty good.

I have been going here for outpatient behavioral health for 3 or so years and have had two different practitioners. Both of them were great. Ive always felt listened to as well as felt that my health was in good hands.

If anybody has anything negative to say it’s for a few reasons and none the fault of the clinic. If you’re working the program correctly, you won’t have any problems. I highly recommend cap, the staff works with you, not against you. if you’re ready for treatment, this is the place. The counselors nurses and doctors are the best around and care about you. They have lots of resources if you need help in other areas of life.

READ FULL HONEST REVIEW, NOT WHINERS! I came to CAPS at the end of my rope, pregnant, & with a warrant for my arrest. I had been on IV heroin for about 10 yrs I think? & had lost everything. I started using in high school. I worked, was an honor roll student, had a car, in HIGH SCHOOL, in an upper class suburb, with a police officer/psychologist mother, & fairly comfortable life. At this time, it was thought it couldn't happen to someone like me; but IT DID. I left home, barely made it to graduation unshowered & strung out, had lost my job, my family, & any of the values/morals I was raised with. I eventually moved to the west side where it only got darker. There were MULTIPLE detoxes, outpatient programs, rehabs, jail, homelessness, rape, kidnapping, sleeping in shelters & snowy parks; this did NOTHING to detur me. I was lost, & was absolutely going to kill myself. I was out on bond from jail, disappeared on probation & treatment, had warrants, the U.S. Marshall's looking for me, & then, I found out I was pregnant! My usual detox facility (😳 who says that?!) told me that since I was pregnant I was a liability, methadone was my only option. My mother, who ONCE WAS against "swapping one addiction for another" took the medical advice & drove me to CAPS. Pregnant, scared, broken, & wanted by the police, I stumbled into CAPS. I was not judged, but understood & comforted. I was treated as human opposed to the scum I knew I was. I ended up getting picked up on that warrant a month later, & spent 3 months pregnant in jail. The jail drove me daily to the clinic, & CAP made arrangements to dose me EVERY SINGLE DAY for the safety of my unborn child. My judge even gave me 1 last shot to get myself together for my unborn child. That was 15+ YEARS ago now, & I'm so blessed to say I have remained sober with the help of CAPS, my counselors, the nurses, the old administrator Teri, & ALL the staff at CAPS! Why CAP & not another clinic? Glad you asked 😆 Not sure if its changed, but other clinics refused to dose higher than 80mg which IMO was not be enough (for me) but especially with the fent/D I was on. Other clinics charge the same OR MORE, are in ghetto towns where u can get your drug 🤦‍♀️, & they don't council you just dose (so you'll probably relapse). There's a reason people drive HOURS to get to CAP; the other clinics suck 🤷‍♀️ If you can't make it to CAP, go to ANY clinic!!! But if you can, CAP is best! I read other reviews, some may look at my 15 years & say I'm just addicted to something else, & you know what, maybe 🤷‍♀️ But FOR ME (& a lot of other addicts) I had been using for SOOO many years with no relief in sight, I had gone to many facilities & had relapsed immediately EVERY. SINGLE TIME. I was hanging out & living in crack houses in the west side, getting infections, not showering, & many other things I'd rather not post publicly... If getting a LEGAL prescription, in Downers Grove, keeps me free of needles, diseases, overdose, & losing my child is the alternative, WHO CARES?!? More importantly, that says absolutely nothing about CAP, but more about the nature of addiction. Its a viscous cycle, but methadone, & more specifically the staff at CAP, have given me MY LIFE BACK, and is helping me dose down! I am no longer just existing, I'm thriving, thanks to CAP of Downers Grove! Let me vent on another review. WHEN IN RECOVERY, NOBODY IS GOING TO FIGHT HARDER THAN YOU! If YOU want it, YOU gadda show it, THEN CAP staff & methadone will do everything to help. CAP DOOOES take Medicaid (just not the crap ones that never pay out). A number. To keep things confidential you are literally a #, but you ARE NOT treated as a number! Everyone knows MY name. You CAN get carries & not work; im disabled w/ a kid & go once/month! But if u can, get a damn job 🤦‍♀️ People get chances IF THEY ARE HONEST, & DON'T CAUSE WAVES. My boyfriend/baby daddy/hubby/whatever & I have been here for 15+ years, have not had 1 issue, & I have had the staff go to bat for me with court, my disability claim, etc. Stop whining if you aren't all in 💯

I am not sure i can properly put into words how important my time at footprints was. I do believe they helped me save my life. The entire staff is full of love, care and kindness. They were professional and diligent in my treatment. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone facing struggles with mental health and addiction. I read a few negative reviews before deciding to check myself. I am so grateful i ignored them and checked into footprints.

This facility is just amazing! Truly felt like everyone cared about me, and I can honestly say I trusted everyone in there. Trust is very hard for me, but the adult program and the staff allowed me to be myself with no judgement. I'm trying so hard to follow the rules and not name any staff but will give a broad review. Right when you walk in the staff is friendly, always smiling which in turn made me smile. The supervisor is amazing; the head of the counselors who leads the group therapy is one of the best people I ever met. The staff that lead the groups cared about me, and it was genuine, and they are so smart and fun. From the psychiatrist to my therapist everyone was on the same page. I just want to say thank you to everyone there from the bottom of my heart!

Life feels beautiful again and i couldn’t be more thankful! Brad is a wonderful human and you can really feel how much everyone there cares. Most grateful for this treatment center on my 7th anniversary sober from alcohol. The seeds Hazeldon planted saved my life! Shame on whoever is letting Susan Nice run meetings out of your building. She let a stranger stroke my leg her entire meeting and never stopped it once. Had the audacity to ask if it was my boyfriend after. Knowing I live with PTSD from abuse being my longtime 'godsponsor'. She just spoke at the Canada opening. How are you letting someone so detached from reality speak to those in need of help? How many meetings has she been to? Her suggestions along with Laura Ws (whos Mom works with congress scary enough) and the ladies of AA in particular are reckless. Suggested I do my first lead of life and didnt show up. How many woman have you sponsored Laura? You suggested more fellowship and ditched me at my first AA dance. 2 ladies came to Windy City Church women's big book meeting on Mondays and felt so shamed the went home and killed themselves. Those ladies made me feel the same but I refuse to kill myself though your careless suggestions made me feel like I should. The ladies in AA arent doctors. Thanks for being professionals Hazeldon. Alano clubs are hot spots for gossip that's ruining lives. Grateful to be alive and sober. Thanks for starting my journey with me 14 years ago! Hiding under fake names to gain personal information is illegal too Tricia. Shame on all of you ladies.

Everyone is doing the best they can given how many veterans come and go throughout the hospital every single day. Suncloud has been a life saver. The staff was and is always welcoming and caring. One of the things that has been the most helpful for me has been the aftercare, follow ups and continued connection I get with them. It has become part of my family now and its a lifestyle. One of the things I lost in my life was a sense of being part of my community and having that desire to isolate from people. I dont feel that way anymore because of Suncloud. Now I have friends and people I really trust. Which is huge to me with my trust issues. Suncloud taught me that I cannot do this alone and showed me that I wasnt alone. So I want to let anyone know who is looking into treatment Banyan was such a fantastic experience for me. I owe them such a debt of GRATITUDE. I am a middle-aged woman with kids who was struggling with drinking - life was just sad for me due to some pretty terrible trauma-I knew I needed to make a change and I came to Banyan. I was scared & ashamed. They treated me with such kindness. The program was well structured & professional. The financial obligation was manageable. Everyone there continues to check on my progress. Banyan in lisle iL, is absolutely amazing! From the 30 day residential to the PHP THEY WERE SO WECOMING! The classes and groups are great. PHP is awesome to they take us to church, grocery shopping, Walmart, and we do events!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone getting sober.

I can’t say enough about Micawla and Cliff! We came over from the professional building after hearing some disheartening news. We needed further lab tests, one for a C-T scan. We were told we would have to make an appointment and return at another time. Just so happens that Cliff, who actually does the test, walked in while we were waiting to set up the test. He over heard our situation and immediately said he would fit us in his schedule. With help from Micwala, we were able to do the test the same day. Their overwhelming kindness and compassion were second to none. I would highly recommend Holy Family for their available services and will definitely schedule any further testing with them. Been going to Family Guidance for awhile now and I absolutely recommend this methadone clinic to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. Once you get to the correct methadone dose the dope sickness is mostly gone and then you can slowly get back to a normal life. I've had a few counselors since going here and all were nice and professional but my current one Gary is Awesome. He seems to really care and is always helpful. I would most likely be dead if I didn't sign up at Family Guidance. If you're looking for a way to stop using dope give this clinic a try.

Being hopeful, heard a lot... From many and within... Physical health etc... the many lies, make so much up. We have a voice! But you can't!! Seen many good people.... The despair, trying to improve... Why??? Just for saying what's going on here, taken advantage of, false promises, came back here in good faith like many.. put forth so much to rebuild etc... new health conditions, put down for a certain one..

I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard. Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!

PSI saved my life. The people here not only helped me want to live a healthier life, but they also helped me find my voice again. This was my second IOP program and honestly the service and care that I received was on a completely different level. Mike Geraci is one of the best therapists I've ever had the pleasure of working with. PSI and Mike went above and beyond for me and my peers to make sure that we finished the program ready to jump back into our lives. I also spent time and stayed at the sober living apartments through PSI and would highly recommend this choice. The apartment was comfortable and in a great location. I also met some of my best friends here and made lasting friendships. I am forever grateful to PSI. Thank you again for everything!
