This place offers all kinds of different programs, I can only review the MAT program. They accept all IL insurance, including Medicaid. It is definitely a little more strict and rigid than the for-profit MAT clinics. It works for me though because I do better with a little structure in my life. I would recommend you give them a call if you or someone you love needs a helping hand.

The news that they are closing makes me so sad.
Call for Help helped me and my 16 year old daughter during a time when we were homeless
Not only did they help us they gave us resources for furniture and paid our rent for 18 months through Rapid Rehousing
Our duplex was Beautiful in a nice area (I found it and they paid for it)
I will never forget the generosity shown to us through the United Way via Call for Help; my daughter and I were broken
It was domestic violence
I found that I didn’t need a man over me and my child to make me Happy, I was Happier without him
It would take the courage of walking out for me to discover it;

I am a recovering IV heroin addict, I have struggled with maintaining sobriety and managing bipolar and anxiety. I have been going here for a few years now and I have been able to stay clean with MAT and consistently manage my mental health. I have seen a few different providers in my time there but they have all been amazing! I feel heard and safe and every there has your best interest in mind. I look forward to my appointment every month. Everyone from the receptionists to the pharmacy and providers are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Queen of Peace gave me the tools to save myself from alcohol addiction. Overall, I found the staff to be dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate.
It’s scary admitting you need help with an addiction, especially when you realize you need inpatient treatment. I had a tough time adjusting at first (ended up with 8! roommates in 2 months) but the counselors, peer support staff, and BHTs were always understanding, and supportive. Having access to the beautiful chapel was a blessing as well.
The outpatient program is just as helpful as inpatient. It’s the perfect way to transition back to your “new” normal life.

I have been going to Comtrea for years And they are amazing. Always extremely helpful kind courteous and caring. They have helped me in so many different ways I can't even explain how thankful that I am for them. Without Comtrea I'm not sure how my life would be today thank you very much for all of your help everybody the staff and doctors are all wonderful. I love this place, because it helps me love myself. get to know myself. it's really a growing spot people can really grow here( spiritually , mentally and physically) when you're on drugs you know you stuck! now you lie to yourself and you don't even know it. you know they help me recognize my lies in me. the way you think backwards sometimes you know; I used to think they were good and I like them in the matter is that are not good for me and they never had been. it' s taken relationship my friends my kids . They teach me how to gain my dignity back my respect for me and others. how I can be balanced I'm learning not to drink from my lower self but my higher self as like what would your God. It's about being a better person that I was contagious for and keep that going and growing.

I AM VIETNAM COMBAT VETERAN. THE VA HAD NO ROOMS SO I HAD TO CHOOSE FROM 4 HOSPITALS. SO HAD PREVIOUSLY TAKEN MY WIFE WHO HAS MS TO ST. JOSEPH'S AND WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE WAY SHE CARED FOR. SO I CHOSE TO GO TO ST. JOSEPH'S I HAD SERIOUS LEG INFECTION THAT DID NOT ALLOW ME TO WALK. THEY OPERATED ON ME QUIKLY AND I WAS WALKING IN A WEEK. THIS HOSPITAL IS AWESOME 👌

This location has come along way compared to the way it was before. I’ve been coming here since 2022 and have had better progress and experience than I’ve had with any other facility in my part of Illinois/St. Louis. Although the psychiatric program is horrible and the therapy program would be excellent if you weren’t spending more time getting to know a new therapist every 6 months instead of working on your issues. (so when another job position opens up and pays more these therapist up and leave). For the most part I don’t have anything bad to say about this place my doctor is Kevin Garner and he’s the best primary care Provider that I’ve ever had. He cares and if he can help me with anything he does are points me into the direction I’m supposed to go. I recommend this place for anything from drug addiction to the flu are just getting your meds filled. Just go find a therapist or a psychiatrist somewhere else!!!

I used to be depressed and suicidal, but now I'm only a little depressed and not suicidal at all. Tysm ilysm. And I hope you still have that picture of you. If you have any suicidal thoughts go see a counselor, or go to mercy/ hospital but only if you don't feel safe at home. Don't make suicide into a joke. It's a serious thing. SSM Rehabilitation Hospital has to be the BEST CHOICE for PT and OT in the St. Louis area. I cannot imagine any other facility would be as thorough, caring, and determined to get me back to 'normal' after my surgery and hospital stay.
I have to name the EXCELLENT staff by name as the TRUE heroes need to be recognized. First, the outstanding nursing staff; Winnie, Elham, Lem Lem, Krystal, and Shayla (Shay). They were very attentive and never ONCE made me feel that I was 'bothering' them even when I needed them at midnight or noon.
The techs that went beyond the call of duty and must be named are Lyn - who was always friendly and smiling. This can make a person's day when spending multiple days in a facility. Also, Lea and An'drea were cheerful and attentive. These employees seem to truly LOVE what they do! Thanks to all them! Thanks to SSM Rehab Hospital for hiring people who really CARE about your patients!
Physical Therapy Staff I need to recognize are Megan who was my primary therapist. She was so supportive, understanding, and encouraging. She knew exactly what I needed and 'PUSHED' me to go further and do more than I thought I could! Jeremy and Candace stand out as techs who were there when they were needed and went beyond the call of duty to serve their patients. I will never forget their kindness. The entire staff was so supportive!
Amy, my case manager, was very helpful and set up everything for my return home. She was there to keep me informed. At the time of my illness, Amy was working alone as they were short handed in the Case Management department. She was managing everyone on the floor. I'm going to guess there were almost 50 people at that time on the floor. Her management and people skills shone through at a time when it had to be stressful!

In my opinion, SSM Acute Rehab deserves the highest rating we can give. Let me provide you with a quick overview. Note, I was there over a 3-4 week period.
Doctors: Each patient has a Rehab and Medical doctor who came to see and speak to me everyday of my stay. They were professional and best of all compassionate.
The insurance team fought my insurance company to ensure I received the best care possible and extended my stay 3 times.
The Nurses and Techs responded quickly and worked to assist me with all my needs. I was treated like royalty.
Admittedly, the food was less than satisfying. However, I did not come to eat. I came to work and walk again.
By far, I save my greatest praise to the OTs, PTs and their Techs. Each day I was asked about my goals for that day. You would be surprised how quickly you heal if you accomplish daily goals. This group of individuals outlined expectations and assisted me with encouragement, support, and a sense of compassion I have not witnessed in a long time. My condition was complicated from the beginning, but the team found a way to tackle the road blocks and clear a path for me to succeed! Even though I have a ways to go, I did walk out of the hospital and accomplished my goal with Everyone's help. I cannot thank St. Mary's Rehab enough for the support and compassion. I now think of them as family. These are wonderful people who treat each patient like their own family. I cannot thank them enough.

Best rehab I've been to and everyone was respectful. Doctors, nurses and therapists were wonderful. A lot of care is given to make sure patient is comfortable and satisfied. I improved immensely over my short stay here, from not being able to walk to walking.

My husband was hospitalized with a UTI after a very compassionate yet professional female ER doctor explained the reasons staying would be beneficial. He spent 6days on 5N and EVERY nurse who cared for him did so as if he were a family member. The doctors who treated Tom communicated with me both in person and by telephone.

I recently finished treatment at the Aviary. It changed my life. All of the counselars truly care about every single clients and are awesome helping you in anyway they can. The nurses are super awesome and friendly. The coaches care and run their butts off helping all the clients. The admin office will work their butts off helping in anyway they can(especially hounding your hr department at work to get your insurance info when they drag their feet getting the info sent off). The kitchen staff are awesome, they work so hard fixing good food and they deliver. Love ya Miss Debbie!!!! Nothing bad to say about the Aviary. Thank you so much for helping me. As a former client I have to say Aviary was a life changing experience. The staff really cared for us and was always willing to help. I learned so much from them. Addiction is a killer. I’m so happy and grateful for my experience there. I’m still sober and living my best life in recovery. I would recommend the Aviary to anyone.

My first time visiting JC VA medical facility was truthfully the highlight of my day. Valet members were so helpful and were insistent on putting a smile on my face before even entering the building. I needed water and the woman running the cafe at the front of the main building gave me ice cold water free of charge. I was reading signs trying to figure out where to go on the first and second floor, and each time, a VA team member stopped to help direct me. I had multiple appointments here that day and every provider was so attentive to my questions and helpful with directing me where to go next or what to expect. I look forward to whenever I have to come back and couldn't express the gratitude I felt for the staff at this hospital during my visit!!

I am updating my review because it is no longer relevant. I am very sad to hear that the director John is retiring; he is a wonderful, caring person.
Some tips: they only check bills with a marker that only detects the presence of starch. This only works to ID fake bills that have been printed off of somebody's HP or Lexmark onto cheap printer paper. even accidentally washing your pants with a 20 in the pocket will be enough to "set off" their pens. Bills made priot to 1973 also automatically fail. Because counterfeiters often use bleached, real $1 bills, not only are they vulnerable to larceny, but false positives left me and others feeling judged and unable to dose. I acquired easy to read posters and literature from the St Louis Department of Revenue for local businesses to detect counterfeit currency and distributed them to every window. They did not use them or even try the many ways the US Treasury advises to detect fake currency (microprinting, watermark, texture of raised ink, security thread, color-shifting print, etc.) Implying I have a 65 ton printing press in my basement but used a $1.99 ream from Kinko's.
Speaking of money, they do not take change (coins)and nor do neighboring businesses. They also may not reinmburse you if you don't have the correct bills for exact change.
Counselors are a hit and miss. I have encountered 12 steppers who are proud to treat a disease the same exact way for a near century and are quick to blame you if AA doesn't help, never the program. Even if you have been repeatedly victimized by 13th steppers. Imagine if an antibiotic failed to cure your infection. Would your doctor say you have moral failings and give you more of the same antibiotic? No. Some counselors here do know about smart recovery and other, actually helpful, programs. Do not be afraid to find someone who works.

This place was all about helping others get to the starting point in your life to see there is life out there without drugs if you want it that bad you can have it . Even though I left there and I relapsed 4 years ago that was my choice that I made because I wasn't ready then . Now I'm thriving ,sober ,have my kids back in my life ,and a new baby girl . This place made a big impact on my life that's why I'm writing this review 4 years later after I left. Some of the staffs inspiring stories and words is what got me to where I am today and I'm very thankful for that. Recovery will only work if u let it and it's hard work but yout have to put in the work to get in life you want to go . Don't give up . I would be lieing if I said recovery is easy but one day u will wake up and realize it gets easier u just got to.want it and put 100% in to get it

St Clare Hospital in Fenton is definitely the best hospital in the St Louis area. I have been there for outpatient surgery several times in the past and the doctor and staff were great. This year in April and July, Dr. Palmer performed knee replacements on both of my knees. The check-in staff was organized and efficient, no unnecessary chitchat. Once admitted into the surgical prep area, I appreciated the friendliness of the staff, and their experience and expertise made me feel less anxious and more comfortable about the surgery. Both times I stayed overnight and I was treated extremely well. The anesthesiologists, nurses, and doctors were professional and treated me with great care, respect, and empathy. Even the occupational and physical therapists showed sincere concern and understanding, and provided clear instructions to adhere to the exercises once released. The rooms are private and well furnished, and the beds are very comfortable. Everything is extremely clean and sanitary, which shows even the janitorial staff are well skilled and care about other's wellbeing. Honestly, I would recommend this hospital and it's staff for any surgery! Just know in the past three years, I have personally required three major surgeries and inpatient hospitalizations in another very well known nationally acclaimed hospital in St Louis and I didn't receive exceptional care that came anywhere close to St Clare Hospital. At St Clare you are treated like a person and not just a number. Kudos to all caregivers at all institutions, but unfortunately management controls the care patients receive. St Clare Hospital must be managed by saints!

Excellent and attentive staff and patient care! I presented in the ER this past Tuesday with the beginning of Shingles. I was triaged immediately and treated by the NP without hesitation!
I ended up back in the ER early Thursday morning in excruciating pain due to the Shingles virus. Once again, they remembered me, had nothing but compassion for my current situation and took me to a room immediately! The nurses were absolutely amazing (I was in the worst pain that I could ever remember). She got me changed, set up in the bed and immediately started to assess as well as starting my IV and doing all they could to comfort me.
I want to give a special THANK YOU to Dr. Ian Ferguson. He was beyond anything I could have hoped for during this crisis of mine 💙 Thank you all so very much! I always have and will continue to recommend St. Clare Hospital to any and all. Simply for the care and compassion they provide! Nothing but EXCELLENCE!!!

Just wanted to come on here and leave an update since my last review. I only have one thing to say… BRING BACK Becky!!!
The only reason I’m giving this place a five star rating is because of Nancy, Becky! These nurses are amazing and go above and beyond. They are so overworked and at times very unappreciated by some of the clients. High five to Mark and Jeff as well these two councilors are handling very heavy caseloads but still manage to show that they love their job and want what’s best for their clients. They also know how to handle the hot headed ones 😂🙋🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ the reasons I could have given it a one star:
Their drug lab sucks!! 50 percent of the time their results are wrong. You could be 100 percent clean and the test could come back positive. They know the lab sucks but says there is nothing they can do about it… when they send it back to be retested then most of the time the true results will come back. But now they have this new rule where you have to pay 35 dollars for your test to be retested!! It’s a money making scam!! They tell you the lab sucks and most of the time will get your results wrong but now wanna charge you 35 to have it sent back!??!? They know they’ll make hella money! What pisses me off is for the one such as myself who are on probation, this could potentially get me in huge trouble! Thank god I get hair follicles from the state! For the love of God New Seasons… GET A NEW LAB!!
