Amazing! There is help and CRC is a part of it. I ain't going to sugar coat it. Nothing is for everyone. There was a lot of down time for me I struggled to fill. It could be different, but more importantly I should have done more. They showed me the beginning of recovery and I am very grateful for that. Went in for a minor surgical procedure. Staff was very friendly, addressed all of my questions, and I did not have to wait hours like you do in a larger hospital. My wife and I parked and were inside the hospital in less than a minute. The smaller facility made the experience much less stressful. Highly recommended.

Been getting counseling for several years and they have helped me a lot. What I don’t like is you get use to a really good therapist that you can trust and then they end up getting a different job which just happened to me recently. I had Leslie for a counselor and I miss her so much.

I felt my son was receiving great care while he was there... The staff was great about keeping me informed with issues, my son expressed that the facility was nice, the food was good and the staff was nice. Unfortunately he didn’t complete the program and only stayed 16 days. He has since relapsed and is talking about rehab again. I hope if he goes that it works this time.

I checked myself into gateway back in July 2023 I'm now almost at my 2 years sobriety. I also started my bachelors in psychology because I now know what I want to do with my life and my future. I want to work at gateway or any rehab facility for those struggling with alcohol and drugs. Matt the counselor at gateway really made a difference in why I stayed there and why I now have the confidence I have. He believed in me and his words still resonate with me today. The staff all around was the best really. They made me feel safe and made me feel special outside of my alcohol abuse.

I cannot say a single negative thing about a single person I've met at this clinic! I've been a patient at the MAT clinic for almost a year and everyone I've encountered has been not only supportive but an exceptional example of humanity. Keep an open mind when reading reviews. There are hundreds of people that come to this clinic. There has to be rules in place and some are not going to be understanding or appreciative. Especially in today's society where everything is supposed to be gift wrapped with a smile. This facility treats the most difficult conditions society faces and they do an excellent job of it. I'll never forget the feeling that I had when I walked into gateway in Springfield il. I was in terrible condition. The moment I walked through the door I had an overwhelming feeling that I was going to be ok and I was just where I needed to be. Mr. James sits at the front door. He's the most polite, well mannered, welcoming, man I've ever met in my life. My heart was so happy to see him. Nicest man I've ever met. From there it just kept getting better. I met Josh Ronan. He truly cared about me. He made me feel like I belonged. I finally belong somewhere. And that is a feeling I can't describe. Then I met James on the men's unit. He is a thors hammer of a man. He was wonderful also. He made my heart happy. My counselor was Rhonda. She went above and beyond to help me with all my needs. I highly recommend gateway in Springfield il to any and all needing assistance. This place helped to save my life. They gave you all the tools you need to recover. Beyond thankful for the support, care, and attention given to my loved one in treatment. They supported and encouraged him through heavy loss and lasting grief. Great place to get help with opioid addiction Mrs. Bell the director is amazing person who truly cares about her patience. The nurses are amazing and listen and the counselors truly care all of them.( It's been three years since I left my first review of MedMark and I still feel it is an accurate review I would like to point out that there's rules that you have to follow when you're in treatment and a lot of people don't follow those rules and when they're held accountable they leave bad reviews. The rules are there to help you not only gets sober but stay sober and I can wholeheartedly say that the director Miss Bell and her staff truly care about each and every patient at that clinic. ..)

This facility was absolutely wonderful. Everything was nice and clean. Well maintained and all the amenities, included. It was never a problem to use the laundry room. Wash whatever needed to be washed you could take a shower whenever you felt necessary. Food and snacks galore. By the way, the food was pretty good, but they had movies games. You go to the gym every morning. Just everything you need to get in practice of living a healthy life
And the staff is just amazing. If you have an open mind an open heart and you are ready and willing to change your life. These are the people that will help you do it it is not just a job to them them. They have lived it or lived with it in one fashion or another and they understand. they have compassion and empathy and they really want to see you succeed. The resources they have access to are amazing They will help you find a safe place to go if necessary after your treatment. there's just so much they will help you with but let me make it clear they will help you. They will not do it for you. You will have to do the leg work but they will help you. If it's out there they will help you or find someone who will help you get what you need. A lot of them spend their own time and money to make the experience More enjoyable and to take the edge off the seriousness sometimes. Far above and beyond what they have to do for sure. Just exceptional people
I can say I did not have one bad experience.
Some days I loved it. Some days I didn't want to be there but everyday I learned something whether I realized or not and sometimes it took a while to accept the truth but they were always there to talk to help to cheer you up. I laughed more than I have in years when you're in a room with people who have all been there, done that and you start telling stories. You just can't help but laugh sometimes the stupid things we do as addicts but you realize you're not alone and the past is the past tomorrow is a new day and it'll all be okay just take it one day at a time .
There are so many people who made a difference in my life that I will never forget I can't possibly mention everyone by name but I would like to say thank you to all of you at Chestnut I would not be sitting here today with 3 months sober without you!

This location has come along way compared to the way it was before. I’ve been coming here since 2022 and have had better progress and experience than I’ve had with any other facility in my part of Illinois/St. Louis. Although the psychiatric program is horrible and the therapy program would be excellent if you weren’t spending more time getting to know a new therapist every 6 months instead of working on your issues. (so when another job position opens up and pays more these therapist up and leave). For the most part I don’t have anything bad to say about this place my doctor is Kevin Garner and he’s the best primary care Provider that I’ve ever had. He cares and if he can help me with anything he does are points me into the direction I’m supposed to go. I recommend this place for anything from drug addiction to the flu are just getting your meds filled. Just go find a therapist or a psychiatrist somewhere else!!!

I used to go to the Hines VA in Chicago now the Springfield clinic. I have never had a problem with either! The Springfield VA/ Danville are so good. It makes me feel guilty to go there. They really care.

My daughter just finished treatment there a few weeks ago, and I can't rave enough about her counselor, Shannon. She always listened intently to everything my daughter said, helped her understand the issues she was having and assisted her with finding the coping mechanisms and outlets that best suited her. The front line staff were always helpful and courteous from the first moment we walked in to the facility when my daughter was in crisis mode.

I came here at the age of 14 when they were on strike and had to leave due to a lack of professionalism and consistency but I have to say I am very impressed with how much better they’ve gotten under new management, I don’t necessarily agree with the policies of services and the grounds they have for termination but they are fair and understandable nonetheless.

This residential facility is amazing. Set on the grounds of farmland. They have their own school, church, equine center, gymnasium, tec center and great cottages for the kids to stay. The staff is friendly, kind, and caring. Highly recommend.

SPTC now MedMark has been a true blessing for me and my significant other. Every person has a different path in recovery and I’m truly blessed to have the support of all the staff (Lindsay, JoAnn, Jill, Darell, Blaine, Jen, and Laurel)on mine. I have gained something from each of them and know there is nothing that would make them second guess the part they play in my recovery. I would recommend this facility to anyone and everyone who is wanting a change in their lifestyle. Everyone deserves a happy healthy and whole life!

To those leaving "reviews" saying they are upset because they can't get any information about their loved one:
1 - This is a Forensic Mental Health Hospital, not a hotel, prison, or public rehabilitation facility. Most patients are here because a judge has sent them here, not because their family checked them in or they walked in off the street. Unless you are a Dr or a Dr's office with a pre-approved contact, or are named on the patients contact list, you aren't going to get any "medical records" or even confirmation of their presence on the grounds.
That's the state law, not our policy.
HIPAA laws dictate that unless you are an approved contact we can't even confirm that a patient was or wasn't there, let alone give out medical information. We could literally be charged with a crime if we did.
I understand that you are concerned for your loved one and just want to know how they are doing, but that doesn't change the law. Our staff handling the phones get dozens of calls requesting information on a daily basis, most of which must be turned away in a similar fashion. That doesn't excuse rudeness, but be aware that it has nothing to do with you specifically unless you continue to call hoping for a different answer.
2 - Rating a business one star because you are a bad driver is pretty weak. Don't ride people's tail... Sounds like you got less than you deserved.

My girlfriend took me to HSHS Good Shepherd ER in November of 2023, I was nauseous and in severe pain. They immediately got me in a wheelchair, then to a bed. They were very kind , did ct, bloodwork and urine test. Diagnosed me with 2 large kidney stones and a UTI. Hooked me up to an IV with antibiotics and meds for pain and nausea. Within 3 hours I left the hospital with a diagnosis and feeling so much better. The ER doctor and nurses were very caring, empathetic and efficient. This is an excellent small hospital!!!

Dr. Guaglianone is an Oncologist that comrs to the specialty clinic at HSHS Good Shepard EVERY Monday, Where the MEDICAL center pharmacy use to be. Dr. Guaglianone and his office staff are spectacular and I couldnt be happier with the care that I have gotten from ALL of them, ESPECIALLY.Caroline (U know who u are).
